Mark looked up from his desk as the door ...
Mark looked up from his desk as the door opened, his face lighted up when he saw Yuri walk in. As he passed by, Mark gave him a smile, but it quickly vanished when Yuri scowled and made a small "Hmph!" that was directed only at him. Mark's face fell, thoughts rushing through his head. "W_hat was that for? Was it something I did?" He turned around in his seat and and studied Yuri. Yuri's head was down so Mark couldn't see his face, but Mark noticed something different, on Yuri's neck there was a little skull necklace. "_When did he get that? It wasn't on him this morning." Mark thought to himself. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Zen turn around and smile at Yuri. Yuri looked up and smiled back. Mark clenched his fist, but he didn't seem to notice. Zen noticed Mark and gave him a small smirk. Mark was about to give him one of his growls but then something that felt like a needles pierced his cheek.
Mark shouted "OW!" bringing his paws to his cheek. Mrs. Guin turned around from the board
"What is it Mark?"
"N-nothing Mrs. Guin..." Some of the students snickered, others gave him weird looks, but what really got to him was when he heard Yuri give a small snicker. Again, thoughts ran through his head "Did he seriously think that was funny?" Mark looked at Yuri. Yuri smiled at him, but it wasn't a nice smile. It was one of those cruel smiles. Yuri stuck his tongue out at Mark. Mark was shocked. "Why is he acting this way?" Mark turned away and rubbed his cheek. When he took his paw away and looked at it, he could see some tiny drops of blood. He didn't care. All he could think about was Yuri's strange behavior......and the strange skull necklace on his neck.
