Welcome to the exciting world of Interstellar Species recognition and identification! This pamphlet is specifically tailored to give those experiencing their first trip off-world from the Terran Star-system an introduction to the most commonly encountered non-human sapient species that a human Terran civilian traveling outside the Terran Star-system to a distance within 1000 light-years may encounter their first time off-world.

Many of the species discussed herein have colony worlds within 15 light-years of the Terran Star-system and even have permanent settlements on Terra Prime and her only lunar body themselves! Many of the species discussed have long-standing trade and exchange programs with Terra, and enjoy positions and full-fledged citizen status within the Terran Space-Fleet and Terran Central Government itself going back as far as several generations or more. Many other sapient species have enjoyed the gracious hospitality of the Terran Star-system and welcome Terran humans to do the same on their own primary and colony worlds.

None of the species listed herein has a history of aggression or violence against Terran humans, keeping in mind that there are hundreds, if not thousands of humanoid "humans" scattered throughout the Milky Way galaxy that are not Terran humans. These humanoid variety of humans will not be listed within the confines of this guide, as many sub-species and associated species of many differing races will not be listed either to save time, space and confusion on the part of Terran tourists. When in doubt of someone's species, simply ask politely, or lacking direct interactions, seek the nearest Tourist Information Kiosk or Office of Interplanetary Cooperation.

Just as on Terra where there are a myriad of different species of plants and animals and many different races of human beings the galaxy is full of many, many trillions of species and breeds of plants, animals and sentient beings, not the least of which are the many thousands of sapient "morphic" species. Anthropomorphic species throughout the galaxy thrive in just as many numbers, abundance and complexity as on Terra herself, but please refrain from thinking our xeno-biological brethren are merely walking, talking animals, no matter how much they may resemble species found right on our own home-planet. This outmoded method of thinking is both insulting and de-"human"izing to other sapient species who are just as intelligent, just as rational and just as keenly emotional as your average Terran human. We've come a long way in the past 4 centuries to put an end to the differences between ourselves and the rest of the species of the galaxy and to make a home for ourselves amongst the stars where our morphic friends and families have made us feel welcome ever since!

We have worked as hard as possible to provide as accurate, up-to-date and concise information as possible on our listing of commonly encountered Interstellar species. However in a galaxy as large and fast-paced as ours, information, on the whole is a very fluid thing. As new species are being encountered and welcomed into the Milky Way family, we are working our hardest to include them in this informational guide.

Species Designation; T'kantis

  • Average Lifespan; 75-100 standard Terran years. Older documented subjects have been noted, but the average norm is as listed.

  • Average Height; 1.98 meters to 2.3 meters. Some subjects of upwards of 2.5 meters have been documented. T'kantis females tend toward being 1/3rd smaller than their male counterparts in an intriguing instance of sexual dimorphism but many T'kantis females are just as large as a T'kantis male.

  • Average Weight; 158kg to 220kg. Dependant on height, general health, extenuating circumstances and specific gravity involved.

  • Average Physique; Most T'kantis have tall, broad physiques with thick necks, wide shoulders, broad chests, wide hips, strong limbs and very large paws.

  • Average Coat Color; Most commonly T'kantis pelt colors range in the brown, from light to dark brown or gray, from light to dark and all shades in between. Some T'kantis have exhibited white pelts, red pelts or black pelts, though these particular shades are rarer and genetically specific. Most T'kantis have lighter coat contrasting on their torso/abdomen, their throats and sometimes their inner thighs. As a T'kantis ages their pelts will become tinged with silver, gray or white on their extremities or face, oftentimes both. Darker or lighter highlights to one's fur, markings, brindle or mottled coats are also found in the T'kantis species, dependant on genetics, but these striking coat colors are rarer than the norm.

  • Average Hair color; Most T'kantis have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Dependant on their coat color and genetic factors present the average T'kantis hair color runs from brown of all shades, into blonde, auburn, chestnut and less common black or red. As a T'kantis ages it is not unusual for their hair to turn shades of silver, white or gray.

  • Note; Long hair is considered unisex in T'kantis society, common to both males and females. Both genders consider long hair stylish and oftentimes will wear longer hair styles in long tails, braids or plaits sometimes ornamented with small jewels, beads or metal bands.

