Just a short freeform poem I wrote a while back. Nothing to crazy, and it's something to post to get my writing hobby kicked off!
It's like time slows down whenever I'm around him
Forevers compressed down to mere seconds
I sit with him, together here we are
In these moments, the world around us stops
He lifts an arm and holds my face in his paws
My muzzle aligns with his
I can see his soul, his passion
His essence dancing behind glistening hazel eyes
His hand falls from my face
Gingerly he caresses my hand in his
He moves to my side, resting his head on my shoulder
In this moment, it's only me and him, nothing more
My heart races, my insides churn
His warmth spreading to me
He is my light, and like a light
He helped me find my way in the dark
Please...
Stay with me forever.
