Combat echoes down the halls, death rattles of organics and synthetics alike is heard as she tries to find some place to hide, "Damn that turian. I know Xenari one of those fancy Spectres, but that doesn't give her a right to let them shoot indiscriminately! Now I have to make it back while hiding from them and the geth," Kirisha thinks as she moves through the facility, listening for any heavy steps of encroaching geth.

"If I wasn't running I'd spend a moment to admire this geth architecture. I never thought I'd be--no, I need to focus, I need to get out of here. The longer I take, the worse my chances are of escaping," Kirisha thinks as she tenses,_ "Come on get a hold of yourself Kirisha. You are so scared out of your wits you can't feel anything, but don't let that get you down! You can do this!"_ Kirisha continues to think as she looks around, moving steadily as the sounds of combat fade as the hum of a geth drop ship is heard echoing through the halls.

"The geth are getting reinforcements, I can't stay here for long. If I don't leave now, it's over for me," Kirisha thinks as her focus, her determination to get out of her, she fails to notice that her 'long debate' with herself, process the information, deciding what to do. All of which are done by her converted mind, her new sub programs, runtimes that now create and define what is her mind. To her the debate lasted precious minutes, but in reality, it was fraction of seconds.

Meanwhile the geth were heavily occupied with the organic attackers. Most of their forces are designated to securing the area, pushing the organics back and attempt to follow them back to their origin. Those remaining are assigned to locating Kirisha. "Area 1 in sector 12910 has been searched. Search for platform 141895112 continues," reports the geth as others report in over a dozen other areas. Drones fly around, broadening their search, some of the drones are destroyed in the fight, exploding in pieces of shrapnel and metal scraps.

"Continue search. Assign more platforms to the search task. Discovering the location of the organic base is to be assigned secondary importance till platform 141895112 and program 1191891981," states the higher geth consensus that communicates the new commands to the other geth in the area. The orders are disseminated to all of the geth, any conflict to the order is quickly discussed and a consensus amongst the geth programs is quickly reached to follow the commands to the letter.

Kirisha has made it out of the main building, a colossus walks a few feet away from her, its heavy footsteps cause the ground to shake. She ducks down behind the burning wreck of the original colossus as she pokes her head over before quickly ducking her head down, the large machine missing her by mere seconds as its large flashlight head scans over the area. Kirisha sharpened senses pick up the whiz of the drones looking for her. She listens, analyzes and figures the best route to escape and makes her way to the original location where she was abducted. The bodies of the two turian guards still there as she scans over them, "I am so sorry. I should have listened, we should have relocated to avoid detection," she says softly to herself as she reaches for one of their dropped weapons before pushing forward.

As Kirisha was making her escape, her would-be rescuers noted the strange geth activity as they fell back, "These geth are acting strange," reports the human commander of the expedition force.

"What are they doing? Running scared? Humph," remarks the krogan as he blasts one of the retreating geth in the back, causing it a section of its armor to become sheared off its body before clattering to the ground with a heavy thud, "This is no fun."

"What do you mean they are acting strange?" inquires Xenari over the com link.

"The geth were hot on our trail, and just as we started to take evasive maneuvers they broke off their attack. Like we no longer mattered. They fell back, retreated."

"Fell back? Geth don't often retreat and when they do its due to overwhelming force. Continue evasive plans, they might be trying to lure you into a false sense of security to trail you back to the base. I want you to triple check you aren't being followed. The moment you get back, report to me, we have a lot to discuss, including any data you've found. I don't want my men's deaths to be in vain," she commands.

"Yes commander," the human responds.

The female Turian closes her eyes as she closes the com channel, "I've lost too many good men today and it's because of that idiot raptor. No wonder they don't even have an embassy yet on the citadel," she remarks as her body tenses and a hand rests on her pistol, "Didn't I tell you it's not a wise idea to enter my quarters unannounced?" she remarks with a snarl as she turns to see the yellow furred anthropomorphic jackal standing in the door frame, dressed in her tight latex work outfit.

Rheme looks at the gray skinned turian, and as she turns around her red colonial face paint is revealed along with her cold green eyes that pierce right through her, causing a shiver to run through her spine, "Any word on Kirisha and the others?" she asks nervously.

"We found Latius and Marruns or what's left of them. There was a second distress beacon within the geth structure but no sign of your friend. Note that the team of ten managed to get far into the compound and do the best search they can. Please know that currently only seven will be returning."

"I... I'm sorry to hear that," Rheme replies as her ears fold.

"Tell Charles, Vrak, and Terius that..." she responds coldly.

"Their sacrifices won't be forgotten. With what we could learn about their structure we could make better weapons, armor, that in the end could save countless lives."

"The research won't be saving their lives, now will it?" Xenari asks.

"No... I guess not," she responds with a soft sigh, "I guess I'll have to tell Mila about her sister Kirisha."

"Yes, you do that," Xenari remarks as she turns her back to Rheme.

"I have no idea how I am going to tell her this," Rheme think as she turns and walks away
