Crisis vs. Shalia

#3 of Crisis

During my small recent (not any more recent, lol) trip I visited Chaos Croc, and he challenged me to write a short story of Crisis and his Fire bird character Shalia fighting. And here it is!

To learn more about firebirds and his story with Titian Fall, you have to poke him about it.

Art by moltengold though very old art from her's.

Crisis vs. Shalia

Using the same multiple dimensional crossing technology Chaos Croc uses, Crisis arrived on this strange new planet as part of her plan to expand her empire to keep up with his. She knew the peace of her people and that of other worlds held an irony that she must take over other worlds through war to preserve peace.

Though over the years the taste of conquest, expansion, and roboticization has grown on her, much to her closest companion, Joshua's dismay, but he wasn't here to tell her otherwise. She right now was on this new planet, part of an expeditionary team to learn about the planet before an invasion.

And what better way to learn about a planet than... a museum. Crisis was draped in a long cloak, leather gloves, and a hood to cover up her robotic features. She saw only some evidence to support that someone like her would exist in this world, but to her dismay she saw that reptilian anthropomorphic people of this planet were little more than slaves, if even that. All the more reason for her to learn what she can to take it over.

She managed not to draw too much suspicion to herself as she walked the halls of the museum, her metallic were quieted with a rubber coating that was painted on the base of her feet. She ignored the various comments about her strange attired, but it worked to her advantage as people were too anxious about her presence to really attempt to reveal that she is a machine.

"This looks to be interesting," thinks Crisis as she notices the heading of this next exhibition named, "The Firebird's greatest threat". The firebirds were the people that appear to run this planet at the very highest orders, and often Crisis has heard the name Shalia over and over again as the ruler of the planet, "If I know what this threat was and why it was so great, it could give me an edge," thinks Crisis as she enters the exhibit.

There she finds a strange sight, a green anthropomorphic female lizard with long flowing purple hair and yellow eyes. She was completely naked except for a pair of long rubber boots that went up past her knees and a matching pair of gloves that went just as far on her arms. She wasn't moving as she appeared to be trapped in a sensual pose, showing off her rather cute body.

Crisis made her way over to the exhibit as she started to read the text below about this person who was called Tyamet. She learned that this person was a magic user and caused much trouble for the immortal Empress Shalia. "Shame such a lovely person was turned into a rubber statue... she does look nice though," Crisis thought as she swayed her tail. She took a step over as she found a smaller exhibit case in front of Tyamet as it showed a belt that was enchanted and indestructible. This belt was Tyamet's symbol of her tyranny and rebellion against the 'glorious' firebirds.

"Guys get ready for some noise, I think I found something I must have, and it's going to cause a commotion," says Crisis over an internal communication system.

_"Mistress Crisis... what are you going to do?"_asks a female voice in return over the same system.

"Just back me up," says Crisis as she slams her hand into and through the exhibition glass grabbing the belt.

The people nearby gasp in shock before they flee from the area as the alarm goes off. Crisis wraps the belt around her waist for safe keeping as she goes up to the Tyamet exhibit and smashes the protective glass case.

"I have to have you too to learn so many secrets..." says Crisis to herself as she thinks, "If nothing else, you are too damn cute not to be mine."

Crisis is about to grab Tyamet when she hears a strong female voice behind her.

"My, my, my, what do we have here? Do you know it's not wise to take things that clearly don't belong to you?"

Crisis turns around as the shards of glass, have ripped away parts of her cloak, revealing some of her metallic arms. Crisis looks forward to see the only firebird she would know the moment she saw her, Shalia herself. The fine brown feathered female avian, who's feathers are so fine, that they look more like skin than actual feathers, her long yellow flowing hair, most of which is tied into a pony tail at the base save for a small bit of hair which covers her right eye. Her other yellow eye glares sternly at Crisis as the avian walks elegantly towards Crisis, as she is dressed in elegant red and white clothing with long boots. Her footsteps tap at the ground cracking and breaking a few shards of glass. As Shalia looks up at Crisis as she gets closer, Crisis can see a silver tiara that's mostly hidden by Shalia's hair. A purple gem glistens in the lights which is a crowning jewel of the tiara.

"Do you know it's wrong to petrify and display a lovely person such as Tyamet?" asks Crisis in return as she thinks, "Unless it's me in my personal charge room."

