With Kal thoroughly spent, Nyx awakens to a strange reality with little knowledge of the how and why. But is a chance encounter enough to satisfy his wanderlust?

>> MATURE for impending bad puns. You have been warned.

With Kal thoroughly spent, Nyx awakens to a strange reality with little knowledge of the how and why. But is a chance encounter enough to satisfy his wanderlust?

>> Author's Notes

I'm very excited to share this story. This combines several interests - the crux species, Digimon and Guilmon, and a cyberpunk setting. There are some nods to Cyberpunk 2077 as well, though it's merely a touch of inspiration. The commissioner is intending on this being a series, and we've discussed the overall series' plot, so please look forward to future installments.

Thank you for your patronage nfjrrjf, and thank you all for reading and enjoying. Cheers!

The first light of dawn tiptoed through the rain-soaked windows, casting fragmented beams across Kal's apartment. Nyx's eyes fluttered open, awakening to this tangible realm. His consciousness expanded within the confines of his newfound flesh, the Guilmon form pulsating with a vibrancy that was entirely real and not just digital fantasies. The remnants of dreams danced at the edge of his consciousness, almost as if someone else were having them, mere faded whispers in the back of a mind otherwise anchored in the present.

"Where am I?" Nyx questioned, the words drifting softly into the ambient hum of the apartment. His voice resonated with the essence of a bewildered wanderer, seeking answers in a new reality.

The Guilmon sat up, feeling the tug of rubber around him, and gazed around in awe, taking in the surroundings and the novel physicality of his own existence. The room exuded a soft, ambient glow from the holographic displays flickering around Kal's workbench. A constellation of wires snaked across exposed brick walls, forming a pulsating techno-tapestry that illuminated the space. The fusion of modernity and homeliness created a unique atmosphere -- an almost paradoxical blend of futuristic aesthetics and the lived-in comfort of a home.

He stood up, the weight of his new body settling onto his haunches. He ambled across the room, navigating this new form with a sense of curiosity. His mirrored visage reflected from a polished surface caught his attention, drawing him closer. Nyx stood tall before it, examining himself with a sense of wonder. His body, once a mere configuration of data, now took form in the physical world. The vivid reds and whites of his skin, interlaced with black markings, stood out starkly against the pale ambiance. Cyan orbs met his gaze, surprising the Digimon. He peered again, but still, his eyes were strikingly unexpected.

His sleek latex form, a convergence of rubbery substance and tangible reality, captivated Nyx. He extended his clawed hands, marveling at the fingers that responded to his will, flexing the muscles of his transformed body. Clicking his steel-clawed fingertips together and wiggling his rubbery toes, the metallic claws resonated lightly in a rhythmic, almost melodic clink.

He traced his hand across his form, relishing sensations he'd never felt so tangibly. The sensation of his digits brushing against each other, the pressure of his rubbery skin meeting his touch, the rise and fall of his chest with each breath -- everything was vividly real, tangible, and alive.

He then brought one hand south to rest on his groin. Ah, yes, that was most certainly real as well.

He wondered, though, why was he here? The last thing he could remember was... well, it was...

Frustration puckered his lips. What had he been engaged in before arriving here? What was his purpose, his reason for being in this place? His hand rose to scratch his forehead, the faint squeak of rubber against rubber breaking the silence. The memory eluded him, slipping through his grasp like an elusive hologram. Despite the elusive nature of the recollection, a pressing sense of its importance lingered, tugging at the corners of his consciousness.

He halted, sensing the stirring presence nestled within him. Ah, this, at least, was becoming clearer. Kal, the crux whose form he now inhabited, slumbered within his being. But what was the cause of this inexplicable fusion? He gently laid a hand upon his chest, acknowledging Kal's presence within.

"I don't think I'm going to get any answers so long as he is asleep," he mused aloud.

Shaking off the mists of existential contemplation, Nyx felt an urge -- a desire to traverse this world pulsating with life. Kal's dormant mind remained enshrouded within, affording Nyx the liberty to explore this physical domain.

Eager steps carried the Guilmon to the window, opening to a cityscape teeming with the paradoxical blend of digital marvels and mundane reality. Neon lights streaked through the rain, painting prismatic hues across the slick cobblestones. Holographic projections danced with the streaming data, crisscrossing the cityscape above like a celestial web.

