Spinning her teaspoon in her little teacup, Maria looked over her two patients once again: Samantha, a raven, was sitting in a reinforced bed-- the corvid was so morbidly obese she had no hope of being able to walk ever again. It was already a surprise the woman had managed to find a red dress that fit her, even though "fit" was quite the overstatement; it barely reached the top of her humongous belly, which took most of the space on the large bed. It was, quite literally, bigger than she was tall. What had been even more surprising to the black feline psychiatrist, however, was the coyote head peeking out from under that mountainous blubber. Her royal blue was slick with... likely sweat, considering how humid and warm the atmosphere in the room was. Maria herself was still trying to get used to musty air and the unpleasant scent which was poorly masked with... deodorant? Air freshener? Both? She wasn't quite sure.

But still, when the cat girl had accepted her corvid friend's request for a couples' therapy session, she didn't expect things to be... that bad.

"So... Natasha," she began, addressing the silver coyote, "Tell me what you like so much about Sam's underbelly, your... 'den', as you called it?" she inquired, a point of concern in her voice.

A glint of excitement appeared in Nat's sapphire eyes, like she had just been asked about the subject she was the most passionate about-- which was quite literally the case.

"Oh, there are so many reasons!" she wiggled a bit, causing the heavy mass of blubber above her to jiggle ever-so-slightly, the immense weight of her lover comforting her. "First, it just feels so nice. A big, heavy blanket I can just hide in whenever I need. Keeps you safe! Have you never just felt so nice, all snuggled up under your big warm blanket?"

"Well, sure, but... they're just blankets. I wouldn't say my lover's underbelly fat could be a blanket."

Natasha pouted, a dangerous glare in her eyes. "And why can't it be?" Not letting the feline reply, she goes on, "It presses me nice and tight into the bed, and I'm surrounded in lovely softness all over!..."

Maria tapped her pen on her notepad, thoughtful. She was no expert, but it didn't take one to just feel how fat Samantha was, and she was surprised the coyote could bear so much.

"But... Does it not hurt?"

"Huh? Why would it?"

Maria winced ever-so-slightly, trying to figure out how to say what she was about to in the most polite way possible.

"Well, Samantha is... heavy ," she finally said, avoiding the raven's stare, "Even just the weight of her belly should be at least uncomfortable."

The coyote simply shrugged. "I don't have any problem with it."

"Okay... Well, what else do you like about it?"

"Oh! The warmth!"

The feline raised an eyebrow again; Natasha was a coyote. She'd assume the warmth would be a problem, rather than a perk.

"Isn't it... too much?"

"No! It's perfect!" The coyote giggled, squeezing one of her lover's fat folds, snuggling tightly against her. "I really can't get enough of it. Since I'm cold-blooded it's easy for me to feel chilly, but it helps me keep warm, like a heater!"

Maria nodded, still taking notes. Natasha was cold-blooded... This was likely due to her _ unique _ nature. Maybe that was also a reason as to why she didn't seem to mind Sam's weight-- perhaps this even had been the reason why she began fattening up the raven in the first place.

"Alright. So it's like a big nice weighted blanket. Keeps you snug and warm. But doesn't it get too stuffy eventually?"

"No way!"

Flipping around, Natasha pushed her snout into one of Sam's lower belly rolls, humming as she took a deep inhale of her peculiar scent.

"She smells so nice... I can't get enough of her scent. I love how she smells, I could smell her for hours, days-- forever!"

Maria nodded absent-mindedly, taking more notes on her pad. This "addiction" probably explained the strange... hygiene issues, which were quite worrying and likely needed to be addressed, but once thing at a time; there were many more things to deal with first.

"Alright... And why make this place your 'den', specifically? Why not somewhere else?"

"Oh, that one's easy. Where else would I get the most of Sam?" she gave a tight hug to her lover's underbelly, not even noticing the very concerned look on the feline psychiatrist's face, "It's the perfect spot. I love being surrounded by her, being covered by her, by her juices, her sweat, they feel so warm and nice..."

Maria took a deep inhale, not even sure about where to start; she figured she would try and deal with that later, taking more notes on her pad, before letting out a long, drawn out exhale.

"But how do you deal with other important things, like... eating?"

Once again, Natasha shrugged as if it was one of the simplest answers in the world:

"Well, it's no problem! All I eat is nearby..."

The feline raised an eyebrow once more, before remembering the coyote's unique way of feeding; while she didn't really approve that Natasha was mostly feeding on her friend's sexual juices, and found it more than weird, it didn't hurt anybody, and was even reassuring, considering all those stories about vampires told how they drank their victims' blood until they were a hollow corpse. She shivered, shaking away the gruesome idea, before refocusing on the coyote's monologue.

"... And it just feels so... nice, comforting, to have her so close. Of course I'd love being close to her! I love her so much. She's my everything."

