So... yeah, managed to get a Halloween story done in time! Despite the craziness that this month was, for personal reasons. The start of November should be rocky too (also for personal reasons), but hopefully I can get into a better upload rhythm than 'once a month'. Maybe.

Gentle and Cruel

by Bad Manners

===

Jack smiled to himself while sitting on the couch. His paws ran over the short fur on his black belly, focusing on the bulge jutting out from the midriff. They were slow as to not stir the small lynx inside. The badger had swallowed the wild cat a few hours ago, and both of them knew that he would be perfectly safe within. It was the first time that Jack had swallowed Abdis - but not the first that either of them had experienced vore.

As the badger continued to comfort his belly occupant, unsure if Abdis was asleep or not, he glanced at the calendar. October 30th... Today, they had been together for 3 months. Of course, they could have tried vore sooner, but Jack had insisted that their anniversary was the perfect occasion. And the badger had made arrangements for it. Preparing a hearty breakfast to serve to his wonderful little lynx in bed, and teasing his boyfriend about what they would do later as he fasted... Going for a lovely bike ride at the park - before cleaning themselves together in an intimate, shared shower... Watching a corny gay rom-com as Jack cuddled with him on the couch - making sure that the lynx's ear was planted on his rumbling, empty stomach...

Abdis couldn't contain himself before the credits even started rolling. And neither could Jack.

The mustelid swallowed the lynx as gently as he could, opposite to how Abdis basically burrowed himself into his maw in haste. There wasn't even time for them to realize that they should probably have taken their clothes off, although both of them were at least shirtless for it. And Jack gulped his boyfriend just as eagerly as Abdis crawled down his throat, sweatpants and all. All the while, managing his rather sensitive gag reflex, so it wouldn't be a problem. In no time, the lynx squeezed through the badger's neck and was tucked away in his tummy, safe and loved, subject to the embrace from both the walls of the stomach and the paws outside.

Nothing in the world would've convinced Jack to leave his couch. He simply lied down on the cushions, hugging his boyfriend more deeply than ever before. Feeling the stretched skin under his fur, and flirting with his stomach in short, honeyed declarations. Abdis, on the other hand, kept repeating the same few words that Jack never got tired of:

"This is perfect..."

The movie had ended about an hour ago, and it had been a while since Abdis last replied to him. Although he continued to twitch in the tight caress of the gastric walls, Jack could tell that he wasn't awake - or, at most, half-asleep. The badger eventually sat up, feeling the slight shift of his feline prey that came with the change of gravity. His paws were ever still glued to his belly as if he didn't want to lose what it held by any cost, moving only to gently rub the lynx-shaped bulge.

Jack didn't really want to wake up his boyfriend, who was no doubt having the most perfect moment of the most perfect day. But he looked at the calendar, and the date was October 30th. Midnight was approaching, fast. Too fast...

"Abdis?" Jack gently jostled his stomach. "Wakey wakey..."

A groggy response from his boyfriend came within, while limbs stretched against the limited space. "Mmf... Is it morning already?"

"Heh heh... Not yet." He couldn't help but touch his black nose to his belly, and give the bulge a smooch. "Maybe next time I can let you stay the night inside. But I think I should let you out now, so you can get cleaned up."

"Mm... You know I can't resist it when you ask this nicely, Jack~. Besides, I feel like kissing something other than your perfect, wonderful, slimy stomach."

The badger hugged his stomach. Not too tight to smother Abdis, just enough to show how much he cherished him. Still holding his belly close to himself, Jack stood up, wobbling a little bit with the extra weight before heading over to his bathroom.

"I'm sure you do~." Jack replied, enjoying the sag of his furry midriff when he slowly released the bulge. "And there's something important that I'd like to say when you're out."

"Oh...?"

Jack was glad that his boyfriend couldn't see his smile wavering just then. The badger walked into the bathroom, pushing aside the shower curtain as he knelt in front of the bathtub. He made sure that Abdis's bulge was propped on the edge of the ceramic bowl; which, from experience, would make this next part easier.

"Alright, Abdis, I'm ready to regurgitate you. Do you know what you have to do...?"

"Yep!" Abdis said, making sure that he was as limp as he could with his arms next to his torso. "And don't worry about being too rough, Jack."

