Seeing Her Man About A Dog

#16 of Commissions

This commission is a followup to an older story I did called 'Payback is a Bitch' and follows a man called Justin who's life is really starting to peak after landing a cushy promotion. That night he goes out to celebrate with drinks and some adultery only to wind up collared, leashed, and turning into a dog. Things take a more bizarre turn for Justin when he learns who's behind his canine predicament and who plans to make the most of Justin's shift in power.

"Big dog when it comes to sales again. Congrats are in order, Justin," Greg toasted his fellow executive with champagne in hand.

Sitting in the lounge chair beside Greg was Thomas, another executive at the company who had just finished pouring his own glass from the three thousand dollar champagne bottle. "My thoughts exactly. Top sales, that new corner office on the top floor, two company Mercedes, and private jet access. Sky's not even a limit anymore for you, Justin," he complimented sardonically to their third friend at the table and the man of the hour.

"It really isn't anymore. And I'm barely thirty. Few more years and I'll be running this place," touted a thoroughly self-satisfied Justin, whose arm quaked as he raised his glass.

"Are those nerves I detect in that shaky hand?" a sharp eyed Greg noted as their glasses clinked.

Justin downed his drink then laughed. "Nerves? Me? Hardly. Do you know how many toasts I've done today? How many handshakes? I tell ya, my right hand needs a vacation of its own once this quarter is done. I'm just happy for the excuse to drink excessively at work and be paid for it," smirked Justin.

"It's a good problem to have then. Unless you need to jerk off," joked Greg.

The three friends and long-time co-workers were enjoying the last hour of their Friday in the executive lounge on the fifty-third floor of their company downtown headquarters. The rest of the glass and steel office building was built for workflow, ergonomics, and exploiting core competencies. The executive's lounge, with its rich leather chairs, mahogany everywhere, walk-in humidor, open and fully stock bar, on-call chef, and a wait staff made up of buxom blondes and brunettes, was pure excess. One that most in the company weren't aware of. Which is how the higher ups preferred it. So moments like this for Justin and his two friends could be private affairs among like-minded souls.

"Have you had a chance to tell Nicole the good news yet, by the way?" Greg asked idly once they'd finished the bottle.

"I would think so by this late in the day. I'm sure Nicole will be happy knowing she won't have to move again anytime soon," Thomas presumed with a shrug.

"No, actually, I haven't told my wife the news yet, Thomas. She's not due back from her trip until Saturday so I was going to tell her then in person. Trust me, I think I know my wife of seven years pretty well. When she's on planes and such she doesn't check her messages anyway," Justin dismissed in the same rude but smiling manner as Thomas. Something common in the executive lounge's occupant tone.

"My mistake then," Thomas conceded with his ego undamaged.

"Don't worry about it, Thomas. You'll understand if you ever break out of the bachelor's life and find a woman who will stand you," retorted a calmly reassured Justin.

Repressing a smirk, Thomas took the barb in stride. "Got me there. Guess I'm too just addicted to sleeping around with whatever babe I want any night. I guess I can't commit to that monogamous lifestyle like you can, Justin. Course if there was ever a woman a guy could settle down with, it's Nicole," he complimented.

"I second that notion," Greg agreed immediately. "Way better than my wife, that's for sure. Way, way better."

"Glad I'm making you two jealous at least," Justin laughed. Then spoke more candidly, "But even she isn't all she's cracked up to be. Can be so obstinate and pissy and a real bitch sometimes, forgetting that she doesn't have to work anymore thanks to me and my success. Just complaints and moans mostly. She still works out at least as a looker."

"You sure that mood isn't on account of her having to up and move eight times in the last nine years while you chased that top spot?" Thomas couldn't help but suggest.

"Please. Nicole loves finding new, bigger places to put all the junk she buys. Most she does is take care of a little paperwork," Justin said, waving away the notion. "If anything it's just jealousy. Nicole's career stalled while mine rose. Told her that life as a rich, kept housewife would be a lot more rewarding than whatever career she got from her engineering degree. Ever since she's been cranky about it but still living the same expensive life as before. She just hates admitting I was right," he surmised with confidence.

"That's women for you," nodded Greg who was ogling a passing waitress.

Thomas was more magnanimous. "Clearly you've got Nicole pegged and she knows it. Bravo for understanding women. Or at least one of them."

"I second that notion too. In fact, I think it needs its own toast too. Waitress? Miss? Honey buns? We got some thirsty fellas over here!" Greg called after the waitress he'd been staring at since they sat down.

"Makes me wonder, Justin, what's your secret to a good marriage?" Thomas asked just as the waitress started to saunter over.

"For the man? Couldn't be simpler. Be rich, take control, remind your wife of her place, and always, and this is the most important part, gentlemen," Justin began to boast but paused until the waitress was at their table to flirtatiously continue, "always have a nice piece of ass for five on the side that the wife doesn't know about!"

"That'a boy!" agreed Greg while Thomas simply nodded back.

Rounds of drinks, cigars, and a few lines followed for the gentlemen as they reveled in Justin's success. None more than Justin himself. Everything was swinging his way lately with nothing but clear skies ahead. At twenty-nine, Justin was tall, fit, and generally rather handsome. He kept his brown hair short and styled as well as keeping a clean shaven face and neat appearance. Being concerned as he was with his own image and prestige, Justin was almost always wearing fashionable sports coats, Gucci belts and shoes, and sported a glittered Rolex. An item which mostly served as a conversation starter for Justin to talk about how rich he was. To further that end he treated to drinks and dinner for Greg, Thomas, and few other colleagues as a popular, and quite extraordinarily expensive, streak house. By the time he and the others went their separate ways Justin was feeling terrific about himself and despite it being just after midnight he wasn't ready to pack it in.

Justin's first port of call was the bar and restaurant of the five star downtown hotel. Known for its drinks, rich travelers, and one night stands it was a place Justin frequented often. Even taking his wife on several occasions due to the excellent wine cellar. And if all else failed, high end prostitutes were noticeable in their presence too. One way or another, Justin was determined to get his dick wet.

The way Justin swaggered into the hotel you thought he owned. Justin carried that all the way into the lively bar which was suitably packed for a Friday night. Didn't stop Justin from finding a seat at the bar where he ordered himself an old fashioned. He made no secret of scanning the crowd for women of his type- skinny, buxom, submissive, and preferably blonde- while also putting out his own vibes. Then as he sipped his drink Justin started to rank the women in his head to decide which he'd pursue first. Something he did so naturally that it happened without him needing to try.

'Pickings for tonight are pretty slim so far are knockouts tonight. More than a few decent tails to at least keep a man properly occupied. No blondes does sting,' Justin thought to himself as he polished off his first drink and prepared to order a second. That's when the bartender delivered a rum & coke to Justin on behalf of someone else at the bar. When Justin asked who he was directed towards a young blonde woman squeezed in at the far end of the bar. 'How did I miss her?' Justin reprimanded himself while sporting a dashing smile.

That was all the invitation the man needed to bring himself and his drink over to the new apple of his eye. The closer he got the more of her he could see and the more he liked. She was thin, young, and wearing a revealing black cocktail dress. The way she carried herself with a sly elegance had Justin believing she was likely wild in the sack. Given she paid for his drink she definitely wasn't a hooker. No ring meant no baggage so it was nothing but green lights to the man. He found her waiting with a glass of red wine in hand and didn't hesitate to lay in the charm.

"Wanted to come over and thank you personally for the drink. Not sure exactly what I did to deserve it but would love to hear it," Justin remarked to the woman.

"Oh? You can't guess?" dared the woman in a sultry voice.

"If I had to guess it was because I was the first guy you've seen all evening, that's worth looking at," he replied confidently.

The woman smirked. "What makes you think that?"

"Because it's the same thing I thought about you when I laid eyes on you," Justin deftly answered, moving in closer to the blonde. "Some people are just in another league. Like us. I'm Justin, by the way. Would love to put a name to your gorgeous face."

"I'm sure you would. I'm Amy. And I feel like I was meant to meet you, Justin. I just got this feeling when I saw you. Could be it's beauty recognizing beauty like you said," she flirted kindly.

"Amy. A beautiful name for a beautiful woman. Suppose I can't tempt you with a more, potent drink order for you? Wine is nice with steak but this late you should have a martini I think," insisted Justin. He made to flag down the bartender when Amy's hand pressed against his chest.

"Why tempt me with a drink when you're tempting enough as it is, darling? I can think of a much more tempting offer," Amy retorted, showing a dominant spirit of her own.

Justin couldn't help but be enticed. "I'd very much like to hear that offer of yours."

Amy licked her lips before leaning into Justin's ear. "I have a room at the hotel with a king sized bed, a bottle of champagne on ice, and," she halted as she grabbed the man's hand and guided it up her inner thigh, "I forgot to pack all my underwear."

That was all it took to lure Justin up her seventh floor suite, the pair making out in the elevator the whole way up. Amy flashed her key card and they were inside where their make-out session was all the way to the bed. Justin sat down on the bed intending to bring Amy down with him to kick things up a notch but she resisted him with a sly smile and wink.

"I hope you don't mind that I change a little bit, lover. Into something that I think you'll like very much. Now be a good boy and make me something at the bar with rum in it. Something for yourself too if you want to get a little loose. You'll barely miss me," Amy purred at him while removing her heels.

"You sure? I miss you already, baby," Justin said as he laid on the suave.

"You're too cute." Amy blew him a kiss then disappeared into the bathroom. Locking the door behind her.

Justin popped up to his feet ready for a lovely night with a nice piece of ass that wasn't his drain of a wife. He took off his sports jacket and shoes, placing them carefully in the closet so neither would be damaged. Going over to the bar he glanced around the large suite and didn't see much in terms of luggage aside from a very large trunk or something covered in women's coats. Nothing that worried Justin that he was in store for anything more than a good time that evening. So he set about making Amy and him drinks.

He had time to make two drinks along with a couple shots of bourbon. When Justin heard the bathroom door open he grabbed the drinks and stepped out from the bar just to be taken aback by Amy's seductive black lingerie set complete with stockings and a barely there thong. Took him a moment to even notice she had both hands behind her back too but that was secondary to the curves and steamy way she was staring him down.

"Amy, you look stunning! Normally I don't see someone who dresses better than I do but I am eating you up in that," complimented a clearly tipsy Justin. "I have your drink for you."

Amy glances at the drink. "A martini? Was someone not listening when I ordered?" she asked flirtatiously as the pair walked right up to the others.

"Slipped my mind, actually. Guess you scrambled my brain a little bit with that tongue of yours. Drink a drink though, right, babe? Take it and we'll have a little toast before we rock," offered Justin.

"You've got a lot of bravado and a peerless ego. Just as advertised," Amy revealed, taking a couple steps back from the man.

"What was that, babe? You calling me brave and fearless? Weird but I dig it. Guess I am both things. And a lot more," Justin told the woman as he stalked after her. "Why are your hands behind your back like that? You got something fun back that or something lame like a condom," he joked, laughing loudly after.

"Not quite," Amy replied. "Pick a hand, get a prize. No condom, I promise," invited the wily woman. Who, unlike Justin, was dead sober.

"Oh, I see your game. All right, I'm going for the right. Hope it helps when you get raw dogged tonight," a very horny and very energetic Justin.

Amy restrained her smile then showed him what he had won: a black leather dog collar with a tag that read 'Champ' on it. "Look what I have! I believe it might be your size, Justin. I think you'd look absolutely adorable in this and nothing else. Think you can do that for me, babe?" Amy tempted sweetly.

Downing his drink first and then the martini in an impressive display of a serious drinking problem. After setting down both drinks on the nearby dresser Justin took the collar from her with barely feigned interest. "A dog collar? Really? What was in the other hand? Don't tell me it was a blindfold for you to wear," he told her.

