Dating Out

Chapter Three

By Roofles

Corey was back to work the following week, stuck inside the small convenience store he worked at.

He'd spent the entire week off and on with Maxwell. Just the last afternoon and into the late evening he had been with the canine. The Irish wolfhound seeing him off at his door. Corey had expected the man to hint at coming upstairs for a nightcap or something at the very least. Corey was willing to break his rule of sleeping with someone on a work night. Maxwell hadn't. He'd been extremely respectful the entire day, the entire week together, from taking a walk along the riverside before doing some sightseeing further in the city together and even later on going on that ferry trip.

Corey had gone to the theater. The theater! He hadn't even heard of the play before but Maxwell insisted that they "Take turns" on doing things they both liked. Corey, able to see how much the canine wanted to go eventually conceded and agreed in order to make Maxwell happy.

The canine had been wags the rest of the night, holding the feline's hand and dragging him along to the show.

Corey never had the time or reason to visit the city, only going ever further in with a specific goal in mind. It was nice to just relax and go at their own leisure pace. Enjoying the trip instead of the destination. It was hard to keep up with the wolfhound's long strides, but the cat didn't comment on it and Maxwell, to his credit, did slow his pace so the British shorthair could keep up. The feline's stubby legs making it difficult.

Maxwell had even offered to give him a ride but Corey's pride wouldn't let him hear anything about that; regretting it the next day when his legs felt like jelly.

The last evening together they had gone to a Maxwell choice in restaurants and the canine had paid for everything. The menu didn't even have price tags! Corey thought that would be illegal but Maxwell, once more, assured the feline that it was cover for.

"Please. Choose whatever you think might taste best." Maxwell had set the menu down, placing a hand on Corey's that evening and stared deep into the feline's eyes. "This single week, alone, has been better than the past couple of years. Thank you. This is just my way of showing my appreciation for putting up with me."

Maxwell had taken his shoe off under the table, hidden by a tablecloth, and pet over Corey's leg as he looked deep into his eyes. They had even shared the dessert...

"So why the FUCK didn't he kiss me after dropping me off?" Corey had basically pounced his coworker the very minute they'd walked in to join him on his shift.

The Cornish rex was far thinner and more lanky than Corey was. The other feline had white fur with black markings, large ears and large eyes making them always look like they were startled or surprised about something. Rex was also Corey best friend in the area and had helped the shorthair get a job working there.

"Maybe he's straight? You said he had an ex-wife, right?" Rex just shrugged, the feline not even looking at his friend as he flipped through the magazine he'd snagged from the shelf before settling down at the counter for his shift.

The rains had started up again and the streets weren't as crowded as they'd been the other day. They had very little foot traffic because of it giving the two feline plenty of time to talk about Corey's date that wasn't a date.

"Then why did he agree to see me? He was using Murrfur app! Of course, he's gay. A-and we're meeting up again later in the week..." Corey paused, worried he might've misread something, somewhere.

The shorthair fiddled with his hands, not even looking at his friend and coworker now.

Maxwell had been extremely respectful of Corey's personal space and rarely attempted to hold his hand. The fact the canine had touched his leg with his socked paw the previous night had been a big step for the two! Or so Corey had thought.. The feline hadn't even gotten a kiss the previous night despite the two going everywhere together all week.

"Am I doing something wrong? I thought I made it abundantly clear I want him to ravage me." Corey wanted to joke, to laugh about but he couldn't bring himself to.

"Maybe he's just lonely?" Rex just shrugged as he licked a finger, flipping the page over. "You said he's an older dude. Maybe he's just some lonely old dog that wants company. Easiest sugar daddy I've ever heard about."

"He i-isn't a sugar daddy!" Corey could feel his cheeks burning at the idea. Even if Maxwell had been very generous, covering most of the activities the two had done together, Corey had still paid for... well he had paid for lunch on Wednesday. And coffee Thursday...

"He pay for everything?" Rex glanced up at him. "The expensive stuff. Not the dollar store shit you buy."

"Maybe..." Corey wasn't looking at him.

"Insisted that he choose where to go?" Rex cocked an eyebrow already knowing where this was going.

"Yeah..." Corey fiddled with his fingers. It was just that Corey didn't know what or where to go in the city! That was all...

