Two Grumps At Pride

, , , ,

Sissel and Philip take some convincing to celebrate pride month.

"Do we have to?" Sissel asked.

"C'mon, it'll be fun!" Jinny responded.

"I'm with Sissel on this one" Philip chimed in, "I have things to do, duties to fulfill."

"Philip, this is one day out of a whole month" Owen said, atypically serious, "You can do that stuff later."

"Yeah, let's just look around and see what we can do" Euca suggested.

Sissel and Philip sighed.

Pride wasn't far from Gerania; rather, a somewhat mixed periphery of stands and rainbow decorations stood between it and the main parade. Begurdingly, Sissel bought a gay pin and Philip a demi flag, waving it boredly.

"Oh come on, how can you be bored with a rainbow!?" Euca asked increduously.

"I just can, okay?" Sissel replied.

For that, Euca booped him on his nose. Sissel made a weird sound, between a whine and a sigh. Owen meanwhile was flirting with pretty much every stand owner, and Jinny bought herself some questionable rainbow coloured candy canes.

Philip took a moment to look at his flag, the whites and blacks and purples so unlike his own yellow and orange fur. He sort of liked the simplicity of that. He couldn't for the life of him understand why those colors had been chosen, but the designer had made a statement, artistically weaving colors together.

That, at least, brought a smile to his face.

"You're smiling!" Euca teased.

"No I'm not!" Sissel denied.

They were at the main event, floats moving at the center of a crowd of people of all types. There was so much happiness and joy, it was contagious. Sissel just couldn't resist.

The fact that Owen fucked off to somewhere else and Jinny wasn't there to tease him probably also helped.

The gang was spread across the event, having decided to just enjoy the day and rendezvous back at Gerania. Philip, surprisingly, had not yet retired from the festivities, and followed just behind them, a pleasant expression on his face.

"Fine" Sissel admitted, "Maybe I just like the ambiance."

"Would you care to repeat it?" Euca said, kissing his cheek.

"Don't push it" Sissel and Philip both said.

Euca rolled his eyes. They were grumps, but he knew for sure they'd be back next day.
