okay, first of all, for all those who look at my stories just to paw to them, i appreciate it! i really do! it's a great compliment to my writing that you would. the orgy that i promised you -is- in the works = )

however, as i'm doing that, i'm also adding on to the series in a bit of a unique manner. now you all should know that i'm practicing for a novelist's career. i don't plan on writing yiff for the mainstream bookstore-goer, no... but i do plan on opening peoples' minds to furries as much as i can through my fiction. and this series is my practice.

i -love- this series and its concept, and i have a lot of well-formed ideas for its plot. so i'm going to be writing this for a long time. indefinitely. i want to turn this from a story series into a rich, beautiful, unique world to escape into where one story informs another, where there are aspects of developing art, science, religion, and community all progressing and changing each other. because that kind of world is just more fun to write in and more fun to read ^^

so i'm starting now. here are the very first three books of the Naairi, the most common religious text of Naaiyar. it's somewhat like the Bible. no you're not gonna get preached at = ) it sounds more like Aesop's fables than something touting God. i hope to write this text alongside my story--along with history books, science books, journals, poetry, etc-- to give richness and dimension to the world. and don't worry. i won't let the side projects consume the main plot. this is still all about pokemon fucking = ) i mean only for them to be subsumed for the life of the narrative.

please, read and enjoy. ratings and comments are always, always appreciated and helpful to me. don't be shy ^^ the smallest critique sometimes makes the biggest difference.

Fables - Book 1

(1) it is Nature and Time who have made all that ever was, for there is naught before Time and no thing without Nature.

(2) the first land They called Naai; for without it, all was waste and there was nothing of substance.

(3) in Naai, They created valleys to blow their winds through, and rivers to flow.

(4) They created mountains to be the high points and fields to be the low.

(5) above, Time placed the suns to nourish Hir day and the moons to nourish Hir night.

(6) below, Nature gave birth to a Fox and a Rabbit; and Shi smiled upon them, for Naai was no longer an empty land.

(7) now in Time had always lain order, and in Nature had always lain chaos.

(8) day and night, lightening lit up the sky with their argument, and the mountains shook with their temper.

(9) but in the center of Naai had always been an ever-growing garden where the voices of Nature and Time could not be heard.

(10) the Fox and the Rabbit played all day in the garden without growing hungry, and They slept huddled together all night without being afraid.

(11) They did not know they were enemies because Time nor Nature had told them.

(12) one day, the Fox said to the Rabbit, "what is outside of this land we play in? go past that tree, and the next one, and the next one, and come back to tell me what is there."

(13) the Rabbit trusted the Fox and left the garden, and the Fox stayed.

(14) Time looked down and saw Hir child leaving the garden, and Shi went to the Rabbit and said, "why do you leave the garden? it is safe there for you, and the Fox is there to play with you and sleep with you."

(15) and the Rabbit said, "the Fox asked me what was outside of the garden, so i went to see."

(16) hearing this, Nature too went to the Rabbit, because Shi was pleased Hir child had wandered.

(17) Nature said to Time, "look, our child has wandered, does this not please you?"

(18) and Time said to Nature, "the Rabbit and the Fox should stay in the garden where it is safe, does this not please you?"

(19) and so the spirits of Time and Nature were with the Rabbit, and She knew to be afraid of the Fox, and She ran.

(20) as night dawned, the Fox followed to see where the Rabbit had gone.

(21) and the Fox left the garden, and the spirits of Time and Nature were with Him, and He was hungry, and He chased the Rabbit.

(22) and that is why today, because the children of Time and Nature have heard Their voices, every creature grows hungry, and every creature is afraid.

(23) and even today, every creature will grow hungry once they wander from their home.

(24) and even today, Time and Nature argue atop the mountains and in the sky, and every creature is afraid of the dark at night.

(25) today, when Nature bears a child, Time gets angry and makes it age and die. when Time destroys the world and makes it decay, Nature always recreates it.

Book 2

(1) bend down before the Rabbit and bend down before the Fox; for they two were the first to have life in Naai.

(2) the Fox was always chasing the Rabbit to kill Her and rip Her meat from Her bones.

(3) the Rabbit had always had plenty to fill Her belly in Naai; for Naai had always been an ever-growing garden.

(4) but no matter how much the Fox filled His belly, he could never fill it enough.

(5) there had always been only the two of them in Naai.

(6) there had always been only the female Rabbit and the male Fox, and though the Fox was always chasing the Rabbit, the Rabbit had always been in love with the Fox.

(7) in those days, if a Rabbit mated with a Fox--or if one Beast mated with a different Beast--She would bear Him children.

(8) and the Rabbit had always wanted the Fox to fill Her belly with children.