But Jack would be anything but rough. He leaned forward, relaxing his throat as he opened his maw in a big yawn. Black flesh, white teeth, revealed to an unremarkable tiled wall. The bottom of his stomach was squeezed by the bathtub as it was deliberately pushed down, moving the bulge of the lynx further up his body. Being half his size, Abdis's head squeezed back into his esophagus without trouble, and his controlled heaves brought him up gently. Jack could feel the shifting of the lynx unfurling, ejected from the stomach and unfolding into a flat position.

Progress was slow but constant, the mass being shifted further and further up Jack's body with all the tenderness in the world. It wasn't exactly pleasant for the badger, in truth, but it wouldn't be even if he rushed things along. The only thing that the mustelid wanted was for Abdis to feel cozy, even as he left his body. It was another perfect Manner of displaying his love.

As most of Abdis had left his stomach - the lynx now stretching his chest and neck instead of sagging his belly -, he gaped his throat when he felt the nose poke the opening from the opposite end. The slimy face surfaced with a gasp for fresh air, but mostly getting badger breath into his lungs. Jack's maw was wide open, providing enough space between the two rows of teeth and dark-hued tongue to give a full view of the white ceramic in the bathtub. The acrid taste of gastric slime on his boyfriend didn't faze Jack, who simply continued to push him out.

His lower jaw was lined with the slope of the tub, giving Abdis enough space to slip inside. The writhing mass now escaped with its own weight rather than heaves, dragged down to lie along the newly formed slime pool. The wide parts of the lynx were as easy to push out as they were to swallow, and without a single gag, Jack calmly spat out the ankles and tail to join the rest of Abdis. His knees scooted forward, and he brought his striped black-and-white face close to the spotted wild cat.

"How was that?" The badger asked, with a satisfied grin. He knew exactly what answer he would get.

"Wow... That was the gentlest time I've ever been puked out! It was perfect, Jack~."

His vomit-smelling boyfriend leaned forward for a smooch, and Jack returned the gesture - not minding the taste of his lips, or when the arms covered in gastric slime hugged his head. The badger broke the embrace and faced the faucet, turning it on and letting the warm liquid slowly fill towards the lynx.

"Make sure you're squeaky clean before you head out," Jack instructed. "Give me that green bottle over there, it's got the post-vore soap."

Abdis wiped some slime from his face before reaching for it, but he couldn't hide the slight disappointment in his expression. "Head out...? I thought I would stay the night with you."

"Sorry, not today. There is...someone coming over at midnight. He's a long-time acquaintance, and he's not good with other people."

"A friend? Can't you introduce your boyfriend to him?"

Jack took the soap that Abdis had grabbed and squirted it onto his grayish paw. He was pensive, thinking of how to respond as he started to scrub his lynx boyfriend with his gentle claws. "...Sorry, maybe another time. I'm still not ready."

Abdis sighed and closed his eyes, feeling the ample hand covering him in foamy suds. "That's okay, Jack. Then, you can introduce me whenever you are! I don't wanna spoil your perfect night~."

"Heh, -our- perfect night~."

The badger continued to handle Abdis, washing the slime off of his reddish fur and sweatpants. To Jack, this sweet moment of aftercare was just as enjoyable as everything preceding it, if not more. And the lynx was clearly loving the attention from his mustelid boyfriend that was twice his height.

Suddenly, Abdis snapped back, turning again to Jack while sitting on the bathtub. "Oh...! What was it that you wanted to say, earlier? You said it was important."

The badger was surprised, having completely forgotten about it. "O-Oh. Uhh, it's not that important, really. Maybe another day." Jack looked at his watch apprehensively. "Plus, I'm gonna- I mean, my f-friend will be here soon. So get yourself ready to leave before midnight, and I'll see you tomorrow morning."

The lynx nodded, watching as the badger stood up and moved to the door.

"I hope you have a perfect end of your day, my love~."

"You too, Jack."

He closed the door, muffling the sounds of the bath to the hallway he was standing in. Jack frowned once he was out of sight, dragging his feet downstairs towards the basement in preparation for his 'friend's visit', so to speak. He hated having to send Abdis away for the night, especially on this special occasion for the couple. But Jack would hate it more if he'd let him stay to endure what midnight had in store for him.

