#2 of Fanfic

I was looking for this piece in my Gdocs somewhere. Based off this comic by doginacafe: https://twitter.com/doginacafe/status/1438537663083069442

Duncan and Eddie belong to doginacafe.

I showed this and the other fanfic to the artist and they enjoyed it :3 (too bad my Twitter account for it is long gone)

Moving In

Three years later...

"Ugh," I took off my headset and whispered, "really, dude?" as I left the match.

It didn't sit well with me that some online stranger in a video game told me some really mean things. First of all, this was a casual match of Medieval Assault. Secondly I was watching a different angle. Can't do two things at once you know? I shouldn't play solo agai--

Then I felt a warm smooch on my cheek, as Dunky's arm wrapped around my back and held my shoulder. I blushed, sitting straight as my ears perked, and put the controller on my lap. From a simple momentous kiss that lasted longer than it did, my post-ragequit cynicism left me as Dunky stood in front; he blocked my frustrations. The hunkygator looked at me with those warm bedroom eyes, and was complimented by a warm smell of coco and cream.

"So..." he offered a mug of hot chocolate, "how are you liking the game?"

I paused, and tried to look as if I were still frustrated. Closed my eyes and crossed my arms but the blush on my face wasn't letting up. "Not so bad I guess..." I responded with a peeking eye, and saw his lovely smile.

"Here's some hot coco," he nudged the mug, its dark brown contents spun around the rim.

I placed the controller on the 'couch'-side table, even though I sat on a folding chair. Afterwards I accepted his offer and took a sip. It was warm enough to relax my senses, but not so much that the sweet frothy flavor was dancing in my mouth.

"You're the maestro of hot coco, Dunky." I licked my lips, and quickly smooched his that flustered him so much.

He tried to copy my smug pose; crossed arms, closed eyes and looked away with blushing scales. "It's just hot milk and chocolate bars."

"Shush, you're a maestro," I took another sip and it made me tingle as it went down my gullet. My tail wagged that it was thumping against the cushions. I looked at him lovingly, "And you did close the fridge this time, right?"

His eyes popped open, which I found cute, and immediately looked at the open fridge door and rushed to it.

After closing it, he said, "Yep, I closed it."

He's adorable. I took another sip, and took off my unergonomic headset and placed it beside the controller. Leaning down, I took the tv remote and switched it to CatchMovie. "I'm done gaming for today, wanna move the couch before dinner?" I saw him unboxing the plates and utensils on the kitchen counter.

"Sure, in front of the tv, right?" He only got two two plates, and two pairs of forks and knives out.

"Yep," I finished his delectable beverage and placed it on the counter. Afterwards I shouldered the heavy ladder, and nearly lost my balance for a moment.

"Need help there hun?" He rushed, already holding its legs.

Words cannot describe the amount of gratitude I have for you, Duncan. "Thanks sweetie, let's put it by the empty boxes." And we stood it up next to the empty cardboard containers, leaned against the wall. Afterwards I criss-cross-clapped my hands, then launched myself arms wide to Dunky who caught me. He wrapped his arms around my back, and I buried my face against his shirt. Nuzzling his chest, I squealed in joy, and heard him bellow. It had become a romantic gesture, and it melted me everytime I did as I pretended to fall limp in his arms.

"Love you..." I muffled.

"Love you too," he nuzzled the top of my head, between my horns.

"Let's move the sofa now," I leaned back.

"Alright," he let go, and we both went to the sofa that was by the front door.

He heaved one side easily, and I the other with difficulty. We took it at my pace, and I hoped that I wasn't giving him a hard time. I even had to fold the chair real quick, and heaved it next to the ladder while insisting I could do it myself. I came back to my side of the seat, then we set it a few feet away from the tv. We prepared our new-home date: I placed the couch-side table to the right of the sofa, and Duncan, ever-so creative, stacked empty boxes for the other; And not to be outdone, I placed an empty upside-down box between the couch and tv set as our table, while he placed the fan behind the much shorter box-stack.

Then I found myself sitting down on the sofa, and Duncan beside me, who then rested his chin on my lap. I squeezed my phone out of my pocket while rubbing his scaly head. He loved it especially as my fingers massaged his head fins, making him purr.

"Dunky love," he whispered.

I kissed his forehead then opened the delivery app, "What should we have for dinner? Japanese?" I teased.

He covered his face, and quivered, "No fair-y hun," then bounced his legs and wagged his tail.

I rubbed his back, "I won't; how about some Italian?"

"Pizza de pasta?" He peeked between his fingers.

"Pizza de pasta." I booped his nose, and started ordering our favorites; pesto spaghettini with pizza margherita from 'Quando a Roma'.

"Yay," he bellowed again, which made me shiver in delight.

"Order will be here in half an hour." I put the phone on my side desk.

"Yay," he said softer. "What's on for tonight?"

"The Warlocker," I got the tv remote and started typing it down on the search bar. "All my gaming friends have been raving about it."

"Is it the musical with swords?", he remarked.

I booped his snoot again. "Just because he can dance with his sword, doesn't make it a musical." I played the movie.

Later that evening...

After dinner, and finished our nightly chores, it was time for us to hit the hay. I was already down to my comfier shirt and short pair, and so was my Hunkcan. Got the blanket set up with my rainbow pillows on the sofa. The fan was blowing in its direction, and the late night comedy shows were on tv to light up the room.

"We're buying a bed tomorrow," Duncan laid down on his side, taking up the entire sofa.

I got on top of him parallel, "Yep, we have enough funds for a full size."

"Still, I'm fine sleeping on the floor Eddie," he insisted.

I scooted upward and kissed his cheek, "No, you deserve the bed."

"But what if you fall off?" he reached over and ruffled my head.

"I won't, because our love will keep us together." I giggled and licked his cheek, and I could see his eye meeting mine. I held his chest and rubbed his scales. I felt his rapid-beating heart, with his cheeks flushing pink as the day he asked me out.

"I love you, Eddie," he said to me.

And I said to him, "I love you, Duncan."

"Happy third Meetsary."

His creativity warmed my heart, and I was on the verge of tears. I put my glasses on his makeshift table and clung onto him tightly, crying tears of joy.

"Oh no," he worried at first, but he must've seen my smile. Then he laid on his back, and I rested on his chest. He stroked my back tenderly, his digits buried in my thick fur. I nuzzled into his shirt, tears pouring out onto my nuzzle, and staining it.

"Sorry hun," I sniffled which led to crying. I hugged him tightly, pushing myself closer to him, and I wailed out with confidence, "Happy third Meetsary!"

"And that's all, folks," the colorful bird on the tv said. Duncan then turned it off during the credit roll, and placed the remote besides Eddie's glasses. The goat now asleep soundly, and purring in his arms. It made him drowsy; his eyes closed embracing not a pillow, but his partner.