  • Average Eye Color; Most T'kantis have brown, yellow or green eyes of varying shade. Less common eye shades include blue, hazel, gray, silver or violet. Heterochromia is not a commonly found genetic trait in the T'kantis species, though it does occur in some hybrid births.

  • Most closely resembled Terran species; The mature T'kantis most closely resembles the Terran wolf in both physiology and temperament.

  • Common temperament; Most T'kantis are a reserved, proud culture, very dependent on a social, political and professional hierarchy. They can be seen as quiet, even distant while performing their required jobs or fulfilling their daily tasks. Your average T'kantis has a very strictly controlled separation of their home and private life and their professional or working environment. They are normally quiet, self-conscious and controlled even in a home or private setting, but are known for being warm, compassionate, caring and loving friends, companions, parents and very loyal, romantic and passionate lovers and mates.

-

  • Note; Most T'kantis males consider having sexual or reproductive relationships outside their own species or with human males and females slightly taboo. This is due primarily to medical and insurance concerns and the legal ramifications thereof stemming from the size difference between the mature T'kantis male and most other species. Considering the adventurous nature of having a romantic relationship between species of two vastly different sizes it is normally considered that the submissive partner have regular medical examinations and full health and accident insurance policies. Terran human males attempting to undertake a sexual relationship with mature female T'kantis are advised to do the same but are under no legal obligation to do so, at their own risk.

  • Species Designation; Vakari

  • Average lifespan; 90 - 110 standard Terran years. Older subjects have been documented but the average norm is as listed.

  • Average Height; 1.8 meters. This is the most common standard, shorter and taller subjects have been documented, but this is the listed norm.

  • Average Weight; 79.3kg. This is the normal standard weight for a Vakari of 1.8 meters tall. Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

  • Average Physique; Most Vakari have tall, evenly distributed physiques, with broad shoulders, slightly barrel chests, narrow waists, wide hips with strongly muscled thighs and long, supple limbs.

  • Average Coat Color; The average Vakari has a thick coat of pale to amber yellow fur with solid black spots that coat their dorsal pelt from their back hairline to their ankles, their arms and their legs normally with the exception of their inner thighs, torsos, abdomen and throats. Their tails normally have spots with a section of black banding at the tip. Their ears are coated in black fur. Vakari normally have a series of smaller, more delicate spots on their faces, akin to Terran human freckles with black markings beneath their eyes and on their muzzles. Vakari normally have lighter fur highlights of either cream or white on their throats, torsos, abdomen and inner thighs.

  • Average Hair Color; Most Vakari have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Dependant on their coat color and genetic factors present the average Vakari hair color runs from brown of all shades, more commonly blonde, with auburn, chestnut and in rarer instances red or black.

  • Note; Many Vakari are fond of using synthetic dyes in order to color their hairs shades of blue, green, red or purple not normally naturally found in their species. Long hair is considered a unisex trait in Vakari culture, so it is not unusual to see both males and females with hair of all lengths.

  • Average Eye Color; Most common eye-colors prevalent to Vakari are brown, blue and green. Less common eye shades are yellow, hazel, gray or violet. Many Vakari enjoy using synthetic cosmetics to change the shade of their eyes. Heterochromia while not a common trait found in Vakari is found in increasing frequency due to either synthetic cosmetics or hybrid breeding.

  • Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; The Vakari most closely resemble the Terran feline species the cheetah.

  • Most Common Temperament; Most Vakari are boisterous, carefree and energetic individuals. They enjoy loud, fast-paced entertainment, energetic stimulation and are somewhat hyperactive by nature. They are easily bored and prefer to be in an environment that continually stimulates or challenges them on an intellectual or mental level. Many Vakari are prone to claustrophobia especially in bland, boring or spartan environments. Most Vakari are friendly, outgoing, extroverted personalities, easily amused and easily befriended. As most Vakari are very Type A personalities they seldom need an excuse for frivolity, celebration, romance or other jocular activities and have a distinct love of Terran cuisine and alcohol. Vakari are loyal, protective friends, caring, attentive parents and extremely active, very caring, romantic and passionate lovers. As lovers and mates Vakari tend toward the adventurous and are energetic bedmates with seldom matched speed, stamina and a taste for multiple session matings. Those endeavoring to try mating a Vakari are advised to be medically healthy enough to maintain the necessary stamina and to be advised that their Vakari mates may not realize their bedroom manner may initially seem overly exuberant or brusque.

