Beneath the Obsidian Veil, Prologue
This is the prologue of an upcoming story! (Please point out any mistakes or feel free to make comments as I'm a new writer.) And yes, it's a gay story so yeah...I'll have warnings before each chapter if there's going to be any type of explicit material in them. I don't have a regular update schedule, so please excuse me if I don't update for a month or so. Otherwise, enjoy!
In a vibrant world where there's only chaos and sickness, there existed a dark-colored wolf named Nolan. His obsidian fur melded seamlessly with the shadows, concealing a secret that set him apart. Nolan possessed superhuman abilities, a gift of ancient magic coursing through his veins. But danger lurked in the shadows of this world. A malevolent group of spirits sought to extinguish Nolan's life, for they feared the power he possessed. Unbeknownst to Nolan, his extraordinary abilities made him a target, and the spirits would stop at nothing to ensure his demise.
Fear gripped Nolan's heart, for he sensed the malevolence that surrounded him. He knew that exposing his powers would only invite danger upon himself and those he held dear. And so, he chose to hide his extraordinary nature, mastering the art of blending in among the bustling streets of the modern city.
Nolan's brother, Sebastian, is unlike his brother in several ways. Sebastian is a wolf with a contrasting light-colored coat, shared his secret and the weight of the brother's peril. Together, they navigated a treacherous path, concealing Nolan's powers and relying on each other for strength and protection.
Every day, Nolan walked the city streets, concealing his true abilities beneath a facade of normalcy. The weight of his secret gnawed at him, for he yearned to wield his powers for good. Yet, the threat of the spirits loomed overhead, a constant reminder of the dangers that awaited. Deep down, however, a glimmer of hope burned within Nolan's soul. He knew that his powers were not meant to be hidden forever. They were a gift, a responsibility to be embraced. Nolan vowed to hone his abilities and protect those he cherished, even if it meant stepping into the perilous path laid before him.
And so, as Nolan navigated the vibrant furry world, determination echoed in his every step. He carried the weight of secrets and the hope for a brighter future--a future where his powers would be embraced, not feared. He would stand against the malevolent spirits, defending his realm from their wicked intentions.
