Part 4: A Rude Awakening *BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* I swung my arm in the direction of that damned beeping. Forgetting that Robbie was in my bed too I accidentally hit him square on the muzzle. Yelping, he rolled out of the bed clutching his nose. I jumped out of my bed and landed next to my fox who was sprawled out on the floor. Pulling his paw away from his muzzle I didn't see any blood and he looked up at me with tear-filled eyes. Kissing his nose I said "I'm sorry hon. I didn't mean to." *BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP* Standing up he said "Don't worry, I forgive you." and brought his paw under my chin, pulling me up with him and my maw closer to his; our lips meeting and opening, our tongues dancing around the other's. Walking over to my alarm clock, he shut it off before he grabbed his boxers and stepping into them pulled them up. Now standing, I pulled on my own pair of underwear and made my way for the door. He cut in front of me, putting his paw against the door jamb and leaning against it saying in a seductive voice "Now where would you be going?" Putting a paw underneath his chin, I slowly started to scratch at it while my other paw slowly made its way towards his waist. Moving down his form, my paw came to rest on the other side of his waist and I leaned in and give him a quick peck on the nose. Moving him aside, I looked at him and said: "I have to go shower, I stink like cigarettes and yiff." "May I join you?" he said bouncing on the balls of his footpaws hopefully. "I don't think so, if my mom or dad were to come in my room and find it empty with giggles and moans coming from the bathroom. They would probably kill me." Pouting, he crossed his arms and huffed. Giving him another peck on the muzzle as I walked by him, I hurried to the bathroom and hopped in hoping to get a quick shower. Squeezing a large blob of shampoo in my paw I started slowly working the suds into my fur, barely scratching the skin with my claws. Moving lower and lower until I started brushing against my sheath, the head of my cock just poking out as I started thinking how much better it would have been if Robbie were in here with me. Shrugging off this thought, I stepped out of the shower and started to dry myself off. Wrapping the towel around my waist and walking into my room, I saw Robbie laying on his stomach on my bed, his head at the foot of the bed. I walked to the dresser and slipped out of my towel. Pulling out a pair of boxers I slipped them on. With my back still turned I didn't hear or see him sneak up behind me and wrap his arms around my stomach as he started kissing the back of my neck. Smirking, I giggled because I could feel one of his paws begin to snake its way down my waist to my boxers. He slowly slipped one of his paws down the front of my boxers and started to scratch at my pubic fur, eventually leading to him gently stroking my growing sheath. Purring, my head rolled back as he craned his neck and kissed me deeply. With a slight moan, I grabbed his wrist and pulling his paw from my boxers broke the kiss saying "You should probably go shower so Tim can get one before we leave." With a meek nod, he turned and walked out of the room, turning towards the bathroom. Despite being very aroused, I put on a pair of loose khakis and a light blue polo and lie down on my back. Putting an arm over my eyes, I eventually nodded off. Slowly lifting my arms from my face and opening my eyes, I saw that a fox in a wet towel had straddled me and was staring intently into my hazel brown eyes with his amber orbs. Smiling, I wrapped my arms around him and flipped him onto his back and pressed my maw deep into his and started fondling his sheath through the towel. Eying the clock for a second, I groaned a little bit and got up saying "Get dressed, I'm going to get Tim up so he can shower." and started walking over to the door. Looking back, I could see that the towel he had on was badly tented and he was blushing. Grinning I walked out of the room and knocked on my brother's door. Opening the door, I slowly approached his bed and whispered "Timmy. Wake up" He didn't move at all so I thought it would be a good idea to give him a rude awakening. Carefully placing my paws on the side of his body, I gave him a hard shove that sent him flying off his bed. Rolling out of his bed, he landed on the floor with a thud. He bolted upright; his blue eyes seemed to stare right through me: "What the hell was that for?" Shrugging I said "You didn't wake up the first go-round, so I took the initiative and shoved you out of your bed." I paused a bit and pointing over to the door said "Go shower." Turning around, I cocked my head back and said "You stink like a show." Grumbling he stood up and grabbed a change of clothes. I walked from his room and slipped into mine, seeing that Robbie was fully dressed and lying down in my bed with his hands behind his head and his eyes closed. Leaning against the door jamb I asked: "You want something to eat before school?" His eyes flew open and he looked over at me a little startled. Collecting himself, he let out a yawn and said "Nah, I'm fine. I usually don't eat before school anyway." Cocking an eyebrow, I smirked and said "Suit yourself; I'm starving so you can come down if