-

  • Note; As Vakari were one of the two species involved in first interstellar contact with Terran humans, (the other being the T'kantis), they have had the longest time available in which to assimilate Terran cultures and experience those cultures first-hand and in turn to be assimilated into Terran cultures. Vakari are so similar in temperament and physiology to Terran humans they need little by way of preparation or monitoring when it comes to Terran demeanor, cuisine, medical or cultural concerns. Vakari enjoy having human friends, co-workers and lovers almost more-so than any other sapient species thus-far encountered and as such have one of the highest immigrant numbers to Terra and Terran colony worlds. Though Vakari and Terrans cannot readily interbreed currently, many Terran families have "adopted" Vakari members and vice-versa.

  • Species Designation; J'ralan/J'rali (often used interchangeably)

  • Average Lifespan; 100-125 standard Terran years. Older subjects have been rarely documented, but the average norm is as listed.

  • Average Height; 1.8 meters. Both shorter and taller subjects have been documented, but as listed is the most average norm.

  • Average Weight; 72.5kg. This is the normal standard weight for a J'ralan of 1.8 meters tall. Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

  • Average Physique; Most average J'rali possess tall, lean physiques. They normally have slender throats, broad shoulders, wide chests, narrow waists and hips and long, lean limbs.

  • Average Coat Color; The average J'ralan has a pale yellow to mid-range amber yellow fur marked with large irregular mottled black spots extending across the dorsal planes of their pelts, limbs and tails. They normally have lighter, cream or white colored highlights on their bellies and inner thighs, sometimes extending to between the buttocks. Most usually have a pattern of more delicate, solid spots on their faces with black markings on their muzzles and ears.

  • Average Hair Color; Most J'rali have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Dependant on their coat color and genetic factors present the average J'ralan hair color runs from dark to light blonde, with lesser instances of medium brown and auburn hair colors. J'rali almost never have black hair and darker hair colors on a J'rali are unusual. Red is an extremely rare hair shade in J'rali and is viewed as very exotic to those naturally born with it.

  • Note; Long hair is considered unisex in J'ralan society, common to both males and females. Both genders consider long hair stylish and oftentimes will wear longer hair styles.

  • Average Eye Color; Most commonly J'rali have eye colors in the yellow, blue or green shades. Less common is brown, hazel, gray or violet. Heterochromia is more common in J'rali than in other feline species, more common in interspecies breeding than in inter-J'rali coupling.

-

    • Note; The average J'ralan has slitted pupils, but in instances of Terran human and J'rali interbreeding he offspring's pupils will be rounded like their Terran parent's. As a result of this genetic predominance the offspring will more commonly possess the Terran parent's eye color as well.
  • Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; J'rali most closely resemble the Terran feline species the leopard.

  • Most Common Temperament; Most J'rali are reserved, studious, contemplative individuals. Some J'rali can be quite aggressive when dealing with individuals with whom they are not familiar, but this is the exception rather than the rule. Most J'rali are friendly, open and welcoming while reserved with individuals with whom they are not familiar. This reservation can at times verge on almost archaic, as they never wish to be seen as poor hosts or ungracious visitors and will when they feel it necessary extend themselves almost to the limits of their personal comfort in order to not seem ungrateful or rude. Most J'rali seem shy or almost timid in some social situations, but this is because J'rali view friendship or love as not something to be trifled with. They make extremely loyal, dedicated friends who once they have become a part of someone's life are happy to stay there for the rest of their lives. J'rali are extremely protective, very caring and loving parents and it is not unusual for an entire extended family unit to have a hand in raising an offspring. It is not unusual for J'ralan to have multiple mates, whom they normally keep for life, normally one male, one female. The relationship between bonded male and female J'rali may seem almost superfluous as J'rali females only enter into estrus at most 3 times a year and normally do not cohabitate with their husbands in the same bedchamber, but they are loving, dedicated parents together and accept their husband's secondary mate normally unconditionally as a second father to their children. J'rali make for initially shy, almost apprehensive lovers, but once they trust your intentions they are caring, loving, romantic and in private just as boisterous mates as any other feline species. Despite their easy-going nature in the bedroom Terran humans are warned that biting is oftentimes an integral part of J'ralan foreplay and while it is not a serious expression of aggression accidents can occur.

  • Species Designation; Laslurian

  • Average Lifespan; 90 - 100 standard Terran years. Though older subjects have been documented, the average norm is as listed.