"Dictated the entire day's schedule while covering for your ass? Yeah. That's a sugar daddy." Rex face was void of emotion as ever as he looked back at the magazine. "Just be glad he didn't want to tap that ass for repayment. Keeping someone company is a lot easier. You're his companion. A lot of older guys hire chicks to go to the fancy places with them, so they don't appear alone. You can't go to a museum gallery by yourself. That's why you hire someone. Celebrities do it all the time."

"Maxwell isn't like that." Corey tried to defend the canine. "He knew I didn't have much money a-and... he wanted to go too far more expensive places than I was comfortable with! Maxwell just covered for me to be polite..."

"Whatever you need to tell yourself to sleep at night, K-Rey." Rex teased using Corey's online name.

It had been thanks to Rex that Corey had even discovered the gay dating app. Even if it was labeled as a dating app, everyone knew what it was actually used for. That was why Corey was so bothered by the fact Maxwell hadn't tried to make any moves on him yet.

"Am I not attractive?" Corey glanced at his reflection in the window.

The British blue shorthair had fluffy rolls of skin around his neck, squished up thanks to the work shirt he had been forced to wear. He had a round, broad face with dull copper eyes and a very marshmallow esc body type. People seemed to love him for it. Calling him the best snuggle partner back during school.

Problem was, they wanted to snuggle and not much else. Even some of the hook ups Corey had met up with using the app had just wanted to snuggle with the feline instead of doing anything else.

"Maybe he's asexual." Rex grunted back. "A lot of guys are. No shame in that."

"So, like, he gets off on my company...?" Corey frowned at that. "I mean... It's better than finding me repulsive? I think..."

"No one finds you repulsive, Corey." Rex rolled his eyes.

The thin furred Cornish Rex was on the other spectrum than Corey was. He was lean, thin, boney and had little fur compared to the thick furred shorthair. Where Corey was the squishy soft option, Rex was the boney, hard option. Very few choice either to take home.

"You are a cute guy. A little chubby, a lot of floof going on, you got rolls for days." Rex had to tease. "But no one has ever found you repulsive. You are sickeningly cute..." Rex gave him a stern look and Corey ears folded back.

"You are cute as well Rex..." Corey tried to comfort his friend. He knew how much of a pain it was for Rex to meet guys. No one wanted a skinny, boney feline that had an overbearingly strong hipster vibe going on.

Rex spent all his money on clothes and yet pretended as if he didn't have anything to wear. Rex was just glad the store manager allowed him to wear the pink beanie to work, his thin fur not protecting him from the chill in the air.

"Yeah, no. Not happening." Rex rolled his eyes and kept reading the magazine with a bored expression on his face. "You are on your own with this one, buddy."

"Thanks, as ever, for the help." Corey hissed back, going to checking the inventory. It was a simple task that allowed him to think about what they'd talked about.

It had been a week since they had their first date in that café. Or at least, outing together. Maxwell continued to text him after that day and Corey took that for a win. The Irish wolfhound had been polite about it. Never once sending him nude pics or pushing things past the boundaries of friends.

At first, it was a welcomed change from the horny fucks Corey usually had to deal with. Now, a week later, it was beginning to make him question things. The two texted as if they'd been dating for the past several months.

"Maybe he has someone on the side?" Corey called from the back of the store towards the front. They were the only two there after all and the cameras couldn't pick up sound.

"Did you check the app?" Rex called back.

"Yeah. It says he hasn't been online since the night we swapped numbers..." Corey had guiltily kept using the app. Even if he didn't hit up anyone, he enjoyed the eye candy. It also helped with how worked up he got after texting Maxwell all day or spending time with the canine.

Corey was far more playful than the older canine was and would tease him throughout the day, mixing in the playful banter with their normal conversation. Maxwell was rather dense when it came to such things. Corey just thought of the wolfhound as innocent and naïve when it came to the many innuendos the feline liked to use with him.

It got to the point that Corey was practically offering himself on a silver platter, nude and lubed up and the canine hadn't noticed him. There really wasn't much else more he could do to get noticed at this point.

"Maybe he's using the offline mode? That's what I do." Rex said.

"That's the one where you appear invisible to everyone, even if you check out their profiles...?" Corey had to think about it. He kind of liked when guys saw him checking their profiles out. It was the best way to get someone to take notice.

