#2 of Stories that should never see the light of day!

The holidays were becoming colder every year. Of course, though, the city's winter season always brought temperatures from the usual high twenties to the bone chilling negative fifty's. Though Paris was surely a beautiful sight to see even on the top of the high one hundred floor apartment buildings, but Kirk didn't focus on the height. He mainly looked out at the city's lights of golden love, caressing the night's dark atmosphere into a warm light that made his mouth twitch into a smirk. He loved cities, though he hated most of the people in it. The city was supposed to be for love, not hate or violence or crimes. Some people always had to look the other way at the law and take advantage of it's beauty. The cops are sworn to protect us from those people, but many are just useless.

So Kirk stepped in. The grey Snow Leopard stood with his feet softly into the powdery snow, his golden eyes staring blissfully out into the beautiful jungle of Paris and letting the last few seconds of his time to obsorb this much beauty. The air was bitter but not too strong to push him over, it made his eyes dry to a point that they burned the corners, forcing him to blink hard and still seeing the city even though his eyes were closed. Christmas trees were plastered all over the city, everywhere he turned his head there was a multicolored tree in every window. It made his love for christmas build up like as if he was a little cub again, sitting infront of the christmas tree with big eyes staring up at the bright colorful tree that made him smile and smug. The angle was te best part, though, her golden glow made the dark room around him glow bright as a star, he could stare at that angle all night. Until his mother would tell him to go to bed, of course.

"December first," A familiar voice from behind him ruined the moment. Kirk let his gaze fall down below his feet and at the ground one hundred floors under him, letting the person finish up, "Mark Kewlona, dead by stab wound to the heart. December second, Jarred Pashko, dead by stab precision shot to the head by a long distance crossbow. December third, Colton Howler, dead by poisoning from his drink. Though, this year they are all serial rapists. Every year, everyday on December until the twenty fifth someone dies." The mans voice was starting to have a hint of agony and exhaustion, though Kirk could understand why. "Why do you keep doing this, Kirk?"

The Leopard had to admit, Detective Keith had not given up on Kirk for five years and still to this day has a problem catching him. Kirk could only smirked and turn his head back to the skinny otter behind him, those bags under his eyes made the Leopard feel bad a little for causing this for him, but it's his fault for not sleeping much on this month only. His tail twitched like it always did when they were in the presence of one another, it made Kirk smirk more, his golden eyes boring into the those dark brown ones. It made Detective Keith look away and heave a breath harshly, a foggy cloud formulating in front of his face.

"Damnit Kirk, talk to me!" He was getting frusterated, Kirk could tell by the way he shut his eyes tightly and clenched his hands into fists. The sounds of sirens followed into the next gust of wind, sending snowflakes brushing over his body like cold pin needles.

"You dispatched the cops again." Kirk spoke finally, his voice calm and quiet, "But yet, they always get the message in every ten minutes you call it in."

"I had to take an elevator to get up here, and it's christmas eve, Kirk, some of the cops are usually delivering their childrens gifts under the tree by now." The otter responded cooly, trying not to shiver his voice at the cold air around him.

"Or you just want to some time with me before they get here..."

Detective Keith flinched and looked away immediatly. His body shivered finally from the cold and just stepped back a little, but Kirk took a few steps slowly forward. "S-stop..." Detective Keith studdered and felt like he was frozen on the spot. "S-sto--"

Kirk grabbed the otters wrist and pulled him, "Stop talking," He said afterward, pressing his mouth to those sweet otter's. The moment never felt cold to the two anymore, and the world around them seemed to feel as if they were bursting with bright light from fireworks, but that was probably their imagination. The Otter resisted at first, like he always did, but then immediatly gave into the kiss and responded by wrapping his arms around the Leopards neck, pressing his body into the warmth of the other's and letting his tounge be explored by the curious and familiar Leopard. The kiss felt like hours but it was only seconds in reality when the sounds of footsteps behind them were becoming louder. The cops were here already and quicker than last year.

Kirk pulled their lips apart, small saliva cords connecting their lips still in a bond until it split in half. "Gotta' go...." He said, releasing the otter slowly.

"I hate you.." Detective Keith responded quickly, his brown eyes glaring at his feet as if he was trying to focus on them,

"I know, Joseph." When Joseph looked up into the sky, Kirk used that opportunity to step back a few steps and stand at the edge of the building, "Merry Christmas." When he looked back, all he saw was Kirk fall backwards and into the darkness of the night.