  • Average Height; 1.5 meters to 1.8 meters.

  • Average Weight; 56.5kg to 68kg. Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

  • Average Physique; Most Laslurians have very slender physiques. The average Laslurian has a slender throat, slightly wide shoulders, a flared chest, narrow waist, narrow hips and long, slender limbs.

  • Average Coat Color; The average Laslurian has a dense, thick coat of white to silver-white fur marked with large, irregular rosette black spots. These spots normally mark their dorsal pelt, including their arms, legs and tail. They normally have brightly white throats, torsos, abdomen and inner thighs, sometimes extending up between the buttocks. The Laslurian tail is thickly furred with an almost tufted tip ringed in black. They normally have a speckling of smaller, more delicate solid spots on their faces similar to Terran freckles and black markings on their muzzles and ears.

  • Average Hair Color; Most Laslurians have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Dependant on their coat color and genetic factors present the average Laslurian hair color runs from stark white to silver, gray and platinum blonde. Darker hair colors are unusual and rare in Laslurians and are almost never seen unless synthetically achieved.

  • Average Eye Color; Most Laslurians have eye colors of blue, green or violet. Less common colors include gray, hazel and silver. Almost never seen amongst Laslurians are yellow, brown or black eyes.

  • Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; The Laslurian most closely resemble the Terran feline species of the snow leopard.

  • Most Common Temperament; Most Laslurians are quiet, oftentimes shy individuals. The phrase "Still waters run deep" is appropriate to these rare felines. Laslurians are very intelligent, very creative felines, with a passion for contemplation, music, art, philosophy and other similar creative endeavors. Laslurians can be shy when first meeting individuals with which they are not familiar. They prefer to watch and contemplate before they act and may observe a person for weeks or months before offering their friendship. Laslurians do not enter into romantic relationships with anyone with whom they are not familiar, much to many species chagrin. Laslurian friendships are deep, long lasting, often as dedicated and loyal as a mate-ship would be. Laslurians are attentive, loving and often free-spirited parents, allowing their offspring to grow, learn and mature as much from the inside as the out, but they are always very protective of their offspring. Having a Laslurian lover is no small feat as they only enter into lasting relationships or mate-ships with individuals they implicitly trust. As such an affair with a Laslurian lover can be just torrent and passionate as any other feline, if not more so as they're willing to try anything at least once with their trusted companions and lovers.

-

    • Note; Laslurians are a relatively young species, having existed for less than 10,000 years. The Laslurian species is an offshoot of the J'ralan species and an unknown secondary feline species. They share many traits with their progenitor species, but as they are a young and rare race they are sadly prone to genetic difficulties, birth defects and congenital conditions, deafness and muteness amongst them. As such, there is on-going medical and genetic research into alleviating these problems with the Laslurian genome.
  • Species Designation; Metaran

  • Average Lifespan; 120 - 150 standard Terran years. Though older subjects have been documented, the average norm is as listed.

  • Average Height; 1.6 meters to 1.7 meters. Though taller subjects have been documented rarely, this is the standard norm.

  • Average Weight; 65kg to 70kg. Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

  • Average Physique; Most Metarans have short, slightly stocky physiques. Most Metarans have slightly broad shoulders, slightly broad chests, somewhat narrow waists, wide hips and strong thighs in addition to lean, well-proportioned limbs.

  • Average Coat Color; Most Metarans have striking, dense black pelts all over, highlighted with bright white markings on their torsos, abdomens, less frequently their throats, and often on their inner thighs, sometimes extending up into the cleft of the buttocks. Metarans have very large, bushy, fluffy long-haired tails of the same color of their pelts, with long, usually double stripes of white down the length of their tails, the striped marking of which then under normal circumstances continues up the Metaran's back to the base of their skull. Single stripes, triple stripes, broken stripes, no stripes and very, very rarely large white spots can also be found on some Metaran's tails and backs, depending on their family line and the genetics involved.

  • Average Hair Color; Metaran's have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Most Metarans have bright white hair that mimics the white of their fur patterns, but some Metarans can have bright platinum blonde or silvery-white hair. Darker hair shades are very unusual in the Metaran species, almost unknown unless synthetic dyes are utilized for their effect.