Those who weren't interested? Wouldn't message him. Several would check out his profile and just skip past after. The ones who found him cute usually messaged him for an outing. They weren't like Maxwell's outings. Not even close.

"Yup." Rex yawned. "I don't like people knowing when I'm curious about them. Gives them too much power."

"That they know you like them?" Corey could never figure Rex out at times.

The Cornish rex wanted to date but then would use a hook up app. He wanted to have a relationship but didn't want the other guy knowing he liked them. It was just one confusing thing after another. There was a reason why the two of them had never gone out.

As much as Corey loved his friend, it was clear why Rex was still single. Corey just couldn't figure out why he was coming up empty this time around. Corey at least was trying!

"Got to keep my cards close." Rex shrugged.

"Good luck with that." Corey was the one to roll his eyes as he scanned another product before placing it back on the shelf.

These duel shifts were rather nice. They worked together for twelve hours each. Able to cover for the other during their lunch and breaks while coordinating it all out. Working a customer service type job like this always had its ups and downs. Working with good coworkers made it bearable.

"It's really coming down out there, isn't it?" Corey stopped by the front windows looking out past the posters plastered all over the them at the rain coming down.

The sky was a dark gray and heavy raindrops were falling from above, covering the city in water. Corey never liked getting wet. Maybe it was a feline thing, but it just made him feel cruddy when he did. Taking a warm shower or soaking in the bath was different. Getting cold rainwater underneath your fur was something else. It took forever to dry and no matter how hard he tried to scrub it off, Corey could still feel the drops against his skin.

Shuddering, Corey wiped off his arms several times.

"I hate the rain." Corey meowed his annoyance. It would not be fun to walk home today in this storm. He had half a mind to message Maxwell, asking for a ride, but decided against it. He didn't want to appear like he was using the canine like that.

The two-spending time together was different than buming a ride off the dog. That just felt scummy to do or ask for.

"Try having a thin coat, then telling me that." Rex grumbled from the counter. The Cornish rex would wear up to three coats depending on the weather not to freeze to death.

"Nights like this could be perfect if I didn't have to work. Just make a cup of hot cocoa with extra whip cream and milk, maybe a cinnamon stick and just... ah." Corey purred at the idea, squishing his cheeks up with his cute kitty mittens. "Watch some streams underneath a pile of blankets. All bundle up and toasty. Wearing nothing at all!"

"Isn't that because the heating unit is still acting up at your place?" Rex snorted from the front. He didn't deny how incredible that sounded. The two felines would bundle up together during the winter to survive the harsher weather.

"It's not that bad." Corey fidgeted.

"Dude, you are going to freeze to death in winter!" Rex snorted. "I won't kick you out if you want to stay at my place, again." Rex clearly had ulterior motives.

As much as Corey liked Rex, the two were just good friends. With benefits, depending on the week. Rex loved cuddling up to the shorthair and Corey was glad for the company on those cold nights. The two had agreed to never let their sexual exploits ruin their friendship however and would never talk about them openly after. It was just a way to get those physical needs taken care of.

"If he doesn't put out, I may have to take you up on that." Corey groaned, sighing so much his entire body squished down like a deflated flan. His phone buzzed and he pulled it out to check the text he'd gotten.

"Are you on your break yet, Corey?" It was Maxwell. The canine checking in on him. Corey hated how much a simple text made his day that much better.

"Shortly." Corey typed back, not caring if he was caught on camera again texting. Their boss could care less, so long as the two showed up for work.

Corey had another coworker he'd never met before. Apparently, they liked to skip out on work. It was a miracle they hadn't been fired yet.

"How shortly, is shortly?" Maxwell texted back. From anyone else, Corey would've assumed they were giving him some lip or sass. From Maxwell? It was anything but. The canine just liked specifics and times, scheduling for things he could.

"Whenever I want to. It's just me and Rex tonight." Corey responded, setting the phone on the side counter in front of the window. It was used for when people wanted to buy something in the store and eat it there. With how often it rained here, it made just made sense to add the counter in.

"Splendid!" Maxwell texted back and then went radio silent.

"You boyfriend texting you?" Rex asked as Corey came back to the front.

"Hah hah. We're not dating." Corey glared.

"Yeah. But you wish you were." Rex gave him a knowing wink. "That, or, you just want to get in his pants."

