I'm not sure how to feel about this one, I went for something new but I don't think I like it.

Enjoy.

Interdimensional travel's a fickle thing, especially when the laws of that sort of stuff state that you have to fit in and by 'fit in' I mean 'assume a form in which best fits and adheres to that dimension's reality' or at least that's what the book I'm reading says. It's less of a choice really, one moment you're a completely normal person and the next you're a giant lizard that can shoot atomic lasers, all because you travel from one dimension to the next one over. Honestly, it's kind of jarring but I'm sure I'll get used to it, eventually.

The name's Bailas, interdimensional traveller by....well, every time really. I've been doing this for near enough enough time to say that sort of thing and, really, there's no one currently who can say otherwise. I got a bracelet thing a while back and a book, don't know who from or how this sort of thing happens but it has happened so I'm just kinda rolling with it.

I was a little hesitant at first, believing it was some kind of joke, but some things happened, which is a story for another time, but let's just say that this thing's for real. I can't claim I'm very good at what I do but I can say I am the best at it, so I guess I have that going for me. I have to say that the things I get to do are really cool, I've flown over mountains, swam in the deepest seas, and even travelled through time, technically. So yeah, I can say that this interdimensional travel thing has been a real blessing compared to doing the IB, which I'm doing fine in even including my 'extracurricular activities' so my divided attention between sitting in a classroom trying to figure out some chemistry questions after only having a half hour lesson in which we cover the entire of organic chemistry at IB, and trying to predict what place I might go next is fine for the most part. Yeah, I don't get to choose where I go or what kind of place it is but the book says that adaptation to any situation is a key skill for an interdimensional traveller to have. I usually go to nice places but the first time I used the bracelet things got weird, but again that's a story for later.

The sun's shining, the birds are tweeting, my classmates are also tweeting, and I'm rapidly trying to remember a ten-minute-long script that I need to recite in near enough twenty minutes.

"You're doomed." Layla chimes in over my shoulder.

"It's fine, it's not like I can't wing it. It's only a few percent of my final mark, twenty? twenty-five?" I tell her as I try to cram words into my short-term memory.

"Forty-eight percent." And with that I know I'm doomed.

"Well shit!" I say frustratedly, "and here I was thinking this would be fine for me to fail. Now I wish I'd tried to learn this thing sooner."

"You're mad man." Jeremy says from beside me, taking a break from his work.

The short minutes fly by and before I know it it's time for me to do the speech.

It did not go well. I managed to scrape by but only just, my memory isn't the best and I ended up forgetting one or two important points in my speech. I walk out of the English room with a sour feeling after my speech but at least it's over. Two history essays later and I'm free, discounting homework due tomorrow, for the rest of the evening. I get back to my house, greet my father then head up to my room. I open the door to find it just the way I left it this morning, messy.

"So today didn't go well for me," I tell myself as I get dressed into more casual clothes. "Wonder where I'm going this time." I touch the bracelet and a swirling purple portal forms in front of me, just in front of my bed, and I take a breath and walk into the portal.

I knew something was off, or at least very different, as soon as my feet landed on warm, short, green grass. Before I can look around my balance fails me and I fall face-first into the grass. I try to pick myself up but my legs don't seem to want to cooperate and all I can manage is to get onto all fours. The tawny yellow of my arms certainly different than usual. Wait. Tawny yellow! I look at my arms and see the forelegs of a lion, white paws ending my front legs, the bracelet having changed form and is now a pattern in the fur near my right front paw. I turn to look at my lower body and see the back end of a lion, tail and all.

"Can't say I expected this but hey, I've been an animal before, okay so it was more human-like than this but I'm sure I can work with this." I say to myself as I take in my change in form. I roll onto my back to see what colour fur I have on my underside, what? I'm curious by nature and just because I'm now a lion in a strange new place who knows where, doesn't mean I can't enjoy it. My underside is a white colour which compliments the rest of my fur and my mane is a dark sandy brown colour. While on my back I blush as I realise that I'm naked, the sight of my balls and a sheath covered in white fur between my back legs reminding me of this. "Makes sense I suppose, I'm sure this isn't the type of thing the book details as one adaptation that interdimensional travelers need to make." I joke to myself as I roll over and get back onto my feet. It takes a while but I start to sorta get the hang of walking on all fours, the lush grass brushing over my lower legs as I walk.

"What's got you walking so funny?" A voice says from behind me. Evidently I'm not as good at the walking thing as I thought I was. I turn and see a large brown-maned lion, my first instinct is to slowly start backing away from the animal. "Ain't got to be scared man, just wondering what you're doing here." The lion says. Right! I'm a lion too, I don't need to be afraid and he seems pretty friendly so that's good. "The name's Muraty, and you are?" I walk closer to the lion and try to sound confident as I have no clue what I'm doing as this is all really rather new to me.

"I'm Bailas, nice to meet you." I greet Muraty.

"So what's the matter? You're walking funny." He asks.

"It's um, I'm just really tired is all." I lie, the book said I should never let the inhabitants of a dimension know I'm from another one so I had to make something up.