Jack should've told him sooner. Oh well. Tomorrow morning, maybe he would have the time to explain himself, and apologize profusely for acting like this...

***

Oh my god oh my god oh my god. Jack almost proposed to him...!

Well, maybe... But it was the only conclusion that Abdis arrived at.

The lynx flicked the diverter on the faucet, and the water started to pour out from the shower-head instead, way out of reach for Abdis. This made it easier to wash off the gunk from the fun he'd had with his boyfriend.

What else could Jack have intended to tell him, then failed to do so at the last minute, out of embarrassment...? Asking his hand in marriage was the only thing that Abdis could think of!

But wasn't it too soon? After all, they'd only been dating for 3 months. But they were 3 wonderful months, and the badger had been nothing short of the perfect man for him. As crazy as it sounded, if Jack had pulled out a ring from his pocket, Abdis was ready to yell 'yes' right then and there. While the badger's enzymes were still fresh on his fur.

However, the matter of Jack's 'friend' seemed to take precedence for whatever reason. Far from Abdis to be overly jealous, but something about the badger's tone had unsettled him. As if there was something to be afraid of... He was more worried about his boyfriend's safety than his own, but he also wanted to trust Jack's words. He had just trusted him with his own life, after all, cheesy though it sounded in his own head.

Having sufficiently cleaned himself, Abdis turned off the shower and stepped out onto the floor mat. The spotted fur on the grayish-red lynx was completely drenched, and he used the badger's oversized drier on himself. Apparently, he had to leave before midnight. Just like in that fairy tale with the crystal shoe! And, much like in fiction, leaving his prince charming behind. Abdis chuckled at the thought. He'd have to remember to tell Jack that joke later. Maybe workshop it a little before sending, though.

Although he had no way to keep track of the time, with his phone probably lost somewhere inside of the couch. The lynx assumed that he had enough time to dry himself before heading out into the wide world of their small town. His sweatpants - which he was still wearing, despite everything - would be wet anyway, so he should at least be thorough and dry the rest of his body, to make sure he wouldn't catch a cold or anything. He imagined what would happen if he got sick... Jack would be beside himself with worry! Knowing him, the badger would likely spoon-feed him soup all day long.

Besides, if he left just a tiny bit after midnight, it wouldn't be a big deal, right? It's not like his car would magically turn into a pumpkin or something when the hands of the clock were aligned.

Abdis walked out of the shower and into Jack's bedroom, finding the TV still frozen on the DVD player's menu. His paw dug into the space between the large cushions, trying to fish his phone from where it should have been dropped. It definitely wasn't in the pocket of his sweatpants; the lynx distinctly remembered checking as much before he dove into the badger's inviting maw. But just because it wasn't lost inside of Jack's guts, it didn't mean that it would be easy to find. All he fished out of the couch was a remote controller and nothing else.

He looked around the room, but Abdis hadn't really been anywhere else all day in Jack's house, except when they came back from the park. He checked his phone when they'd passed by the door, but-

...Oh, of course! The lynx remembered. He had left it by the hall, no doubt about it.

He stormed down the stairs and moved to the door, and there it was, on the cupboard! What a relief... Abdis checked the screen; still some battery left, and the clock said '11:59 pm'. Heh, just in time. He looked around, but there was no sign of Jack. Hmm, no problem, the lynx thought. Maybe he could simply text him when he got home, and then, meet him tomorrow.

As his paw went up to the doorknob, the sound of grating metal startled him. Even more startling was when he heard a loud 'thump!', watching as metal plates sealed the gap between Abdis and the front door! He jumped back in the fright, and heard similar thumps spaced out across the house, coming from where the windows and backyard door should be. It was like in those silly sci-fi shows where the metal doors would close off every exit in a spaceship...but this was very real, and quite unsettling!

A tiny beep called the wild cat's attention. The source seemed to be an intercom device, right next to the hidden front door. "SCHEDULED EMERGENCY LOCK ACTIVATED", a robotic voice spoke through the speaker, while the screen flashed '12:00 am'. "VOICE RECOGNITION REQUIRED TO UNLOCK".