"If you saw him, you would to!" Corey laughed, unable to deny it. Rex could be as crude as he was. "Legs for days! For. Days Rex! For. DAYS!"

"Ooh, I like that. Step on me daddy." Rex smiled at the idea.

"Big dog dom daddy." Corey nodded. "Pin the kitties down..."

"Sugar daddy." Rex's eyes twinkled at the idea.

"Whatever!" Corey laughed. "Just want to be crushed underneath that, if you know what I mean."

"I always know what you mean. You aren't subtle. You're an insult to your cat heritage." Rex shook his head. "No class."

"You'd think that but no! Maxwell hasn't gotten it that I want to suck his Dee yet!" Corey groaned, covering his face. "I just. I just want to bite his thighs, you know? Feel his fat dog nuts on my face. Be crushed underneath him and meow."

Rex grinned, showing off his fangs. "I'm familiar with bite play."

"As long as you are the one doing the biting." Corey chuckled.

"Dude. I am all skin and bones. If you bite me? I die." Rex laughed though and Corey joined in. It was good to talk to his friend about this kind of stuff.

The doorbell dinged and the two felines turned to greet the customer.

"Welcome or whatever." Rex gave a halfhearted wave towards the man standing there. The man took off his cap and shook his wiry gray furred face off as any canine would after coming in from a storm.

"Maxwell?" Corey jumped seeing the Irish wolfhound folding his umbrella and setting it aside. "What are you doing here...?"

"Well, I was in the neighborhood." Maxwell held his hat close, nodding towards Rex who became extremely interested now he knew who the canine was. "And wanted to check in on you. I know you have these long days of work..." The tall Irish wolfhound easily closed the distance with two steps before looking down at the feline.

"Only a couple hours left." Corey blushed. Maxwell was wearing a different coat this time. A nice brown long coat that was buttoned up in the front as the last one had been. It seemed to be waterproof, and Corey could only wonder at how spendy it cost. "You didn't have to come by."

"Dude, you told him where you work? What next? Where you live?" Rex rolled his eyes. "If you get murdered, don't come after me next. I saw nothing."

"I dropped Corey off the other day at his place, yes." Maxwell said to the Cornish rex whose ears jumped up at that. "I asked what Corey did and where he worked, and he informed me that he was a clerk here."

"Clerk? More like a indentured servant..." Rex grumbled, looking back down at the magazine. Corey could tell the feline was still eavesdropping on the two. Rex wasn't any more subtle than Corey was.

"Ignore him. He's always like that." Corey pulled Maxwell out of the doorway and headed over towards where the counter was set up. He held the large Irish wolfhound's hand tightly, unaware how much he missed the feel of it until the two had parted.

There were several cheap stools set up in front of the counter where they could sit at and talk. "Rex! I'm taking my break."

"I figured." The other cat just waved without looking.

"I hope I am not interrupting your work." Maxwell took a seat before pulling out a small cardboard box he'd been hiding inside his coat from the rain. "I brought you a treat."

"A treat?" Corey was already eying the box with a cat's curiosity, wanting to paw at it until it opened to reveal it's secrets.

"Hah, yes, yes. I thought it would be nice to surprise you. As long as I am not interrupting your work. We can always save it for after." Maxwell set the small cardboard to-go box down on the counter as he smiled over at the British shorthair.

Corey pulled his eyes away from it, wiping the drool from his mouth. He was breathing heavily thinking of the sweet treat inside.

"After?" Corey asked picking up on that.

"Yes, you mentioned you didn't have plans after work tonight. Once I saw the forecast outside," Maxwell motioned towards the rain with his muzzle. "I thought it might be nice to pick you up and take you home. I don't want you getting wet."

"I don't mind when you make me wet." Corey couldn't help himself. It went over the Irish wolfhound's head and, for once, the feline was glad for that.

"Pardon?" Maxwell pulled back, blinking several times. "I am not getting rainwater on you, am I? I recall you saying you dislike getting rained on."

"No, no. You are fine, Maxwell." Corey waved it off sadly, unsure how he was going to get the canine to see how interested he was in him. At this rate, he might have to take Rex up on his offer. "Rex can always do that later..."

The Irish wolfhound's ears twitched at that, Maxwell looking at the feline for a drawn-out moment.

"What?" Corey asked.

