When the world came into focus again, Kalan was shocked at what he saw. He was in a room. He thought he would end up lying on the earth. Not a bed. He sits up and looks around. "Where am I?" A teenager walked over from the left side of the room.

"Oh! It's awake and it speaks." Kalan stares at the teenager.

"Where am I?" A heavy set man walked over from the wall the teenager had come from.

"You are in the kingdom of Sharmanafa." He turns to face the heavyset man staring deeply into his eyes, only to find hatred there.

"And who might you be?" He stares back, hatred in check, unable to hide the disgust he felt.

"I am Sir Farcon da Armaga." Kalan sat up and thought to myself Ok! Just a little resentment there. The man looked to the teenager.

"Nurse. Help the poor boy." The teenager stepped forward and helped him out of the bed.

"Yes sir." Kalan brushes the offered hand away and gets himself out of the bed. "No, no. I'm fine." Kalan walks over to the window. As he stares out he noticed that there were armoured guards walking around the building he was in. Farcon walked over to his side.

"Well at least let me introduce my squire." Kalan turns to face him.

"Oh, all right. Where is your squire?" He asked turning to face them. Farcon stood aside.

"Come here squire." An average size girl stepped up to Farcon's side; she came into the room from a side entrance Kalan didn't notice. He bows to her while keeping eye contact at the same time.

"Why hello miss. What is your name?" The girl returns the bow, timidly.

"My name is Sahara do Mardina." Kalan turns to Farcon, glaring at him, urging him to say the wrong thing.

"Has any one seen to Selena?" Farcon broke eye contact, clearly unsettled.

"Oh! Your wife?" He continues to stare at him.

"No! She is not my wife. She is my friend. She would have been lying at my side or near me." Farcon looked completely away.

"She's down the hall, to the left. My squire will show you the way." His squire walked out the door.

"Right this way." Kalan follows her out of the room and down the hall till she stopped. When they reach the room Selena was housed Kalan turns to Sahara.

"You may go now. Unless you wish to meet Selena."

"No sir. I will have to get my lord's permission." She said quickly. He looks to the ground.

"Please just call me Kalan." She watches as he turns his back to her and walks into the room.

"Yes si... I mean Kalan." As he walked in Selena sat up in the bed she was in.

"Oh Kalan,it's you." Kalan looks around and smiles.

"Who else would it be, no one knows who we are." As he walks to her, he notices she was still dazed. When he reaches her side he stands there and looks at the serving women. They got up and left. He watches as the serving women left.

"I think they're keeping us prisoner." She looks to the chair next to her. "Please sit? It hurts to stare up at you." Kalan slumps exhausted into the chair.

"Do you remember what just happened?" She looks over to the door.

"Yeah, we were falling and this strange haze appeared below us." He looks at the window in the room. She turns to face him. "How are we still alive?" He rubs his muzzle.

"Not sure." She nods, accepting it as finality. "Want to find out if they intend to keep us as prisoners or not?" Selena nods. They walk to the door. When they got there Kalan places his hand on the handle to turn it, when it opens by itself. Farcon's squire standing there waiting. She stands aside allowing them out. They step out the doorway into the hall. She bows to them as they walk out.

"Lord Kalan. Lord Farcon wishes to see you. Lady." He stares down the hall.

"Please just call me Kalan. And the lady over there is called Selena. We're only twenty and not used to been called lord or lady." She looks to see what he was looking at.

"Yes sir." Kalan shakes his head.

"No, not sir. Just Kalan. Now where does Lord Farcon wish to see us?" Selena looks at Sahara, trying to figure the girl out.

"What does he want us for any way?" Kalan turns to face Selena.

"About how we got here I'd guess." Sahara stepped in between them.

"Yes, I think that is it. I was ordered to take you to the library." He looks at her, thinking.

"Could you please show us to a courtyard? I may wish to speak to your lord myself." She turned to him and smiles.

"Certainly, Kalan. May I ask why?" Kalan looks over to Selena for support.

"Let's just say I don't like surprises." They start to walk down the corridor. As they walk down the corridor, Kalan couldn't help, but notice all the tapestries hanging from the walls. "This place is nice." Sahara started to giggle.