"No, not a blindfold. Just a ring," replied Amy, showing the simple copper ring off to him. Then slipped it onto her own finger followed by strutting herself over to the bar to make herself that drink she wanted. "Now go on, be a good boy and get out of those clothes and into your prize. Then what do you say we start with a little, doggystyle to warm up? Any objections?"

"Objections? None. Suggestions? Some, but, I am really digging you, Amy. So I'll go along with you for now. Since your version of this requires a collar, does that mean there are other enhancements to doing it doggy?" Justin asked her while he worked to strip his clothes off.

"You are a smart one, aren't you? Can't slip anything by you," Amy complimented after a haughty chuckle. "There will be a lot more to it, actually. But first things first. I need my drink while you need to get all those pesky threads off and then your prize around your neck. Then you'll be the prize, lover."

"Damn straight I'm a prize! Have I mentioned that I'm executive vice-president as of today?" a buzzed Justin asked with his button down shirt almost off.

"You did when we were getting on the elevator and then again right before we got to my room," she answered wryly.

"Yeah, you aren't just getting any dog tonight. You're getting the top dog! The alpha of the pack!" cheered the man for himself.

"A real Champ," Amy remarked.

"Hell yeah!" Justin trumpeted.

It didn't take very long for Justin to strip himself bare. He had the body of a man who was once very fit but business life and many business dinners had taken some edge off. His average sized cock was stiff and ready to go but Justin himself was still showing apprehension towards putting the collar on. It felt sort of demeaning and low for a man of his stature. But on the other hand, sex. So he strapped it on around his neck just tight enough so it wouldn't slip down. Once done he turned and saw Amy staring, drink in hand, looking dreadfully unimpressed.

"What's the matter baby? Don't like what you see?" asked Justin brashly.

Amy finished her drink with a smile sauntered back around the bar and right up in front of the man. "Nice but you could be better," Amy replied coyly.

"Oh? What could possibly make me better than I already am? Thought I was your good boy?" he flaunted as he moved to pull her in.

"Not yet," she smirked, stopping him short with a finger. "What I really wish is for the man in the collar standing in front of me to vividly change into a purebred golden retriever," Amy stated clearly followed by a sharp snap of her fingers in his face.

"The hell did you do that f-f-for?" Justin tried to say only to stammer when a dizziness came over him. He only closed his eyes for a moment but saw suddenly a ghostly green vapor emanating from the ring. A similar shade of green shone in Justin's eyes too though he could only feel its effects. "Wh-Wh, what is this? The hell did you just do?"

"I won't lie and say nothing, but I kinda enjoy when they don't know what's coming until it's too late. So I'll let you piece it together while I fix myself another drink. Now be a good boy and get to it," Amy chastised contemptuously. In a matter of sentences her demeanor had massively shifted; going from doting to disdain as the facade fell away.

Justin felt a damp sweat come on while he tried to figure out if Amy was joking or not. "Get to what? Amy, baby, what the hell is going on?" panted the man who was tugging to get the uncomfortable collar off.

"I already told you that's a surprise," curtly reminded him. "Looks like you're feeling a little hot under the collar, Champ. Feeling an itch, too?"

"Itch?" repeated Justin just as a roughness under and around his collar had him scratching. This as he staggered and his skin went beet red from top to bottom. "Something, something is going on. Did you drug me?"

"No drugs. Just some magic I picked up a few years back. Make quite the handsome living from turning handsome fellas like you into much more handsome good boys. I'm sure a man like you wouldn't believe in magic like that but seeing is always believing. Might want to have a seat before you trip and hurt yourself, Champ," a now caustic Amy baited.

"Magic? You, you expect me to believe, believe that shit? Do you know who I am? I'm calling the, the, the front desk!" Justin said with increasing difficulty. All over his body his muscles were feeling weak and sore while his joints and even bones themselves dully ached. In some places there was an altogether bizarre sensation. Like his flesh was alive, crawling, and somehow melting. Around his ears, nose, and around the base of his spine. Making it hard to walk him the meager few feet to the phone neat to the bed on the nightstand. One step away and Justin barely had room enough when he collapsed to his hands and knees." Son of a bitch! Can barely move. If you've killed me, you fucking whore, you'll have pissed off some big- Ah! Ahhhrggg!- big players! You won't get, get away with, with, with..."

Words failed Justin for the first time in years. Teeth clenched, he was bewildered by the bizarre feeling of vertebrae descending from his spine into his tailbone, shockingly forcing it out stretched in new skin which grew with it. So that when Justin looked back he saw four inches of tail sticking out over his flush, sweaty skin. There wasn't much pain but that just made the mental toll more apparent. Made worse by that same unkind body stretching around the edges of Justin's ears and nostrils. Even tugging at the corners of his mouth. Justin had to bring what strength he stood up by bracing against the bed and trying to shout for help.

"Someone! Help me! Help-"

"Quiet!" Amy commanded in a clear, keen voice- silencing Justin to the man's surprise. Before he can think why he obeyed Amy she did it again, "Champ, sit!"

Without hesitation Justin complied, squatting down to sit similarly to a dog on his throbbing pelvis. He was now facing Amy rather than the phone with the reshaping magic growing throughout the rest of his body. His embarrassed panic intensified as Amy strolled back over to him, drinks in hand and ring still glowing. All he really could move freely was his head which just allowed Justin to notice he was still sporting a stiff erection he'd forgotten all about.

"Good boy, Champ! Taking commands gladly is a good test to make sure the magic is working. Clearly it isn't just physical, isn't it, boy? Got a tail now, huh, boy?" she asked him like one would an excited pet.

'How the fuck is this possible? This bitch is insane! This feels right out of a damn nightmare!' Justin thought since he still couldn't speak. 'Fucking cunt, I'll ruin her for whatever she's doing to me! Whatever it is it's twisting me like I'm a fucking pretzel!'

Amy looked him over, lightly sipping her tumbler of rum and coke as she did.. "Lovely. Might as well chalk this up as done. Client will be thrilled to know the wheels are in motion," she remarked as she pulled back from him. Amy then left him there to retrieve her purse. Allowing for the embarrassing moment Justin unwillingly orgasmed to at least happen with the woman's back turned. Only turning once she'd fished her phone out. "She wanted a call for this so you stay nice and quiet while I'm on the phone, Champ," Amy told the changing man. Then she noticed his recent and still ongoing climax. "Couldn't help yourself, boy? Such an animal you are."

The woman's mocking words bruised Justin's ego almost as badly as this all happening in the first place. 'Should have never laid eyes on this crazy bitch. Knew she was bad news! Just had to think with my dick first,' Justin internally lamented. Despite the feeling that his testicles were totally drained Justin's unwanted orgasm rolled on- his manhood seemingly inexhaustible. Disturbingly the melting sensation struck his balls and up to the base of his dick. When Justin managed to look down he could see mounding flesh around the hilt of his cock while further down his balls weren't so small but were sprouting a lot of white-gold fur which had spread from his backside. This was bad enough but signs of it spreading into his penis had Justin in hysterics while still unable to scream it. 'Not my fucking dick you bitch! You're twisting it, fuck! Why does the head look like that? And why is it so red?!'

There was no way for Justin to wrap around having his genitals being sculpted steadily into canine ones. The moment he realized the changes weren't just pointless twists of the knife but were making him into something else. A creature with a cock embarrassingly long and thicker than his old one. A swelling bulge near the base, the pointed look of the head, the furry balls, and the fleshy sheath stitching its way up his belly and shaft make it painfully obvious to Justin that he was, somehow, being turned into a dog.

"I can tell from that look that you are just putting it together. Must be hitting you hard right about now. A lot to take in. All those important friends and overpriced threads aren't stopping you from turning into a gorgeous golden retriever. Try to look at this as a positive. I know you executive types are all about that thinking. Think about the humbling perspective you're about to live out as a good doggy and maybe you'll prove a better pet than man," rebuked Amy. As she spoke she took several pictures and a short video of Justin, sending them to her client as confirmation. Then as Amy waited for a reply she pondered aloud to the man still in the midst of a full body transfiguration, "I find it interesting that in all your previous threatening and big talk you never brought up your wife. Were you still committed to playing single or did she simply never cross your mind?"

Justin didn't know how to take the question, let alone answer it. Especially as he can feel and see that his nose and face are shifting. He could also summon a rumble in his throat for speech but her command still kept him silent. Cramping in his feet and toes as well as a realignment of his midsection meant Justin couldn't even sit still as he seethed with anger.

"You look like you have something to say. Well go on then, speak, Champ. But keep your voice down. Good boys don't wake up other guests," Amy commanded as she stood in front of him, still on her phone.

Finally the uncanny stiffness keeping Justin's words faded. "Rut the rell are ru- My rrrroice!" Justin yelped when he heard the canine growl in his voice. "Ritch! Rou rrrran't... ran't roo... ry... rife..."

"Was that 'my wife' or 'my life' there at the end, Champ? If I had to guess based on what I've seen so far, it's the latter. Suppose Mrs. Miller was right after all. They always are," mused Amy dryly. Giving more attention to her phone than Justin's disfiguring visage in the moments.

Hearing mention of his wife Nicole caused a burning in Justin's just flopped-over dog ears. The implication she could have anything to do with this was almost insulting given his belief she adored him. She may have been distant as of late and complaining about something he never paid attention to but to think she'd let this happen, that she would pay for this to happen, was just impossible to believe. Justin had to say something.

"Rrrruff! Ruff! Rrrruff!" Justin barked. Concentrating harder produced no better results, relegating Justin to no longer able to speak. For it he got an elongating muzzle rowed with sharper, more canine teeth than he ever wanted. An unruly, wet, and too long for his mouth tongue was another addition as was the loss of most of the hair on his head. Either from becoming like the other golden fur sprouting everywhere or simply falling out. None of it concerning Amy who appeared ready to insult Justin again when she instead stepped away.

Bringing the phone to her ear Amy struck a more congenial voice. "Mrs. Miller. Yes. Yes, I can see him," she paused, looking over her shoulder at the seated half-man half-dog creature that was the woman's soon-to-be former husband. "He's quite upset, understandably. Not let him do anything about it but stew on it. Yes, quite obedient. You won't have a problem handling him when I drop him off in the morning. And- details? If you want, we can go over them. Just give me a moment to find some privacy." Amy then hurried to the bathroom, pausing only to command quickly, "Go on, boy. You can run around a little. No escaping though, Champ,

Justin watched Amy disappear into the bathroom and the door shut behind her. He tried to cry out but meager barks was all he could muster as he finally felt himself able to move freely. So went directly to trying to stand and immediately fell down clumsily to all fours with a yelp. His hips and pelvis had shifted more than Justin had thought and were uncomfortably forced under him where they shivered and spasmed from the every advancing transfigurative magic. The very shape and form of his human legs had become distinctly canine. With the most stark the elongation of his feet as well as the plumping canine toes being made from his old ones. They were proving difficult to stand on so he leaned on his still human hands to drag himself from behind bed.

'Damn that bitch! Is she just trying fuck with me with that Nicole bullshit? Just rattle me that little more? As if this isn't all enough? I need to get out of here. The door. Have to hurry before she comes back,' Justin thought while dragging his transforming body along. He found it hard to believe the wife he remembered being sheepish, doting, and at worst, a bit of a nag, had any part of this. Much less the client of this mad woman actually doing this to him. Reaching the door was his only chance now. 'Can't let this happen to me. Please, fucking Christ, don't let shit happen to me.'

The short distance to the door proved a formidable task. Justin spent more effort trying to breath and keep upright than forward progress. His legs and pelvis continued to be issues but then the magic took unwanted hold of his rips, spine, shoulders, and organs which all but debilitated him. A more barreled canine chest meant racking discomfort of ribs and sternum stretching into already sensitive, malleable skin. Inside his organs bulged out and were visible where the skin was pulled the tightest. Gradually they shrunk and migrated with him, causing acidic indigestion and lots of trouble breathing. Then as things progressed into his shoulders it became easier to breathe. Standing however was proving untenable.