The lure of the open sky, dotted with a panorama of glimmering skyscrapers, beckoned Nyx. He opened the window, and yearned to traverse this urban jungle, to tread the heights and explore the city from a vantage point unlike any other. With a dancer's grace, Nyx leaped out of the window, his tail trailing behind him like a ribbon of living shadows.

The Guilmon's digital nature imbued him with unparalleled agility. He bounded from rooftop to rooftop, the rainwater splashing in response to his fleet movements. The city spread before him in a mesmerizing panorama, an electric canvas alive with the pulsating rhythm of its inhabitants. He needed to see more!

He reached a towering edifice, its facade adorned with an array of flashing neon billboards. Nyx eyed the colossal structure, its surface glinting with the reflections of myriad holographic displays. With sinewy limbs and metallic claws, he scaled the gleaming structure, his ascent a symphony of precision and strength. The hum of the city below reverberated against the metallic surface as Nyx clung to the building's side, his appendages firmly embedded in the grooves of the architecture.

Nyx marveled at the ceaseless dance of color and light before him, the harmonious cacophony of a city perpetually in motion. Vectorium City, a throbbing metropolis of cybernetic grandeur, was beyond words to the wide-eyed Digimon. The rain painted a shimmering veil over the cityscape, a gossamer curtain that only enhanced the neon-drenched allure of the metropolis below. His cyan eyes gazed down upon the mosaic of life, reveling in the awe-inspiring vista that sprawled before him. He marveled at the intricate network of streets and data streams dancing through the city, entranced by its pulsing energy. In this moment seemingly suspended between reality and virtuality, he found himself captivated.

Perched high on the side of the towering structure, Nyx overlooked the city, his gaze tracing the rain-dappled skyline. The soft drizzle cast a hazy veil over the landscape, painting the horizon in a spectrum of subdued hues. As his eyes drifted across the cityscape, they settled upon a distinct spirelike building jutting up against the overcast sky. An unsettling feeling crept through Nyx's consciousness -- a notion of distrust that seemed to emanate from the structure itself. Shaking off the sensation, he shifted his focus downward, scanning the bustling streets below.

With agile precision, Nyx scaled down the sleek building's facade, each downward leap showcasing his incredible strength and dexterity. Landing on the ground with a graceful thud, he exuded an almost feline elegance. His enhanced physique enabled him to navigate the urban landscape effortlessly. He wandered through the bustling streets, a vivid display of neon signs and holographic projections enveloping him in a kaleidoscope of colors. The ambient hum of the city -- echoing conversations, music pouring from shops and bars -- saturated the air, adding a layer of vibrancy to the already dynamic scene. Nyx meandered past a plethora of establishments, from sleek tech shops showcasing the latest cybernetic enhancements to dimly lit bars exuding an air of mystery.

Nyx's appearance elicited a spectrum of reactions from the city's denizens. His bright red body shimmered under the neons and rain; he couldn't help but draw attention. Some regarded him with wariness, their expressions veiled behind augmented reality lenses, while others whispered with intrigue, their curiosity sparking visible ripples in the crowd. He relished the attention, reveling in the enigma he embodied.

Yet, amidst the mesmerizing sprawl of Vectorium City, Nyx sensed a dissonance -- an anomaly that reverberated within his being. A tingling unease nestled at the fringes of his consciousness, a whisper of discord amidst the symphony of the city. He sniffed at the air, his keen nose picking up the scent... of something. He stepped forward towards this unknown entity, following an invisible thread leading him toward an unknown destination, an indescribable resonance with a purpose buried deep within.

He navigated the datastreams, following the intangible beacon that tugged at his consciousness. With each stride, the datastreams wove their way through the streets, revealing cryptic directions, guiding Nyx toward the odor's enigmatic source. The scent was elusive, teasingly fading and reemerging, keeping Nyx intrigued yet baffled by its erratic nature.

After some time of wandering down streets and alleys the nagging sensation simply disappeared. Nyx couldn't pick it up. He circled around the block once and again, but whatever it was, it was gone. Dejected, he wandered a bit aimlessly, but then stopped as he looked across the way.

Emerging from a shop of sorts was a stunning figure. A twin-tailed fox stood in a shimmering iridescence of cybernetic enhancements, the playful flicker of neon lights reflecting in his mesmerizing eyes. His body was striking against the darkened backdrop; blue and magenta gradient giving way to pure white. He wore little to protect himself from the elements save for a mesh tank and low-cut shorts. The rain fell around him gently, creating an otherworldly aura about him. The fox's gaze fell upon Nyx, and one of his tails seemed to perk up, and licked its lips in approval.

