Hunted Hunter Poem
Running on ever nimble feet
Moonlight races through the shadows
Through the trees
Golden eyes in the dark
Hiding in velvet, soft
Paws to hands, pelt to skin
All the better to lure her in
The moon watches from above
As the hunter falls in love
Prey to lover, lovers till death
All the better to lure him with
Sweet sweat, rustled leaves
There's a glimpse for moon to see
Yellow, orange, and gold
Black, silver, bold
Hunted caught before moon's sight
But who has hunter's right
Quick as lightning, flash like steel
One becomes the other's meal