Still several feet from the door Justin crumpled to his side, rolled, and lay wallowing on his back with legs and arms held up rigidly in their malformed states. His arms and hands were the most human part of him now with all the rest showing some influence of fur or shape of the dog he was becoming. Overlapping sounds of bones cracking, popping, crunching, and relocating along with the fluctuating state of his innards were interspersed with Justin's own whimpers and cries. Justin tried to sit up or move but could barely do either. Managing only enough effort to see the faded markings of nipples down his hairy chest and stomach. All the way down to where his red canine cock was nearly full sheathed and pointing right back at him.

The bathroom door opened and Amy gave a satisfied smile when she saw Justin's writhing silhouette. He was exactly where Amy figured he'd be, both in progression of changes and region of the floor. "There's my big boy. Looking much more like a champ, Champ," she affirmed with the same unshaken resolve as before.

'You bitch! Stop this! Fix this! Please, don't do this to me! I'm fucking sorry, okay! Whatever you need to hear! Tell me you can understand me! Say this isn't permanent!' Justin pleaded in his mind and through his eyes to the woman standing over him. But she didn't so much as flinch.

"Touched base with your owner. She was excited to hear things are going well. Honestly better than expected. Thought I would have to talk you up a bit more but you took that bait right away. I should mention to your owner you'd make a very good show dog with how easy you are to lead around," Amy commented as she walked around him. "It'll be over soon whether you fight it or not, Champ. You'll tire yourself out though if you resist. Feel free not to listen to me. Do feel free to keep changing, Champ."

'Stop calling me that!' a furious but afraid Justin screamed in his head.

Amy could see in his eyes something she'd seen so many times at this point it was just another check mark in her mental checklist. Double checking the time left she moved in no rush over to the pile of luggage Justin had earlier spotted on the other side of the room. This put her out of his line of sight but all Justin could stare at presently was his doggy manhood.

A longer muzzle and an infectious twitching in his eyes broke Justin's gaze. Forcing his eyes shut left the man trapped with the sounds and sensations of the transformation alone. He hated that itch of fur that tickled every inch of him now. The ones sprouting on his new sheath and around his balls being the ones that stung the most. To Justin it was another emasculation of the man he felt he was. With so much of his self-worth tied to what was between his legs the very essence of who Justin is was undermined. Every second his body was contorted was being drawn out in his mind as his eyeballs stopped twitching and aching.

Cramping stiffness seeping into his outstretched forearms and hands concerned Justin enough to open his eyes again. When his eyes fluttered back open the reds and greens of the world went to blues, yellows, and grays. Something that repeated blinking of his eyes did not fix. Leading to more distressed whining and whimpering. Took him a minute of adjusting for Justin to remember the reason he opened them. He focused as best he could on what were his dwindling hands. Most of the fingers of his right hand had longer, darker nails, more rounded canine nails with coarser pads growing from darkening flesh on the palm. The left hand was further gone though, its fingers had reformed completely, with thumbs mutating into dew claws. With pads and even fur showing up the left hand it looked like an overgrown dog's paw. Leaving one paw to catch up while the other shrank down to size.

'Have to get out! Have to get away! Have to get away from this dog that's on me! I don't want it! I don't want any of it! I'm not a fucking dog!' The shouting going on inside his recently fully metamorphosed skull wasn't the only thing stirred. Flopped over golden retriever ears that reached their proper spot on his head honed out the muffled ringing to a dog's keener hearing. Nose and tongue brought smell and taste to functioning canine states too. The smells of sweat, clean linen, and fear were the most prevalent of the odors but Amy's perfume hung wherever she tread. With his vision also altered Justin was now truly processing things from a dog's point of view. 'I still have my mind. I still know I am. And I won't let her take it!'

The transformation progressed into final stages with Justin still twisting around on his back. There was almost nothing human left of him. Some pieces of skin or some stray body hairs could be found but the rest was completely changed or well on its way. The golden coat of his breed was what had the most work to do still with bringing him down to a brisk seventy pounds. Such shrinking had Justin worried his brain would be crunched down to size with it, losing his wits and humanity completely.

So it was a surprise when the one thing that the transformation didn't take from him was his mind. It was still angry, panicked, vengeful, scared, and confused but it was still Justin's mind doing the thinking. Adjusting to his canine senses appeared the biggest mental hurdle but it was doable. Somehow he'd been allowed or, as he began to assume, fought off being reduced to a simple minded dog. Whatever the cause Justin felt it offered a sliver of hope that he could change himself back. Justin had no idea how but just the idea kept him from going completely mad.

While taking nothing from the man's mind itself, the magic Amy wielded did not leave him unaltered. Subtle instincts befitting a two year old golden retriever replaced those old ones he had. Gifting him instincts that he wasn't yet even aware of. The simple locomotion of four legs, different food preferences, the meaning of smells, and faint tweaks to sexual desire were being cemented the same time Justin vowed to himself to not lose his mind and become some simple minded animal.

Through all of it and into the last few minutes of transformation the collar Amy had slapped on at the start adjusted to keep tight around his throat. It was currently squeezing the spot where to Justin it felt like his speech had died. There hung also the clinking tag that bore a name he rejected as his own. It's metal clinking a bother through the whole affair. It quieted now because of a furry neck but remained there to mark him.

As the magic finished its work and left parts of his body, a sense of just how much energy he'd expended sunk in. Every muscle was drained while his overstressed mind screamed for some peace. The more of him that was freed from the tingling, cramping, and melting the harder it was to keep himself away. Justin willed himself awake for fear of what Amy would do with him if he passed out.

A concern duly tested when Amy reappeared pushing a large black dog crate. Most of it was solid black metal with small windows of steel bars on the front, back and sides. The brand new item had a strip of masking tape on the front door which read 'Champ' in black marker. Amy appeared to have made sure Justin saw this before opening the door. Inside were a few folded towels and nothing more. A cell for a dog if there ever was one.

"Looks like someone tuckered themselves out just like I said. Don't worry, Champ. I've got a nice place for you to recuperate," Amy happily patronized. "It's magical too, in case you were wondering. You'll go in and fall asleep in a hotel room and you'll wake up having been transported to somewhere you can call home, Champ. Doesn't that sound great, boy? You may even recognize it. You'll be safe there with your new owner, Champ." she promised with sinister intent. "Just another thirty seconds and you'll be a full doggy. Isn't that great, Champ?"

'Fuck... you... crazy, good for nothing, psy... psycho bi-bi-bitc...' came Justin's slowing thoughts. A fatigue like he'd never known his whole life was upon him. All that kept him aware it seemed then was the prickling, itchiness under his chin and forehead that was the last few golden follicles. As those left him Justin's exhausted body flopped to its side with eyes barely held open. 'Help... nee, need, need to find... Nicole... help... from trapped... in, in, dog... in dog... in dog...'

Justin succumbed to sleep hearing Amy moving over him and a leash being clipped to his collar. A restless, dreamless slumber awaited him. Followed by an unwelcome awakening.

Coming to it was familiar smells and sounds that got Justin to wake up locked inside the dog crate he'd seen Amy prepare. Looking out the front slats of the door he saw the one place he truly did not expect to find himself: his house. He appeared to be in the room where they kept their washer and dryer which sat between their garage and kitchen. The laundry hamper was there, a boot rack, their jackets, and through the open door to the kitchen smells that unique blend of coffee that he only ever knew wife Nicole to drink.

'Am I dreaming? Am I really home?' Justin wondered as the rest of his stirred and rose. Everything being shaded differently by his canine eyes didn't change his familiarity of his house for the last nine months. His perspective had definitely altered drastically. Justin inspected himself to confirm that he was indeed still a dog, letting out a disappointed sigh. 'This is so fucking surreal. This body is somehow me but it's also still definitely not me. How was she even able to do this to me? Is it this collar? Maybe if I get it off I'll change back? If this is my house, then Nicole should be here to help. She has to be.'

As Justin tried his best to stretch in the confines of the cage he heard the sound of a flushing toilet above him followed by rushing water into a sink. Justin figured it was the master bathroom. The unmistakable sound of his wife's bouncing footsteps followed and led from the bathroom, down the stairs, and by the kitchen she was practically skipping. Hearing her woke the rest of Justin up and got him antsy thinking about the prospect of this nightmare being over.

'I don't want to do this but maybe she doesn't know I'm here,' Justin told himself before doing his best bark. Something that came more easily than he figured, managing three barks befitting a dog. Hearing himself caused Justin to cringe so he continued by whimpering and whining. Something that came easy too.

The barks appeared to do the trick by bringing Nicole to an abrupt stop. He then heard her hurriedly come to the ajar door in what felt like surprise.

'I've never been so anxious in my life just to see my own wife. Will she even know it's me? The love of her life?'

The door swung open as the light was flicked on and there stood a bright eyed Nicole. "Oh my," she said with a sense of shock and a carton of creamer in hand. Wearing only boy shorts and cotton tank-top, the thin, blue eyed, athletic blonde was in her glasses with her hair up in a bun and looked just woken up. Just as Justin remembered her. But as her shock eased into a relaxed smile, Justin felt an unsettling twinge go through him. The similarity between Nicole's grin and Amy's from last night was uncanny. Nicole took a moment to marvel at him before saying, "It is really you in there, isn't it? Thought there was a small chance Amy might have just killed my husband and given me a free dog for what I paid, but those eyes... The way they move and the color, it really is you, Justin. So much to take in. For both of us, ummmm," she paused to squint at the name on the crate door, "Champ! Sorry, I only learned your new name last night when you were dropped off. Have to get out of the habit of thinking of you as a man. Much less Just-" A beeping coffee maker drew Nicole away without another word.

Left in stunned silence, a deflated Justin could only flop to his stomach. Suddenly Justin was remembering Amy's taunting words about his wife's involvement. At that time he couldn't and wouldn't accept it. A belief he'd just been summarily disabused of.

'She knows it's me and she still smiled? She fucking smiled? This is her doing? How could she?! My own wife? What the hell happened to Nicole? Is she possessed or something?' a forlorn Justin was left wondering all alone. His puzzlement spun in circles in his head until Nicole returned sipping her coffee. This time she knelt down on her knees in front of the cage and took a few more sips of her coffee. The brashness of her expression only grew since last. 'Nicole, you have to see through this madness! I'm your husband! You love me!' he thought and whined since he couldn't speak.

"It's funny, I never loved you truly. As a human at least. But now? I think you're the cutest you've ever been, Ju- Champ. Amy does fantastic work. Have to remember to text Jen later but for now, the terms," Nicole happily shared with Justin before pausing for another sip of her coffee. "We are, I guess the best way to put it is, we're taking a break being married for about six months while you take a break from humanity. You'll be staying with me during that time as a dog we'll say I received from your crazy Aunt Linda who passed. As for 'Justin', with the help of Amy and a couple friends, everyone is going to think you just ran off to somewhere in Southeast Asia with a cocktail waitress you met on a bender last night. Let's face it, you don't have much family outside of me or senile old relatives and all your friends at work? I was told by one man at your firm that the new, vacant office would be filled by Tuesday. So you had best settle in, Champ. You're going to learn to be a good boy for me and, if things are good, then perhaps you saw the light and came back, professing your eternal love and to be a better husband. But that's a long way off. Today is day one, Champ. Get ready for a packed schedule!"

Nicole was clearly enjoying her position of power over the husband who used to stifle her every want and dream. To Justin of course it was a betrayal of a woman who had never shown any sign of this level of malice until this moment. Deluding himself into thinking that something had to be wrong with his wife because in his skewed recollection of events he had only ever treated Nicole with love, respect, and gobs of cash. This betrayal had to be something more and Justin wasn't going to let this woman control his life. Cage or no cage.

