Viktoria looked out from her kitchen window, watching the snow slowly falling from the sky, blanketing the ground. The sun was starting to set, and the ethereal wonder of the northern lights were due to light up the sky, making for a perfect December evening. Really, the only thing that would have made it more perfect would be if her boyfriend was with her that evening, but sadly that wasn't the case.

"It's a shame that he's not coming over to visit tonight, but what can you do?" She asked herself - he wasn't always around on full moon nights due to his lycanthropy, but it was usually fun whenever they did hook up on the night of one of his turns. Granted, they had never tried to do anything erotic when he was in his transformed state, but she always thought that he was waiting until the time was right to have some fun. Either way, a night like tonight would have been perfect, hugging up to someone warm and hairy whilst they watched the lights dancing across the sky, it honestly would have been perfect.

"I better get some food cooked - the sooner I get it done, the sooner I can enjoy the lights!" She stepped away from the window, making her way over to the fridge. No sooner than she opened it to look for something to make, did she hear a knocking at the door.

"Huh? Who could that be?" Viktoria closed the fridge and made her way to the front door, opening it up. "Hello?"

To her confusion, there was no-one to be seen. She looked on ahead, and saw a set of footprints in the snow, but the figure who had left them was long gone. "Ugh, I swear some people don't have anything better to do..." She muttered and was about to close the door back up, when she noticed something sitting on the front porch. She knelt down to take a closer look, discovering a small box with a note attached. "Huh... can't say I'm expecting anything... couldn't they have given it to me in person, though?" She picked it up, bringing the box and note into her house as she closed the door behind her.

Viktoria sat down on the sofa, taking a look at the box, picking up the note that was stuck to the top of it. She unfolded it, and read it aloud to herself.

"Hey there, Viktoria!

Sorry I couldn't stick around to give this to you, but you know how I am with moonlit nights. Maybe one day you might get a chance to properly witness my transformation! In all seriousness, though, I wanted to give you your Christmas present a little earlier than I had planned - when I saw that the northern lights were due to happen soon, I thought it'd be neat if you were to have your present now. Don't worry, I'm sure there'll be another gift waiting for you once Christmas Day rolls around!

For now, I hope you like what I've left you. If you do, feel free to seek me out to say thanks afterwards - you do know my address, after all~

Lots of love, Willard."

"So he comes all the way out here to drop off a gift, but doesn't think about sticking around?" She questioned the huge leap in logic there. "I'll never understand him sometimes, I swear... still, it was nice of him to come out of his way to drop this off, whatever it is!"

Viktoria placed the note down upon the table, turning her attention back to the neatly-wrapped gift. She unwrapped it, lifting the lid of the box up to discover a jade green brooch attached to a golden chain, the size looking to be the perfect fit for her neck.

"Ooooh, it looks so nice~" She was grinning from ear to ear, running a finger gently along the gemstone. The colour of it almost seemed to match the hues of green that the northern lights produced. "Makes me wonder where he got the money for it, I've never seen him wearing any fancy rings... though that might be because they'd break off when he changes." She giggled.

"It's a little sad that he couldn't give me this in person, but I'm sure he'll appreciate it if I were to send him a good photo or two of me wearing it!" She carefully picked it up, grasping the chain as she lowered it around her neck, and just as Viktoria had assumed, it was a perfect fit. "I guess this is why he was getting a good feel for my neck? With those big paws of his when he's transformed, I didn't think he'd be able to get a perfect measurement... that and I always thought he was just sizing my neck up to see about biting me!"

She grabbed her phone, selecting the camera app to take a good picture, when a thought came to mind. "Wait... why don't I go get a picture of it outside, have the lights right behind me!" She smirked, heading back towards the front door, keeping her keys with her just in case it shut behind her.

The sun had set, the moon slowly rising up, the only thing obscuring it was the brilliant glow of the northern lights. She tried to figure out a good pose to snap up a picture, wanting to get both the moon and the lights in frame. It was a special occasion, after all, so she did want to ensure that the picture was perfect. Whilst this was going on, she didn't notice that the brooch around her neck was starting to emit a faint glow.

"Come on, I can do this, surely..." Viktoria mumbled, trying to get the best combination of pose and framing. "Maybe I should head back inside and grab that selfie stick... I'm sure I can get a great picture to send Willard, I just have to get everything perfect!"

The glowing grew ever so slightly brighter, an odd warmth filling her - again, something she didn't immediately notice due to how cold it was outside.

"Alright, this should be a good shot!" She smiled, positioning herself well enough to get both the moon and lights directly behind her and above her shoulder. She pressed the capture button, grabbing the shot. "There we go, let's see how it turned out!" She giggled, looking in her photo gallery. "Doesn't look too bad... but did the brooch get some glare from something?" She noticed that it was faintly glowing in the picture, and when she looked at it, she saw that it was glowing brighter still.

"What in the world?" She placed her hand on it, the glowing intensifying more and more. As she looked on at it, she spotted what appeared to be snow-white fur growing on the back of her hand, catching her by surprise. "Huh?!"

The fur grew out steadily, the nails on her fingertips stretching out, darkening, becoming short, sharp claws, the palms of her hands puffing out into smooth black pads. Viktoria looked at her hands, confused to what was going on, even as the fur moved up her arms, her muscles toning up slightly whilst not appearing to grow any larger.

"What's happening to me..." She felt the fur growing across her torso, pushing up against her shirt, making it feel itchy. Her breasts, which were modestly sized to begin with, swelled in size, barely being contained by her tightening top.