Shalia moves closer, she brushes her hands to her sides for just a moment, moving some of the elegant dress to reveal a pair of rapiers hidden underneath, "I don't know who you are, but you are making a rather big mistake."

"Am I now? And how am I making a mistake?" asks Crisis.

"You are going up against things you do not understand. Like a small desert lizard trying to stand in the open to fight the eagle that has stalking it to be its lunch. It might be best now to scurry off and hide under some rock before the eagle decides to swoop down and have lun--," says Shalia as she was interrupted as Crisis activated her electro-blades and stabbed Shalia right in the gut.

"I'm not a fan of doing such dirty work, but from what I read, I'm doing this world a favor," remarks Crisis.

"You made a very unwise decision," remarks Shalia's hand glows red with fire, Crisis' eyes light up as she has never seen such a thing, and the fact she's unfazed by the electro-blade still in her gut.

Shalia slams her fist hard into Crisis' body knocking her back, past the Tyamet display, through the back of the case and into another nearby display case. Crisis' cloak is completely ablaze as she is sent flying.

"Lizards should know better not to play with fire, they always get burned," remarks Shalia as she shakes her hand as the cut in her gut heals.

Crisis manages to see the quick self healing through the blaze as her clothing is burned off, the fire is nowhere close to do any damage to her systems as she stands up from her spot, the last bits of clothing falls off of her in a flaming mess revealing Crisis in full.

"That certainly explains a few things, but that body armor will not save you," remarks Shalia.

"It's not body armor," replies Crisis with glowing blue eyes as she re-activates her electro-blades.

Shalia lifts an eye ridge as she sees the display before her, "Why can't your kind learn their place? Things would be so much easier."

"I know my place, it's you who has yet to realize it," says Crisis as she charges at Shalia once again.

Shalia gives out a long drown out sigh as she launches a wall of fire against Crisis. Crisis eyes detect that this wall is hot enough to damage her so she dashes behind a base of a nearby display as the wall of flames rushes past her, heating up her metal skin but not to a critical degree yet.

"You lizards just never learn do you? Maybe you all need some harsher lessons to learn how the world works, and what's best for you." states Shalia as she moves closer to Crisis, the wall of flame caught several random items ablaze if it wasn't burnt to a crisp already. Tyamet herself though remains unharmed as she was behind Shalia when she released the wall of fire.

"So... somehow she's able to create fire out of nowhere. I read there was magic, but I didn't think they meant actual magic!" thinks Crisis as she stands up again, "Strange I was about to say the same to you," remarks Crisis with a smirk.

"I don't have time for these games, I have better things to do, I'll just end it right now," says Shalia as she starts to create a torrent of red hot flames, a tornado of fire but as she was forming the wind of doom, the fire alarm goes off and the sprinkler system goes off and the fire dissipates.

"Water is hear weakness," thinks Crisis as she charges forward at Shalia striking her again with her electro-blades but right before they reach Shalia the water causes them to short circuit out and Crisis completely misses.

"That was one of the saddest attacks against me I've ever seen in the countless eons of my existence. Even if you manage to hit me, you know I'll just heal myself far faster than you can hurt me."

"Then maybe I will have to cause a deeper harder to heal wound," growls Crisis as the palm of her hand starts to glow and spark as she boots up her hand roboticizer, "Your power will be most beneficial to me," says Crisis as she slams her claws right into Shalia's gut as she starts to release the roboticization energy. Crisis slowly is turning her insides into a machine.

Shalia grunts as a small amount of blood escapes from her beak. She glares at Crisis as she hits Crisis hard knocking her back. Crisis' hand slides out of Shalia's gut in the process.

"Its too late, I built a nano factory in your body and you will become mine from the inside..." says Crisis as Shalia jams her hand still in the gaping open wound in her body and rips out Crisis' work, tossing it off to the side. The outside of Shalia's hand turns into a machine for a few brief moments before the layers of metal break off and fall to the ground with a clunk, Shalia's gut wound sealing up and healing as if it never happened.

"Out... oh damn." Crisis finishes saying.

"As I said you have no idea who or what you are dealing with," says Crisis as sprints towards the nearest wall and bashes through it.