Justin growled his displeasure, making Nicole feign fear before giggling. "This has to be quite the humbling experience for a man like you. For once you're not the one dictating what we do, where we go, and everything to do with my life. I'm the one with all the control now. That means there will be some new rules around here. The first, which Amy told me to do, is this: I command you, Champ, to never attack or knowingly harm me or any other person. Unless you're biting an intruder I guess but otherwise you'll never do it!" decreed Nicole to the dog. "Safety first, huh? But now you'll be able to work on your anger and other emotional issues. Course while you do I get to focus on me without being dogged, undermined, and ignored by a chauvinistic pig in a suit. That starts with a job interview on Monday. Big weekend to get through first. Mostly for you, Champ. You'll be learning how to be a well behaved good boy. And if you're not, I have ways of correcting that," she warned ominously. She then stood and headed back into the kitchen with a skip in her step.

Left to stew for the next twenty minutes while he heard Nicole make and have breakfast. He still couldn't understand why Nicole did this to him. Finding her explanation of being unloved and ignored preposterous. Justin could concede he wasn't always hanging on his wife's every word and made most of the decisions but that still wasn't near enough justification to turn him into a dog. 'For six months? It's torture and I'm not going to take it. Not going to let Nicole burn down everything I built for her own selfish reasons. If she thinks I've heel and fetch and, and-' Justin paused his internal raging to sniff the air deeply. Then got angrier. Barking as he thought, 'That's my gourmet, organic bacon you bitch! And I can smell that you burned it! How can you eat it like that? Are you doing this just to fuck with my head? Is that it?'

So he barked, whined, snarled, and made himself heard. He heard Nicole set her plate down at the table then walk back into the laundry room, hands on her hips. "I was about to let you out of your cage for some breakfast but if you're going to be loud, Champ, then I'm happy to leave you there until I'm ready for you later. So what is going to be, boy?" she asked with her downcast eyes.

'Open the door, huh? Sure, let's do that,' Justin thought as he quieted down. He saw an opportunity to escape.

"That's better. See? We're communicating better than ever already. You're going to see what a nice reward you get for listening, Champ," Nicole told him as she bent down to open the cage.

'That's it, give me an opening,' Justin said as he prepared to make a break for it.

Sure enough as soon as Nicole unlocked and opened the crate's door Justin bolted forward as fast as his new legs would carry him. He was out of the cage and laundry room in a flash and made for the kitchen. Reaching the kitchen Justin felt he was doing good only to stumble and slide when his paws hit the polished hardwood. As Justin kept slipping and falling a smiled Nicole sauntered out of the laundry room with her phone out recording Justin's ongoing folly. Seeing this makes Justin redouble his efforts and gets his feet under him and goes slow but steady for the carpeted living room area. Then he'd be able to really run. Nicole's footsteps followed him but Justin kept trying. Then as he reached the carpet with his boys and was ready to run again he was stopped dead in his tracks by his wife,

"Champ, sit!" Nicole commanded.

Immediately Justin was compelled to obey; sitting his butt down with the rest of him at attention for inspection. The command was fulfilled Justin got his wits back and he was embarrassed to find himself seated and his tail wagging like he were some simple minded dog. 'How did she do that? Was like I wasn't myself for a few seconds. Nicole can't have that level of control over me, can she?' a frustrated Justin reasoned.

Nicole circled in front of Justin, camera still recording with her all giggles. "Now where do you think you're going, Champ? Doggies aren't allowed in the living room. That's one of the many new rules I was going to get to before you got all eager. I do hope you were just resting your legs, Champ, and not trying to do something silly like escape. Because if you did manage to escape then you would be leaving behind the one thing that can change you back. So keep that in mind as well as this nifty fact: that irremovable collar on you ensures you can't resist any command from my lips. So you know I'm not joking. Champ, beg!"

In an instant Justin was balanced on his hind legs with front paws crossed and his expression pleading. 'Damn it! I don't even have a second to resist. She just says it and I'm humiliated!' worried Justin while his wife took more video and pictures.

"Now lay down and roll over! Speak! Quiet! Stand! Now Come, Champ!" Nicole rattled off the commands which Justin dutifully performed. When came to stand beside her at the end she walked him into the kitchen with a, "Come, boy! Time for your breakfast!"

A disgruntled Justin followed Nicole out of the kitchen like a doting pet- except for his lifeless tail he refused to wag. 'At least I'll get some bacon for all this trouble. Overcooked or not I'm starving,' he thought as he went along. Back in the kitchen Justin plodded around the kitchen table expecting a plate set on the floor. But there waiting for him were two bowls: one with water and the other with some kind of organic dog food. 'You have to be joking, Nicole! You can still cook me my usual breakfast and put it on the floor. Cause I am not eating kibble and slurping water from some-'

"I bet you're absolutely famished. I've got some of the good dog food here and some of the filtered water from the fridge. So it should be just your speed. Now be a good dog and eat your fill, Champ. That's an order," Nicole explained before stressing the final word.

'No! You can't... make me...' Justin meekly refused as his body submitted, bending down over the food bowl. And the next thing Justin knew he was chowing down on the kibble. The taste of it was like a bran cereal made with all the rejected ingredients. But it was filling his belly and after a few minutes he didn't mind the taste as much. Lapping the water up took a few tries with his tongue to get it right. Just took him not overthinking it and letting simple instincts take over. By not trying his tongue fared better, lapping up enough to quench his thirst. He splashed a lot of it unintentionally but Nicole was impressed with how he was taking to it.

Nicole was seated at the table eating her eggs, toast, crispy bacon while idly glancing between her husband and the new dog care guide on her e-reader. It had been written by Amy for her clients and covered all sorts of things which Nicole had been reading through ever since downloading it a week prior. A few minutes of both enjoying their breakfast without any harsh words or barking. "I think this is the most relaxing lunch I've ever had with you, Champ. Normally I'm getting yelled at for under or over cooking your bacon. Or for doing the eggs over-easy like you always like except for today when you want them sunny side up. Instead I get to do my scramble with green peppers, mushroom, and onions. Just the way I like it," gloated Nicole as she ate.

While Nicole lived her best life Justin was fuming. The willed feeling that he needed to fill his starved gut had control of his body so he let it do what it had to while Justin's mind ruminated on his predicament. 'Guess escape isn't going to be easy. Or even useful if I need something Nicole has to change me back. Hmmm, I wonder if I find whatever is I'll be able to change myself back? Maybe, but I don't even know what it could be. The color is what controls me so it must be something else. Maybe, maybe that ring Amy used could be it,' he deduced. Peeking at her hands though she wasn't wearing any rings. Not even their wedding bands. 'The damned whore! Thinks because she's got me like this that we're not married? Is she planning to hook up with dudes while I'm a dog? If she thinks there's any command in that book that'll stop me biting the nuts off any man who would dare to step in my home!'

All of Justin's anger was masked by the happy golden retriever who was enjoying his morning meal. His tail was even wagging. Something Justin was not able to stop. When Nicole finished her breakfast she took the time to make herself another cup of coffee so she could keep reading the guide, leaning against the counter as she did. As Justin finished and was thinking of what to do next Nicole had him sit and wait for her. Which he did without resistance.

'Can I really do this for six whole months? Be just a dog? Take Nicole's command, eat dog food, and sleep in a crate? Or am I going insane first? If I have to wait this out then I will but there has to be a way to end this sooner. This is not a life I want to get used to,' Justin contemplated while he waited, his attention perpetually fixed on his wife. 'If I gotta fake it to avoid punishment and to gain her confidence I guess I can bear some levels of, ugh, humiliation. But soon as I'm back to normal both she and that Amy bitch are going to pay for what they did. Just have to, sigh, last six months of being... this.'

Nicole finished her second coffee and set down her guide looking ready for their next activity. "It's an absolutely gorgeous day out today, Champ. How would you like to go for a walk? On a leash, of course, but I can take you all around the neighborhood. You can meet everyone you've been avoiding since we moved in because you're ever so busy. It will be a nice walk and you are going to be very well behaved. Aren't you, boy?"

Justin barked readily, though he was trying to say, 'Ready as I'll ever be, bitch.'

After changing into spandex workout pants, sports bra, walking shoes, and sunglasses. She then joined Justin where she had commanded him to sit just next to the front door. From a small table where they usually put their car keys Nicole pulled out a retractable red dog leash along with some plastic bags she shoved into her bra. Justin cringed when he saw it and didn't relax until she had it clipped on.

"There we go! Looking so cute with your little collar and tag. I have to take another picture before we go out," Nicole said, already taking the picture on her phone. "Going to make a big scrapbook out of this experience when I'm done so don't mind me documenting big moments like this. Honestly, just get used to a lot of pictures, Champ. I'm sure others will agree that you're a looker too and want some snaps! So let's go, boy. And don't worry," she began as she opened the door and tugged for Justin to follow. "I know you need to go potty. It'll be awkward for me but way worse for you I can imagine. But that's what doggies do so I want you acting the part while we're out here, Champ. If you do, when we get home, you don't have to go back in your crate. But if you misbehave, the crate will be the worst of your troubles. Got it?"

All Justin could do was meekly whine. As much as he wanted to cause havoc, the mention of having to go to the bathroom like a dog as well as interacting with some of the few neighbors he knew petrified him. So he followed without a fuss, his tail down, and walking just as fast as he had to. 'I can get through this. No one but Nicole knows so I'll have my anonymity. But, what if we run into one of the neighbor's dogs? They'll definitely out me, right? Shit! This is awful! Doesn't help that I have to actually really go to the bathroom,' he thought to himself, whimpering while plodding along.

Outside was a host of smells, some new and some enhanced, along with sharper noises, and everything in the lowdown perspective of dog vision. Even with all that it was still the high class, gated suburban area as before. It was Justin who was different now and Nicole wanted to make sure he knew it. It had to be almost ten in the morning and on such a beautiful Saturday many neighbors were out and about. People doing yawn work, people have workers do their lawn work, joggers, kids playing street hockey, and washing their high end cars. Then there would the pets, mostly dogs, that he could see, hear, and most richly, smell. Justin had given presentations in front of thousands, negotiated nine figure deals, and thrived in a cutthroat executive field but it all had not scared him as much as this. Willing himself forward was all he felt he could do.

Nicole led him down their front path as it curved and connected with the driveway. They then walked the rest of the way down the lengthy driveway. "Tail isn't wagging, Champ? You do want to look the part of a good boy for your owner, don't you? I'd prefer not to command you to be happy, Champ. You're going to fake it at least a little. You might even like it if you try," encouraged Nicole with more than a hint of warning.

'You want to make this as humiliating as possible don't you, Nicole? You're just loving this. Making me feel low by obeying your whims without having to magic me. But since I don't want you fucking with my mind more,' Justin thought angrily as he allowed his tail to perk up. It naturally as he moved so at least he wouldn't have to overthink it.

"That's a good boy. How about you say we go on a nice long circle of the neighborhood? Stretch our legs and let as many people as we can see you. Might even meet some doggy friends along the way too. Would you love that, Champ?" Nicole condescended happily. "Amber is usually out working on her garden at least so we have to see her. Jennifer too if she's around. First we have to decide if we're going left or right. Pick your parade route, Champ."

Justin side-eyed his wife but kept his grumbling and curses to himself. The whole development's road system saved a single entrance and exit so left or right meant seeing the same things just in different order. The only consideration that came to mind for Justin was the neighbor's on the right on their chocolate lab who was hardly ever on a leash. Seeing her not out Justin took them right and hoped that was one less unwanted encounter he could avoid.

"Right it is. Sure is an amazing day to be alive! For the first time in a long time in a long time I'm excited about my future. No more ball and chain to keep me down," Nicole mused as they went right and started their journey on the tree- shaded sidewalk. "You're better as a dog and leash, aren't you, boy? You're gonna help me achieve my dreams to help make up for years of making my life a living nightmare," she said with an exacerbated sigh. "Not that you were a killer or physically abusive but living in the shallowness of your shadow had become a low-grade living nightmare. I was being slowly suffocated but now," Nicole paused to take a deep breath, "I can breathe free as I want."

'Try not to choke on it,' Justin grumbled to himself as they went along.