"Ugh.. did Willard do this to me? I don't ever recall him biting me..." She watched the fur move downwards, her body gaining hourglass-like curves thanks to her midsection slimming down in comparison to her larger breasts and widening hips. "Then again, if he had bitten me, wouldn't I be growing more muscular? He's shown me what female werewolves typically look like, and I'm getting leaner and curvier, not bigger and muscular!"

Viktoria continued to ponder on just what was causing her changes, and then, as a bump began forming above her rump, it dawned on her. "Wait... is the brooch doing this?" She glanced at it, the jewel still shining brightly, matching the glow of the northern lights above her. The bump expanded, protruding out past her body, tearing through the back of her trousers as a long, wide, bushy tail, covered in the same snow-white fur as the rest of her body, grew outwards, swaying from side to side, brushing away some of the snow that had settled on the ground.

"The brooch IS doing this... oh, that sneaky little bastard." She couldn't help but smirk, taking a look at her new tail. Her hips widened further, her larger thighs putting additional pressure on the fabric of her trousers, causing them to split apart from just above the knees. She probably would have felt the cold wind blowing past her exposed legs if not for the thick layer of fur that was covering them, providing her with the perfect amount of insulation against icy temperatures. "So you don't want to turn me into a werewolf, but you've got no qualms about turning me into what I'm guessing is a fox?" She thought from just glancing at her broom-like tail.

Her feet strained in her shoes, causing her to wince in discomfort. She tried to keep her balance, but she ended up falling to the ground, her toes tearing through the front of her shoes as her feet elongated, heels shifting and lengthening, her stance shifting from plantigrade to digitigrade. The soles of her feet gained rough black pads, the big toe on each foot shrinking away, leaving each appendage with four larger toes, each lined with curving claws. She kicked the remnants of her shoes off as she got back to her feet, adapting to her new stance.

"OK, that's going to take just a little bit of getting used to..." She balanced herself, taking a look over herself. The fur swept in across her head, her hair growing longer, flowing down past her shoulders whilst her ears poked through her dark locks, growing long and pointed as moved to sit atop her head. A groan left her mouth as her face protruded forwards, nostrils flaring as her nose darkened, sinking into her upper jaw, lips darkening as she gained a slender, pointed muzzle. She could feel her teeth sharpening within her mouth, several new ones growing in the additional spaces in her maw. The changes concluded with her eyes moving towards the sides of her head, turning an icy shade of blue.

Viktoria's brooch, which had been glowing all this time, finally dimmed its lights, yet the lights in the sky above continued to shine. She took a moment to take a look over herself, as if she was waiting for something else to happen. A minute passed, and nothing else did, so it was safe to assume that her changes had finished.

"Well... I can't say I was expecting this tonight!" She mused, taking a look over her now-vulpine body, running a hand through the white fur that covered her form. She was still having a hard time believing that the brooch had done all of this, but at the same time, it was the only thing she could think of that would have caused the transformation. Now she was trying to figure out if Willard knew some form of magic!

"Maybe... maybe I'll pay him a visit and see if I can pry an answer from him. It shouldn't be too hard to get there once I get used to these paws!" Viktoria started to break into a light sprint in the direction of her boyfriend's house, but suddenly stopped, doubling back to her place. "I SHOULD bring something for me and him to drink, though, as well as lock up the house!" She laughed, not wanting her place to be ransacked whilst she was gone, even though she had a feeling that she'd probably be able to track down whoever did it with her improved senses.

"Damn it... I feel kinda bad having to ditch Tori's present on her doorstep like that..." Willard growled to himself, removing the scraps of torn clothing from his body as he sat down on his sofa. "I really should be around her the next time I transform - she knows I'm a werewolf, so what's the harm in letting her see what happens to me when I change? Well, aside from her maybe getting certain ideas, anyway..."

"Yeah... next time, I'll let her bear witness to it, I've got nothing to hide, and if she gets any ideas, I can't really stop her, can I? Though that makes me wonder, will that brooch actually do what the seller said it would do?"

Willard didn't get too much time to think on that as he heard a knocking at his door, distracting him. "Hrm? Who's that at this time of night?" He got up from the sofa, walking over to the front door. Opening it, he couldn't help but stare in surprise at the tall, arctic fox lady that was standing before him, holding what appeared to be a bottle of cherry brandy in her right hand.

"Alright, bub, you've got some explaining to do!" Viktoria placed her hands on her hips.

"Do I know you?" He blinked, looking at the vixen. Nothing about her seemed familiar to him, but then he caught a glance at the brooch around her neck. "Wait... Tori?!"

"Who else were you expecting, another werewolf?" She smirked.

"Tori..." Willard repeated his pet name for her. "Did the brooch do that to you?"

"That's what I want to know... well, that and if you know any magic!"

"Magic? I'm not a magical werewolf!" He started, suddenly remembering his encounter with the seller earlier that day. "Wait... the lady who sold me this did say that it might bring out a person's inner animal, but I just thought she was being cute with me... at the same time, she somehow sensed that I was a werewolf, and you're one of only a small few people who know about my secret!"

"Did you buy it from a shop, or was this some kind of shady back alley deal?" She tilted her head.

"It was a shop, honestly! Willard responded.

"Heh... well I'll take your word for it for now, but it does sound quite wild either way. Still, since this thing's transformed me, I thought I'd spend the evening with you! That's not a problem, is it?"

"Not at all! It'll be nice to have some company over, plus there's not really anything else to hide now since I've kinda inadvertently turned you into a werecreature like myself... at least I assume you're a werecreature."

"Eh, we'll find that part out in the morning. For now, though, why don't I come in - I brought your favourite drink with me!" She brandished the bottle of cherry brandy.

"By all means, come on in~" Willard smirked, closing the door behind her as she stepped into his house.