Their eyes met in an electrifying moment, a silent exchange that conveyed curiosity and interest. Nyx's playful nature prompted him to approach, his gait filled with confidence and intrigue. As he drew nearer, the fox offered a charming yet enigmatic smile, a subtle invitation tinged with an air of mystery.

"Aren't you a pretty one," Nyx said as he approached, entranced by the fox's allure. "I saw you across the way, and just couldn't help myself."

The fox placed a hand on one hip, and leaned to one side. "Aren't you the bold one."

Nyx chuckled, his voice laced with a hint of mischief. "Guilty," he replied, closing the distance between them. "Subtlety is boring, what can I say?"

The fox laughed softly, a sound that sent shivers down Nyx's spine. "Well, you certainly have good taste," he said with a wink.

Nyx found himself entranced by the fox's playful yet alluring mannerisms, unable to resist the magnetism that emanated from him. He found himself leaning in closer, drawn by an inexplicable pull towards this mysterious creature.

The fox looked over Nyx with curiosity. "And here I thought I was augmented," he said, placing an exploratory hand against Nyx's cheek, the touch surprisingly synthetic against his rubbery flesh.

Nyx quirked his head to one side in surprise. "What do you mean?"

The fox laughed. "I've only dreamed of full-body augmentation. Complete immortality, stunning foreverness... perfectly irresistible." With a graceful gesture, he extended his arm and delicately curled his fingers, lost in a moment of pure self-indulgence. "And here you are... I can't help but be enthralled by the thoroughness of your enhancements."

Nyx looked upon the fox inquisitively, his effortless jargon-dropping confusing him. "I think I might be misunderstanding."

The fox merely shrugged, and then looked deep into Nyx's deep pools of cyan. "My, those are striking eyes," he said breathlessly, an air of familiarity lacing through his words. He held a hand out, which Nyx graciously took. "Never mind my ramblings. My name is Coshi. What brings such a lovely creature like yourself to Vectorium?"

Nyx looked thoughtful for a moment; he was a stranger in unfamiliar territory. A sly smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he leaned in closer. "I'm just a wandering through, searching for something to hold my attention," he purred seductively. "I think I've found it," eyeing the fox up and down.

"Vectorium is a magnificent menagerie of indulgences," the fox grinned, cupping Nyx's cheek. "You could check out the braindance bar here if you want, but..." he swished his tails playfully around Nyx's waist, its tongue licking delicately up his abs. "I have some better ideas if you're interested," the fox grinned.

"Braindance...?"

"AR on the cheap."

"AR...?"

Coshi's eyes roamed over the Digimon with a mix of wonder and intrigue. "My dear, you really are an interesting one," he said, his voice light and inviting. "Why don't you join me? My datanet lounge is just across the way, and we can continue this conversation there." He licked his lips teasingly. "I can show you all sorts of pleasures to hold your attention."

Nyx's breath quickened as the tails wrapped tighter around him, drawing him closer to the fox. "I never thought you'd ask," he replied.

Coshi pulled a sleek gadget from his tight shorts, his fingers gliding effortlessly over the buttons and screen. With a satisfied smile, he stowed it away with a flick of his wrist. "Alright, let's go."

Nyx leaned in closer, nudging his snout invasively against Coshi, attempting to get a closer peek at the odd device. "That's a fun-looking toy. What does it do?"

"Ah, just a communicator. I just met a business associate, and had to make a few notes while it was still on my mind," he laughed dismissively.

The two walked the length of a few streets, idle conversation flowing between them. Nyx, guided by a surge of curiosity and a hint of flirtatious charm, leaned in closer to Coshi. He couldn't help himself; Coshi was such a beautiful creature, and he left little to the imagination. Lithe and sensual, Nyx couldn't help but enjoy how the little excuse of an outfit strained to contain the fox, and yet...

A smile played upon his lips as he wondered if he could convince Kal to wear much the same when he awoke.

Coshi led Nyx through the city's labyrinthine alleys to his establishment. As Nyx and Coshi stepped into the datanet lounge, the air crackled with anticipation. They walked down a short flight of stairs, and turned to face an open room flanked by a café counter. The place exuded an atmosphere any technophile would be right at home in; dimly lit terminals glowing softly, holographic imagery dancing before clientele, and a few areas to relax and enjoy a bit of refreshment from this reality. The flickering data streams intermingled with the neon-lit ambiance, creating an otherworldly yet inviting setting.