(9) but the Fox had never known; and He was always chasing the Rabbit to fill His belly.

(10) one day, the Fox was chasing the Rabbit.

(11) and this day, the Rabbit was fragrant, and She could bear children.

(12) She stayed in the open field where the Fox could find Her, and She waited for Him.

(13) the Fox found the Rabbit in the open field, and He pounced upon Her.

(14) and He ripped Her meat from Her bones to fill His belly, and the wind swept away the spirit of the Rabbit.

(15) the Fox filled his belly to the top, ripping the meat of the Rabbit clean from Her bones, and the fox did not feel shame for what he had done.

(16) but when there was no meat left on the bones, the wind swept through the bones of the Rabbit, and on the wind was the voice of the Rabbit.

(17) the voice told the Fox what he had done.

(18) and the voice told the Fox that the Rabbit had always been in love with Him.

(19) so the Fox sat and hung his head and rained tears onto the bones of the Rabbit until His belly was no longer full to the top.

(20) that is why today, we do not eat bones or throw them over our shoulders but, instead, we bury them in our gardens. they are rich with the tears of the Fox, and they make our gardens fertile.

(21) no matter how much the Fox filled his belly from then on, He could never fill it enough.

(22) that is why today, the fox can never get enough to fill his belly to the top and why he must always hide for what the wolf has left behind; for the rabbits are afraid of him.

(23) and the Fox ran alone in Naai until the end of his life.

(24) so because the Fox shamed the Rabbit's love to Him, even today the fox and rabbit are mortal enemies; and the fox hunts the rabbit to fill his belly; and the rabbit runs from the fox.

(25) and even today, the rabbit will not bear a child to the fox, nor will one beast bear a child to a different beast.

Book 3

(1) in all of their argument, there has been one thing that Time and Nature have agreed on; that is that there must be balance to the world.

(2) as it is with Nature and Time themselves; for when one creates, the other destroys, and the other creates again out of the ashes.

(3) at the end of the Fox's days, when Time had made him age and die,

(4) Nature looked down again upon Naai, which was the land that Shi and Time had created together, and frowned upon it; for it was again empty.

(5) but though Nature frowned, Shi was not saddened. Time was pleased that Shi and Nature had agreed over their argument, and Shi made love to Nature.

(6) four years long They copulated, Nature's gestation lasted forty years, and Hir labor lasted one season.

(7) and Nature gave birth to nine of every creature.

(8) from Hir swollen womb came two males and seven females of every Beast. Shi scattered them throughout Naai because Shi crawled this way and that in the pains.

(9) Nature, who loved chaos, went to Hir Children after Shi had gotten up from Hir birthing and said to Them, "run this way and that on this land. eat, sleep, and mate with one another of your own kind that I may have more children to smile upon."

(10) but Time, who loved order, went to Hir Children also and said, "some of you shall hunt one another to fill your bellies, and some of you will run from those who hunt you. those of you who run will eat only from the garden that grows here for you.

(11) the garden will be ever-growing because, when those that hunt age and die, as I have made them to do, their bodies will rot, and they will become food for the garden."

(12) so even today, one beast will mate with another of its kind, and it will give birth to children.

(13) and today, the children will be raised and watched over by beasts of their same kind until Time makes their parents age and die and they become parents themselves.

(14) and today, the father bird will build a nest to mate the mother bird in, and the mother bird will raise her chicks in the nest.

(15) and today, the mother bird will hunt the worm for her chicks, and the father bird will sit in the tree and sing to the mother bird the story of the changing winds.

(16) when Nature gave birth to every Beast in Naai, out of Hir swollen womb came two males, three females, and four hermaphrodites of every Beast.

(17) the hermaphrodites were born in the image of Time and of Nature to be themselves complete; for they could both sew and bear child.

(18) males and females were born to come together, for they are each half of a mateship; for the male can sew a child and the female can bear it.

(19) so even today, there are three sexes a beast can be born as.

(20) since love was what brought Time and Nature together, Time and Nature spread love to their children, and it is because of love that their children mate.

(21) they also made the act of copulation pleasurable, as it was to them, so that their beloved Children would also have joy.

(22) but Nature had pains in Hir childbirth, so Time spread out these pains over all those who give birth.

(23) all combinations of the sexes can come together as wholes in mateships and have love between them.

(24) but males and males cannot form children, and females and females cannot form children, but Nature blesses them with joy from one another as well. as does Shi give Hir Children joy from many sources.

(25) and Nature's Children grew and proliferated throughout Naai, and They never grew too many for Naai because Time's cycle staid them. so today, too, should we not try to subvert the wishes of Time and of Nature.