"I know. I had the exact same look on my face when I first came here." Kalan turns to glare at her but says nothing. They walk down the hall in silence. Passing armoured soldiers at almost every door. Taking corners again and again. When they had turned the fourth corner, they came upon a massive courtyard. Kalan had never seen so many colours in his life. In the centre, stood a massive statue of granite, it looked like a soldier attacking a dragon with a lance, centred in a circular garden at the centre of the courtyard. All around it, there were dwarfed trees. He could see oak, willow, maple and ash. At the trunk of each tree, was a small ground covering plants. From the edge of the circular garden, there was a path, which ran both ways around it. It ended where his feet where. Each corner had its own, separate water feature. Surrounding each water feature was plants and small statues. To each side of the centre garden, was a bench. Behind each bench was a table. Both bench and table were made of maple. Sahara pointed to the left hand table. "Please take a seat there; I'll go get sir Farcon." Then she walks off, leaving them to their own devices. They walk around the garden for a bit then sit down at the table.

Both of them thinking about things that only matter to them. They waited for a few minutes before they saw Sir Farcon walk through the east walkway, closely followed by Sahara. "So, you chose the courtyard over the library. May I ask why?" Kalan watches him carefully, suspicious of tricks and plots. "Sure. I hate enclosed areas. I have a great dislike for nasty surprises too." Selena noticed what he was doing.

"What kind of guest would we be if we had to inconvenience the host? Anyway, I hate being enclosed by shelves. It is a form of claustrophobia." Farcon hesitated.

"You both push good points of views." Kalan looks around at the garden.

"Now I wish to know why we are being watched by no less then thirteen guards." He looked to his supporters for help.

"There's no beating around the bush with you is there? No I don't think so. We are doing for your safety. We never have had one of your kind, in our lands." He looks at Farcon unfazed.

"Yes. Okay, that still doesn't answer why we are being followed like prisoners on death row." Selena placed her hand on his back.

"Calm, please." Kalan shakes his head. Farcon faces him.

"What are you? How can you know the exact number of watchers?" Kalan smiles.

"I am a werewolf, as they say where I come from. I heard and smelled each of your watchers. That and they weren't really that hidden. You know walking in full body amour creates quite a racket." Farcon pales.

"Well then, I suppose you won't need their protection." He rolls his hand around in the air.

"So what did you call us for?" Selena asked.

"We were hoping you'd be able to tell us how you got here." Sahara answers. Kalan step towards her.

"Why? We don't even know ourselves." Selena places a hand on his chest, he takes a step back. Sahara stands tall, unfazed.

"Well we hoped you would." Selena shakes her head.

"If that is all then we are leaving." Kalan turns and starts to walk after her. Farcon steps in front of him.

"You're not a man; you're a mouse, to think you let that woman walk all over you..." Kalan just stops, grabs the man by his collar and waistband and throws him into a rose bush.

"You are the mouse, to think women are below you." He turns and follows Selena.

When they got back to the room Selena was resting in, Kalan went and sat on the bed, placing his head in his paws. "What are we going to do?" Selena walks up to him and places a hand on his back, rubbing it through the fur.

"So soft." She whispers. Kalan turns to face her.

"What was that?" She shakes her head.

"Never mind." He faces her.

"If you say so." He turns his head around and scans the room. He notices a panel stuck to the wall. "I wonder what is behind that." He asks out loud. Selena looks around the room.

"Behind what?" He points the panel out to her.

"Don't you see that panel there?" She walks over to the section of wall he was pointing to. She runs her hand over the wall. She gasps.

"You're right. There is a panel here." He shakes his head. He stands and walks over to the closet. He opens it and lets out a surprised bark. "What, what have you found?" Selena asked. He stares into the closet.

"Did you check this when you woke?" She stares at him.

"It was empty why?" He shakes his head.

"Well, it's full now. Amour and weapons." He reaches in and takes out a chest plate. He holds it in his hands and runs his claws all over it. The metal lets off a slight chime, but it doesn't scratch. "Hmm. I wonder what the metal is." Selena looks up at him.