If anything, the feline felt a pang in her heart from how sincere the coyote was; Sam's blush only confirmed that honesty, but their relationship... definitely looked worrying. She had witnessed this before: struggling couples rotting from the inside, unable to give up on their love, causing their flaws to gnaw at the other until they couldn't take it any longer.

But Natasha wasn't done gloating about her girlfriend.

"And from there I can also tell her mood! It's like, when she's hungry, her tummy growls a little bit differently from usual," the coyote giggled, a loving grin on her face, "Or when she's angry, her feathers fluff out just slightly. When she's scared she feels so tensed up, like she could bounce away at the tiniest sound. Or when she's horny, she begins to squirm a little bit and the more needy she gets the more she jiggles!"

"Nat! What the heck?" whined Samantha, embarrassed enough for the red blush on her face to match her dress.

Ignoring her, the coyote kept going, "And I can also tell when she's lying! Every single time, she just..." She stopped mid-sentence, trailing off a little bit, realizing she was just about to maybe say a little bit too much in front of Samantha; her lover most certainly didn't need to know how she could tell whenever she lied.

Sam, however, had a worried frown on her face. With her belly hiding the sight of her upper body from her lover's view, she "discreetly" signed at Maria to try and get the coyote to finish her sentence.

The feline caught on quick, leaning forward just a bit with an inquisitive look on her face:

"She just...?" she inquired, trying to coax an answer out of the coyote, but Natasha simply seemed to have spaced out.

Maria's eyes widened with concern at such a display, though she'd be lying if she said she wasn't also curious. A short, awkward silence almost settled before a gleeful smile appeared on the vampire canine's face and she resumed her monologuing.

"Did I mention how I love eating her out?"

The feline's eyes widened in tandem with Samantha's squeal of embarrassment, but neither stopped the coyote's sudden confession.

"Her fupa is just so delicious!" she almost squealed, her ears twitching excitedly, "It's got such a unique taste; it's not quite her pussy, so it's not the same-- but it's like an appetizer, because it's so close! Like a promise of what's to come next--"

"Um. Nat?" Samantha cleared her throat, monstrously embarrassed by her lover.

But the coyote pressed on, ignoring the pleading wiggling all around her.

"Whenever I want to tease her I start there, because of how sensitive it is. I know exactly where to press and when I want to make her squeal I just--"

"NATASHA!!!"

The sudden, reprimanding shout had the coyote yelp, before retracting her head away back under the raven's gigantic belly, like a turtle fleeing into its shell. The raven groaned, both embarrassed and annoyed. The fact that the coyote had exposed all that information in front of one of her friends on top of everything made the experience all the more unpleasant.

"Great... And now she's going to be holed up down there forever now."

Maria raised an eyebrow, "I'm sorry, what do you mean?"

"Well, she... does that sometimes," sighed Samantha, giving a defeated shrug, "If I go a little bit too hard on her she just bails, as if retreating into her doghouse. When that happens, not even a fire would get her out from down there," she explained, before beginning to wiggle, shaking her body as much as she could given her weight, displeased by her lover's behavior. "Case on point."

"I see..."

Maria went quiet for a moment, recollecting herself while looking at her notes, adding corrections and comments here and there. After an almost awkwardly long silence, she took a deep breath and sighed again:

"It seems pretty clear to me that Natasha's got at least some form of autism. 'Reminds me of Asperger. She's very fixated on your belly, her 'den', and it shows."

"Alright... And is that bad?"

"No, of course not!" The feline shook her head. "However, there are clearly some issues here, the main one being... there is no way she could have learned that behavior all by herself."

Samantha raised an eyebrow. "And just what are you implying there?"

"I'm not only implying, I am very much telling you that you have been enabling her. The very fact she's still down there confirms that she knows she can just get away with it."

"What?!" The raven gasped, offended, "There's no way!"

"Sam. It's not necessarily conscious. Hell, it might have been entirely unintentional. But the problem is that unfortunately, even when accidental, enabling can result in behaviors such as these." Maria paused, briefly going over some of her notes. "But really, that's why I'm here! To help you identify how and when you enable her, whether consciously or not, and to help you work towards being a more functional couple. I think at some point in time I'm going to have a session with the both of you... separately."

At that last word, the feline could have sworn she heard something of a low rumble, like a dog growling, coming from under Sam's belly. Though if the raven's face was any indication, Natasha wasn't the only one displeased with such a turn of events.

"Even if that doesn't sound engaging, it's necessary, especially if we want to identify either of your problematic behaviors and make sure the other doesn't work around them. Don't worry, I don't bite!" she joked, though she felt cold sweat crawling down her back. "In any case, I think it's about time we wrap up with this session."

She stood up, looking at her notes. Up until now she hadn't been certain, but after these forty minutes with Samantha and Natasha, the root cause of their situation definitely was the obese corvid. She took a deep breath: she didn't like this, especially considering Sam was a friend, but there was going to be a lot of work to do with those two.
