A Christmas in Docetri

Nakamo kept his hands in his pockets as he approached the gates of the Academia Draconis. The spikes on top of the walls glimmered with the usual magical lights, though more tuned to red and green due to the season, and the raccoon could feel the power that pumped through the small dome that covered the academy itself. It was as familiar as the little pieces of magical light in his pockets, tingling against his fingers as one of the wooden golems that watched the gates poked its head around the side. He resisted the urge to pull the lights from his pocket, instead pushing a small smile to his muzzle.

"I'm here to see the headmaster," he said, tail twitching in tiny motions behind him. "He's invited me."

" Name?"

"Nakamo."

" Full name."

"When you know it, feel free to tell me. He knows me."

" ...Enter."

The golem stepped to the side, one misshapen arm gesturing toward the academy grounds. Nakamo didn't give any smartass responses; one didn't mess with the golems around magical grounds. Particularly ones that were granted from a deal with the Green. Nobody knew what the fuck those things could do.

Keeping his hands in his pockets, the barefoot raccoon plodded along. Soft grasses and warm stones lined the ground, heated from below with various spells that the staff and the student population alike kept running through the winter, and they led to each lecture hall and student dorm on the campus grounds.

Some students were still leaving for the holidays, making their way past him. They all wore the same sort of over-coat that every student at the Academia Draconis did, luscious and deep-blue and made of a powerfully woven silk that was further reinforced with protective spells by several powerful enchanters. They weren't invincible by any means - Nakamo had been part of the testing for that, for his own reasons - but they were fairly strong, and would keep the students safe on and off campus from most of the mild to moderate threats of Docetri.

Most of them.

He put that out of his mind. He wasn't here as a consultant this time. Draconicon had always made clear what visits were business and which were not, and this was much more 'not.' Pity, considering he could have used the money, but maybe the dragon had something else in mind. The headmaster usually had something spinning upstairs when it came to Christmastime, but who knew what it would be this year.

A small smile graced his muzzle, his golden eyes closing for a moment as he remembered years past. The headmaster of the academy was nothing if not an imaginative sort. Last year, he had created an illusion through Perception and Presence magic of a great serpent winding through the sky, raining gifts that were dropped by other helpers toward the people of the city. The year before that, the black dragon had gone through the top students - and a few other individuals - in the academy, used his magic to read their minds, and rewarded them for doing so well with personal presents in their dorms for when they got back from the holidays. The year before that had been...

Well, that had been more of a bust, and it had been the first year that Nakamo had known the headmaster, for that matter. They'd met over the incident; Draconicon had been running damage control on a mixing of Remembrance magic and a bit of the Green, and Nakamo had been there to pick up the various Experiences that people had dropped. The pair of them had hit it off, and he'd worked as an agent and 'consultant' for the dragon ever since.

He had little doubt that their meeting tonight, on Christmas eve, would involve something with the dragon's Christmas plans. Just how much, of course, would depend on what happened during the meeting.

The headmaster's office was directly opposite the main gate for the academy, and shared the building with the rest of administration. Nakamo got a moment's glance of concern as he stepped inside from the other staff members before they looked at him properly. Relief spilled across their faces as they recognized him, and the vague sense of magic in the air faded.

Just the headmaster's helper, that relief meant. Not some thief sneaking in.

It was something that he'd gotten used to. Raccoons weren't known as some well-to-do species in Docetri, and he'd never seen that many in the lineups of the corporate execs, in the top graduates of other schools, or anywhere that celebrated success. His own attire didn't reflect much on his part, either. A faded gray hoodie, a brown shirt that hid dirt better than it should, and loose pants that were more like sweats than proper formal slacks that everyone else wore tended to sell a look of someone down on their luck, and someone that was a little desperate, too. The fact that he went without footwear didn't help the poor-person look, either.

That said, sometimes that was a good thing. It kept most people from looking too close, and it let him move around without people feeling that attentive. Good options to have when one spent as much time fucking with the higher-ups as he did.

Still stung a bit, though. Wasn't going to lie about that.

Nakamo walked through the offices, right down the hallway between them to the one at the very back. The glass walls were tinted dark, probably infused with some sort of magic at the moment, and the wooden door glowed around the edges with a different color than he expected. It was almost crimson, and Nakamo hesitated as he reached for the door.

Drac, if you're doing what I think you're doing...