They started their peaceful walk with Justin planning to be as obstinate as possible without drawing Nicole ire. After a few steps and trying to loosen up some, Justin's plan to get through this as quickly and discreetly as possible fell apart when the fullness of his bladder struck him. He tried to hold it but his body's natural inclination was fighting this.

"If you need to go, Champ, feel free to lift your leg on whatever tree or post or mailbox suits you. You are a dog after all," Nicole enjoyed reminding him.

With no real chance to hold out Justin walked around the tree so Nicole couldn't see him before lifting his leg. When finished he went right back on the back like nothing happened. Though even without looking Justin could tell Nicole was loving this. He hoped it was a one and done but Justin lifted his leg for the rest of the walk whenever the opportunity to do so discreetly presented itself. To Nicole it was always obvious what he was doing but she knew it was good he was acting like he should.

Right after Justin marked his first tree he saw what was coming down the sidewalk towards him: a pair of chatting young women in fitness attire. Justin remembered them from the neighborhood Fourth of July BBQ thanks to their curvy, busty bodies. They were both young trophy wives and good eye candy back then. Weirdly Justin was happy to see that they were still as hot to him now. Reassuring the man the instincts that mattered most, like his sexual preferences, were still human.

"Beverly, look at this adorable doggy!" screamed the one woman while both knelt down to pet them.

"Nicole, I didn't know you got a dog! What is this cutie patootie named? Is it a boy or a girl dog?" asked the other woman, Beverly.

"Hi Bev and Lisa. I didn't get a chance to tell you because I only picked him up last night. His name is Champ. Purebred golden retriever," touted Nicole.

"He sure looks like a Champ to me! Reminds me of your neighbor's dog. This guy is a lot fuzzier though! And gold" Lisa giggled.

"Tracy's dog is a lab, I think. They definitely look similar!" agreed Nicole as she watched Justin's tail wagging happily of its own accord. "Champ certainly likes you two."

While the women talked Justin found himself quite happy to be allowed to freely sniff and lick them as he liked. 'Never thought there would be an upside to being a dog. Doesn't make up for the humiliation but I'm never going to say no to a nice pair of tits. Should have married one of these ditzes instead of my bitch of a wife,' a thoroughly enamored Justin thought. Sticking his snout between the legs of the young wives had them giggling more but got his leash tugged back by Nicole.

"Sit and heel, Champ," Nicole commanded gently.

Justin couldn't help but obey. 'You're no fun, Nicole,' he joked to himself.

"What an obedient boy. He's o well behaved and- oh! Oh my gosh, Bev! I think he likes you," Lisa said when she looked down at Justin, covering her mouth in shock only to laugh.

"Ew, he does!" agreed Bev, noticing the same protruding red doggy cock Justin was sporting.

Nicole had to lean around to see but couldn't help but laugh too. Only then was Justin aware of his rather obvious canine erection. 'When did that happen? Fuck, they're all staring at it. They think I'm just a dumb horndog,' whimpered Justin as Nicole's command kept him from hiding his arousal.

"Aww, sorry, ladies. He's an excitable little fella isn't he?" Nicole quipped, making light of the situation

"I'll say! Bet he's big with the ladies," laughed Bev.

"Quite the first impression to make, Champ! Can't wait to pet this good boy more the next time we see him," Lisa agreed while she and Bev moved to continue their walk, petting Justin as they passed.

"He'll be around for the foreseeable future so you'll get lots of opportunities," Nicole told them both.

"Can't wait! You have a lovely rest of your day, Nicole. Give our best to your hubby," Lisa said with a wave.

"Can do!" Nicole promised, waving back and kneeling down to pet Justin on the head. She then leaned into his ear once the women were out of earshot to quickly whisper, "Bev and Lisa send their best, babe. Not sure if you heard or not."

A side-eyed glare was the only thing he could give her, amusing Nicole more.

"Come on, boy. We've got a lot more walking to do. Plus you haven't even gone number two yet," she was pleased to remind Justin as she stood back up. "Okay, Champ. Let's get going," Nicole requested, granting the dog freedom of movement once more.

Continuing their journey they would encounter a few more walkers, some folks from their front yards, and a woman with a pair of smaller, yapping dogs. The dogs, to Justin's relief, were led on a wide circle around them by their older owner who was the only sour face they ran into. Everyone else was happy to pet, scratch, or fawn over the adorable new dog on the block. The young and pretty ones Justin definitely enjoyed but did his best to keep it in check to avoid another embarrassing moment. Didn't stop it happening two more times when they met some particularly busty women. Leading to more mocking from Nicole.

A more awkward moment arose when he needed to relieve his bowels. Which despite himself he wasn't able to hold in any longer. Nor could he hide the fact from Nicole who noticed his waddling hind legs. At this point she led him over to a fenced area intended for dog's in Justin's state. He hadn't known their development even had such a place, but then of course why would he have cared before. There were some bushes around to shield from view from the street and house but there were already two dogs and three women there meaning it was anything but private.

"Go on, Champ. Behave yourself in here and do your business," Nicole told Justin firmly as unclipped the leash and let him into the pen. Shutting and locking the gate behind him. Then she joined the three women of whom Justin actually knew who two were.

One was Amber, Nicole's best friend who lived with her wife Tanya in the development, and Jennifer, another friend and neighbor- who Justin remembered mostly because of her chest and ass. The third woman he'd seen at the parties so she must have lived there and been the owner of the Boston Terrier that was less than friendly. That's because Justin remembered Jennifer had a pair of German Shepherds. Of whom Duchess, the female, was the only one present of the pair. Which was probably for Justin's worse.

While the women chatted Justin tried his best to be casual about squatting, taking a crap, and entertaining a friendly Duchess nose-to-nose.

'Could this be any more awkward. Duchess doesn't seem to recognize I'm not a real dog either,' grimaced Justin as he got on with it. Nicole made sure to make eye contact to ensure he was truly uncomfortable. 'I don't think I can get used to this. Ever,' he sighed to himself.

Once he finished his embarrassing business Justin found himself inclined to return the sniffing attention from Duchess. He may have told himself it was to act the part but canine instinct laced the former man's thinking more than he realized. Justin had met Duchess at one of the couple neighborhood parties that Nicole dragged him to that was at Jennifer's place and he didn't remember her being so fascinating to him then. While he could keep himself from feeling any obvious sexual interest in Duchess sniffing her rear came as second nature to him. When it struck him what he was doing and pulled back the German shepherd took it as an invitation to play; excitedly bouncing about and barking.

'I'm not doing that,' Justin assured himself as he resisted any urge to join in. A stern look from Nicole in the midst of her chat conveyed her reminder to act the part of a dog or face consequences. So with mock interest Justin chased after Duchess and tried to look animated about it. Didn't take very long for him to get into the spirit of it, the two dogs mock biting and chasing the other. This went on for an unclear amount of time to Justin but ended when the women started collecting their dogs to leave.

He came when called and was happy to see Nicole waving the women goodbye and heading back in the direction of their house. Once they were out of earshot of the women Nicole asked, "Did you enjoy yourself, Champ? Was going to go after ten minutes but you looked like you were having so much fun just had to give you and Duchess another half-hour to run some of your energy out."

'Wait, a half-hour? No, I wasn't in there that long. Nicole is trying to mess with my perception of time now too? Making me think I'm losing myself when I'm still the same angry, frustrated, and downright humiliated man I was when this whole travesty started!' a puzzled Justin swore to himself.

"Glad to see you're taking to things without being the stubborn asshole you usually are," she further divulged. "This might be our first time out since getting married where you haven't said or done something to ruin the whole outing. Maybe I should have bought a collar and leash a whole lot sooner, huh?" joked Nicole with a flippancy that got under Justin's skin.

'And maybe I should have gotten a muzzle for you! Or better yet, picked some other bitch to marry!' Justin screamed back at her in his head. While outwardly keeping up his content golden retriever routine.

The rest of the way home involved seeing a few more neighbors who were out and about. All were equally uncomfortable for Justin but he did at least finally meet someone, a doctor and his wife, who asked about Justin by name. He had hoped Nicole might be flustered to answer but she was ready for it, answering that she hadn't seen him recently but knew about the promotion. Also mentioned how she couldn't wait to see him again soon. Justin had to listen to her fake caring about him while the doctor and his wife pet him just like any other dog.

Back home and Nicole kept the leash on once they were inside and kept leading Justin until they were back in the kitchen. There he was made to sit while Nicole went upstairs to put something 'more relaxed' on before she went over 'some rules'. Justin spent the wait mostly planning possible escape routes from his house and cursing his wife in his head. When he finally heard her coming down the stairs he set himself to stare her down. Then he saw her and couldn't think, only stared as the scantily clad figure of his wife emerged.

Black high heels and stockings stretched up her shapely legs to the highest part of her thigh. There, a short, tight yellow skirt was so short you could see the frills at the top of the silk stockings and so thin her black lace thong was easy to see. A yellow halter strap top also did nothing to disguise her lacy bra that didn't need to do much work for Nicole's tits to look amazing. She'd done her makeup, put her hair up elegantly, and appeared like she was about to go somewhere nice. The whole outfit wasn't one Justin remembered ever buying his wife. That is except for the black leather, diamond and ruby studded choker he'd got for their first anniversary.

Nicole strutted up to Trent arrogantly as she could. "I can see you like my new outfit. Going out with Jennifer and Amber in a bit and wanted to wear something to mark the occasion. You never liked me in yellow but you seem rather enamored with it now, Champ. That's because you've got yellow-gold fur now? Or maybe you're beginning to realize just how much you don't know about your wife. All the more reason to take this time as a learning experience, Champ. You'll be happy I did this one day, just you wait," Nicole promised after confiding about her ensemble. "Guess I'm getting ahead of myself, aren't I? Let's get to some of those rules I wanted to get to. More specifically ground rules for your behavior in this house. I'll print them off too and post them near your crate so you don't forget. Because not following the rules is going to mean I have to discipline you, Champ. And I really don't want to do that. You don't want that. You're stuck like this for six months at least so stifling your usual petulant behavior sooner rather than later will do you wonders. Remember that these aren't commands yet but they can become ones," she wickedly threatened.

"When you're in the house you're not to go potty anywhere. Find me if you need to go out and I put you out on an anchored leash I set up in the yard. You'll eat only the food in your bowls or that I tell you to eat. You will only bark when I give you freedom too and will stick to whimpers and whines instead. Ummmm, let's see," Nicole hesitated as she tried to remember more of the rules. "Another thing is when I'm not home I will allow you out in the house but you're not to damage anything in the house or try to get out. If there are guests you'll act friendly and the absolute perfect doggo. At night you'll be sleeping in your crate until I feel like you can be trusted at night. As for during the day, if you're behaving like a loyal dog, you're allowed everywhere but the master bedroom, den, dining, and living rooms since I'd rather not have your fur on the nice carpet. Meals are in the morning and evening with treats for good Champs who've earned it. I think that's about it. Let me think for a moment."

There wasn't a rule Justin heard from Nicole that didn't result in him angrily protesting in his head. A near incoherent rant for each rule with his attention always switching to complaining about a new rule before finishing the initial thought. It all boiled down to being beneath him, humiliating, and Nicole's ego running amok. Her command kept him seated and heeled so all his rage was at least hidden behind the airs of an attentive dog listening to his owner. Justin's tail was wagging, imagining the look on Nicole's face when she was led away by cops while he, human again, flipped her off from the doorway.

How he might get there may have eluded Justin but it started with him getting away from Nicole the first chance he had. Once he didn't have to worry about her commands and threats he could track down Amy or someone else to help him. Amy had mentioned doing this to others so maybe someone out there could assist in some way. That motivation is why he perked up seeing Nicole grab her purse, phone, and car keys like she was about to leave.