"Rex is the feline at the counter, yes? He was the friend you worked with and mentioned the other evening." Maxwell glanced towards the front before looking back at Corey, who nodded. "The two of you are close friends." Once more, Corey nodded. "He got you to use that adult application?"

"The dating app? Yeah. Rex is the one who told me about it. He uses it all the time." Corey thought that over as Maxwell rubbed his chin, lost in thought.

"I see." Maxwell thought it over before shaking his head. He pushed the box towards Corey who gleefully took it. "This is for you. I hope you enjoy. There is a fork inside the box."

Corey was already opening the container. He was surprised to see the strawberry shortcake inside. It looked fancy and he could smell the sweetness coming off it. It was rich and decadent. Exactly what the doctor told him not to eat and thus Corey knew it would be absolutely delicious.

"This looks amazing!" Corey was already pulling out his phone to take a picture of it.

"Here," Maxwell dipped a finger inside the box and slid it over so he could pick it up easily. "Now then. Please, take the photo."

"You want to be in it?" Corey ear twitched.

"That way you can remember where you got it from." Maxwell wagged and Corey had to smile at that.

"You are so corny..." Corey took several pics, planning to just keep the best one and delete the rest. "It looks amazing! Thank you, Maxwell. You didn't have to do this."

"Please. It was my pleasure to do so. It was nice visiting your... workplace," Maxwell looked around the small convenience store. "I have never been in one of these places before."

"Never?" Corey was already stuffing his face with the sweet treat. He stopped, though only for a second, at hearing that. "You have never been in a convenience store...? How is that even possible?"

"I have walked past them, several times. My father on the other hand would not approve of one of my... status, entering such a place. Such stigmas stick with you even long after the man responsible is long gone." Maxwell bowed his head as if mourning his departed father. "Reputation is everything in my normal social circles. It was why I was so thankful to break out of them and meet you."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Corey paused but Maxwell encouraged him to continue eating with a gloved hand.

"I did not tell you that to mourn him. My father was... My father was not a good man, Corey. He was a terrible father and a cruel manager of the family estate and business. One does not get as wealthy as he had by being a good person. A thing to remember. Those who gain such wealth must trample on others to do so. He is not up above, let me just say." Maxwell chuckled then. "He would be cursing my name from the fiery pits if I believed in such a thing. Still. I have a lot to thank for the work he did."

"I see..." Corey wasn't sure what to say to that.

"You are very close to your parents, correct?" Maxwell asked. The canine was smiling, tail wagging and it was easy to read he wasn't bothered by what he had just said.

"Yeah. My folks are great. I think my dad might, slightly, be a speciest against canines... one of our neighbors thought it'd be funny to chase him around the neighborhood barking at him the entire time. I think they had lost a bet and were drinking too much. Still, my father had to climb up a tree to get away from them. I don't think he ever forgave canine kind for that." Corey laughed and Maxwell joined in.

"Well then. I will apologize for my people. When we get that chase instinct kicking in, it is hard to ignore." Maxwell chuckled, covering his mouth with a gloved hand to be polite.

"I can't imagine you doing that." Corey thought it over. There was a smudge of frosting on his cheek he missed, and Maxwell eyed it hungrily.

"I have been trained to contain my more baser instincts, Corey. My upbringing was very strict on such things. A dog does not chase one's tail." Maxwell said as he leaned closer. The feline's whiskers stood out as the canine licked his cheek, cleaning the frosting off in the process with a gentle, almost loving kissing lick. "It doesn't mean I don't indulge every now and then." Maxwell winked.

Corey's tail lashed out behind him as his copper eyes widen, his cheeks burning hot as the canine chuckled before him.

"I hope that wasn't to forward. I was trying to tease, as you do." Maxwell admitted. There was a gleam in his eyes and Corey knew the canine had enjoyed that.

"I must be rubbing off on you then." Corey tried to play it off.

"In all the right ways." Maxwell agreed. "It has made me feel ten years younger, spending my time with you. Uh, what is it you say? Hanging. Out. That's what my son always says he's doing with his friends. Hanging out with so and so."

"Yeah. Chilling with friends is the best." Corey agreed. "One of these days, we'll have to Netflix and chill." He smirked as the canine just nodded along, missing the pretext underneath. Corey wanted to just grope the canine and was resisting the urge to do so.