"V-Voice recognition...?" Abdis thought to himself out loud, and the intercom made a retro buzzer noise in turn. Figures that it would only respond to Jack's voice, but...why?!

And how...? And what...? Why would Jack even have such an absurd security system in his home?!

Abdis jumped again when he heard a distant noise from the other way. The sound of chains rattling against each other, or something similar. It was hard to say for sure.

"J-Jack...?" The lynx called out. He ignored the buzzer from the security system beside him, focusing on what sounded like a distant grunt. The low pitch gave it the likeness of a large predator's growl. And that spine-chilling noise came from below... The basement? His fur raised, his entire body already knowing that the feline was in danger. But Abdis didn't know if the large badger was safe with the threat looming in the house, either. He had to make sure.

Carefully, he made his way downstairs, and the rattling and grunting were getting closer. There was a wooden door at the end muffling the noises, but the terrible aura behind it was palpable. To Abdis, it sounded like a horrifying beast was inside of the room. Was this the 'friend' that Jack had mentioned...? How did they get in?

As the lynx got right up to the door, all of the noises stopped. The silence that followed was bloodcurdling. But Abdis mustered what little heart he still had, and called out again.

"...Jack-"

A guttural roar froze Abdis in his track. His blood turned to ice. The sounds of chains scraping themselves only got more grating - and then, metal twisting and bending before clunking onto the ground. Whatever was inside got free from its shackles, and started banging against the door. The monster was strong and massive, its full weight being thrown against the door nearly causing the wood to bend and frame to crack. The wide-eyed lynx could only step backwards and upstairs, watching in horror as the thumping continued.

Only until the lock gave in. The battered door, barely holding onto its hinges, creaked as it slowly opened towards the basement. A long claw started to peer through the dark crack. Without a second thought, Abdis turned around and sprinted, panicking.

Oh my god oh my god oh my god. There was a bonafide monster in the house, and the lynx and his boyfriend were trapped inside with it!

He rushed to the front door again, gripping at the security lock device at the wall. He slipped and would have fallen, if he wasn't holding onto it for dear life.

"H-Help!" Abdis yelled into it as hard as he could, with his heart stuck in his throat.

He simply got another buzzer rejecting the command. Of course, it'd said something about 'voice recognition' moments ago. Which meant that he needed to find Jack - but this time, solely out of self-preservation. The lynx's instincts snuffed any urge of selflessness.

He could hear chains clinking up the steps to the basement, closer and closer. Its steps were heavy and gut-wrenching, as were its groans. The monster was taking its sweet time to stalk its prey, no doubt. But Abdis wouldn't stop and wait for it, and he rushed back upstairs, stopping when something wiggled out of the pocket of his sweatpants and dropped to the stairs. His phone...! The lynx quickly snatched it and dashed to Jack's room, shutting the door behind him.

After locking it, Abdis tried to barricade the passage by pushing the large sofa in the middle of the room. But as much as he tried to push, it just wouldn't budge. Having been made for the badger, it was too big and heavy for him! Regular sweat joined the cold one on his forehead, but any expended effort was in vain. The chains outside were approaching Jack's room - and if the basement door was any indication, the lock wouldn't hold for long.

He had to find a place to hide, quickly...!

***

The beast wrapped its claws around the chain fragments still hanging from its neck, pulling on them until the metal broke off like a bent chopstick. The last of the shackles fell down the stairs with heavy clangs, also releasing the tight muzzle it was wearing. With its jaws free, the monster growled, bearing its fangs at the door to Jack's bedroom. The one to the basement was reinforced on the inside - unbeknownst to Abdis -, and this one was clearly not.

A single ram of its whole body didn't simply knock it open, but knocked it down. The large piece of wood - broken off where the hinges should be - was sent flying, landing onto the couch. As the furry beast's black paws thumped onto the floor, it started to track its prey with its nose, now that rust from the muzzle wasn't clouding its sense of smell.

So delicious, so savory, so sweet. Normally, it wouldn't fight so fiercely out of its restraints. But this year, it craved the lynx more than anything else it ever had...

***

Abdis's heart was almost jumping through his ribs as he hid in the bathtub in the dark, behind the curtain. It was still wet from his shower. As adrenaline rushed in his veins, he could only focus on his phone, and hope that he could get some help. The dial tone was still ringing.