"I'll be headed out for a couple hours with Jenn and Amber like I think I mentioned. Some shopping, coffee, maybe get our nails done. So as a test to make sure you understand the rules I'll be leaving you free to roam those allowed areas of the house. You follow those rules and maybe someone will get a treat when I get some," Nicole promised in a kind voice. One that Justin took as patronizing since she was petting his head as she spoke. "Don't follow the rules and it'll be bad, understand? I know you do, Champ. Oh, I almost forgot one thing."

Nicole removed the diamond and ruby choker she had been wearing and tossed it into the kitchen trash with the same care as a banana peel. Concerned whimpers from Justin expressed his anger at the very costly gesture.

The woman let out a breath like a weight was off her shoulders. "That was the last piece of jewelry I owned that you bought for me. Debated getting rid of it to not. It was the only thing you ever bought me that I actually loved. Helped convince me, stupidly, that maybe you did get me. Made it easier to say yes when you asked me to marry you later that day. Shedding that is such closure on the worst period of my life. Shame to lose it but collars really are more your thing now, Champ. They suit you," Nicole told him while tugging at the collar itself. "Behave yourself, hun. I'll see you in a few hours. That's a good boy. You're free to get up and move around again, Champ."

Freed by the command Justin was still withheld by the other to not harm Nicole- no matter how much he wanted to. Feigning affection he could manage and it was enough to see his wife off without her changing her mind about leaving him out. He did run to a front window to watch her drive away. The second she was out of sight Justin went about trying to escape.

For close to twenty minutes he raced around the house trying every door and window he could but all were locked. Neither mouth nor paws were of any real use to him so he was forced into a hastily conceived backup plan to break through the glass door leading to their backyard deck. It was the thinnest glass in the house but would still require him to put all his weight into it. Justin had sense enough to grab a towel from the laundry room to prevent some injury from the broken glass. Towel tossed over himself crudely he jumped into the door five consecutive times with no effect but a crack in the glass and soreness in his bones.

When Justin recovered after a few minutes he rose to try again. That's when he saw Nicole standing on the other side of the door on the deck. He yelped and scurried back, barely recovering as she entered to try and make a run for it.

"Champ, sit and heel right now!" Nicole rebuked.

Justin was powerless to resist the command. So he had to sit there and wait for the punishment he knew was coming.

"I'm afraid you failed your first loyalty test, Champ. I am so disappointed in you. I had a bet going with Jenn that you'd at least wait an hour but you couldn't so much as wait for me to leave, could you? Well, I've some news for you, boy. First I command you to stand up and walk yourself into your crate, Champ. You'll be spending this afternoon in there while I do exactly what I said I was going to do before. Only this time I won't leave an hour early to catch you out. Which means no treat for you and instead I think I'll treat my friends to dinner, a movie, and drinks too. Might just sleep over at one of their places and then just come by tomorrow morning to let you out of your crate. Plenty of time to learn a valuable lesson, Champ," an irked Nicole remarked as she locked the crate door behind Justin.

Once he turned around he tried whimpering for mercy to see Nicole with her phone out and turned to face him. On it he saw a collection of live camera feeds from inside and outside of the house. He whimpered as he watched her bring up a recording of his antics trying to escape while she was gone, saying nothing the whole time. Nicole showed him feeds to every corner of the house and every angle outside. The last camera showing them in the laundry room. "I've got eyes everywhere, Champ. I'm not always watching- but I could be. And all the recordings are saved to the cloud so keep that in mind along with all the rest. Okay, boy? Mommy has to go now. I'll see you... when I see you."

All the pitiful whining Justin could muster didn't stop Nicole leaving for real this time. Any chance of this being another test going down with the setting of the sun. He grew hungry as night came on and had to relieve himself. Being unable to do either while in his crate Justin tried to sleep some. To him he woke up frequently until sometime well past three in the morning when he passed out for good. In fact it was barely past ten and he'd been asleep more than he'd been awake. It would take a few days for him to admit what was actually going on.

True to her word it wasn't until the sun was back up that Nicole rolled in with a small hangover. Nicole didn't remember to tend to Justin until after breakfast and some coffee. He'd get fed and mostly led by command as Nicole wasn't in a taunting mood today and just wanted him to obey. She stuck him outside on the leash she mentioned outside with one end staked in the ground so he could only get twenty in any direction. The leash was also more of a cable that there was no way Justin hoped to gnaw through. He still tried though. Just like with more attempts to escape that all resulted in getting caught, commanded, and caged.

Justin made himself as big a nuisance as he could with what resistance he was allowed. Whining, yelping, growling, and making noises until he was barred from that. Knocking into Nicole to try and upend her work for a day until it didn't. Drooling water everywhere and making a mess of his food got him nowhere but in deeper trouble. He was miserable and pissed so it was the least he could do to disrupt Nicole's life. And while it weighed on her the interview and subsequent job offer that came that Wednesday kept her spirits up. She never wavered in her decision to change him so far as Justin noticed. Kept on taking him for walks, snapped grinning pictures of him, and treated him as a dog with only a few stumbles referring to him as anything but his current form. Even when the cops showed up, she was unflappable.

The police were there Tuesday after she and work called in about Justin's disappearance. He only caught snippets of what was said from inside his crate but it sounded like the cops were more than happy to believe Justin the story about Justin running away with some blonde with a one way ticket to Singapore. Justin couldn't believe how easily they accepted their story without challenging any of it. Any serious investigation would have proved as much he figured but as another Saturday dawned the police visited a second time.

Sitting at Nicole's side loyally as they stood in the open front door, he had to listen to the officers explain that Justin Miller was assumed to have left the country and they'd just have to wait if he showed up again. They told Nicole if he didn't show up for a year she'd be free to divorce me. Then followed that up by the two male officers hitting on her and Nicole flirting back and taking their numbers. She waved them goodbye as Justin quivered on the edge of tears.

A defeated Justin wasn't that eager to resist that morning but Nicole was still annoyed from his week of continued acts of defiance. This spurred her calling her friend Jennifer later that morning who invited her and Champ over for lunch. Justin assumed since Duchess and Rex, Jennifer's other German shepherd, being so well trained was the reason she was going to Jennifer for advice. So on the walk over he was mostly fretting having to deal with two dogs wanting to play with him. Especially after not encountering many other dogs that week except in passing on the sidewalk.

When they were in sight of Jennifer's house Nicole dropped a bomb on Justin while speaking casually about the reason for their outing. "You're going to behave yourself over there, Champ. That's a command, by the way. I don't want to have to do that anymore though. So that's why we're visiting Jennifer. She was the one that originally suggested Amy to me when I was talking to her about our marriage problems. Thought she was crazy at first until she explained it all to me and how it improved things in her life. Do you remember Christopher Moore, Jennifer's ex-husband? Disappeared a little over two years? I think he might have worked at one of those top floor buildings you used to frequent. Seems he encountered Amy as well after an arrangement with Jenn; wound up collared, canine, and is by all accounts now the perfectly affectionate and devoted companion," she said, faintly smirking to see her words register in Justin. Causing his distracted stumbling as they moved up the driveway of Jennifer's house. "If you haven't put it together yet, you'll get a reminder when you see Rex again. Meeting him knowing what he used to be compared to how he is now really made me think that this could work for you- for us, too."

The name did ring a bell in Justin's memory but just as a rising guy who couldn't hack it in the business world so was washed out of it. But the surreal notion that this was something done to others that he knew was hard to wrap his mind around. Taking in the knowledge that Rex, who he'd never seen act like anything other than a dog, was in fact once a man not too unlike himself. It put a new twisted light on his memories of seeing Rex with Duchess (who Justin correctly assumed for a change that she was always a dog) that not to be another former ex) being walked by Jennifer while her new husband pushes the stroller with their newborn alongside. As they turned up the pathway to the front door he could smell the two dogs and hear them barking in wait.

His will to dig his heels in or run away surmounted by earlier commands to behave and follow so he was left with only his frantic thoughts. 'Was Rex really once Christopher like she said or is that to rile me up? Or is she telling the truth? Because if she is then this is just her trying to get tips on how to make me lose my mind. I don't want to believe Jennifer, or Rex, or any of it was true... but if it is,' lingered the notion.

"Best decision I made in my entire life. Wouldn't change a thing. Except maybe having Christopher turned into Rex sooner," Jennifer admitted openly not long after sitting down to chat with Nicole in the kitchen. "He didn't resist for as much as you're talking about with Champ but there were some months when his old personality would shine through or he'd get overly stubborn. By the time the litter was born he was the happy go-lucky good boy you see now. He won't respond to anything but Rex now, it's so adorable," she joyfully confessed.

Overhearing this clearly nearby while Rex was sniffing his butt was Justin. He and Duchess had been fawning over their new canine friend without a hint of humanity in any of Rex's actions. His eyes were even the calmer ones of a brain governed by instincts. Justin's doubts about his wife's claims were now fully replaced by fears of what he may become.

'It really is you, isn't it, Christopher? Is there any recognition there or is it really all dog? Is this going to be me? Is Justin Miller going to just disappear? Will I end up a dumb dog like Christopher too? No, no! I can't! I won't! This sick shit won't claim me too!' a horrified Justin promised himself.

That promise was tested over the next few hours being around Rex and Duchess all the time. Justin would catch himself playing with the other dogs out of more than obligation and have to stop himself. Then a few minutes later it would happen again. These distractions and being put outside with their dogs in their large fenced in yard for an hour meant Justin didn't overhear much more of Nicole and Jennifer's chat. He caught more he was brought in but it was the tail-end of things as Nicole left just as Jennifer's husband Kurt arrived home. Nicole thanked her for the advice and received assurances from Jennifer and her husband that she could do it. The husband coldly added that 'men like that are basically dogs anyway. You're doing the world a favor.' Justin didn't even recall his name.

'He knows too? And he's fine with this? Has the whole world gone mad?' Justin asked himself as he left Jennifer's house shaken to the core.

The three weeks that followed saw Nicole refine her rules down in addition to giving Justin some particular commands to reinforce the behavior she expected from him. There was also an effort to create a routine of things as well as making it all feel normal- to be both of them. Justin did his best to keep up his resistance and a month in was still thinking clearly as the end of that first week. The same couldn't be said for his actions which had strayed further into dog instincts with every day. He slept more, obeyed Nicole without explicit command, caused less havoc, and wouldn't act embarrassed when doing any of it. His shame would usually come after the fact and lead him into quiet contemplation. Which itself led to long naps in comfy, warm places.

Seeing Justin's slow but steady progress pleased Nicole to no end. She did refrain from teasing or rubbing Justin's progress in thanks to advice from Jennifer not to since it made that old life all the more distant. Something that worked on Justin and Nicole by the one month anniversary of his waking up a dog hit. Following her first couple days at her new job, Nicole invited her best friend Amber over Friday night to celebrate with movies, snacks, and wine. Amber herself was more petite than Nicole with long, curly black hair and sparkling blue eyes. She had always been shy around but talkative around Nicole with brains and bottomless empathy.

For much of the night talk was about Nicole's new job, moving on her missing husband, and talking about Champ. Justin had been told to keep nearby but had been invited to sit in the small space between the two and he'd been laying there ever since. Much of the time being stroked, scratched, or petted by one or both women. Being next to the women's thighs brought a comfort to the human male portion of his brain that he was still attracted to the right species. He'd never been wowed by Amber's personality but he'd more than once suggested- and been repeatedly shot down, reminding Justin that Amber was gay each time as well- a three way to his wife given her looks. Things were going well by Justin's estimation. Though he couldn't ignore one thing: Amber had no idea what Nicole had actually done or that her missing husband was resting his head on her lap.

'Better the less people that know the better,' Justin would tell himself. Thinking only of his own shame.

Conversation became more colorful as they started their second movie, 'Legally Blonde', with a good drunk going. Amber mentioned in passing getting a dog for her wife and where she could get one. Nicole's lubricated mind thought this was a good moment to bring up the golden retriever shaped elephant in the room.

"Amber, can I tell you a secret that you have to promise to tell no one for as long as you live?" Nicole asked with a broad smile, her body comfortably slouched. Making Justin's ears perk up.