"No, I'm not buying it. Tired lions don't walk like that, you're injured. Just tell me where and I'll see if I can help." As kind as that offer is, I really don't want another lion gazing over every inch of my body, who knows what they might do.

"It's fine," I try and reassure him, Muraty just smiles.

"I see what's happening here, there's no need to act tough. Even the toughest lions get hurt and need help sometimes." With that he begins walking towards me.

"Really, it's fine. I bashed my head and I'm a little confused at the moment."

"Ah ha! I knew it!" Muraty proclaims as he prances up into the air. "I'm sure I can help. Was there any blood?"

"No, I'm just a little confused. This is a silly question I'm sure but-"

"You seem to be fine enough to walk so I'm gonna have to have you come with me." He interrupts.

"What?"

"I'm a guard you see and, well, I've never seen you before so I'm assuming you've come here from some other place so you're technically trespassing so come with me and we'll sort this out." Muraty explains.

"But-"

"Please don't make me have to drag you," Muraty says, "I don't think you can outrun me in your condition so just follow me or I'll have to make you follow me."

"Fine I guess." I say as I just give in and do as Muraty says. Muraty starts walking and I follow, my awkward version of walking slowing us down a little. I watch how Muraty walks and try to emulate it; unfortunately, as he walks in front of me I end up focusing on his hind quarters. With each step his balls bounce slightly and I can't help but feel embarrassed that the same can probably be seen happening to me if someone else was walking behind me. Eventually I get the hang of walking and our speed increases.

"So where you from Bailas?" Muraty asks over his shoulder.

"Oh, far away from here. This place is very different than where I'm from so your customs might confuse me." I tell him, the last bit to cover any awkward moments that might arise from me not knowing what to do in certain situations.

"You seem like a decent enough lion, though, you do seem mighty interested in my hindquarters." I stop dead in my tracks. He must have noticed my gazing at him as we walked and assumed I was interested in what I was looking at. Muraty chuckles as he sees me standing there embarrassed and turns to walk the short distance back towards me. "Hey, I don't care. Really it's more flattering for me that you're at least somewhat interested in me."

"It's....I don't-" I stutter trying to explain.

"It's fine man, what's a little gazing among lions anyway, you're not alone though. There are a few lions round here that prefer lions to lionesses." Muraty tries to reassure me.

"I- sorry" I apologise as Muraty stops walking towards me and sits down in front of me.

"Tell you what, lay down."

"What?" I ask a little confused at Muraty's intentions.

"Just lay down on the ground, don't worry I have something planned and I'm sure you're going to like it." Muraty's explanation doesn't really clear anything up but I do as I'm told and lay belly down on the ground as best I can. "Not quite what I meant but roll onto your back." I'm confused by his order but I follow it and roll onto my back. Muraty stands up and moves closer to me; before I can really do much I feel a rough tongue glide over my balls and sheath. I quickly try to close my legs but that just traps Murtay's head between them, his tongue once again laps over my genitals and sends a small wave of pleasure over my body.

Despite the weirdness of the situation I can't deny that Muraty's rough tongue feels nice rubbing over my most sensitive area, I subconsciously open my legs up again and my feline penis starts emerging as lick after lick caresses me and brings me pleasure. "You want me to stop?" Muraty asks looking up from between my legs after a couple more licks.

"N-no." I mumble as I look away. Muraty takes my barbed member into his mouth, enveloping it in warm moistness. I gently thrust my hips into his muzzle as his tongue bombards my length in a painful pleasure that I can't help but love. I'm not really that sure what's come over me as I revel in the pleasure a lion is bringing me, but I say there's no harm in experimenting and gaining new experiences to look back on later and so I let myself get carried on the waves of pleasure the warm muzzle of another lion brings me.

Muraty must have done this before, his tongue knows just how to tease me inside his warm muzzle to make me squirm in delight.

"Y-you've done this before." I state between huffs as I get more and more worked up.

"Well sometimes the lionesses just aren't in the mood and a quick favour between a few of the lions needs to take place; I've given and received my fair share of favours." Muraty tells me; the time away from my needy member makes me half moan in need which the lion quickly sees to as he returns his muzzle to surrounding me. I feel my climax quickly approaching and try to tell Muraty,

"I'm-I'm go-" Muraty cuts me off as he hastens my end by increasing the speed of his licks and the intensity at which he plays with my member in his muzzle. My body tenses up and my back legs kick out softly as I unload myself into the muzzle of the lion between my legs. Muraty swallows down my load and gently licks over my penis as he removes it from his muzzle.

"Glad you enjoyed yourself." He says as he gets up off the floor. "You need a sec?" I just nod as I bask in my afterglow, legs splayed wide. I regain my senses after a moment and get back to my feet.

"Thanks." Is all I can think to say after what just happened. I didn't really expect to get a blowjob from a lion when I woke up this morning but I can't say I didn't enjoy it.

