"Inali...please, it doesn't have to be like this." Her voice range out to him, wishing to pierce past the black cloak to the being inside.

"Shut up! Just shut up!" he snarled.

The wind picked up in the peaceful land, Ashe Rose felt the wind blow past her and knock back the hood of her half brother, Inali. His face was warped into a snarl, his eyes as cold as water in winter. This being before her was someone she loved dearly...Her half brother.

"Inali..." she said his name once more.

"Hush, you pest...What do you want from me? Why not let me leave? Forget me...forget our time together." His resolve was breaking, he could feel it.

"But you're my brother...I was raised with you. This holy kingdom is your home...you can't leave it, leave me."

Inali's eyes fell on the ashen vixen, she was a beautiful sight to behold. The tips of her tail and ears looked like they had been dipped in an ink well, her blue eyes were so hauntingly innocent that they pierced your very soul. White roses had been braided into her ebony locks by the other priestesses. His little sister was truly a vision in her white robe, no wonder their father loved her more than his own jacked up son.

Suddenly the black fox gripped his ears as the voices began again. They told him to kill her, to shed her innocent blood on the white ground. His eyes peered at his sister and she backed away, knowing something in them meant death.

"You have been nothing but a thorn in my side since you were born!" he growled unleashing a stream of black fire from his palm.

He closed his eyes and heard her gasp, that was it he must have killed her. When he opened his eyes again he was amazed to see her perfectly unharmed but the ground ablaze in her white fire. She walked through that fire which could never destroy, making her way towards him.

"Inali, I love you. What has happened to my brother who comforted me when got hurt? Where is the fox that taught me not to be afraid of thunder and to see lightening as a beautiful yet temporary piece of art? Where is my best friend?"

"He is gone!" he snarled, taking a step away from her. "I don't need you any more, Ashe Rose!" She stilled at these words, "Yes, that's right! By my own choice I choose to no longer care for you." He continued, picking at the wound he had found.

For a moment pain welled within her crystal orbs but then she made one final step, placing her hand on his cheek, "I know you don't mean that..."

The voices started again, their incessant whispering of horrible acts he should commit. Rape her, kill her, cut up her body and leave her for the crows. They all but screamed in his mind. He had to get out of here, to protect her...to save her. She wasn't letting go, though. He had to destroy her.

"I no longer fucking care about you!" he screamed as he unleashed his black fire from his palm.

Ashe Rose screamed, falling to the ground. Inali looked at his sister, her heart dropping for her knew he had failed. He bent to touch her, to comfort her like before but pulled back sharply. He had harmed his father's favorite and that would mean his death. Without turning back he left his wounded sister behind and the holy kingdom of fire...forever.