-

    • Note; Metarans have bright white hair normally, which becomes streaked with black as they get older, very rarely till their entire head of hair turns black. Long hair is considered unisex in Metaran society, common to both males and females. Both genders consider long hair stylish and oftentimes will wear longer hair styles
  • Average Eye Color; Most commonly seen eye colors amongst Metaran's tend to be green, blue and hazel. Less commonly seen eye colors are gray and violet. Almost never seen amongst Metaran's are brown or yellow eyes, although in rare cases of albinism pink or red eyes have been known to occur.

-Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; Metaran's most closely resemble Terran skunks.

-Most Common Temperament; Metaran's tend toward being initially shy, but quickly warming to people they get to know. They as a people tend toward being bubbly, affectionate, very open-minded and at times oversexed. Metaran's are friendly, welcoming and polite individuals, very loyal friends, if sometimes slightly eccentric in their personalities. Metaran's make very good inter-species intermediaries and dignitaries as their readiness to freely mingle with new species is a well known trait. As parents Metaran's can be eccentric, but good caregivers as well as very warm and protective. Metaran lovers can be subdued at first, preferring to familiarize themselves with their mates and lover's bodies and habits, but quickly warm into seductive, sensual mates and exuberant partners both inside and outside the bedroom. They're known for their high stamina and extraordinary pheromone and muscle control, making them intense and fulfilling lovers.

-Species Designation; Saelican

-Average Lifespan; 125 - 160 Standard Terran years. Older individuals have been documented, but the standard norm is as listed.

-Average Height; 1.5 - 1.6 meters.

-Average Weight; 45.5 - 56.8kg. . Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

-Average Physique; Most Saelican's have short, slender physiques. They tend toward delicate features, slender throats, narrow shoulders and waists with long, slender limbs and delicate paws and feet.

-Average Coat Color; Saelican's are known for an extraordinarily wide range of pelt colors and markings. Common coat colors can range through all shades of red and red-orange with black and white markings and highlights. Many Saelican's have white pelts with black markings or dark gray/almost black pelts with silver or white highlights. Another common pelt coloration is blue/silver with a wide range of highlights and markings.

-Average Hair Color; Saelican's have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Dependant on pelt coloration Saelican's have a wide variety of hair colors, ranging from white to black, with silver, all shades of red and silvery-blue being most common. Oddly enough almost no Saelican's have been known to have any shade of blonde or brown hair.

  • Note; Long hair is considered unisex in Saelican society, common to both males and females. Both genders consider long hair stylish and oftentimes will wear longer hair styles

-Average Eye Color; Saelican's most commonly have eye colors of blue, green, violet and gray or silver. Some rare individuals have been known to have black irises. Yellow and brown eyes are almost never seen amongst Saelican's.

-Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; Saelican's most closely resemble certain breeds of Terran foxes.

-Most Common Temperament; Saelican's are known to be one of the galaxies most outspoken pacifists. As Saelican's are naturally powerful telepaths and empaths they have an innate aversion to causing pain, discomfort or distress to any other sapient species. As their culture is extraordinarily open and honest and they lead long lives Saelican's make extremely loyal friends and companions. Those unfamiliar with telepathic species may find it initially difficult to express themselves in the presence of a Saelican companion, but individual Saelican's do value the independent and private thoughts of their friends and loved ones. Saelican's make extremely intuitive and doting parents, and while protective of their offspring they prefer to allow their kits to learn and explore the world around them on their own terms. Saelican lovers tend toward the subdued and sensual but are very intense with mates or companions of long periods. Saelican's bond with their chosen partner for life, and are not averse to accepting non-telepathic bond-mates, with whom they form a deep, mutual link of affection and caring. Saelican's take a single bond-mate for life, but are open to casual relationships with multiple partners and in instances of bonding with a non-telepathic species a Saelican must spend time in the company of another Saelican or similar psionic species companion or else there is a danger they can develop neuroses and even suffer adverse health from a lack of telepathic exposure for extended periods. Bonding relationships or even casual relationships with a Saelican can be intensely intimate and rewarding from the stand point of them being more aware of their partners and companions emotional states, needs or desires than most other species for obvious reasons.

-Species Designation; Corlitan

-Average Lifespan; 80 - 115 Standard Terran years. Older individuals have been documented, but the norm is as stated.

-Average Height; 1.5 - 1.6 meters.

-Average Weight; 59 - 65kg. . Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

-Average Physique; Corlitan's are normally possessed of a short, stocky, dense physique. They normally have broad, blunt features, broad shoulders, broad chests, with narrow waists and sturdy limbs.

