Kion: To tell the truth, I don't really know much of anything about the full moon from the female point of view.

Yineh: There's a lot of variance girl by girl, and moon by moon, but the basic super summarized expectation is that we start getting, "hot" a couple days before a full moon. During that time we'll have an intense, but still controllable, increase in sexual desire. When our heat reaches its apex, we become "obsessed" with a single person. At that point, we start slowly losing the ability to control ourselves. This normally happens the day of the full moon, but can sometimes happen before it. As the moon goes on, we'll get an increasing intense desire to stalk, capture, and, well, you know, to that obsession. Digressing once we've captured our obsession, we'll use them until we've "burned" ourselves out, sleep for a long while, then mostly be back to normal.

Kion: Could you explain the heat and obsession a bit more? I was under the impression that females hunted--all males through the full moon.

Yineh: That's not entirely wrong, but it's certainly not accurate either. During our heat, we're more sexually attracted to everyone and can become obsessed with anyone. That said, the normal stereotype is that we tend to prioritize non-immediate blood males that cross our paths. Once we have an obsession, it's extremely frustrating to break or change it, but doable for some girls, but not all. It takes an--immense amount of self-control to break an obsession and is therefore extraordinarily stressful. Which is why I'll temporarily hate you, but as Wafit said I'll forgive you once I've gone full cycle.

Lina: Most places are built with at least one saferoom that locks from the outside and has thin windows that can't be escaped from too. Just in case a girl who can't break an obsession gets one on someone she shouldn't.

Yineh: *cringe* I hate those rooms. I've spent three moons in them and never want to spend another.

As Vivica approached and went through everyone's names, Lina's nose alerted her to the fact Vivica was covered in the new girl's scent.

Lina: *angry glare*

Chyla: Did I do something wrong?

Lina: *growling* *stunned* *frantic hand waving* So, sorry about that. I think the full moon's getting the better of me. *awkward laughter*

Chyla: You know I remember being told that we can get quite territorial around the full moon, but to be honest, since I've never been around strangers during one before, I kind of forgot about that until just now.

Yineh: Speaking of friendly warning, Ki-su is--mine. *stern stare*

Chyla: *unnerved* Oh, okay... as long as he's alright with it.

Kion: I am.

Chyla: You look like you're doing well. *warm smile*

Kion: I should go help Yineh.

Lina stared curiously at Kion as he bowed to Chyla, wished her well, then made his leave.

Vivica: That was weird... It was like he was afraid to talk around you.

Chyla: *approving smirk* You're going to be funner then I thought. That aside, for the moment, he's always been that way. Was he different before I got here?

Vivica: *worried* Yeah, he doesn't always talk a lot, but the tone of his voice is usually different. It usually has a friendlier feeling than that.

Lina: Could it be the full moon? Does it have any effect on guys?

Wafit: Perhaps we can get quite a bit more skittish during the full moons, especially around females.

Vivica: And extra cuddly with each other from what Te-su says.

Wafit: *bashful* That's true too.

Vivica: Since Yi-su went into the obsession phase early, are you and the other guys going to leave early?

Wafit: Probably, when Demoron gets back, we'll go talk to Te-su and Bora-su about it. Lina, now would be a good time to go talk to Bora-su about solo camping if you were hoping to go that route. If you don't, you might lose your chance.

Lina: *frozen stare*

Vivica: She's undecided, she's still debating between going camping alone or with me. Of course, I'm Chyla's mentor now, so I can't actually go camping without her without good reason and special permission.

Lina: *heartbroken whimper*

Chyla: *critical glare towards Lina*

Wafit: *nervous* I think I'm going to go see if Demoron's back yet.

Lina: *frozen stare*

Chyla: I plan to enjoy this moon to its fullest and be as wild and free as I am allowed to be. However, I don't want to cause trouble, and therefore if there is anything I can do to help you while I'm still in a state of mind to do so, I would gladly do it.

Lina: *hard gulp* I ... I-I want to spend the moon here with everyone who stays.

Vivica: Unless someone unexpectedly shows up, it'll be me, you, Chyla, Re-re and probably not Mirra-su. I'm going to go out on a limb and wager that she'll want to keep track of Ki-su and Yi-su.

Chyla: *disappointed murmur*

Vivica: What's wrong?

Chyla: *short sigh* I was hoping to obsess over my first guy... particularly I was hoping that guy would be Teran. *blushing heavily*

Vivica: *cheerful giggle* Another Te-su fan, cute.

Chyla: You like him too?

Vivica: No. He's not a bad guy, but I'm all about Kylola, who you haven't met yet, Li-su here and Ki-su.

Chyla: *curious hum* Ki~su you say... Also, I've met Kylola plenty, she's no stranger to visiting Kion.

Vivica: Oh, right, duh. That probably also means you know other rammu already too?

Chyla: A few, but everything's different now. I had met Teran in the past, and didn't think twice about him, but now that I'm also a rammu, I feel like I'm officially in a union and everyone here is family I haven't gotten to know properly yet.

Grigy

Grigy literally means cherished plant. Traditionally Grigy where medicine women. In each squi village they hold deep importance in tradition. Many major celebrations are based around the Grigy and their personal achievements. Technological progression is largely seen as a taboo in squi society, however the Grigy are not only allowed but encouraged to push it as far as they can. Every Grigy family is unique, but they are all secretive and are largely autonomous form all other village governing bodies. To ensure that the other village entities can't over step their bounds when working with Grigy, they have a deeply intertwined relationship with the rammu which also operate independently of all other village entities.