No, no. The headmaster was experimental, but he wasn't stupid. If he was doing what the raccoon thought he was doing, then there would be safeguards, spells and wards that would keep it from getting out of control. And the summons would be overseen by someone that knew what they were doing.

...Still...

Fighting his instincts to just barge in like he usually did, Nakamo lifted his hand to the center of the door and knocked. A sudden roar of flames echoed under the door, searing wind licking so close to his toes that he took a step back. Then the heat disappeared, and the light dimmed as well.

"Come in," the dragon's voice called.

"...I swear, one of these days..."

Shaking his head, he pulled the door open. A quick glance showed three layers of white lines, two in salt and one in something else, circling a central rune-mark. Seeing what stood in the center of the rune-mark, Nakamo stepped in quickly and closed the door quietly behind him.

"Holy..."

"Heh...First time someone's thought of me that way in a while," a deep, new voice echoed through the stones and ceiling around him. "Draconicon, are you going to introduce me?"

"I can do that myself, thanks." The raccoon glanced at the headmaster, then back at the source of the voice. "Devil?"

The same rumbling chuckle returned, though this time it certainly centered on the reddened figure standing in the middle of the room. Dressed in fancy black suit, the red-skinned devil stood six feet tall - a few inches taller than himself, and a full foot shorter than the black dragon that he'd come to see - and had silver lining his shoulders, his chest, and in the form of a chain running from his chest pocket down to his belt. There wasn't a hint of discomfort to his bearing, and large, bat-like wings flared out from time to time, almost like he was stretching to stay comfortable.

"Attentive, indeed. I am Klaus, summoned by your...friend, is it?" the devil said, glancing at the dragon.

"I'd like to call myself such, but, heh, I don't assume."

"You are. Mostly." Nakamo narrowed his eyes. "Mind filling me in on what's going on here?"

"Sure."

Draconicon held up a finger, asking the devil's forbearance, and the humanoid creature of Hell nodded in understanding. The black dragon turned from him, long golden coat sweeping out behind him and flapping with his passage. His wings did the same as he walked over, red-brown suit pulled tight and a little stained from obvious effort.

Nakamo leaned in, grabbing the dragon by his lapels. He hissed under his breath.

"Since when do you summon devils solo?"

"Relax. I commissioned four of the best summoners I know to do this. And I got the best lawyer I know to lay out the terms."

"Okay, sure, but why?"

"What was his name?"

"Klaus - oh, my - you're joking. You're - you're actually indulging in a pun?"

"It was too good. Even I have to admit it. Come on, calling a devil named Klaus in to be Santa Claus? How the hell could anyone pass that up?"

"...I hate that I have to agree with you," Nakamo admitted, sighing as he let go. "But still -"

"If I might interject."

Noting that the devil apparently had better hearing than immediately obvious, Nakamo glanced back at the summoning circle. Klaus had adjusted his sleeves, rolling them up. Not particularly muscled, but certainly toned, and his arms were crisscrossed with black scars on the red flesh. They looked almost like faded brands, some of them in the shapes of runes and sigils that he'd never heard of. Likely they were part of the devil magic that Klaus's people traded with their pacts with 'lucky' members of the Docetri population.

He put that out of his mind. He had his own powers, and that was more than sufficient for him. Experience magic might have been more limited than Devil magic, but it was a hell of a lot less complicated.

"Yes?" Nakamo asked, eyebrow raised.

"Allow me to state the terms as I understand them," Klaus said, folding his hands behind his back. "I am summoned for the next twenty-four hours as a helper. I am to bend my power as a greater devil -"

Greater - oh, god, this is going to get so out of control, so fast...

"- to fulfill any and all wishes that I receive. I am not allowed to interpret them as something negative or harmful in the long term to any person, nor am I allowed to create long-lasting trauma. Anything I do must fulfill the happiness of the individual wishing for it, and in a way that inspires genuine happiness, not merely the appearance of it."

"...What are you getting out of this for that?"

"I am allowed to have my fun with certain members of certain corporations after those twenty-four hours are up, and indulge myself with those that summoned me for a rather annoying task twenty-six years ago."

So, revenge. Nakamo arched an eyebrow at the black dragon, and the headmaster sighed.

"It was the best deal that I could come up with."

"Yeah, revenge for the holidays. That's going to go over well."