"Uh oh, is it one of the secrets?" Amber asked in good humor.

"It's a big, big, biggest one. I'm talking, like how I won't tell anyone, much less your wife, about that fling you had with the gardener, Alberto," Nicole answered.

Amber straightened up and looked skeptically at her friend. "Invoking that secret? This has to be serious then," she suggested. "You didn't kill Justin, did you? I agreed he was an asshole and was all for you moving on but if you chopped him up and fed him to your new dog that's a tad too far," joshed Amber knowing it couldn't be that bad.

Delighted, Nicole sat up and shrugged. "No, I didn't kill Justin," she reassured Amber. "But I am part of the reason the 'man' is missing."

"You do? Well, what is it? Tell me your bestie everything. I promise I won't tell a soul," Amber, hand flopped over her heart, vowed to her longest and closest friend.

"Long as you promise, I trust so," nodded Nicole. "So anyway, what I actually did was..."

Over the next hour Nicole explained how she'd paid to have Justin turned into Champ in order to teach him a lesson while also raising herself up. At the start Amber was sure this was a joke but the seriousness of Nicole's voice, the details, the revelations; it all stacked up so that by the end Amber had pushed Champ away and questioned what she thought she knew about her best friend. Another half hour of heated questioning ended with Amber furious and Nicole not seeing the problem.

"It's sick, twisted, and fucked up beyond all reason, Nicole! I can't imagine spending a month as a dog and you mean to make him live through another five?" Amber, now standing, shouted.

"You act like he didn't have it coming! You said as much yourself tonight, last week, and ever since I got married. That I either had to tame Justin or move on from him. So what if I chose both options? That just makes more, more, more... industrious!" claimed Nicole whose tipsy good mood was unfazed by the rising tension. Unlike Justin who had slunk away the first chance he could when conversation turned and was hiding close by under the coffee table.

"I wanted you to divorce him, not turn him into your fucking dog! I didn't think that was something I had to spell out, Nicole! Fuck! I know you're drunk now but that doesn't excuse what you did! And that Jennifer did it too? This is bizarre, wrong, and I'm not going to be quiet about it! You need to get that woman who did this to him over here right now and fix him! And fix that other guy and any other people whose lives she's ruined with this insanity! You do that or I'm calling the police!" Amber threatened after her impassioned pleading left her shaking.

Nicole rolled her eyes and stood with a wobble. "He'll get changed back when it's time. That's five more months and, if he needs it, maybe I'll add another six. Heck, he might even like it. Did you ever think about that?" she replied boldly.

"Do you even hear yourself? What would you be saying right now if he had changed you instead, huh?" challenged Amber.

"I dunno, probably 'woof woof' or 'bark'," retorted Nicole, cracking herself up.

Disgusted, Amber turned to Justin but Nicole stepped in her way. "Get out of my way, Nicole. If you're not going to change him back then I can at least get him out of this unsafe environment."

"Champ isn't-"

"His name is Justin!" Amber furiously corrected.

"His name is Champ. And he is staying here, as he is, for as long as is needed. You're going to mind your business, stay out of my marriage, and you're definitely not going to the authorities," claimed Nicole without flinching.

"You really are crazy if you think I'm keeping quiet about this," scoffed Amber, her mind still set on rescue.

"You won't because they likely wouldn't believe you, even sober. If they did they'd have nothing to find since Champ is a well-trained dog that knows his place. Observe. Champ! come sit and show aunt Amber what we've practiced," commanded Nicole, pointing to the spot on her right.

'Damn it,' Justin thought to himself as his body moved to obey. Within seconds he was seated right where he was told. Worst was the practiced skill which was his growl-barking 'I love you'. Delighting Nicole while Amber cringed.

Amber was momentarily speechless, only thinking to back away from Nicole and Justin feeling revulsion. "You're insane, Nicole! They'll-"

An undaunted Nicole interrupted to continue her rousing dismissal,"They will think you're crazy believing Champ's been anything but a dog forever. Just tormenting a poor woman whose husband just ran off. But the real cherry on top? Aside from calling the cops on your best friend, is that if they believed you and took me and Amy away then there would never be a way to change him back. He would be trapped like that and it wouldn't have been because of you, Amber. So to recap: with me my asshole husband gets rehab, whereas with you he's forever doomed to doggydom and also will never get to see me, the wife he still loves, again," Nicole finished with her hand over her heart. "That's why you're not going to do a damn thing about this except keep your mouth shut. If you don't like it, look the other way."

The words unsettled Amber and made Justin tremble. For Justin it was seeing Amber falling mostly silent afterwards with Nicole's very real threat of extended time as a dog now in his head. With how bad the past month had been the prospect of a year or more like this had him worried for his sanity. Times when he'd find himself acting like a dog without noticing had been increasing slowly but surely. He'd thought often of Christopher since seeing him and here again the memory of how dog-brained the former man was made seeing Amber, a last chance at saving himself, seemingly give way to Nicole.

"Fine, I'll keep your secret. But consider us, our friendship, over. I can't imagine ever being comfortable around you again," Amber told Nicole who had wandered back to the kitchen to open another wine bottle.

"Perfectly acceptable to me! This house is about positive healing energy and you're ruining it with your negative nonsense. Get the fuck out of my house, bitch," a riled up Nicole loudly ordered. Then in a more respectful voice added, "And give your wife Tanya my best. Don't forget to take her the wine she asked for. It's on the table where you left your jacket so you can grab both as you're getting the fuck out of my house."

"Gladly, you psycho," Amber acquiesced as she grabbed her purse and phone. She went to leave but took a knee and started petting Champ with both hands on his head. Then she leaned in close to nuzzle his forehead and as she stood to leave whispered, "I'll do what I can do get you out. I promise, Justin."

Once Amber was gone Nicole put Justin in his cage then headed upstairs to the master bedroom with wine, cheese, and crackers. She'd stay up there listening to audio books while Justin was left with a small chance of escaping this life Nicole had imposed on him. But that came at the cost of knowing his punishment- or rather his rehabilitation as Nicole liked to hand wave it away as- might never end. The chilling understanding the moment he'd cease to be Justin wouldn't even register to him at that stage of things.

'Nicole has truly lost it,' he told himself that night before drifting off to bad dreams. With how the next month went there were times Justin had to wonder if he'd ever woken up since the nightmare continued.

The next couple weeks passed without any change in the routine that Justin hated. Nicole got settled into her job which was sometimes on site and other times remote. Her new coworkers loved her with Nicole's contributions already earning her praise from upper management. Seeing his wife succeed certainly ground on Justin's nerves. But it really bothered him since the happier she was with this life the less she would want things going back to how they were. Whether she worked or not Nicole would go out at nights, often dressed very nicely- in outfits he'd never seen in her no less. Suspicions that it was more than hanging with friends, neighbors, or coworkers when Justin sniffed other men on her. Having lived the secret life of sleeping around behind his spouse's back Justin detected quickly when it was happening to him.

It was another two weeks when Justin would see his doubts verified when late one night Nicole took the man in their house for a change. Justin was in his crate after he was caught the day before digging up a garden in the backyard as a way to piss Nicole off. His continued resistance was getting more sporadic but it still nagged Nicole and had Justin in his crate more often than not. So he was startled awake when he heard the familiar sound of a company Mercedes parking in the driveway. Soon the front door opened and in addition to Nicole's heels he heard a man's dress shoes. Then laughing and joking conversation as Nicole and a man with a familiar voice came into the kitchen.

'Where have I heard that voice before? I know that I know it,' Justin asked himself. His memories were murkier now so it wasn't coming to him quickly.

"Come on, he's over here. You sure you wanna see him?" asked Nicole as she approached the laundry room door.

"Will have to eventually do it eventually. Might as well be now. You've shown me pictures but I've gotta see the real thing," the man reassured her.

"All right. He might be sleeping," Nicole mentioned just the other side of the door.

The door swung open and a very awake Justin saw his wife standing next to Thomas Farmer, his longtime friend, coworker, and rival, with the biggest shit-eating grin ever. Turning Justin's shock to a seething rage and getting his hackles up. Nicole's command barred him from breaking but snarling, growling, and burning a hole through Thomas's heart with his eyes still conveyed his acrimony. The two were well dressed from a night at an exclusive restaurant and rooftop bar Justin could smell coming off them.

"Justin, it's been a while," smirked Thomas. He entered the room and squatted right down in the front of the cage to get a better look. "You weren't kidding, Nicole. You can only really tell when you stare into his eyes for a bit. God, so bizarre and yet so... awesome," he commented as he looked over the snarling dog.

"Yup, that's my husband. Or was. Or is. I don't know for sure anymore. Sometimes he shows signs of being a good boy of his own volition and then, like, a day later he'll regress to shades of the asshole we all know and loathe. But he has gotten better and I think with time it'll smooth out. He's got another four months and it could easily be more," Nicole theorized with a shrug from the doorway. Crossing her arms she decided to share a thought that'd been on her mind. "Leads me to a question I've been meaning to ask you. Can now that you've seen Champ..."

"What? You want to ask if he should stay this way longer?" assumed Thomas as he stood back up.

"No, not that. Don't have to decide that for a few more months. It's actually about the whole situation. About something I haven't been able to talk to anyone about, but thought maybe you could," a sincere and heartfelt Nicole disclosed uncomfortably.

An empathetic Thomas was at Nicole's side with a sympathetic smile. "What is it? You know you can trust me, Nicole. If I didn't tell you no when you reached out to me about helping set Justin up, why would I now? Unlike he was, I'll be here for you always, Nicole," he promised, taking her hands in his.

The red in Nicole's cheek flushed up as tears swelled up in her eyes. "You really are just the best," she professed as the two embraced and kissed. An exceptionally long, deep kiss that felt to Justin like it was drawn out to torment him. When it finished and Nicole wiped away the happy tears she felt comfortable enough to get it off her chest. "Am I a bad person?"

"For what you did? No, I don't think you should-" Thomas stopped when Nicole shook her head. "Oh, it's not about that? Well, regardless, you're not a bad person in my eyes. I figured me giving you his full schedule, whereabouts, and playing him getting on that plane would show I obviously agreed with your decision to drop Justin down a few pegs."

Nicole soured when her husband's name was mentioned. "We only call him Champ," she graciously corrected. "But no, it's not that, Thomas. Am I a bad person for enjoying, no, not enjoying. Am I a bad person for loving the situation? Being free to myself knowing that he's not just not in my way. But he's supportive and just as happy about it as I am. I won't lie, there is a sexual element to knowing he's just a dog that I can bend to my will with a word. And I love, love, love knowing that we'll be upstairs fucking while he's stuck listening... Does all of that make me a bad person?" a blushing, aroused Nicole asked.

Thomas chuckled then stroked Nicole's hair as he hugged her close. "No, you are not a bad person. He had enough bad karma build up over the years that you're nothing more than an agent for whatever cosmic justice exists. You've got a job you love, a loyal dog, your brains, your beauty, your youth, and a boyfriend that's got the top sales position, top floor corner office, and top shelf salary to back you up. You're a great person and if you take some pleasure from seeing your former husband learn some manners I think that's fair and owed to you. Don't feel ashamed about that, Nicole. Took a lot of strength to do what you did. Women have killed their husbands for less and he's at least still alive and capable of having a fulfilling life. Of sorts," he reassured her sincerely.

All smiles, Nicole nodded. "Thank you. I believe you. I think I just needed to hear it. Only regrets I have are not doing this sooner. Then maybe he'd actually be well-behaved by now," she said, sounding relieved.

"And you don't want to just command him to be good?" asked Thomas, not for the first time.

"I don't. Amy said they readjust to their new lives faster when not being commanded to do it with the collar all the time. It's why he spends so much time in the crate," huffed Nicole as the two both looked down at Justin.

"Hmm, well, I have an idea that could help," Thomas revealed with a wicked grin.

"You do? What sort of idea?" a very intrigued Nicole asked then sucked on her lower lip.