"It just be easier if they stayed and faced their doom," sighs Shalia as she runs after Crisis. Crisis looks behind her to see Shalia's body is steaming as her body quickly starts to dry. Crisis shakes off her wrists, attempting to air dry them as she thinks, "It won't be long till she can dry and use her abilities again," thinks Crisis as she manages to activate her electro-blades again to cut her way through a solid brick wall and jump down three stories to the ground. Her body lands hard on a car crushing it.

"Mistress Crisis what is going on? I hear sirens and news reports that some unknown being is fighting the empress," says the voice on Crisis' radio.

"Yes, she's far tougher than I'd realize but I have a plan, head to area 2A, and have a clear shot of area in 2B. When I give you the signal you know what to do."

"Understood," replies the other voice as Crisis moves her way down the street, running past felines and another anthropomorphic people who get out of the way of the machine as none want to get involved.

Shalia glides down from the hole in the wall that Crisis made, touching the ground with a light tap as police rush to Shalia.

"Empress are you okay?"

"I'm fine, watch but don't interfere with my fight."

"Of course Empress, but why?"

"Its not wise to question me. For it be a shame if a fine upstanding officer like yourself got demoted to crossing guard duty," she replies as she looks at the feline female officer.

"Of course Empress, my apologies," she replies.

"At least we have an understanding," she replies as she rushes off after Crisis towards a downtown district filled with various factories and industries. Shalia was easily able to keep hot on Crisis trail as Crisis escaped into a refrigeration facility.

Crisis stops in the center of facility where massive water cooling tanks, and other pressurized tanks are all over the facility. The area abandoned ahead of time thanks the police.

"So is the lizard done running and ready to end this one sided battle?" asks Shalia as she walks towards her.

"My thoughts exactly," replies Crisis as Shalia works up condensed red hot fireball the size of a watermelon.

"It was a fun chase, but I have better things to do," states Shalia as she prepares to throw the ball of fire at Crisis.

"Now," states Crisis as two large bangs are heard. Shalia turns her head and raises a wall of fire behind her, the bullet aimed for her head melts into a puddle and splatters to the ground at Shalia's feet.

"You think you could just shoot me? You misguided unfortunate soul, I was expecting something a bit better than that after having me chase you all this way," comments Shalia as she throws the fire ball at Crisis as she leaps to the side, the tip of her tail melts right off as the fire ball just grazes it.

"That was close," says Crisis as Shalia takes a step closer, as she forms five more of the same fireballs in half circle arch over her head.

"Before I end you, I should at least know my opponent's name. It be a shame if I couldn't regal others without it."

"Its Crisis, and you won't be regaling your tales to anyone anytime soon," chuckles Crisis as the water main over Shalia, the one that was damaged by the second bullet fired by Crisis' companion, breaks and a torrent of water is dumped onto Shalia.

Shalia glares at Crisis as her fireballs are sputtered out, Shalia lets out a long drawn out sigh as she says, "You think water is going to defeat me? You saw you are no match to me even in hand to hand, you are only delaying the inevitable."

"Am I now?" states Crisis as she activates her electro-blades and slices through a nearby tank of liquid nitrogen. The super cold liquid gushes out covering not only Crisis but Shalia as well. The water around Shalia instantly freezes as more water that pours down from the water main adds to the ever thickening layer of ice around Shalia's body. Crisis moves around Shalia and breaks two more nitrogen tanks, that gush their cold liquid around Shalia, incasing her in super cold frozen water. By the time the mist clears, Crisis body is sluggish and slow with a thick layer of frost and icicles around her green metal body. Crisis slowly breaks pieces off of her as Shalia is trapped under a foot thick of ice. Shalia's body is barely visible under the ice, more of a blur of yellow, red, white and brown than a clear figure.

"Nice work Sasha," says Crisis over the radio.

"Thank you Mistress, what do you intend to do now?"

"Get a team here quickly with a massive refrigeration that keeps this block of ice chilled to 100 Kelvin above absolute zero."

"What will you do then?" asks Sasha as Crisis walks up to the block of ice.

"Take my Shalia and Tyamet prizes home with me," Crisis says with a smirk as she runs a claw along the block of ice, "Let's see how you are able to stop my internal roboticization if I do it while you're frozen solid my dear Shalia," chuckles Crisis.