"Ah, does that mean that your greatest wish is not to fuck with several important people?" Klaus asked.

The raccoon's jaw dropped. Draconicon bit back a snicker, and he whipped his head around to glare at the bigger, more powerful mage.

"Don't start," he said.

"I don't have to. He called you out and then some."

"...Okay, so there's some things I fantasize about. That doesn't mean that I want a devil to -"

"Again. If I may?"

Nakamo gritted his teeth as Klaus interrupted again. He was trying to be good about this, but having a devil around made it very hard to be comfortable about anything.

Hell, having anything that was part of that particular pact - the Pact of the Horned Haloes - made most people uncomfortable. Even those that knew less than him knew that angels, devils, and demons were constantly screwing with each other, either trying to get one over on the other or trying to get more allies for their side of their otherworld conflict. Their deals with mortals, whatever they ended up being, always had something to benefit them written into the contracts. One could never trust them without the contract, however, so one didn't have a choice but to enter into an agreement if one wanted anything.

Having Drac treat it so evenhandedly didn't make it better. If anything, it made it that much worse, because it meant that there was a chance that the devil had done something. Unlikely, considering the dragon's sheer power in Perception and Presence magic, but possible.

"Go on, Klaus," the black dragon said, chuckling. "I know what you're going to say, but go ahead. Tell him."

"Raccoon. Tell me. If you were to hire someone to interpret the wishes of another, who would you pick?"

"..."

"Well?"

"...One of your kind," he admitted.

"Indeed. That is because devils are uniquely suited for such things. We are, after all, tempters at our core. We must know what someone wants, because without that knowledge, we can do nothing. We have too limited a time to spend guessing, so we learned how to find out what others wanted, quickly and accurately.

"And from that knowledge, what would we do?"

"...You have to apply it evenly. Can't be biased, or it'd fuck with what you learned."

"Precisely."

"And to skip the rest of the Socratic stuff - you know I hate this, Drac, you know I hate this - I get how that works. You're a perfect mind-reader, you know how to take those feelings and know exactly how to word it to give someone the thing they want most. Just like you managed to read something from my fantasies. I don't give a shit about whether you can figure things out. I'm more concerned about how you're going to do it."

"Simple. I am bound. I cannot actually commit any action that will cause long-term harm."

"It's the long-term part of that contract that's screwing with me."

"Well, would it help you feel better that I cannot initiate harm to another without there being some buried want for it?"

"..."

"Ahhhh, it does. Hmm. A man that does not care to cause harm save for when someone else wishes it visited upon them. Interesting. A sadist with morals, perhaps?"

"Get out of my head," Nakamo growled.

"As you wish," Klaus said.

He rubbed his forehead. It was...not as bad as he had first thought. The bindings didn't have any immediately dangerous loopholes. The main danger was allowing someone that had bad intentions to meet Klaus in the first place, but just a casual look at the various ringed defenses around the summoning sigil made it clear that Draconicon had already thought of that. There was no way that someone was getting to the devil without getting screened first.

And as for the other parts of the binding agreement, having it managed this way meant that revenge could only be granted if it would really make someone happy...and even so...

Nakamo rubbed his chin, thinking about it. He could feel the dragon's knowing smile behind him, and the inevitable conclusion loomed before him just as he imagined Drac had known it would. The raccoon grumbled under his breath.

"So -"

"You walked me right into this one," he grumbled.

"You were the one that came in with all kinds of bad assumptions."

"Look, you live out there and you see how people screw each other all the time, you learn to expect things to go wrong," Nakamo said, sighing. "I keep seeing people think that they understand, and then something goes wrong, and they're all surprised."

"You say as if you're not making mistakes."

"Yeah, but I make mistakes intentionally."

"...I feel there's a contradiction in terms there," Draconicon said.

"Probably."

"So, are you good with this?"

"...Yeah...I guess I'm good with it. Not entirely happy about it, but good with it. So...you just bring me here to see the idea of a Christmas devil?"

"Actually, I brought you here to get the chance to make a wish."

"...What? Wait, wait, you - wait -"

He whipped his head from dragon to devil and back again. They were both grinning at him, and he realized that any chance he might have had to shield himself had already gone right out the window. Nakamo slapped a hand across his forehead, muttering a few choice curse words under his breath.

"Son of a bitch...son of a fucking bitch..."