"Well..." Thomas leaned in closer to whisper something so softly Justin couldn't hear. Whatever it was it made Nicole do the giggle she does when she's turned on.

"I like the sound of that but do you mean for us or him?" asked Nicole vaguely.

Thomas squeezed her ass as he hugged Nicole tighter to his body. "Both. For us tonight and him whenever I get hold of that friend of my with the show dogs. I'll take care of everything, including the price. Don't try to convince me otherwise. You know how determined I am once I set my sights on something. A couple weeks at most," he tenderly assured while he unzipped the back of her dress. "In the meantime, I say we get upstairs and we take care of ourselves."

"Mmm, yes! I fucking love you, Thomas."

"And I love you, Nicole."

They kissed passionately again with Nicole reluctant to pull away. "I just need to use the bathroom first and I'll be ready to finally have some proper sex in that bed," Nicole said hotly, already walking away.

"I'll be up in a minute then. Wanna get my shoes and jacket off," he told her. They kissed again and Nicole left, but Thomas cannot help but linger. Turning to Justin he gloated, "Must eat you up inside seeing us together. Probably overheard about my little part to play in everything. I got into it mostly to get you out of the way in the company. That went swimmingly, by the way. My figures are better than yours and you're all but forgotten in just two months. But as it turned out the real treasure was your wife. Nicole really is a wonderful woman, Champ. Heh, love that name. Where was I, oh right, Nicole. God damn I love her and that body. You once told me to find a woman to break me out of my bachelor's shell and that's what I did," Justin recalled with sublime pleasure. "She's been talking about fucking me in that bed for days. And I've been looking forward to it. I think she really is over you, Champ."

'You piece of fucking garbage. I swear I'll get you back if it's the last thing I ever do,' Justin growled.

Thomas couldn't have been less scared as he moved to leave. "Some fight in you. That's good. Hope it lasts a few more weeks," he honestly remarked.

For the rest of the night Thomas and Nicole had the loudest sex Justin had ever heard. He'd go on to hear it three times a week at least with Thomas coming and staying over for longer stretches. Seeing them together helped keep Justin angry and mostly resistant to the press of instincts. There was also more shadowy chatter between the two about some woman who would be coming over for Justin. Fueling doubts for Justin but a small glimmer of hope that it was Amy coming to change him back to human. If it meant leaving Amy to Thomas he would as long as he was his human self again that's all that mattered anymore.

It was a Saturday around midday three months into his time as a dog and Justin was on his leash outside in the sun. He was laying in the shade of a tree, panting, and watched as what felt like another day passed. When Thomas arrived in the morning he helped set up a dog pen in the backyard with Nicole. They disappeared for a few hours with Thomas driving them somewhere and only arriving back just after noon.

A faint aroma of something sweet, sultry, and acutely arousing had Justin sniffing the breeze coming off the house which brought the smell. Inside the house he saw Thomas, Nicole, and what appeared to be a dog. Those fears were confirmed when Thomas exited the house with another golden retriever, one so excited it was pulling on the leash to get to the grass. Nicole followed them out into the backyard and then split away towards Justin while Thomas put the dog into the pen. That sweet smell wafted off the other dog allowed Justin to know- without knowing how he knew- they were a female. And somehow, also knew she wanted to be bred.

"Hey, Champ. We have a big surprise for you. Have a new friend that would love to make your acquaintance. From the looks of your tail I bet you've noticed her," Nicole said to her former husband as she unclipped the leash from his collar. As she suspected, Justin was too enamored with staring and sniffing to make a break for it. "I know you struggle sometimes with remembering your place so with Thomas's help we've adopted someone we hope can be a new friend to you. Her name is Bonnie, she's just under two years old, and unlike you was born a good doggy. Amy agreed that this would go a long way to helping you adjust more completely. Surprised I didn't think of it sooner. Seeing me with a new boyfriend will be easier to take when you have a new girlfriend of your own. Don't worry, I won't be jealous. Don't have to hide fucking around with this one," assured Nicole.

Justin was slow to break from his aroused trance but heard everything his wife had said. An initial feeling of revulsion at wanting to have sex with a bitch in heat had Justin looking ahead at her as she got nearer the pen. She stood there eagerly awaiting him and try as he could to find her ugly she was instead one of the sexiest things he'd ever seen. Just the smell of her was enough to have Justin weak in the legs. But knowing that shouldn't be he looked instead to Nicole to remind himself what he was attracted to. However the curves and angles of his wife were doing nothing for his desires for sexual conquest. Instead she was just a person, like Thomas, except in the growing regard he held her as an owner. He tried thinking of other women he'd had in the past, including the hottest, but none were doing it like Bonnie was. Even the memory of Duchess the German shepherd made Justin think he had the right as a strong male to take them both. Without him noticing he'd gained a male dog's sexual preferences.

"Wanna help me lift him into the pen?" Nicole asked Thomas who gladly obliged.

"Up and down you go, Champ. Meet your new girlfriend!" announced Thomas as he set Justin down in the pen.

Bonnie was there to greet Justin by licking and sniffing him all over. He was still processing what was going on and trying to square away mixed desires. 'She smells so nice but I can't have sex with her, but she smells like she wants it... But I need to not lose myself to these, bestial, low, beneath me lusts. I want big fat tits, blond hair, a bubble butt that, that has a nice tasting cunt like Bonnie's,' Justin came to think at the same time his snout was at the bitch's rear. That coaxed his doggy cock out despite his brain trying to resist. 'Maybe if I just indulge a little my head will clear. Nicole can't see it but Bonnie knows I'm still an alpha. That's why she wants my seed. That will show Nicole who is boss.'

Nicole and Thomas watched Justin eagerly mount Bonnie and after a few probing thrusts, penetrated her and was off to the races. In his head Justin viewed this as showing Nicole he was still the strong, virile man he always was.

"Never thought I'd be happy to see him fuck another female but here I am," Nicole mused to Thomas who had his arm around her.

"A lot can change in a few months. He's better this way, you're better with him this way, and really, so is the world," he reaffirmed to her.

She nodded. "I know, hun. Weird it had to go this way but this helps make the decision to keep him like this a lot easier. I'm sure after this he and Bonnie will be inseparable. If there is any of him left it wouldn't want to change back I bet."

"I can all but guarantee it. Now, come upstairs and let me show you how a real man breeds his woman," Thomas snarled at Nicole with a kiss.

"Ooo, you frisky devil! I like the way you think," Nicole purred back at her man.

The pair hurried back to the house, leaving Justin to knot and climax in relative peace. He was drooling by the end with Bonnie whimpering too making him sure he did a good job. 'Damn, I really needed a fuck,'a remorseless Justin told himself.

Trying to dismount caused him and Bonnie to yelp from the knot, still locking them together. So they laid awkwardly down together, panting, looking like two very satisfied lovers. There wasn't a doubt in Justin's head he'd done the right thing. Nicole and Thomas left because they couldn't bear the sight of a real man taking his woman. Some small parts of Justin's human reason had survived to hint that Bonnie wasn't his type. A notion Justin dismissed by reminding himself he's always been attracted to blondes.

Six months had passed with winter's chill creeping in Nicole was having friend Tanya over for lunch. It was a special occasion as it was the first time Tanya was bringing her newly acquired pooch over. The Standard black hair poodle was seated on the floor next to Tanya's feet like a statue. This as her owner chatted on the couch in front of a roaring fire with a rosy-cheeked Nicole.

"So how long can I expect she'll keep having these human moments? It's been almost three weeks and it feels like if I don't command her to do something she'll do the opposite. She was never this way before," Tanya asked Nicole politely as she sipped her hot cocoa.

"The change is a big adjustment for you and her. It's going to take some time but if you want my advice, I suggest what did wonders for my troublesome spouse," Nicole said, motioning towards the two dogs, Champ and Bonnie, curled in front of the fire. "Get her a boyfriend."

Tanya couldn't help but blush. "Oh, I see what you mean. That did the trick, huh?"

"Mhmm. One weekend of banging her every chance he got and by Monday he was a puppy. Aside from one or two moments, Champ has been a great dog since then. Can't imagine changing him back," admitted Nicole. "You'll get there with Amber too. A playmate will definitely speed things up," she winked.

"Well then, it sounds like I have some homework. Thank you, Nicole. So much, really. I love what you've done with your décor too," Tanya complimented. Paving the way for more idle chit-chat. Occasionally Tanya would reach down to pet the poodle that had been her wife up until Nicole and her neighbor Jennifer convinced her that both needed a change in their lives.

Amber had been trying to find a way to rescue Justin and thought Tanya helping her find Amy was out of love. Instead she'd wound up transformed into nothing more than a poodle pet for her former wife. Unable to move or resist due to a command and the collar on her neck, Amber just stared at the napping pair of retrievers in front of the fire. More so the male who she knew was once Justin. His lack of a command was worrying as was how he never acted like there was a human within. Sight of him served as a stark warning of what awaited her.

'He doesn't even act like a person anymore. Is Justin even in there? Is that what's going to happen to me? How could Tanya do this to me?!' a despondent Amber brooded to herself.

As it turned out Justin had maintained a level of human intelligence. It lacked any control over his actions, preferring to explain away anything he did as a dog. So he had been listening to the women talk and was aware the poodle he saw and smelled had once been his lone hope for escape from his life. What that meant for him now took time to piece together but realized she, like him, was made into a dog against their will.

'She looks as scared as I think I was once. Poor thing,' he thought to himself. 'Guess that means both of us will be waiting to change back. Maybe it will be easier waiting the last couple months out with someone who understands the struggle. Then maybe we can run away from our crazy wives together.'

Justin's understanding of the passage of time left him unaware his six month mark had come and gone. His notions of still being resistant to canine instinct and obedience to Nicole had him thinking one way while his body played the part of a devoted dog. Not even Bonnie's pregnancy and the recent selling of the two puppies she had were able to shake Justin from his sense of himself. So he managed to find pity for Amber, as well as a sense that his only hope of escape was Nicole releasing him. Being a good dog made sense if he wanted to walk on two legs again.

When Tanya left Amber was more somber than when she entered with an uncertain future ahead. For Nicole the future held more promise and with that in mind and a hand on her belly she returned to the den and slowly sat down on the floor next to Justin and Bonnie. The latter of whom was sleeping while Justin lifted his head in her hand for pets.

"Such a good boy," Nicole told the dog as she pet him.

'Yes. A good boy. Good boys get to change back into men someday I hope,' Justin calmly reasoned.

"A very good boy. Whom I love. Maybe not in the same way I love my fiance Thomas, but it's a deep, abiding love too. I thought this experience might leave me bitter towards you but I think I love you more than ever, Champ. You and Bonnie will be great dogs for a growing family," Nicole smiled with a hang on her belly.

'Course you love me but what's this about growing a family? What is she getting at?' Justin puzzled until he saw the baby bump under Nicole's shirt. 'Oh... oh! She's pregnant? But how is that possible? I haven't had sex with her in, in, in 4 months at least! It can't, she can't... she is. Oh god, she wants me to be the family dog for her new family? How could she? How dare she!'

Justin's outrage was contained to the back of his mind as the dog he was licking at Nicole's belly in what she took as a sign of acceptance. "So glad that you could see reason eventually, Champ. When me and Thomas get married at the end of the year you and Bonnie will make such cute ring bearers!"

'You can't make me do anything! You hear me! I'll resist! I'll fight it! My name is Champ and I'm an alpha!' the man professed in defiance.

"Does anyone wanna go for walkies?" Nicole asked her dogs. Bonnie woke up and got to her feet right beside an equally excited Justin. "That's what I thought! Come on, let me grab my jacket and we can go."

'Outside! Great! I love outside! The perfect place to resist Nicole's will!' thought the former man as he followed his owner like the well-trained dog he'd become.

Even as she led them outside without leashes Justin stayed close to Nicole, his master, and Bonnie, his mate. Looking every part the loyal companion that Nicole always wanted him to be.