"You say something?" Kalan starts.

"Huh? Sorry no." She stares at him.

"You sure?" He nods in reply. She shakes her head and turns away. He places the chest plate onto the bed and pulled out the arm guards and gauntlets. He places them next to the chest plate. Behind these was a tunic, pants and a shirt. Who put these here? He thinks to himself as he removes the last of the amour. This included a chain mail shirt and pants, gamberson and pants, groin guard, armoured belt, shin and thigh guards. Selena turns as he draws out the weapons. "Oh, I'm so taking the crossbow." He throws it to her and places the staff next to the amour. Selena walks over to the closet. "What no armour for me?" Kalan shakes his head and points to the bag behind the door. She giggles with glee as she runs to the bag. "How did they know my size? This looks like a perfect fit." He shrugs and laughs.

"Wouldn't have the slightest." She glares at him and throws the bag at him. "Hey what did I say?" She shakes her head.

"If you have to ask..." He lets out an exasperated sigh.

"Argh. Why must you be so confusing?" She laughs and gets up, walks over and takes the bag from his head.

"Wouldn't you like to know?" He stares at her confused. She laughs and walks back to her pile of equipment. She kneels down and picks it up, carrying it to the bed. Placing it on the bed she turns to Kalan. "Well you gonna help me into this?" He stares at her for a minute, blushing under his fur.

"You sure? I thought you might have wanted a woman to help you into that." She stares at him.

"Uh, what are you talking about?" He turns away.

"You know that to help you into that stuff, I have to place my hands on your body, all over your body." She stares at him, dumbfounded. Taking a few seconds to let it sink in.

"OOOHHH. You think I would be offended if you did that. To be honest with you, I'd prefer it if you did. I don't trust these people." He looks towards her, surprise clear on his face. He was surprised that she would get what he was talking about straight away. He shakes his head, but remains silent. She walks over to him and dumps the armour into his arms, walking away after doing so.

"What, give me time to answer." She turns to him and smiles.

"Now where would the fun be in that?" He sighs holding the bundle of armour, shaking his head.

"Come here then." She walks across the room to him. She kneels down with her back to him. "Arms up." He commands, pulling the cotton underlay out. She looks back and tilts her head.

"Huh? Wha?" He laughs.

"I can't put the undergarments on if you have your arms by you side, now can I?" She looked at him, shock clear on her face. "Oh. No not that." He quickly amends. She sighs, raising her arm. Once raised he slips the cotton underlay's on, first the shirt, then he allowed her to put the pants on.

"Ah, why exactly do we put these cotton clothes on?" He laughs and smiles.

"In your case, to prevent the chainmail from rubbing your skin raw, in my case, to prevent my fur getting caught in the links." She smiles and nods. He picks up the chainmail shirt. "Arms." He slides the shirt on after she raised her arms. She then belted the chainmail shirt and raised it at waist height to prevent dragging weight. He pulled the breast plate from the pile. He holds it in front of her. "You'll have to hold this half whilst I place the second half on." He holds the breast plate to her chest, once she had it in her hands he let go and picked up the back half. He lifted it and placed it on her back, lining up the clasps. Once lined up he reached across and pulled the belt through the loops and pulled them tight. Once locked he pulled out the pauldrons from the pile. He locks them into place on each of her shoulders. While he was doing this Selena was strapping the shin and thigh armour on. "Not much left, just the helmet, mask, boots and gauntlets." She turns to the remaining armour.

"Well you gonna help or not?" He looks to her and laughs.

"You don't need my help." He turns and walks back to his pile.

After a few minutes he had all the pieces of armour on except for the chest plate and pauldrons. "You'll have to help with the chest plate." She stands and walks to him, carrying the back plate. She places it on his back, minding his tail, reaching under his arms and pulls the straps tight.

"Hey how come yours has armour for the arms, and mine doesn't?" She asked him suddenly. He turns to her shocked.

"Cause your an archer, you need full movement of your arms." She stares at him, unsure how to take it. He just laughs and walks off. The helmet restricting his view. The muzzle guard cumbersome, so he removed them and placed them aside. He holds the staff in front of him staring at the grain structure. He felt himself starting to fall, Selena rush to him and catches him.