-Average Coat Color; The average Corlitan has a mocha or medium brown pelt, verging almost on gray in some individuals, with black and white highlights on their ears, faces, torsos and abdomens as well as black gloving on their paws and feet, with long, thickly furred tails banded in black.

-Average Hair Color; Most Corlitan's have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Most Corlitans tend to have dark hair colors, ranging in the medium and dark browns and black most commonly. Corlitan's rarely have lighter hair colors, though their pelts and hair are known to silver with age.

-Average Eye Color; Most Corlitan's have dark eyes, usually ranging in the browns, black and green. A few rare Corlitan individuals have been known to have yellow eyes, but this trait is not common.

-Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; Corlitan's most closely resemble the Terran species of the raccoon.

-Average Temperament; Most Corlitan's have cheerful, busy temperaments. They can tend toward hyperactivity and are easily driven toward neurosis or melancholy without a sufficiently stimulating environment. Most Corlitan's have a propensity toward tactile and environmental stimulus, be it touching, movement, talking with their paws, ect. Most Corlitans are inveterate tinkerers, with a propensity toward mechanical devices and technology. Many Corlitan's have an eccentric streak, paired with their propensity toward constant motion and sometimes lack of tact when it comes to personal space boundaries and privacy can make for interesting friendships. Most Corlitan's are extroverts, engaging easily, though they can trend toward being clingy and dependant. Mature Corlitans make slightly scatterbrained, but loving and dutiful parents, but females of the Corlitan species have only one offspring at a time and refuse to bear additional offspring till their most recent has reached at least their 10th year of age. Corlitan's tend to approach intimacy and sex as they approach anything else in life, with an almost obsessional zeal that can be alarming to those not used to their blunt, straight-forward and at times frenetic disposition. With their propensity for hyperactivity the Corlitan tastes in a mate or lover can alter frequently, but they make up for this in their willingness to try new things.

-Species Designation; Lugosan

-Average Lifespan; 130 - 150 Standard Terran years. Older individuals have been documented, but the norm is as stated.

-Average Height; 1 - 1.2 meters.

-Average Weight; 40 - 50kg. . Depending on the health, height and specific gravity of the environment other weights are considered normal within a specified range.

-Average Physique; Lugosans have very short, very slight physiques. Their statures tend to be barely half that of a fully grown Terran Human, even when they are fully mature. They tend to have delicate features, with very long, normally drooping ears, slender throats, slightly broad chests, with narrow waists and hips with slender arms, but thick, strong legs and large, broad feet.

-Average Coat Color; Most Lugosans have soft, thick coats that are most commonly hues of brown, between mocha and medium brown, with some having blonde pelts. Some Lugosans have white or black pelts, with gray being a less commonly found coat color. Lugosans can have a range of highlights and markings as well as their normal pelt colorations.

-Average Hair color; Most Lugosans have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Most Lugosans have blonde, brown or black hair of varying shades.

-Average Eye Color; Most common eye colors for Lugosans tend to be varying shades of brown, green and blue. Less commonly some Lugosans have violet eyes.

-Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; Lugosans most commonly resemble certain species of Terran rabbits.

-Average Temperament; Most Lugosans are shy, quiet individuals. They tend toward pensive, but have sweet, if sometimes seemingly naïve personalities. Understandably some Lugosans can be leery of larger species or species predatory by nature. Some Terran humans can find the size discrepancy between Lugosans and other species to be unsettling at times, which Lugosans themselves find amusing as they themselves mature very quickly when paired with their extensive life-spans. Lugosans tend toward multiple partner mate-ships, which can result in very large extended families, often including dozens of offspring. Despite the numbers of offspring that can result in their partnerships Lugosans make very devoted parents, making the best of the brief periods till their own offspring mature into parents themselves. Lugosans are fond of humans as companions and lovers, finding the differences in size more an amusing source of variety and application of problem solving skills than an obstacle. As they make very sweet natured companions, Lugosans make for very even-tempered, amiable and very affectionate lovers. Their shy, subtle nature translating well to the bedroom, where they can be just as eager and prodigious breeders as their reputation lets on.

-Species Designation; K'han

-Average Lifespan; 90 - 120 Standard Terran years. Older Individuals have been documented, but the norm is as stated.

-Average Height; 2.1 - 2.2 meters.