"Welcome to my lounge," Coshi said, gesturing flamboyantly to the room before them. "People come from all around to log into the datanet for... well, whatever," he shrugged nonchalantly. "I really don't care what they do online. My business is just in providing the access."

Nyx looked around with boundless awe. Questions raced through his head, but he wasn't sure how to ask them quite just yet, so he just looked on with curiosity.

The enigmatic fox leaned in closer, his iridescent eyes glinting with a mixture of mischief and sincerity. Nyx couldn't help but feel drawn to the electric energy that radiated from him, a captivating blend of confidence and secrecy.

"Why don't we go to the back room," Coshi purred, his voice dripping with honey.

They walked past rows of terminals, past a sliding door, and through a small hallway. As they passed one door Nyx couldn't help but peer inside. Rows of what appeared to be reclining chairs were filled with people of all walks of life relaxing upon them. All of them had headsets over their eyes. Some moved their limbs erratically, others moved their bodies seductively, and others simply laid and drooled in complete bliss.

"That is our premium room," Coshi noted. "Some of our more... passionate clientele can have unique experiences, and live out some of the most surreal fantasies out there."

"And what are your fantasies?" Nyx let the question hang in the air seductively.

"My fantasies?" Coshi chuckled. "I live it," he said, lifting his arms up in wonder, the cybernetic augmentations whirring alive. He flicked his tail, the voluptuous appendage grinning seductively.

The two continued past the room, and settled into a private back room. Coshi leaned over the chase lounge, relaxing, and looking upon the fiery Digimon with desire. He patted the lounge with one cybernetic hand, urging the other to join him. Nyx couldn't help but get swept up in the alluring aura that surrounded Coshi. It was almost hypnotic, drawing him in closer with each passing moment. Enjoying himself Nyx leaned in closer, and traced a claw up his synthetic arm, feeling the bump of each augmented fiber.

Coshi's eyes glimmered with a mix of curiosity and anticipation as Nyx explored. The touch sent a shiver down his spine, awakening the hidden desires that lurked within him. He leaned in closer, their breaths mingling in the dimly lit room.

"There's something wild within you, something that matches my own untamed spirit," Coshi whispered, his voice filled with a magnetic allure.

Nyx's heart raced, the air thick with an intoxicating blend of attraction and danger. "You have no idea," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper.

Coshi's eyes seemed to ignite with a mischievous flame. He reached out, his fingers delicately grazing Nyx's cheek, tracing the contours of his face in a slow, tantalizing motion. Nyx's breath hitched, his body responding to the touch with an electric surge. The room seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them locked in this intimate dance of desire and intrigue.

Their connection was unlike anything Nyx had ever experienced before. Each touch, each word, sent shockwaves through his very being, awakening dormant sensations that had long been suppressed. Coshi's alluring presence fueled a fire within him, a hunger for something more than just physical pleasure.

As they continued to explore each other's boundaries in this dance of seduction, Nyx couldn't help but wonder about the secrets that lay beneath Coshi's enigmatic facade. What was it about him that drew Nyx in with such an irresistible force? And what other mysteries did he hold?

But in this moment, none of that mattered. All that existed was the tantalizing connection between them, burning brighter with every touch and kiss. As Nyx felt Coshi's touch, a surge of raw energy coursed through his veins. It was as if the boundaries between them dissolved, leaving only the intoxicating connection between their bodies. With a deep exhale, he surrendered himself to the moment, letting go of any reservations or doubts. This was a realm where inhibition and caution were cast aside, replaced by a fiery passion that consumed them both.

Their bodies entwined, moving in perfect synchrony, as if they had been molded for each other. Nyx found himself lost in the depths of Coshi's eyes, their intensity drawing him deeper into the spellbinding dance of desire. With every movement, every touch, their connection grew stronger, binding them together in a way Nyx had never thought possible.

Coshi's lips brushed against Nyx's with a hunger that matched his own. The kiss was electric, sending waves of pleasure through Nyx's veins, igniting a fire that burned brighter than any star in the night sky. Their bodies moved in harmony, an intricate choreography of longing and surrender. Time ceased to exist as they explored the depths of their shared desires.