"Kalan, Kalan, what is it?" He stares at her, unable to recognise his friend.

"Huh? Wha's happening?" He looked around, not recognising anything. He started to feel his head spin. He felt like he was falling even though he was standing. He fell forward, crashing to the ground unable to move, breathe or think. Slowly the darkness of unconsciousness crept up upon him.

Kalan opened his eyes slowly, taking a few minutes to clear his head. "Wha, happened?" Selena jumped up from the chair she was sleeping on.

"You're awake." She rushed over to his bed. The door opens and a girl walks in. He took a few moments to recognise her.

"You're Sahara, but what are you doing here?" She smiled and laughed.

"So you remember me. Good we were worried that you might have some slight memory loss." He stared at her, then at Selena.

"How long?" Selena turns away.

"About three days." He stares at her. Shakes his head and tries to clear it. He couldn't work out how he could pass out for so long.

"You where poisoned." Sahara supplied, breaking his train of thought.

"What with?" He turned and faced Sahara. She stood her ground.

"With talik. It's a poison created by the throntu snake. The amount you where hit with was enough to kill three fully grown men." Selena gasps and stares at Sahara. Selena stands and walks to the door.

"If that was so how am I still alive?" Kalan asks as he tries to rise, falling back down in the attempt. Selena rushes over and pushes him back down. "Hey." He stares at her. "What are you doing?" She smiles at him and holds him down.

"Stopping you from being stupid." He stares up at her, shocked. She just smiled and kept her hand where it was. "Your still weak and need time to recover." Sahara said from the door. He turns to face her, but she only shakes her head. He lays his head back down and stares at the ceiling.

"How long?" They both stare at him. It takes then a few minutes but it soon kicks.

"Ohh. A few days. Then you'll be running around again." Sahara said quickly. He starts and finds himself sitting up in the bed. Selena walks over and pushes him down. He tries to shake her off, but he was too weak to resist. He let himself be pushed back down into the bed. He lay there till they had left the room. Once gone he sprang to his feet and paced around. He kept running the past event through his head. As he paced he eventually noticed his armour. It was just sitting on the end of his bed. As he started he wondered how it got there and how he had not kicked it off. As he stared the girls walked back into the room. They stood where they were waiting for him to notice. He stood there a few minutes more, not noticing the glares he was getting. He walked over and picked up the armour and puts it on. "Not all of us are built to listen to every instruction." He smiles and turns to face them. Though on his muzzle it was more like a snarl. Once armoured he walked towards the door. The girls stand in his path. He stops his forward motion and laughs. "So now you're gonna keep me in here are you?" He steps forward, but they refuse to move. As he stands there, he starts to feel slightly agitated. All he wanted was to go for a run. He wanted to feel the wind through his fur. He takes a second step forward, then another and another till he is standing in front of the girls. He pushes through them, once outside the room he runs. He doesn't know where he was headed, didn't care, he just wanted to run.

As he ran through the corridors, he noticed the guards watching his every movement. He turned and faced the front, running steadily, feeling the blood flow through his legs to his footpads. The further he ran the calmer he became. He didn't notice the girls running to catch up with him. He just concentrated on running. The girls ran at either side of him, slowly directing him away from where he was headed. It didn't worry him much. He ran with them. As they ran he noticed that their path slowly took a downward trend. The paths they took began to get darker and darker.

"Where are we headed?" He continued to run, feeling a chill run through his fur. His armour clanked with every step. Selena turned to him and smiled. "Away from here." She ran by his side, her armour clanking as well. He ran with her slightly in the lead. He watched Sahara run with them, wondering why she is helping them. He wanted to know what she was doing this for. Why was it so important that she get them out?

"What is going on? Why did someone try to kill me?" He asked as he ran. The girls both shake their heads and point. Ahead of them was a single door, barred and locked. He tilts his head to the side and comes to a stop. Upon doing so they notice the sound of running feet. Kalan didn't hesitate; he turned and charged at the door, slamming into it with his shoulder. Shattering the wood around the hinges. The door fell inwards and they followed it through. Charging off down the hall beyond. As they ran, Kalan heard the sounds of voices calling out. Pleas of help echoed down the hall, soon the others could hear it too. Kalan stopped suddenly as he recognised one of the voices. "Mum..." He whispered as he stood there. The girls ran straight into his back, nearly knocking them all down.

