Out with it

Cody comes out to his friends

"Tout va bien?" Tobin asked over the chat.

Liam nodded, shifting from the joy of talking to his friend after months to noticing his insecurities.

Cody felt an anxiety like no other. His insides were like serpents, moving outside his control, tying themselves into knots. But he had to do this. It wouldn't be fair to them if they didn't know. And part of him wanted to rip that bandaid off, be done with it. If things were to go sideways, they would go sideways.

"I'm.... gay."

"....Oh!"

"Yeah."

Tobin opened his arms dramatically.

"Est-ce tout?" he said, "Cody, tu es notre ami. We love you, man."

"Yeah brah" Liam concurred, "You thought we'd just kicked you out because you like guys."

Cody's eyes couldn't contain themselves, and he sobbed.

"Thanks guys, really."

"We're here for you brah" Liam said, mimicking a fist bump.

"En plus, il y a moins de concurrence" Tobin said with a smirk.

Cody chuckled. Give it the creole to put a spin like that.

"Yeah, that helps" Liam nodded.

"You guys, I don't know what do to with ya" Cody said.

"Et si tu rentrais à la maison pour une visite?" Tobin asked, "Like I said, we miss you."

"You know what, I just might."

"Now, which of us did yah have a crush on brah?" Liam said, stroking his jawline.

Cpdy rolled his eyes, and the three laughed, like good old times.
