Chapter 17
The mating
There was a moment where it seemed all was silent and that everything living with in 100 miles was watching them, they knew what was to take place. Grey closed his eyes and raised his head howling and suddenly another howled with him, it was Sarah. Although not perfect it was close enough for him and they sang to the heavens in harmony. The morning after
That night Sarah did not go to her cabin nor did she put her clothes back on. As the morning light broke they were curled together in the same spot they had mated. The man scratched his head having never heard of a possum attacking like that but nodded jumping in his truck and taking off.
Sarah turned to the cage door and ran in side to Grey hugging him then kissing the side of his muzzle. Grey returned the gesture nuzzling into her and play nipping at her hand. Then Snow came out from the shadows to both of them. She knew what had gone on "I have two requests, one Grey you teach me to be a wolf. Then she looked to Sarah, and two let me be free release me from this place into the wild. If you do not I will tell the researchers what went on and you know they will test you both to see if it did. I want to be free to taste what it is to be a real wolf and not a pet. They looked to one another then back to Snow and nodded "deal."