"Why have we stopped?" Sahara asked as she disentangled herself from the two of them. Kalan turns to face her.

"Can you hear them?" The stop and look around, listening. Selena suddenly gasp as she notices the cries for help. He turns and breathed through his nose, picking up the scents of people further down the tunnel. He took of following his nose. The girls quickly follow him, not wanting to be left behind. Whenever he came to an intersection, he didn't hesitate as to which path to take.

After a hour or so they came upon a room, at the other end was a sight that caused Kalan to come to a complete stop a second time. Cages. Lots of cages, in some bones others corpses, but it was the one that contained a group of people he recognised. The only cage that had living beings inside held his parents and the research team that disappeared five years ago. He stood there unable to say anything. "Please kind sir, can you help us out, we have done nothing wrong." His mother called from the cage. He walked forward slowly, each step a heart ache. Once upon the cages he stood there, mouth agape, silent. He stood there like that for a few minutes till he regained his senses.

"Mum, dad, but how?" He asked slowly. His dad turned and stared.

"Sorry do we know you?" He shook his head realising they couldn't recognise him in his current form.

"It's me, your son Kalan." He says slowly, watching the shock appear on his mothers face.

"Kalan, is that really you? What happened to you?" She asked very carefully. He nods, stepping up and placing a paw above his head on the cages door and below his waist on the cage. He steps back and drags against the door, slowly breaking the pins in the hinges. With a resounding snap the door flung free, nearly knocking him over. The captives rush out and gather around him, his mother placing a hand on his muzzle. "What happened?" She asked again.

"Later, we have royal guard hot on our tails." Sahara shouts from the entrance to the chamber. Quickly gathering together, they make their way out the opposite end of the chamber. Passing through the door they stumble upon an armoury, looking around and the group stared in awe. Blinking, Kalan walks over to the sword rack, running his claws through them, checking them carefully, before drawing out twin katanas. He drew the blades from their sheathes, both made of the finest steel he had seen. Sliding from the sheathes, the blades glided with the barest hint of sound. He swung both blades out, testing their weight. Smiling he returned the blades to their sheathes and tied the blades to his waist. Looking around he sees that the others had armed themselves. They turn and head for the far door and pass over the threshold, Kalan trailing behind, falling further and further behind. The others eventually notice and they stop and turn.

"What are you doing? Come on let's get out of here." His parents shouted. He turns away from them, facing down the hall.

"Go on ahead, I'll hold them off." He draws the blades from their sheathe and takes a ready stance. Positioning himself in the middle of the hall so they had to go through him to pass.

"Take care of yourself." Sahara shouts as she herds the others down the path.

"Stay alive." Selena shouts as she is pushed further down.

He waited patiently for the guards to come pounding into the tunnel where he stood. Standing in his armour he watched as the guard piled into the hall, weapons at the ready. He waited till they came to a stop. Throwing his arms behind him he took off down the hall, the wind flying through his fur, the scent of battle in the air. He charged straight through the front line and embedded himself in the middle. His blades carving a path of destruction through the air. Where the blades passed the air was stained by the blood of his foes. His blade an extension of his arms, moving with the fluidly of water. Every pass spilling more blood. He kept himself moving, never letting a single blade touch him, and loosing himself to the battle that raged. As he moved, his body became like water. Always moving and flowing. Standing on his pads he twisted his body around and lashed out with a roundhouse kick to a guard's chest, buckling the chest plate. As the guard fell, she took three guards with her. As they fall he slashes across the guards behind, slicing through their armour and causing them to fall backwards. Leaping back he brought himself out of the fray and ran off down the tunnels leading them away from the others.