Their lips parted briefly, their breaths mingling as they gazed into each other's eyes. In that moment, Nyx felt like he could see right into Coshi's soul. There was something untamed and wild within him, but also an undeniable vulnerability that drew Nyx even closer.

Nyx's hands roamed freely over Coshi's body, igniting a fire wherever they touched. With each caress, Coshi found himself unraveling further under his touch. The intensity between them was unlike anything he had ever experienced before. He groped along, delicately tracing every taut muscle in Coshi's lithe frame with one steel claw, settling upon the fox's shorts. He groped along the synthetic fabric, feeling the smoothness under his fingertips. Looping a finger underneath a belt loop, he noted it stretched with his movements.

Coshi laughed. "Rubber shorts. When you're pretty much made up of the stuff it's just more comfortable," he said, luxuriating in the moment as Nyx slid them down his legs, exposing his erection to the other.

"Heh, we're more alike than I thought," Nyx commented, grasping the fox's heated erection in his hand, feeling the quivering member pulsate between his fingers.

Coshi arched his back, his eyes fluttering shut as Nyx's touch sent ripples of pleasure coursing through his body. As Nyx gently pumped his cock, he felt a surge of desire building within him, the anticipation of their connection making him feel more alive than he had ever felt before.

As Coshi's breathing grew heavier, he pulled Nyx closer with his prehensile tail, their bodies pressing tightly together. The air between them was electric, charged with the meeting of two souls. Coshi's fingers found their way to Nyx's claws, stroking the metal carefully, sending shivers down his spine. He then groped down, feeling his rubbery chest and abs, enjoying the sensations between his own fingertips. Finally, he found his groin, and tenderly grasped his erection.

Nyx's mind was consumed by the sensations that Coshi ignited within him. The intensity of their connection grew stronger, as if they were two feral beasts clawing their way towards the other. He could feel Coshi's heart racing against his own, a symphony of desire and longing, and the pulsating heat from Coshi's erection.

He let out a low growl, a feral sound that seemed to come from deep within him. The claws of his hands tightened around Coshi's cybernetic hand, a sign of both possession and affection. He wanted to be closer to this fox, to feel his touch and his warm skin against his own.

Coshi's breaths quickened, his movements becoming more fervent as he pumped Nyx's erection with increasing vigor. He continued to tug at the Nyx's rubbery body, needing to feel more of him. Their bodies moved together in perfect sync, their passion growing with each passing moment.

Desire overtook both of them, and they needed to explore each other further. Nyx gently pressed Coshi onto the lounge, guiding him onto his back. He leaned down, his lips brushing against Nyx's, their tongues meeting and dancing before breaking away, tendrils of saliva connecting them for a brief moment. He then trailed his tongue down the length of Coshi's body, and slurped over his cock with a slick, sticky sound.

Coshi moaned, his back arching as the sensation of Nyx's tongue danced along his sensitive skin. His fingers curled into the sheets beneath them, gripping tightly as his body trembled with pleasure. Nyx's claws gently tugged on his cybernetic hand as he sucked Coshi's erection deeper into his mouth, savoring the taste of the fox's skin.

The room was filled with the sounds of their passion, the wet slurping noises of Nyx's mouth, intermingled with Coshi's ragged breaths and moans. Nyx's movements became more feverish, his heart pounding with the intensity of his desire. Nyx continued to tease Coshi's erection with his tongue, his claws gently pulling at the root of the fox's tail, sending shivers down his spine. He wanted him to feel every ounce of pleasure he could offer. He couldn't get enough of Coshi's taste, the way his body responded to his touch, the way their souls seemed to merge together in this primal dance of desire.

"Fuck me," Coshi growled out, his voice laden with lustful desire.

Nyx looked up, and grinned. He then kneeled over Coshi's prone form, tracing around his hole with one deft claw. Coshi moaned at the sensation, his hips bucking up to meet him in kind.

"That's it," Nyx growled, his claws clicking as he grasped the fox's legs, and spread them wide apart, revealing his entrance. It was glistening with precum, and Nyx couldn't resist licking it up, savoring the salty flavor. Coshi's hips bucked again, his back arching as he droned out in pleasure.

Nyx then positioned himself at the entrance of Coshi's hole, the tip of his erection pressing against the sensitive skin. With a single smooth motion, Nyx pressed forward, and the head of his erection slid into Coshi's waiting entrance. A surge of raw energy coursed through Nyx's veins as their skin met. The fox's body writhed beneath him, his muscles clenching and releasing as he adjusted to the invasion.