Come on... Pick up... Anyone...

"You've called emergency services," the voice on the other side of the line answered dispassionately, "how may I help?"

The lynx hesitated to reply, as he heard his stalker just outside of the bathroom. That brutal presence on the other side of the door. If Abdis could see through the curtain, he'd notice its shadow through the crack under the door.

"Hello?" The operator asked again.

Abdis kept his voice as low as he could muster. "H-Hi... I need help, I'm being chased by a m-monster... My address is-"

"Sir? I'm afraid that I can't hear you. Could you repeat that?"

"I said that I need-!"

The door that stood between the monster and its prize wouldn't last for long. As soon as Abdis raised his voice, there was a loud bang. Like lightning, it lit the bathroom. The door was ripped away from its place, falling to the tiled flooring. The wood creaked again as the clawed paw shifted its weight onto it. The lynx held his breath, but once the creature had entered the bathroom, he was afraid that it was too late to remain unnoticed.

The voice spoke again on the speaker of his phone. "Sir? This better not be a Halloween prank-"

The large maw lunged through the curtain, ripping it with its fangs as it snapped at the sound. Abdis yelled as the phone was cleanly snatched from his paw, leaving a handful of slobber on his digits. He was face-to-face with the terrifying beast, whose fangs made short work of his cellphone. With one squeeze, the device broke in half, falling and joining the door at the floor.

The lynx called out as loudly as he could. "JACK, HELP ME!"

But it was no use. The creature lunged at Abdis, bearing claws and teeth that skimmed his fur. It pinned him between the oversized tub and its tongue, keeping part of the lynx in its maw. The monster was assaulting Abdis with overbearing licks, and he tried to fight for dear life, unsure of the chaotic situation unfolding as he pushed against the ravenous jaws.

It was hard to get a good look at his aggressor, but there was plenty to hear and feel. The throat rumbled like a growling dog, but extremely more terrifying than any hound he'd seen. Its fangs touched his fur and made his skin crawl, afraid that they would rip him open at any moment. The strong mandibles couldn't pin him properly against the slippery bathtub, and Abdis was tossed and jostled as he got a shower of saliva.

He tried to scream, but his panicked breathing left him short on breath for anything other than struggling. Abdis punched and kicked as best as he could, but he might as well have been dueling a stone wall. A very hungry one, by all indications. Even as terror flooded his mind, it was painstakingly clear that the beast wanted to eat Abdis. There was no other reason why it would put so much effort into fitting the uncooperative lynx into its maw.

It was also clear that the monster could have crushed him as easily as the doors in Jack's house, or shredded him to pieces with its teeth like the phone it'd snapped in half. The fact that it didn't could only mean that it wanted to swallow Abdis whole. The lynx had experience with vore, but this wasn't like the consensual acts he'd udnergone. No, he couldn't trust the aggressive, single-minded creature to keep him safe once he was in its stomach.

So he couldn't be swallowed, no matter what. And fighting against it like this would only delay his destiny. Somehow, he had to escape and make a run for it at the first opportunity. Abdis managed to free one of his arms from the beast's grip, struggling to lift his chest and getting a closer look at it. And he found his opportunity.

The creature's head was mostly white, with two dark stripes aligned with its snout. There, on the stripes, Abdis could see its bloodthirsty gaze, and he attempted to punch the eye closest to his freed paw.

And it seemed successful, at first...! It yelped and winced in pain, and he pulled his other arm out. Abdis seemed to be in one piece still, but now he had to run. He stood up and dashed away from the monstrous head, making a run for the edge of the bathtub that was unobstructed by the colossal furry body. He tried to leap out, but something caught his ankle. The creature had recovered and grabbed Abdis with its claws, causing him to slip right back onto the bathtub and slam his chin right onto the floor! The pounding hit splashed some drool pooling at the bottom of the hard surface, but it didn't cushion his fall in the slightest.

The impact left the lynx dazed, and he couldn't fight as the beast dragged him closer towards its maw. His awareness was dulled, but like a distant sensation, Abdis could feel the texture of its tongue when his legs were placed onto it and slowly dragged in. The creature didn't waste too much time savoring him, only long enough to get the sweatpants all drooled on again before dragging his toes into his gullet with a gulp.