"Is that another innuendo for something?" Maxwell thought it over. "I might have to ask my son..."

"Please don't." Corey laughed. "I feel bad for your boy. You keep going to him for these things!"

"Yes, well, you don't tell me what you really mean. I have to go to a different source to crack the code." Maxwell rested one of his long arms on the counter as he smiled at the feline. "I'm glad to see you enjoyed the treat I got you. It does my heart good to know I can make you happy."

"It was delicious. I should probably get my ramen though..." Corey motioned over the shoulder. "This place doesn't pay much but we get a huge discount on the things we buy here. Most my meals come from the store."

Maxwell took the time to look around. His smile began to fade, and he frowned looking at the artificial foods on the shelf.

"The tuna is really good!" Corey pointed at. "It's the same kind they sell in the big supermarkets. Maybe a little old but it works. Soaked in so many preservatives it'll outlive me."

"I see..." Maxwell cleared his throat. "There is a very lovely fish and chips restaurant near the park we visited. I meant to take you there but didn't want to presume that..."

"I love fish and chips!" Corey's eyes widened at that, drooling just thinking of the vinegar fried cod and salty fries. "It might be my favorite meal. Like. Ever!"

"Favorite?" Maxwell took a second on that as if processing what he had just heard. He barked a laugh, covering his mouth after. "Sorry, sorry. That is, something."

"Why?" Corey frowned at him. "What's your favorite? Caviar and foie gras?"

"Heh, no. Nothing so fancy. I might have been born with a silver spoon in my mouth, but I am not a fan of liver." Maxwell shook his head. "It might be on the nose to say this, but I prefer beef wellington. Just a good old fashion beef wellington."

"I don't know if I ever had that..." Corey had to think that over.

Maxwell's ears perked up at that. "Really? I must take you out then sometime! I am sure we can find a place in Britian that sells beef wellington," Maxwell teased.

"Maxwell," Corey blushed. "You don't need to keep taking me out. I just... I just enjoy spending time with you. I feel bad that you keep paying for everything." Corey lowered his voice, not wanting Rex to overhear them. He knew that nosy feline was listening in.

Maxwell was hearing none of that. "We've been over this. You do not need to worry when I choose to take you out. You are not taking advantage of me or my kindness." He shook his head. "It is my treat."

"I wish I could treat you." Corey frowned.

"Your company is a treat enough." Maxwell placed a hand on Corey's and the feline's tail lashed out once more. Corey had to grab his tail to stop it and was glad Maxwell didn't say anything about that. "If it is alright, I planned to stay here until you are off work. Keep you company or I can just read to the side. I can order a hot beverage if I must. I do not want to seem impolite."

"You don't have to." Corey voice was soft as he blushed, looking down at the large hand covering his own.

"I know, but I want to." Maxwell wagged. "I mentioned the other day that I'm only working part-time at the family business. It gives me far too much free time if I'm being honest with you. It is nice to spend that time doing something I enjoy. And I enjoy your company, Corey."

Corey just blushed.

"Damn dude, get a room already!" Rex called from the front.

"Shut up, Rex!" Corey shouted back and ducked his head, trying to hide his embarrassment. "We haven't even... I don't even know if... I mean you...."

Maxwell tilted his head, waiting for Corey to clarify. After composing himself, the feline cleared his throat.

"We've spent a lot of time together. I just wasn't sure what, uh, where we are. If we are friends or...?" Corey wasn't sure how to say it. He was always terrible at this. Sending a dick pic was far easier than talking about a relationship. That said more about society and his social upbringing than anything else though.

"Ah, I think I know where you are going with this." Maxwell nodded, thinking it over. "I would prefer if our relationship was exclusive."

"Exclusive?" Corey brain chugged, gears grinding to a halt before he jumped out of his seat. "Relationship?"

"Why, yes. I figured the other day... I thought you said yes to continue seeing me after our week together?" Maxwell thought it over, to make sure he hadn't misspoken. "Was I not clear about that?"

"Oh. I thought you meant... Oh." Corey giggled, feeling even more foolish and embarrassed by all this. "I guess I'm just not used to being in an official relationship? Then when you licked my cheek..."

"I apologize, that was extremely forward of me. I just couldn't resist. You are extremely cute when you blush." Maxwell folded his ears. "My apologies."