"More," Coshi panted, his hands gripping the lounge as he welcomed Nyx's thrusts. Each movement drove him deeper into the fox's body, every pleasure and every pain mingling together in a melodic symphony.

Coshi's moans echoed through the room, filling the air with the sweet scent of desire. Nyx's movements grew more fervent, his hips thrusting harder and faster. Each thrust sent waves of pleasure coursing through their bodies, binding them together in a connection that was both intimate and primal.

With a devilish smirk Coshi's second tail, alive with desire, started licking against Nyx's own hole, causing the Digimon to hiss in ecstacy, the extra layer of sensation igniting the fire of desire within. His mind fuzzed over, feeling his own hold on reality slipping as he lost himself in this bliss.

"I'm close," Coshi gasped, his body trembling beneath Nyx's.

Nyx's fingers dug into Coshi's hips, his thrusts becoming more erratic. As their movements became more urgent and frenzied, Nyx could feel the climax building within him. Coshi's tail kept working his hole, coaxing him further, giving Coshi just what he wanted. He explored the depths of his being, coating his inner walls with slick saliva, savoring every inch of this delectable specimen. It felt surreal, the intensity of his desire reaching a crescendo.

Coshi's breath hitched with every touch, igniting a fire within their intertwined bodies. The fox was completely consumed by desire, reveling in being the conduit for the overwhelming urges of the Digimon. Nyx's mind was a whirlwind of ecstasy, lost in the intoxicating fusion of their pleasure. In this moment, they existed only for each other, locked in a passionate embrace that transcended all else.

Nyx gave in to the fiery passion coursing through him, casting aside any inhibitions or doubts. He drove into Coshi with every ounce of strength, fully engulfing himself within the fox's tight entrance. Coshi's tail-tongue expertly stimulated Nyx, skewering deep within him, sending shivers of ecstasy down his spine. The duality within him was ignited, fueling his desire as he felt intense arousal take over, shuddering down to his very core, his host feeling nothing but pure unadulterated bliss in the moment. With a wild cry, he released all control and poured himself into the fox, filling him with his essence, their bodies writhing together in pure pleasure and abandon.

Coshi arched his back, matching his movements to Nyx's, his cock erupting in a fountain of seed that splashed about him, landing carelessly on his stomach, even settling upon the netting of his mesh shirt. As he shot his own load, he felt a fire igniting within him, a fire that danced and twirled around his body, a hot and burning sensation that seemed to come from the depths of his very being. Their cries echoed throughout the room, filling it with the raw and untamed power of their desire.

Nyx stared down at the thoroughly spent fox before him, admiring the gentle afterglow of his release. Coshi stared back, their eyes locked as their hearts and souls continued to entwine.

As they lay there, panting and basking in the aftermath of their intense passion, Nyx gently lifted Coshi's limp cock, marveling at the beauty of his prey. He leaned down, his tongue slick and wet, and lapped up the contents of his release. He swallowed every drop, savoring the taste of the fox as if it were the sweetest nectar.

Coshi moaned softly underneath him, his body still trembling from the orgasm that had claimed him. Nyx couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of pride and satisfaction at the sight of this beautiful being reveling in such a state of bliss.

As he stared upon Coshi's prone form he felt an unusual tug from the recesses of his mind. A stirring within, almost as if...

"What the..." Nyx looked about as if a deep anxiety was welling up within him. He stared at Coshi, and his eyes went wide as somewhere deep in the recesses of mind a shattering revelation swept over him.

Coshi lazily traced a finger up and down Nyx's leg. "Aren't you the bold one indeed," he purred seductively, his second tail cuddling around him, practically purring in its indulgence.

Nyx could feel Kal's presence within him awakening. He stomped down Kal's senses the best he could, trying to buy himself some time. He looked down at Coshi once again. "I gotta get going," he urged, releasing the fox from his grip.

"Why rush off?"

"Can't explain! Thanks for a great time!" he called out as he left the lounge, leaving behind a hungry and needy encounter.

Coshi reached after the fleeing Digimon, but he was out the door before he could properly react. The augmented fox clicked his tongue in annoyance, and reached down for his discarded shorts. He pulled his communicator out of one pocket, letting the shiny garment slip to the floor once again.

"Well, at least I got what I wanted," he mused. Bringing the device to his ear, he waited a few moments. "We have... a situation," he said, his voice low, and direct.