"Hey, at least now you know you're getting something this year," Drac said, patting his shoulder. "And you know that you could use some new shoes."

"Fuck off; you go barefoot more than I do, you foot-obsessed wizard-lizard."

"Heheh..."

"And you." He pointed a finger at Klaus. "Whatever you picked up..." He sighed. "Okay, I can't back up any threat or anything else right now. I don't even know what you grabbed out of my brain, but it's going to be stupid. I'm not even sure what I want for the holidays."

"Yes, you are. Or, at least some part of you is."

"Great. Parts of the brain aren't even talking to me now, but they'll talk to you? Lovely. Lovely."

"Calm down." Drac patted his arm. "Look. It's already done. Why won't you go home, get some rest, and see what comes tomorrow morning? That's when Klaus will have everything settled, after all."

"..."

"And you don't have much choice right now, either, do you?"

"No. I guess I don't. Damn it..."

#

Christmas eve passed quickly. Nakamo went to his apartment on the border with one of the Dead Zones - one side shielded, the other side not - and went to bed with the magical lights of Docetri burning in the sky. A few radio announcements penetrated his sleep, one warning about a potential invasion of the Green that was stymied by the Rainbow Guard, the other whispering of various kidnappings and other bits of mischief that the Guard was trying to take care of during the night.

The raccoon slept through it until morning, at which point, he heard something kicking against his wall in the living room. He opened one eye with a grumble, kicking off the blankets and sitting up.

"Better not be another zombie..."

Grabbing a few bits of magic light from the pockets of his hoodie, the raccoon got to his feet. A brief glimpse of himself in the mirror - slightly chubby, barely dressed in a pair of sweat-stained briefs, fur mussed and bedraggled to the nth degree - told him that he wouldn't be intimidating anything away, but as long as he saw them first, that didn't matter. If it was a zombie, that happened; the Dead Zones held many that were brought back by irresponsible Remembrance-magic. But if it was a thief trying to get his shit - well, that would make this a very loud Christmas, indeed.

He hustled down the hallway, rounded the corner to the living room, and stopped in his tracks. There, under a crimson tree that had most definitely not been there the night before, was a leopard in a smart blue suit, tied up with his hands behind his back and a gag in his mouth, and a rune-mark on his forehead.

Feeling the devil-magic burning in the air, Nakamo slowly lowered his hand and the magic in it. Resting the Experience-fragments on a nearby table, he walked around the bound feline to the tree. Spotting an envelope resting in the branches, he fished it out and flicked it open. A piece of paper fell into his hand, and he unfolded it.

_Mr. Nakamo,

It seems that there were several different executives profiting off the exorbitant rent that you and others in this building have to pay. Unfortunately, the CEO was...reserved, but some of his underlings were more than sufficiently masochistic to fulfill your desires for punishment, as well as any other needs that you might be willing to admit to yourself.

The rune-mark on the feline's forehead will compel him to obey you with all subconscious eagerness despite his 'natural' bias against you and yours. There are several others hidden throughout the building. Enjoy your Christmas scavenger hunt._

Sincerely,

Klaus

The letter burned to a crisp as soon as he reached the devil's name. He let it fade into ashes, shaking his head in more than mild astonishment. Of all the things that he had expected for Christmas morning, he had not expected this.

A second look at the leopard confirmed that he was one of the part-owners of the apartment building, and more than that, one that had decided to raise the rent another three hundred just last month. He'd never picked up on the asshole's name, but he remembered the feline's face.

There was no doubt that was exactly who was in front of him right now.

"So, you're the one that I get to have fun with for Christmas," Nakamo said, squatting down. His balls were nearly in the cat's face, and the feline leaned away from his crotch bulge. "Heh, not a fan of the musk, huh?"

"Mmmph..."

"You're gonna be, by the end of this. Or you'll stop lying to yourself."

He could feel the spell around them. While it wasn't his area of expertise, he could tell that just as the feline couldn't disobey an order, he couldn't give one that wouldn't be followed. It was very faint, highly subtle, but he could feel it like a little thread in the back of his head connecting him to the red Christmas tree. It was probably a focus of the devil's power, all things considered.

That said...he could feel a great deal of options still open to him. He smirked, getting to his feet.

