He knew he would get her. He had tried everything, standard pickup lines, bribes, even trying to threaten her. Jake was an average sleazy junior. Skipping his classes and only looking for one thing, a hot girlfriend. Well Jake had his mind set on one girl, Tiffany. A junior in her prime, Tiffany was sleek, sexy, and smart. Jake had been trying to get her to date him all year. But she always said no saying his shaggy black hair was a disgrace and that his thin out of shape body was pathetic. She hated the way he dressed, having leather streamers connecting the pockets on his cargo pants. He was sick of all this.
Yesterday he visited a so named "magic shop" to oblivious to realize magic wasn't real. He had purchased a small vial of something the shopkeeper referred to as love potion. He had only bought it because the store owner wouldn't let him walk out without it. So Jake thought he'd give it a shot. All day he tried sneaking her the potion, in her milk at lunch, in her cookies in cooking, even rubbing her lip balm in it. Jake never got the chance.
The bus ride home made Jake felt like a failure. The potion would have to wait over the weekend. "Damn it!" Jake thought "ugh no one home but my stupid dog, she'd be here if I didn't fuck it up!" The bus came to a screeching halt and dropped of a steamed Jake.
Jake lived in a standard grade suburb; he walked up to his tessellated house. His Siberian husky Shelby jumped on his leg as he entered trying to convince Jake to pet her. He kicked her away with hatred. Jake stormed into his room. Jakes room was a hellhole compared to the rest of the house. Pornographic posters hung everywhere.
He flopped on his bed surrounded by flawless tits. His right hand hung off the bed with the potion in hand. Shelby barged through his partially open door, ran up to him and rammed his hand to get jakes attention. The potion bottle broke on the bottom spilling the love Juice all over Shelby. After that incident Jake closed his door and fell asleep. Completely unaware of the mutation happening to Shelby in the other room.
Jake started to have a very weird dream. All he saw was black. A female's voice spoke to him in soothing tone. "let me in sweetie" the voice cooed to him. It was a weird dream, it seemed so... Real. Jake jolted awake when his display knife fell off the shelf above the door. He wondered what made it fall. A loud ferocious pounding on jakes door startled Jake. A woman's voice sounded outside the door in the same tone as in his dream. "Come on out hon." this scared the shit out of Jake. He knew it wasn't Tiffany. Some freaky stalker had broken into his house. Jake snuck over to his knife and pulled it out of it's sheath. The voice sounded again, "fine. I'll just wait in the living room." The sound of footsteps relaxed Jake. This gave him the element of surprise.
Jake opened his door stealthily and snuck down the hallway. He slid into the living room unnoticed. He looked around the room and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Shelby's ears perked up from the chair Jake thought she was lying on. "Oh! You finally came out!" the voice sounded from the chair. It made the hairs on the back of jakes head stand on end. The figure that he thought was Shelby stood up. The stranger looked like a six foot tall husky with human like forepaws. She had the same fur as Shelby did but had huge humanlike boobs and genitals. Jake was mortified, he'd never seen nor heard of something like this. "What's the matter Jake?" the strange lady cooed, "You never gave me a second thought before."
"Shelby?" Jake asked nervously
"What do ya want hon?" She responded.
"Wha. What happened to you?" Jake asked in a worried tone. "Aw shit it was that potion wasn't it?"
"I think so, it burned like hell," she pondered it for a minute. "Since when do you care this much about me anyway? All you ever do is kick me around, literally!"
"Forget it. Let's just get some clothes on for you." Jake offered.
"why do I have to wear clothes?" Shelby asked annoyed.
"Because I'd rather have a dressed anthro dog than a naked anthro dog incase someone comes over!" Jake said demandingly forcing Shelby into his moms' closet hoping Shelby would come out with at least pants on. It was odd Jake thought. He found himself oddly attracted to Shelby now. He shook his head 'naw that would be demented and sick.' Shelby emerged from his mothers' closet with jeans and a standard blue shirt. Shelby had cut a hole in the back of her pants so her tail could stick comfortably.
"So what would we do?" Shelby asked curiously.
"I'm gonna turn on the news and see if this is unique or a world wide mistake." Jake said in a shaky tone. He turned the local news on. Nothing. After an hour Jake changed the channel to the international news. Jake thought he had good luck because the first report was exactly what they were looking for. The reporter started talking.
"In other news a drug flaw went unnoticed by the FDA a week ago and is already taking major effect on the world. A new non gelatinous lotion is great when used on humans, but if it gets on animals it mutates them to give them human features. There are well over 6000 cases around the U.S. For now the government has decided that all laws that apply to humans will apply to these anthro's." The report ended and the show went to commercial.
"I guess its okay to go outside now" Shelby commented insisting on something. "Come on Jake let's go get some lunch."
"I. I guess your right come on let's go." Jake stuttered surprised at his discovery. His parents took the car so they had to walk to the small restaurant they had planned to go to. Jake was surprised only 5 people gave them funny looks. Jake and Shelby ate a tasty chicken lunch. Talking to each other like they were on a date. Jake enjoyed himself. He felt he was turning a new leaf. He stopped being a juvenile pain in the ass and started acting joyful and normal. At the end of the weekend Jake thought to him self 'Tiffany is so boring compared to Shelby.' Jake and Shelby ran home together and lived together ever since.