Nyx bolted from the datanet lounge, racing through the rain-soaked streets of Vectorium City. But as the Guilmon made headway, he sensed Kal's consciousness rising to the surface, struggling for control. His head forcibly glanced back, feeling Kal's stark realization -- recognition, panic, and a deep-seated worry that wrinkled his snout.

Struggling to retain his composure, Nyx ducked into the obscurity of a shadowy alley, struggling for control as Kal wrestled for dominance within their shared existence. His metallic claws gripped his head, stumbling to the ground in a confusing mix of thoughts and sensations. As Kal's essence began to override his presence, Nyx's rubbery form seemed to dematerialize, retreating in ghostly wisps. The Guilmon's body seemed to dissolve, merging with the neural network of the goggles that adorned Kal's face, once again his own cruxy visage

Kal opened his eyes, grappling with the disarray Nyx had left behind, an air of agitation and tension radiating from him.

"What in the hell even was that?!" Kal cried out venomously, his voice echoing through the alley.

"I'm sorry," Nyx's voice echoed through Kal's mind. "I was curious, and..."

"How DARE you do that?! What even did you do?!"

"Nothing, I just met someone..."

To an onlooker Kal must have looked absolutely crazy arguing with himself.

"And why the hell am I naked?!" Kal cried out as he searched around for something to cover himself up with. He spied a pair of jeans and a tank top draped over the railing of a backdoor entrance, and nabbed them for his own needs.

Nyx held his tongue, but Kal already knew. The stench of the naked fox's essence lingered in the wet air.

"You had sex with that fox, didn't you," he seethed. "You used my body to have sex with someone, what the fuck?!"

"Your body?!" Nyx cried out within Kal's mind. "Like it or not this is now OUR body."

"MY body is not YOUR toy," Kal growled out. "And don't ever go to that lounge again! The corp is running that place, and they can't be trusted."

"The corp? What's a corp?"

"A group of assholes who just... they just hate me," he sighed out. He then realized his obscured vision, and tugged at the yellow goggles fused over his face. "The fuck even is this, I can't take these off?!" Growling with outrage he frantically paced about. "I gotta get to Azzel and figure this out! The hell even is all of this?!"

Amidst his ranting and raving Kal paused mid-stride, an involuntary gasp escaping his lips as he looked up. The cityscape unveiled a mesmerizing canvas of light, an aurora of iridescent currents and pathways shimmering across the urban expanse. These radiant streams, like ephemeral constellations, painted the skyline with a spectrum of colors, weaving and merging like a celestial symphony.

"Woah," he uttered, suddenly aware of a mesmerizing display that had eluded him until that very moment. "What is... what is that?"

"It's the datastream," Nyx responded.

"I've never seen it like this," Kal said, his voice resonating with wonder.

The intricate dance of datastreams above him left him awestruck, following a nearby one with his eyes, turning back around to the end of the alleyway. In that moment it seemed as though the wall itself flickered. He blinked, peering inquisitively, and sure enough it happened again. Its colors glitched and distorted in an irregular manner, like a failing holographic projection.

"The hell... did you do this during your joyride, too?" Kal growled accusingly, pointing ahead at the anomaly.

"No! I... I swear I didn't! That... that's the same smell I picked up on earlier!" Nyx cried out, his voice laced with defensiveness, unsure of how to explain it. His senses heightened, a primal aggression simmering within him, mingling with Kal's flurry of emotions. This was what he had sensed, yet his memories remained shrouded in fog. It felt familiar, and yet...

Driven by curiosity, Kal ventured closer to the alley's end. The air almost crackled with a sense of foreboding, each step Kal took toward the end amplifying the dread creeping up his spine. His breathing hitched as he got closer, the flickering seemingly intensifying, distorting the reality before him with an eerie unreliability, blurring lines between the tangible and the spectral.

Before he could approach further, a shadowy figure began to materialize. It wasn't clear whether it was part of the glitch or something altogether more sinister. The writhing mass in the half-formed shadow loomed closer, tendrils of a shapeless form probing into their realm, sending a chill down Kal's spine. Kal instinctively stepped back, the fur on the nape of his neck prickling with fear. Horror etched across his face as a writhing mass seemed to invade their reality.

"What... what do we do," Kal whispered, sweat beading down his forehead.

He'd been hoping for more substantial advice, but all he got in response was a single word.

"Run."