He always had a soft spot for putting the high and mighty execs from the city's various corporations under his heel. They were so pretentious, so convinced of their superiority over the other citizens of Docetri by virtue of their position. Every time that he could knock one down, it felt good. The leopard's tight blue suit showed him off well, displaying those broad shoulders and thick muscles, but that was nothing compared to the magic between them.

"So, you're going to be my plaything for Christmas day," Nakamo said, lifting one foot off the ground. "Lick."

"Mmph-mmph?!"

No sooner had Nakamo given the order than the gag disappeared from the leopard's mouth. He opened it wider, clearly intent on shouting - but instead, he stuck out his tongue and leaned forward. His eyes were wide with shock even as the rest of his body followed the command, the devil's rune glowing on the feline's head.

Heh, about what I expected, Nakamo thought, groping his crotch as the feline's raspy tongue dragged along his black-soled foot. Can't say no. Some part of him must like the idea of submitting to some 'trash mammal.'

Was it the best revenge? No, but it was better than nothing. He peeled his underwear down, dragging it past his growing cock and suspending it just under his balls. They hung out as he dragged his foot along the feline's outstretched tongue, using it almost like a doormat. Grinding, pressing, crushing the cat's tongue against his sole, he could feel the spit replacing the sweat that was left over from the heated blanket he'd slept under.

He growled under his breath, fondling his cock more and more, teasing and stroking it as the business exec had no choice but to keep licking his foot. The raccoon dragged it back, the cat's tongue sliding between his toes. The humiliation burning on the leopard's face made him all the harder.

"Heh, feels like you like being under a raccoon's sweaty foot," he said, tilting his ankle to grind his sole against the leopard's cheeks. "And from that bulge down there, you'd like a little more."

"Nnngh...you filthy little - mmph!"

Pinning the leopard's tongue in place, Nakamo shook his head.

"Filthy? Who's the one licking whose foot? Who's getting off on it more? From where I'm standing, that bulge is throbbing harder than my dick is."

Groping himself again, he ground his toe against the pinned tongue - back and forth, back and forth - before pulling his foot back. He stepped out of his underwear completely, dropping them on the leopard's face. Just like he expected, the rune-mark forced the feline to enjoy it even more, his cock throbbing to life even more in his pants. A wet stain began to spread as that horny little rod pumped pre-cum through the executive's fancy pants.

The naked raccoon knelt down, unzipping the other man and pulling his pants down to just behind his ankles. As to be expected from someone of means, the leopard had a pretty good body. Probably molded by Body-mages to some extent, enhanced and improved without all the hard work that people like him had to put into their own. He groped the feline's ass cheeks, spreading them, and smirked as he saw that tight little hole.

"Heh, ever had a 'dirty little' person like me fuck you before?"

"Nnngh...Several...times..."

"Oh, really? Let me guess. Made them do it so you could indulge whatever's going on in the back of your head, without losing control?"

The leopard nodded. Klaus had really done a number on him, clearly.

"Well, today, you're going to be my little Christmas gift," he said, grunting as he lowered himself to lie over the feline. "You're going to be a little cock-sleeve. A little fleshlight, if you will. And if you want to get something out of this...you better show me that you're learning your lesson. Just because you got some fancy suit doesn't mean that you're better than me, or anyone else here."

The shiver that ran right down the leopard's spine was rather delicious. He ground his cock between those muscular cheeks, enjoying the way that they clenched around his shaft. Trying to keep him out? No, there was something in this asshole that wanted him inside. Some sort of masochist, alright, someone that craved the use of the 'dirty' species, even if he couldn't stop looking down on them.

Punishment enough for him, and hot enough to keep him stiff as could be as he pushed in.

The leopard gasped, but didn't pull away. Of course, with that bondage, that would have been difficult, but not impossible. One didn't get to be the executive of a company without having at least a little talent with magic. But this rune-mark kept him in place. As Klaus had promised, all those dirty little urges that the feline had were coming to the surface, and he was bound to obey.

"Don't cum," Nakamo muttered, wrapping his arms around the fitter, stronger man. "I'm going to use you a lot before you earn the right to do that."

As the leopard whimpered, still clenching tight, Nakamo situated his hips. His tip was just inside the other male, now, and it was about to go much deeper. He still didn't entirely trust Klaus and his deal...but for the moment, he was going to take as much pleasure as he could from the asshole under him.

"Merry fucking Christmas..."
