The life of a dragon [ToTK dragon TF]

Began writing this with 120 hours in the game but still not done, so if this makes no sense canonically, that's why. Zelda ---> dragon TF.

"Are you sure this is the only way?" Rauru asked, noticable anxiety in his voice as he looked down to zelda who was fiddling with her hair to calm her nerves.

"I'm afraid so. Even ignoring that it's the only way to heal the master sword, this is my only hope to be able to see link again, even if he won't be able to see me..." She said, and with a deep breath she opened the door and climbed the seemingly much too short stairs to the roof of the more primitive castle

Using the might of the triforce of wisdom, the Princess summoned a large ball of light from her hands and let it hang in the air beside her. " This is really it, My last moments as a human." She stepped into the light she'd created and swallowed her secret stone at the same time, hoping that with this, she could survive until her time. "Link... I only wish that you're not scared of me when we next meet."

For a few moments, Zelda wondered if she'd done it correctly, reaching around her body to feel for any changes, but sure enough she could eventually feel small nubs growing from her head which quickly grew into majestic, Buck-like horns. Shortly following that her hair quickly grew down to her waist.

Bringing her hands in front of her she could see her arms slowly turn white, before her skin changed to almost a combination of leather and crystals, a change that quickly effected most of her body. Zelda could feel fear and insecurity in the pit of her stomach.

She wondered if it was too late to go back as she felt small bright crystals grow along her back, but she thought of link and his quest and clenched her fists, at least until she felt them shrink down, her fingers becoming claws and the hands becoming darker.

"I'm doing this for Lin-- Li-- Graaawh!" She said, failing to finish her last sentence in english as her face lengthened into a maw, her tongue lengthening and her teeth getting sharper, rendering her incapable of anything but animalistic sounds.

The weirdest feeling so far was when she felt her butt begin to extend, growing and growing until she was sixtyfeet long, her Zonai style dress and plain white undergarments tearing as she grew and her legs shrinking the same way as her hands, leaving her incapable of grabbing or manipulating any objects. Controlling so much mass at once was difficult, and at first she could do little other than slither awkwardly on the ground, but as the transformations continued, it became easier to control her new form.

The hair on her back grew into her body, creating a mane of golden hair, and to compliment the new look she could feel rocks growing around her light crystals, which she craned her neck to see were golden as well.

'Why am I on the ground when i could be flying through the air? Why did I come down to begin with?' She thought as her eyes grew, becoming vibrant blue and purple with a gold trim reminiscent of eyeshadow. The former princess released a 'Craawh!' of surprise as she realized that she was already partway to losing who she was. Tapping a claw three times on the roof to signal that she was ready, she laid on the floor in wait.

A few minutes later, Rauru came up the stairs holding the master sword. He clearly looked uncomfortable and was unsure what to say, though after a minute of silence he approached her. "All that's left to do is place the master sword." He said, holding the handle with both hands and slowly sliding it into the yellow glowing spot on her head.

"Graawh..." She said, in a tone which Rauru interpreted as either fear or sadness. "It is important to remember that life as a dragon may be easier than before. No more worrying about Ganon, no fighting monsters. If you find yourself worrying you need do nothing but fly and forget what's troubling you." He said in an attempt at calming her, and from the more vacant look on her face it either worked or her mind had already become more draconian.

Still at least being able to feel embarrassment, Zelda quickly took to the skies and flew off, feeling awkward and embarrassed at being seen in her lumbering, eye catching new form. Unable to stop herself, she imagined link finding out that this is what she looked like now and was unable to avoid shedding a tear.

For uncountable centuries, the light dragon flew all around hyrule, blessing the lands below it and unknowlingly allowing its scales to fall to earth, helping lucky travellers below it. Every so often she would regain some of her memory and look around, wriggling oddly as she remembered just how odd her body was, and just as soon as she remmeered she'd go back to being a mostly mindless dragon.

On a day seemingly the same as any other, the Light Dragon was flying around hyrule when a strangely familiar blonde knight landed on her back, picking up a handful of crystals before resting his hands on the master sword sticking out of her head and beginning to pull.

Not having anyone touch her for millenia, combined with her repressed fears of link hating her had caused her to freak out when he began to pull on the sword. Thrashing and wriggling against him, they eventually ended up high above the clouds, and as link finally regained the master sword he reached down to pat her head.

Knowing the story behind the dragon, he couldn't help but feel pity for her partly due to his inability to help. After a few minutes of gentle affection Link knew he had to resume his journey and jumped off, paragliding towards the castle.

The light dragon that used to be Zelda felt an instinctive happiness happiness when she saw the gloom disappear from hyrule and the chasms begin to fill in. Almost enough happiness to outweigh how she felt when she spotted Link and Purah holding hands as they walked down hyrule field.

It was easier to forget about link when the other dragons seemed to show interest in her, however. After learning through experience that Dinraal was a male dragon, the two would occasionally have fun together. The best feeling of all was when Light Dragon realized that within a few months she would be doing her part in continuing the dragon race~.
