"Steven. I vow to always be there with you, thick or thin. Good or bad." I stared into my lover's eyes. They had a beautiful glimmer to them. A green, but not a normal green, a bright green full of life and happiness.

Throughout the hourly ceremony he never blinked, like he was afraid if he did I'd disappear but knowing him, and his history... he had good reason not to.

"Leon, baby do you?" He had a worried look on his face.

"Do I what? I was lost in your eyes." He giggled. The pastor cleared his throat clearly annoyed he had been ignored. He read the passage of the bible again then asked the same question.

"Steven, do you promise to..." His eyes met mine and I was lost in them again. Then his lips moved, forming the words, with a smile, I do. The pastor talked again, my eyes locked on my lover's face now. So full of life and joy, I could or would never lose my interest in him. He always ever since we had first met had a special spot in my heart. Suddenly his hands tightened on mine signaling my turn for the words binding us together for life.

"4 years and now I get to say this... What kinda question is "do I wish to be with this cougar right here?" Everything went silent. A slow tear trailed down the cougar's face. "I don't do... I fucking do." Everyone had luck of amazement of their face. Life they really expected the usual from me. Heh, idiots. I looked at Steven, then his eyes exactly. "I will never just do, never just love, never just love. I will always freaking, fucking, or any other adjective I can think of to pronounce my love to you. I love you move than this world itself." A multitude of tears had streamed down his face as I ended my speech.

"You may now kiss the uh...groom." The pastor said in a questioning tone. Our lips met in a kiss unlike any other. It lasted only a few seconds but there was a special mix to it as well. We were no longer just lovers, but now life lovers. Everyone stood and clapped, the ordinary response to a newly married coupled. We danced for hours, just him and me. Most of the food was skipped for good reasons, never hire a last minute chef, they always suck.

Around nine p.m. everyone had left for home or wherever they planned on going including us. I drove in my father's car, a nice 2000 Camaro SS. We got home and did what any newly weds would do, watch Netflix, eat fish and chips and cuddle until one or both fell asleep.
