I can't begin to explain to you what I'm going through, the problems, and results of what was done to me. It started when I woke that morning the fifth of the month, some time when the weather shifted into the colder part of the year.

The facility I was brought to, one of dark sinister nature that reflected into my golden eyes. I felt queasy, my stomach wretched, my fur bristled in the darkness of my steely prison. The scent of the day plagued my nostrils, the smell of chemicals and serums; the natural gas burners and the burned paper and melted plastic. The toxic sweet smell brought me to my senses.

From where I sat, in the pitch black darkness enveloped the room like a vice-grip. My heart pattered like a mix-matched canter of a long lost drum corp. I purred to keep myself sane, to keep me aware of where I was, to comfort me. What was going to happen to me? I wasn't sure, but I knew that the scent of death, close to me, watching me. I slinked across the floor of my cage and was greatful that I could see out into the lab.

My eyes twitched, I could hear footsteps outside, approaching, my ears rotated like satellite dishes, focusing the sound. They were coming...

Slowly, I moved into the back of my cage, trying to make it as difficult as I could, I knew what they were wanting.

The door opened, the lights snapped on, the light burning my eyes like staring into the sun. They were approaching again, closer, talking about me. Lab Animal 03-A-039, which meant I was the 39th for this test. My heart pounded hard against my chest, like it was trying to escape.

They approached my cage, opened it, and reached inside for me with leather-protected hands. I hissed, fur bristled; claws extended, I lashed out, claws rendered useless against the leather hide.

The hands grabbed be around my middle and dragged me out of my cage. I struggled, but the power of the human was incredible, I was powerless, I was in their mercy. The human, a female, blonde hair and pimple-pitted face carried me to the table. The other human, a male held a syringe filled with blue liquid. She sat me down, well, forced me down and held me as the male grabbed a hunk of fur from behind my neck and plunged the syringe into my flesh.

Howling, I tried to escape, useless, why did I think it would be easy? I was shocked at what they did to me, and it was shocking to the least, from what I could see in the reflection of myself in the beaker. My Orange and yellow striped fur was dingy and faded and appeared rough compared to it's normal soft and reflective lustre, my fur, my prized possession, now something that I wasn't going to let them have.

The Human continued her pressure on my body, forcing me to remain still; it felt like a ton of bricks. My eyes dilated and my head started to swim with comatose grandeur, sparkles of light, colourful and bright. The sounds of the machines and the Humans wavered in and out, faded; never to be heard again.

Sometime later, I awoke to my cage and I wasn't sure how I got there, perhaps the Humans returned me there when my world went dark? I wouldn't know but my time here in the lab and the serums, something about them increased my learning capacity, I could read, listen to their speech, understand...

The rattling of the lock followed by footsteps meant the Humans were entering the Lab again, their scents racked with liquor, their speech slurred with drink, I knew this was going to be my opportunity. One spoke to the other, "Get 03-A-039, and prepare him for dissection, we need to see if there are any malignant changes to vital organs."

I had no choice, it was now or I would die in a hellish place like this. When the other Human nodded in compliance and preceded to my cage, I backed up, my rump against the cold steel cage. He unfastened the latch and stuck his hand in as I lunged forward, slashing at his hand with my claws, as I descended to the floor. In a fury, I bolted for the nearest exit, an exhaust vent. My paws silently pounded the floor and provided great traction on the vinyl flooring. The Humans panicked and raised an alarm as I slid into the vent and shoved against the screen and began ascending the slight incline and out the into the pitch darkness of the outside. I continued to run as fast as my legs would allow, gaining distance from the facility.

Minutes passed before my path was crossed by chain-link fence. I looked for a hole underneath, but when none was found, I climbed the fence, throwing myself over the top. I landed in a heap, the fall sent a wave of pain through my body and I couldn't move for a moment as I tried to regain movement.

Light suddenly filled the area, the Humans were looking for me, I was their pet, their play thing. The instant I could move again I was off. Pain kept me from moving again, I lost all movement as my body froze and with a quick motion, like super chilled liquid hitting the warm air; quick and sudden. My body began to shake violently as I could start to feel bones break and muscle tear. My mouth opened to cry out, but only blood escaped my mouth. My spine slowly snapped, I could feel everything, the pain and the waves of electrical impulses arching through my nervous system. In a matter of moments, my body morphed into a canine.

The Humans perfected a serum that changed my DNA and altered me into a species that hunted us. Those Bastards would pay.