"Now that's sorted, I think we should find some way for us to wash off each other's scents in case someone asks questions." Muraty and I walk around and soon find a small lake which we both wade into and wash ourselves in, my disastrous attempts at swimming prompting me to stay to the shallows for the most part. We both leave the lake and shake ourselves dry, me following what Muraty does. "Now I'm going to ask you to follow me, we'll walk side by side from now on." He says with a chuckle and bats me gently with one of his paws. We both walk away from the river and towards wherever Muraty is taking me.

"You're one strange lion, Bailas." Muraty remarks after we, Muraty almost entirely, have taken down a gazelle. Muraty had dived straight in and began eating it, I was a little more apprehensive.

"I'm just not hungry is all." I lie as I look away from Muraty tearing away at the carcass. Several minutes later Muraty bats me awake with his paw after I'd found a nice patch of sun and fallen asleep while I waited.

"Come on then, we'd best continue on." Muraty and I walk past tall trees, large pools of fresh water, and high cliffs of rock on our way to wherever he's taking me, the sun shining warmly down on both of us as we walk.

"So how's your head now that it's been a while?" Muraty asks as we walk.

"It's getting better, I'm still a little confused about things I shouldn't be but I'll be fine."

"Good, I'm glad to hear it." Soon we come over a hill, the sun slowly falling at our backs. Before I know it I'm pinned down on my front on the floor and there's a large lion baring its teeth at me.

"Who are you! Where have you come from?" The lion growls at me.

"Let him go Abasi" Muraty orders.

"But-"

"He's with me." Muraty clarifies. Abasi slowly gets off me and I hurriedly paw over to near Muraty.

"So who are you?" Abasi asks, still glaring harshly at me.

"Oh, I'm Bailas" I try to respond as friendlily as possible so as not to anger him by accident.

"I'm taking him to Burasa so we can decide what to do with him." Muraty tells Abasi, "Come on Bailas, he's this way." We continue on our way and reach the mouth of a large stone cave. "Wait here." Muraty tells me. I sit down, the rock ground not exactly uncomfortable, and Muraty walks inside the cave. It takes a while but eventually Muraty returns and asks me to follow him. We walk into the cave and through into a large open section with many other lions in, one of the lions sits in the middle of the room with a noble air about him.

"So you are the mystery lion Muraty has brought back from his patrol." The noble lion says as we approach and sit down in front of him, I just follow what Muraty does.

"Y-yes sir." I respond, not quite sure how to address the noble lion who I assume is the leader of the pride.

"Your Majesty." Muraty murmurs from beside me.

"Sorry! Yes, Your Majesty." I correct myself quickly.

"No need to apologise, Muraty tells me you come from far away and that your customs are different from ours so I shall wave this off." The noble lion smiles friendlily, "My name is Burasa, I am the leader of this pride. Muraty tells me you are friendly and you look trustworthy so I say why not let you stay here for a while."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." I bow my head to show respect, it seems like the right thing to do.

"Now go bask in the sun or something, enjoy your time here but do be warned that if you cause trouble I'll see to it you are dealt with." Muraty leads me out of the cave and back to the outside world, the threat Burasa issued planting itself in the forefront of my mind.

"So I guess you're free, if anyone asks who you are just tell them you're a friend of mine and that Burasa has said you can be here. If anyone has a problem with that just tell them to see me." Muraty tells me as we step out into the setting sun, the ground a pleasant warm on the pads of my feet.

"Um, you've all been so kind so I may drop by every now and then if that's alright. Sorry, it's just that I love to wander so staying here for too long wouldn't feel right."

"I suppose that's fine, just try not to bash your head like you did again." Muraty chuckles. "I suppose this is goodbye for now, see you later then, Bailas." We say our goodbyes and part ways. I take advantage of what little sun remains and find a nice spot to bathe in for a while as I think over what's happened recently. Being a lion has been pretty cool but I've had just about enough of it for now. I find a secluded spot in some nearby bushes and look at the markings on my right foreleg.

"Now, I assume I just touch this like usual. It's never become a part of me before but I assume it works the same." I touch the markings and think about going home. A purple portal appears and I step through.

My arms and legs touch the floor of my room as I find myself on all fours as a human and give myself a quick look over, all my clothes seem to be back and I'm back to my usual self. I look at my watch and see that about an hour has passed, time having worked a little differently in the other dimension. The book explains it as 'like a big clock with about an infinite number of smaller clocks that run at faster and slower speeds, or you could try and picture a giant ball of string that's made up of an infinite number of differently coloured strings of different lengths.' From what I can gather, time in one dimension isn't the same as another.

"Dinner's ready!" My father calls from downstairs, snapping me out of trying to understand how time works across dimensions. I give myself another quick check over before walking downstairs and into the kitchen and sitting down at the table. On my plate is a steak, the image of Muraty eating the gazelle immediately coming to mind.

"Anything interesting happen today?" My mother asks as we eat dinner.

"No, I did a speech for English that counted towards my final grade but nothing much else happened." I tell her, leaving out the fact that the speech was a minor disaster.