you want." Seeing him hop off the bed I turned around and started walking to the stairs; he caught up with me and gave my rump a quick pinch. Purring as I walked down the stairs, I swished seductively swished my tail from side to side. Going through the living room, I saw Kenny was lying on the couch with his eyes closed and listening to his Ipod. Thinking that my mom had probably already asked if he was going to eat, I didn't want to bother him so I left him lying on the couch. Walking into the kitchen, my dad was strangely absent but my mom was sitting in her normal chair drinking a cup of coffee. "Where's dad?" I asked pointing over to the empty chair. Putting down her cup of coffee, my mom responded "He had to go on a business trip and left early this morning..." She picked up her cup of coffee and after taking a sip she said "Before he left, he said he saw something very interesting in your room this morning." If it weren't for my fur, my face would have gone completely pale right then and I began to feel a little sick. 'Ahh shit' I thought to myself. I didn't want them to find out like this... not when I wasn't ready. Dropping into my chair and Robbie sitting in the one next to me, my mom across from us I put my hands on the table and lowered my head, a single tear dropped on the table. Robbie put his hand on my shoulder and started gently rubbing it. I'm almost positive that at this point he knew where this conversation was going and was rubbing my shoulder in an attempt to comfort me and to let me know that he was there for me no matter what. My mom put her cup of coffee back on the table and calmly said: "Shawn, honey. I just want to let you know that we love you no matter what, me and your father both. We fully support you and are glad that you've finally found someone you can be happy with." My head snapped up and I practically leapt over the table. Hugging her, I broke down completely and started sobbing out of sheer joy. Tim came bounding down the stairs and upon seeing us, grinned saying: "I guess mom knows now." Breaking the firm embrace I looked over at Tim with a look of pure elation on my face and nodded, tears still streaming down my face. Turning to face Robbie, I hooked my arms around his waist and pulled him towards myself and kissed him deeply, the feeling of complete freedom making it all the better. I broke the kiss and turned to my mom who was standing there smiling. Grinning madly, I said: "You have no idea how great it feels to not have to hide it." She stole a glance at the clock over top the fridge and gasped. "You boys are going to be late, you better leave." I walked over to Kenny and tapped him on the shoulder. He was still groggy from sleep but managed to mumble some incoherent rambling as I motioned for him to grab his bag. Frantically ushering us to the door, she took the time to pull Robbie back and said with a smile: "Robbie, you are welcome to stay here any time you wish. If something comes up, don't ever hesitate-" she paused for a moment "our door is always open to you." His voice shaking from emotion he said "Thank you." and he turned around with his tail wagging furiously. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ On the way to drop Robbie off at his house after school we decided that since my parents already knew about us, we would tell Robbie's parents the coming weekend. I kissed him goodbye in the car and he climbed out. Backing down the driveway, I saw he was waving with a huge grin across his muzzle. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Having finished dinner and gotten the bulk of my homework out of the way, I went up to my room and lay in my bed, putting on my headphones with my Ipod on random. I just lay there thinking about what could happen when we tell Robbie's parents. I felt that he knew he could rely on me for help if he needed it. Taking comfort in this, I fell asleep in the middle of Murder By Death's "Shiola" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The weekend crept up on us and soon we were going to tell Robbie's parents about us. We had planned that I would come over on Saturday and we would sit them down and tell them... that was until the day came and everything sort of blew up in our faces. I pulled into his driveway late in the afternoon and walked up to the door. Slowly knocking on it, I heard a shuffling behind it and Robbie's mom cracked open the door. Peering around the door, she glared at me seeming colder and more hostile towards me. Finally opening it, she stood aside and tried staring me down; I looked at her and smiled as I made my way passed her and up the stairs to Robbie's room. Knocking on the door, I walked in and saw a lump of blankets on Robbie's bed and I could hear his heavy sobs. I sat down at the foot of his bed and started stroking the lump. The time between sobs grew longer and he poked his head out from underneath the mound, his eyes were horribly bloodshot and the fur around them was matted down and streaked from tears. "What's wrong?" I asked, the concern very evident in the tone of my voice. Still sobbing some, he said "My parents..." he paused for a moment and took a deep, rattled breath"-they know. Then they said that they never wanted a tailraiser for a son." I inhaled deeply and let out a long sigh asking "How did they find out?" He stopped sobbing long enough to say "I just... slipped up. The other day they asked why I was so happy..." he paused a moment and said "so I answered them. I told them that I was happy when I was with you... I guess they put the pieces together and they asked me what we are." I didn't know what to say, so I put my head in my paws and after a moment of silence I asked "And what did you say?" He looked away in shame and said "I told them that we were together... that we were happy to be with each other..." still looking away, he started sobbing again. I took my head from my paws and looked at him, he did the same and our eyes met. I could see the confusion and fear in his eyes. "My dad just walked away from me and left... my mom won't even talk to me." He started crying even harder. "I just don't know what to do..." Shifting closer to him, I wrapped my arms around him and rested my chin on the top of his head. After a moment of him sobbing in my arms, I put my paw underneath his chin and tilted it up so he was looking into my eyes once again... "Robbie, if you need to you can stay with me. I'm sure my parents won't mind." He nodded, tears still streaming down his face and getting caught in his fur. I got out of his bed and walked over to his closet and pulled out his duffel bag and started packing it for him. Slinging the duffel bag full of clothes and other stuff onto my shoulder, I grabbed his textbooks and schoolbag. He had been watching me the whole time, and seeing me sling the bags onto my shoulder he crawled out of his bed and hastily put on a pair of shoes. Opening the door to his room I motioned for him to follow me as I walked down the stairs and out of his house, he didn't even say anything to his mother as he walked by. I opened up the sliding door of my minivan and tossed the bags and textbooks into the seat and climbed up front myself. I looked over at Robbie to find him blankly staring straight ahead, his breath coming long and ragged. I shoved the key into the ignition and backed down the driveway, starting on the way home. Not a word was spoken the entire drive home. Grabbing his bags from the back seat, I walked to the other side of the car and opened the door for him. Slowly, he climbed out of the car and I shut the door and locked the car. I fished out my set of house keys and slid the key into the lock. Feeling the pins slide into place and turning it I popped open the door and motioned for Robbie to go in first. Following him into my house, I turned and locked the door behind us; we walked into the kitchen and I dropped his bags on the floor by the window sill and sat at the kitchen table. Sitting across from me, he rested his elbows on the table and dropped his head into his paws, staring down at the wooden table. Occasionally I would see a tear fall from off the end his muzzle and land on the table. Nobody else was home and there was no noise save for his ragged breaths. He broke the silence some time later by saying in a low, defeated voice "I don't understand why they would do this." Having sat at that table in complete silence while my mate was utterly lost began to wear on me and I too began to weep, I couldn't stand to see him like this. Looking down at my paws, I whispered: "Neither do I." A few minutes later, my mom opened the door, closely followed by my dad; upon surveying the scene before her, she walked over to the table and sat next to Robbie. She put her paw on his back and started rubbing it, trying to comfort him. "What's wrong hon?" There was a moment of silence and seeing that Robbie wasn't going to answer her, I did. "His parents found out about us and..." I let out a long, low sigh and finished "-his dad left and his mom won't talk to him." Still rubbing his back, she leaned over to him and kissed him on the top of his head saying "It'll all be okay. You can stay here as long as you need to." He looked up at her, his usually vibrant amber eyes now red and bloodshot and he said in a weak, trembling voice "Thank you." She patted him on the back and asked if he wanted anything to eat; he shook his head and whispered "No." Finally standing, I walked over to the bags by the window sill and slung them onto my shoulders. Walking over to the table, I patted Robbie on the shoulder, his muzzle lifted up and I motioned for him to follow me upstairs. While climbing the stairs to my room, I turned back to see that Robbie was following me slowly with his head turned down, staring intently at the ground and his tail following limp behind him. Opening the room to my door I walked in first, eventually followed by Robbie who flopped into the bed and curled into a ball. Dropping my load on the ground, I sat at the edge of the bed next to him and put my paw on his shoulder. He turned his head and looked up at me asking in a low voice "Aren't you going to go eat with your parents?" Looking down on him, I shook my head no and said slowly "I'm not hungry." Managing to give a weak smile, he turned his head back and brought his knees up to his chin. I lay down next to him and wrapped a large furred arm around him and pulled him closer to me. Kissing him on the back of his neck, I rested my chin on the top of his head and I whispered: "Don't worry; I'll never leave you when you need me." * * *