It murred wickedly as more of the lynx was stuffed down its throat, its guttural rumbling drowning out the groggy mumbling of its prey. Abdis could feel the pressure and warmth increase up to his thighs as his mind got clearer, feeling his legs pinned against each other by the mighty swallows. His arms were similarly pinned inside of that enormous maw, paws brushing against the sphincter pulling him in.

Abdis came to his senses and realized what was happening, still alarmed but unable to climb out with his squirms. His predator reacted and brought its clawed paw to his face, forcing him into the maw in a hurry. The lynx groaned at the driving push, but he wasn't going to take this lightly. He struggled harder as his strength returned, trying to kick and punch at the walls. He managed only to bend his knees and plant his hindpaws against the esophagus...but the effort was enough to halt the swallows.

The neck of the beast was now stretched to its limit, keeping Abdis stuck just above its shoulders even as the monstrous paw continued to push his head in. The lynx only scrunched into the tightening space, now fully inside of the monster's maw and throat. His face was being pushed against its black tongue, and he felt as the mandibles tried to close around him - but failing thanks to his body obstructing the fleshy room. He had another opportunity for escape, and it would be his last one. With whatever energy he could muster, Abdis made his own offensive. Claws, teeth, struggles...anything that he could throw against the sensitive insides.

Everything felt too hard to even scratch, let alone pierce...but something must have done the trick, as the creature's yelp of pain shook around him in its neck. His surroundings lurched backward, and Abdis felt the strength of its throat in reverse. A powerful, nasty gag sent him forward past its teeth along with gastric juices.

A complete opposite to Jack's earlier regurgitation of him... Messy, unwarranted, terrifying. The lynx wanted nothing more than to escape from this nightmare and be safe with his boyfriend, once again.

His momentum sent him free up to his chest, but what little cause he had to celebrate was short-lived. The monster managed to get a handle on its retching and clenched its jaws, squeezing Abdis tight. He was still knee-deep in its throat, and despite the muscles trying to expel his legs, Abdis was locked in place by the teeth on his chest.

Worse, its big clawed paws squeezed his face against the bathtub, pinning him completely in place. It was even harder to move than before, and the pressure from its mandibles was constricting him, forcing the breath out of him...! Despite the fight from its prey, the beast wouldn't give up on swallowing the lynx whole. That desire was stronger than its feral instincts.

For one, Abdis was glad that he was still alive and breathing - although just barely. He could feel his senses getting numb once again, being compressed by the powerful monster that he was no match for. Almost to the point of losing consciousness...! Then, suddenly, that immense pressure was relieved.

The jaws were still holding onto the lynx, but they were relaxed. His entire body was sore after the mistreatment, but it didn't feel like he had any broken bones. However, his muscles were still spent, and he couldn't fight it any longer. The beast must have known this as well, repeatedly tossing its head back to slowly send Abdis down its throat again. It strained to swallow, but being only half its size, the lynx didn't need more than mere gravity to be packed away.

The tiled wall of the dim bathroom disappeared as the maw enveloped all of him once again, this time for good. Both of them were completely spent, but one of them was still intent on tucking Abdis away into its body. With his snout slipping along the back of its tongue, the lynx watched black flesh consume his entire view before the jaw snapped shut, sealing his fate. His feet had entered the monster's stomach, and the rest of the lynx would spill inside in no time.

With a weak murr, the beast waited patiently for Abdis to clear out of its throat. Finally, it'd claimed its prize. It slumped into Jack's bathtub, satisfied with the successful hunt. The lynx was smooshed inside of its belly, having to endure the weight of his voracious assaulter - plus, what felt like large claws rubbing him ruthlessly and possessively. This was horrifying, and the worst time that Abdis had ever experienced being someone's prey.

And just moments after the best experience of his life with his boyfriend... The wild cat whimpered softly under the incessant grunts and shoves of the monstrous predator. All that the lynx wanted was to be safe in Jack's arms. He could only hope that the badger had found a safe spot away from this terrible beast.

Before Abdis passed out from exhaustion, he wished that he could enjoy another lovely aftercare session with Jack, when this living nightmare was all over - without knowing that it would come true.