"No. I, uh, I liked that. About you. When you were forward. It, I mean, just..." Corey could feel his face burning as he kept his hands on his lap, not trusting where else to put his hands. He wasn't used to this.

Teasing? Having fun? Those were simple things. You could do as you like, say or be who you wanted when it was a one-night hook up. This was different. Maxwell was different. Being in an actual relationship..?

"Oh?" Maxwell's ears perked. "Is that so? I will have to be more forward then if it makes you this happy and cute..." The canine tail wagged faster.

The wolfhound scooted closer, placing a hand on Corey's knee and the cat could feel electricity shoot up from the spot where Maxwell had touched. He wasn't sure how his hands were so warm coming in from the rain.

"Very cute," Maxwell nosed closer, breathing hotly against the feline's ear. "I do like being the one to get you all flustered, like this. I see why you like to tease now..." The Irish wolfhound nipped at his ear, missing by a whisker. "I just want to..."

"Ahem." Rex spoke up making the wolfhound freeze as Corey jumped. "If you are going to fuck my coworker, can you at least use the restroom like everyone else does...?"

Maxwell snorted, glancing over at the Cornish rex. The feline lifted his hand, taking a step back.

"I just mean, that's what everyone else does. Don't shoot the messenger." Rex quickly headed back to the front as Maxwell removed his hand.

"Maybe that was to forward?" The canine huffed, shaking his head. "It is hard to get that down right. I might have been out of the field longer than I thought. What do you think, Corey?" Maxwell glanced over at the feline who was struggling to form words.

"If your fingers had slipped any further between my legs..." Corey muttered staring down at his bulge.

"Further... Oh, you mean." Maxwell was the one to blush. "My apologies, Corey. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I want for you to only be comfortable around me."

"Your hand is very large." Corey blushed, trying to calm down. "It just. I mean. It felt... good. Being touched by you. Like that. I wish you didn't stop or-or that Rex didn't get in the way."

Maxwell lifted an eyebrow, his tail beginning to wag once more.

"Well then," the canine cleared his throat. "It seems you already had your treat tonight. Maybe, later, I can have mine. What do you think, Corey?" The Irish wolfhound scooted closer, placing a hand on the feline's thigh as he'd done before. "You've seen me eat... I have a ravenous appetite. Do you think you can sate my... hunger?"

"Damn, dude. You make me wish I was off work now." Corey smiled to the point it began to hurt his cheeks.

"Well, your friend and coworker mentioned that there was a bathroom." Maxwell gave Corey a look and the feline wasn't sure if the canine knew exactly what he was getting at.

"N-now?" Corey was already getting up before quickly covering his groin with both hands. Maxwell glanced down at it before up again at the feline's face. "I thought you were a gentleman...?"

"Would it be gentlemanly of me to leave you as you are...?" Maxwell stood slowly. Leaning against the counter, he bent over the feline as his hot breath washed over his ear. "How about you go first and I'll be right in after you."

"I thought you said you hated public bathrooms..." Corey glanced towards the front of the store then back at the wolfhound. His heart was pounding so loud in his ears he wasn't sure if he'd be able to hear what Maxwell said.

"I think. I can make an exception for you." Maxwell smirked as he stood up slowly. "Now then. You best tell your coworker you'll be preoccupied with something else."

"Right. Right!" Corey said before calling to the front of the room. "Taking fifteen."

"Make it thirty." Maxwell corrected and Corey just blushed.

"Take an entire hour. Just get some already for fuck sake." Rex called back, somehow both invested and uncaring at the same time in what the two did. "I don't want to hear no more bitching about how your sugar daddy isn't touching you no-no place."

Corey felt his entire face turn red at that and Maxwell chuckled.

"Sugar daddy?" Maxwell covered his mouth with a hand as he chuckled.

"Don't listen to him! He's pure evil."

"I don't know," Maxwell placed a hand on Corey's back and pushed him towards the back of the convenience store. "I might take a note from his page..."

Corey didn't know what to say to that as he was guided out the back of the building into a dimly lit alleyway with the rain still falling.

"SO, should I...?" Maxwell teased but Corey butted in first.

"I need to powder up first!" And with that, the feline pulled out his keys and went into the side restroom slamming the door behind him as he covered his face inside the dark bathroom. "Oh fuck, what did I just agree to...?"