-Average Weight; 182 - 215kg

-Average Physique; Most K'han have very tall, very dense, broad physiques, with well defined musculature, trending toward heavy, broad, blunt features, thick necks and shoulders, broad chests, narrow waists and very strong, muscular limbs.

-Average Coat Color; Most K'han have bright reddish-orange coats, with heavy black striping over both front and back of their pelt from their necks to their feet, with the exception of large swaths of white or cream colored fur down the front of their bodies from their throats down to the insides of their thighs. Their faces, ears and tails are also marked in black, with striping on their tails and faces. Some K'han of more exotic breeding have pelts of pure white with the black striping.

-Average Hair Color; Most K'han have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". K'hans normally have substantial manes of black, red or blonde hair. White pelted K'han normally have white or platinum blonde hair.

-Average Eye Color; Most K'han have green, blue or yellow eyes. White pelted K'han most commonly have blue eyes, but there have been instances of violet eyes with heterochromia being quite common amongst those with white pelts.

-Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; K'han most closely resemble the Terran feline species of tigers.

-Average Temperament; Compared to most of the other, smaller feline species K'han can be seen as more reserved and more fierce and dominating in personality. While they are not belligerent or combative in nature they can be seen as more forceful and aggressive to those with whom they are not familiar. K'han males can be very dominating toward those whom they have just met in an attempt to judge the demeanor of their new acquaintance. K'han can have a vain, arrogant streak, which can tend to dominate their personalities, but those patient enough or with a strong enough personality can find K'han to be amongst the most fiercely loyal companions. K'han males and females bond for life, but seldom cohabitate directly, raising their offspring together as very devoted partners. To one adventurous enough to seek a K'han as a partner or lover patience or strength of personality is key. K'han are not easily won over and seldom engage in casual relationships with species they consider to be "weaker" or more submissive, but if one is persistent enough to win one over they should be prepared. Both K'han males and females are larger, stronger and more sexually aggressive than a smaller feline lover. As with their dominance of personality K'han can be very sexually dominant, making for an intense partnership. As with other, similar larger species one should be aware of the potential risks involved in the form of scratches, bite marks, sprains, strains, bruises and the potential for broken bones. Proper medical clearance and insurance should always be maintained in these instances.

-Species Designation; Shadai-Shar

-Average Lifespan; 115 - 135 Standard Terran years. Older individuals have been documented, but the norm is as stated.

-Average Height; 1.5 - 1.6 meters.

-Average Weight; 52.3 - 59kg

-Average Physique; Shadai-Shar normally have short, lean, exceedingly limber physiques, with sleek, slender features, torsos that are proportionately longer in their species than any similar species' of the same general size and build and slightly short, but very lean limbs.

-Average Coat Color; Most Shadai-Shar have short, dense pelts of chocolate, mocha or chestnut brown or black. Most have highlights or markings in black, or in white on black pelts, with black gloving on paws and feet and at the end of their short tails.

-Average Hair color; Most Shadai-Shar have differentiated fur on the tops of their skulls, which is essentially longer growing fur in regards to what a Terran human would consider "hair". Most Shadai-Shar have dark brown, dark red or black hair. Lighter hair colors are very rare amongst them

-Average Eye Color; Most Shadai-Shar have brown, yellow, green or silver eyes. Most other eye colors are rare amongst them.

-Most Closely Resembled Terran Species; Shadai-Shar most closely resemble the Terran species of Pine Marten or other similar mustelid species.

-Average Temperament; Shadai-Shar are somewhat reclusive and shy as a people. Their introverted nature stems from their tenets as personal finance, profit and a strict code of ethics and honor in treatment of those from other races and species as well as those they would consider "customers". Their culture is based upon business, trade, commerce and the exchange of ideas and material goods being the basis for any races relationships to one another. Most Shadai-Shar seek to maintain a stoic, collected and respectful attitude toward those from other species and the only way to really get to know a Shadai-Shar on a personal level is to do business with them on a regular basis. Only then will someone be allowed to see their true personality. Very little is known about the partnerships between Shadai-Shar males and females, but they are known to be attentive, if somewhat detached parents. Shadai-Shar treat romance or sex as they would any other business, as a strictly defined exchange between two private parties. As such it is difficult to get close enough to a Shadai-Shar to truly consider oneself a "mate-ship" without patience, a great deal of self confidence and a well diversified investment portfolio.
