A short slash fic which I did partly on the request of a friend

As the sun set on the western shore Sunflash the Mace looked out upon the waves. The long summer days were always slow to fade as they kept the air warm despite the sea breeze stirring his fur.

A dot on the horizon caught his eye and the large badger blinked his ever so slightly red tinged eyes. Skarlath his closest friend, companion, scout, confidant, and ally was returning after spending most of the spring tracking that slaving scum Swartt. His paws hurt as he gripped the rock, biting back the surge of bloodwrath. Ripping the ferret in half would have to wait, in all likelihood the small army the bastard commanded was many days' march from here. There was very little use of throwing himself out the window to go after it.

Turning he chuckled to himself at the image of sprinting non-stop after Swartt and made his way to the door. He had allies now after all. Opening it he gave a great call, his deep voice bouncing off the passages "Food for two tonight!"

"Oh I say sir do you have to be so bally well loud?" Coming around the corner rubbing his ears one of the newer Long Patrol hares called back wincing as he did so.

"I do apologize- Fleet was it?"

"Indeed sir!" Snapping to attention and giving off a quick salute before relaxing again. "Who's the lucky lass, you don't normally make a request like this so it must be somebeast special wot wot?"

The glare the hare received back was more than an answer causing him to shrink back. "Er yes sir I'll go get the food personally sir!"

Shaking his head the badger closed the door, he really ought to have the hare disciplined for his insolence but what was the point. Young hares would be young hares and he did have to admit, one or two of the hares in the Long Patrol had caught his eye. Badgers weren't common enough for him to stay with his own species, not when he might not see another for many a season but there was just something off about letting one of those under his command close into his life.

A sudden fluttering at the window caught his attention. Turning with the widest grin on his face the badger strode across the room in four steps his massive frame moving fast for one so large.

Skarlath returned his smile with as best as he could manage of his own. The beak grin was evident enough for Sunflash after having spent so long with his friend. Hopping down from the window he looked the badger over noticing the red tinge to the eyes.

"My good friend what news of Sixclaw? How was the flying? Not to many spring storms I hope?" The badger leaned down and gave his bird a ruffle on his head feathers.

"Swartt lives still, his army has shrunk somewhat after the winter took some of them. They took apart their winter camp so will soon be on the move."

Nodding the badger continued to ruffle his friend.

"I don't think they are heading this way soon but I will be heading out again in a few days." Skarlath looked over Sunflash his fierce eyes meeting the badgers. "Is something the matter my friend?"

Shaking his head Sunflash sighed, "No everything has been the same around here." Sighing he let his guard down. "I have been missing you is all, these long scouting missions right after we spent winter by the hearth are draining."

The kestrel nodded and pressed his sharp beak against the badger preening the coarse fur. Sunflash shuddered slightly, enjoying the close contact. His paw ran across the feathers stroking them from the top of Skarlath's head down to the wings. His claws separated the flight feathers cleaning each one. Before long his paw had come to rest on the lower of the kestrel's back.

Crouching he stroked under the tail feathers running his claws up until he pressed his paw against the soft down. The kestrel shuddered as he pulled back slightly eyeing the yellow striped badger. A softness had entered the fierce falcon's normal glare as the beak hung slightly open.

"Shall I?"

"Let me" came the reply.

The badger could only nod as he got up and made his way over to the bed. Laying down he growled in anticipation as he watched the kestrel hop over then on top of him with a brief flutter of its wings. Shuddering as the falcon pressed his cloaca under his tail running it along his fur. But for a moment a hot feeling was pressed against him and he groaned loudly.

Skarlath let out a shriek as he pressed hard against the tight hole. Rubbing himself fast he flapped his wings and humped his friend taking the badger in ecstasy.

Sunflash felt every single thrust up against him. He was groaning not from any proper feeling of penetration, for after all the bird couldn't really, but from the sheer pleasure of his lover enjoying himself on top of him. His own shaft was hard and pressed against the sheets of the bed thrusting slightly to maximize his pleasure. He felt the falcon's talons grip tighter even digging into his skin but he didn't care as the kestrel gave one final massive thrust spraying hot seed onto and even into his tight tailhole.

Panting the kestrel hopped off and stood on the bed over the badger. With a grin he took the bird flipping him then used a paw to lightly pin the falcon's chest.

His tongue when it came was overwhelming to the kestrel as the feeling of it pressing against his sensitive hole brought his mind into a state of glorious agony. He'd only just came so the new pressure felt had no release leaving the bird gasping.

Sunflash continued his relentless attack on the tight hole even going so far as to penetrate it with the tip of his tongue. He could taste the salty drops which had been left by the bird's orgasm. Lapping them up he could feel the bird struggle under his paws in fits of pleasure as he let out weak cries which only stopped when the badger moved his head up to kiss the bird on his beak.

"I'm going to penetrate you Skarlath, I won't go deep."

Taking the weak nod as a reply the badger reached down lining himself up with the cloaca. Ever so gently he pressed. The tightness almost sending him over the edge then and there as he felt the throbbing wet hole lubricated with its own seed surround his tip. Skarlath let out a cry of discomfort but after a moment nodded for the badger to go on.

Gently he pushed in deeper taking the unusual depths of the bird. He didn't dare go deep enough to risk hurting his friend so stopped with only a small amount of his shaft inside. It'd have to be enough.

Pulling back Sunflash brought himself to the very tip before giving a thrust. Groaning he started taking his kestrel, his companion of so many long seasons, and now his lover.

"I love you" he moaned out as he leaned down kissing the feathery chest.

His sack dragged on the tail feathers tickling them as he made a slow but steady pace inside the bird being ever so careful. He supported his weight on one of his paws keeping the gasping kestrel pressed down feeling the rapid heartbeat.

Inexperienced as he was the badger did not last long. The sheer tightness combined with the utter bliss pushed him over the edge. His shaft pulsed feeling the surge of release which caused a loud gasp of pleasure from himself and a loud screech from Skarlath as the bird's tight passage was flooded with seed.

Pulling out the last few spurts ended up on the downy underparts of his friend sticking them together. He'd have to help clean them later. Rolling over onto his side the badger let out a mighty huff then hugged Skarlath close. He was family, he was everything he ever wanted, he was his life.

The knock that came at the door followed by it swinging open was a rude awakening from his ecstasy filled mind.

"Set it on the forge!"

Swinging open the young hare quickly came into the room and stopped seeing the badger and kestrel both panting for air. The glare from his commanding officer quickly had him setting down the two trays at the edge of the forge before retreating from the room so fast the door let out a mighty whump as it slammed shut.