Turn after turn, he ran. Always leading. Hounded by the royal guard, he ran through the tunnels. Soon realising that they were like a labyrinth. The further he ran, the less he knew of where he was headed, he let his paws take him where they willed. He found himself heading further downhill as he ran. Coming around the corner he almost ran into one of the captives from the cage. The man was elderly, having a sage like appearance. Skidding to a halt he stares at the newcomer.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" The stranger stood there, silent and refusing to speak. Kalan turns and catches the blade of a guard on his sword, diverting it to the side. Twisting round and slashing across his face. The guard leapt back and stood his ground. More coming around the bend. He stands there with a hand up.

"This monstrosity is all mine. If I fall, kill it." He charges and Kalan places his swords in the path of the guard.

"Well if thou is here to kill the boy, then a name is required." The stranger asked, causing both fighters to stop and turn to face him.

"The name is Thalon. Thalon Armaus." He says as he stands back and salutes with his blade. Kalan stands back as well and returns the given salute "Kalan Mortalis." Thalon nodded and charged at Kalan. His blade moving at such a speed that Kalan found himself struggling to keep his blade in between himself and the attacking blade. He kept himself moving back, deflecting the blade where possible. He watched the blade weave a pattern in the air, gliding one way then the other. His blades matching the blade and he slowly started to gain some ground. Leaping back Kalan lands on one paw and pushes off to attack, the suddenness of this move catching the guard off guard. He pushed his advantage, slowly slamming down on Thalon's guard, pushing him back and breaking through. After a few minutes he throws in a solid thrust, past Thalon's guard and through his heart. Pulling his arm back he drew the blade from the man's chest and let him fall to the ground. Once the blade was free he stood there with both blades in his claws and turned to the rest.

"Who's next?" He asked, a faint smile on his muzzle. The blood of the fallen dripping from his fur and armour. His mind blank. He stood there, no emotion, no memory. The battle frenzy upon him. The remaining guards stood there for a few minutes before what they had witnessed sunk in. They all charged as one. They came at Kalan from all sides; he leapt back and met the swords of the guards with his own. The stranger steps forward and places his halberd between the guards and Kalan, flicking the blades away.

"Fall back wolf or you will die." He shouts to Kalan. Kalan licks his lips and tries to knock the halberd out of his way.

"Move it old man or you'll die with the rest of them." The old man stood fast, not moving an inch. The blades stopped coming at Kalan as the old man keeps himself between them and Kalan. He stands there and growls, charging forward and leaping over the old man to get at the guards. Midway through the jump he felt something grip at his leg and drag him back. He was thrown backwards into the ground where he bounced and came to rest on the floor. He slowly climbs to his feet and stares at the old man as he stands there, his back to the guards.

"My, my, my, taken by the blood frenzy so soon, just like your mother." He walks over and places a hand to either side of Kalan's head. "Boy if you are in there it is time to wake up." The old man says as Kalan growls', trying to lift his claws to tear out the old man's throat, but something was holding them down.

After a few hours trapped with no movement, Kalan began to surface.

"Wha... wha... what happened?" He asked shakily. The old man smiles and stares into the clear amber eyes.

"There we go. Back to normal. Tell me boy what do you know of the blood frenzy?" He stared at the old man and shook his head.

"Nothing, why?" the old man frowned and stood up. He started to drag Kalan away from the guards. Moving him further down the halls. As they ran Kalan could hear the sound of running water ahead. Lifting his head he turned one way then the next trying to work out where the sound was coming from. He started to get so distracted with trying to find the source of the sound that he didn't see the abyss in front of his path. The old man steps over to him and pulls him back.

"Careful there wolfy. You might have fallen." Stepping away from the edge he looks down and pales. He pulled away from the edge, very quickly. Slamming his back into the wall he slides along it as the old man takes him down the pass.

"Do you know where you're going?" He asked the old man as he hugs the wall. Creeping along it waiting for a side passage to go down, wanting to be away from the abyss. He hurries along behind the old man, locking his eyes to the man's back. Hoping the side path was soon.

After several hours walking along the edge of the abyss, the old man and Kalan turn and walk down a side path. As they travelled they felt as if every step was dogged. The further they got the more anxious they felt. After an hour of being dogged the pair stop. The old man turned to Kalan.

"Why have we stopped pup?" He asked watching him closely. Gasping upon seeing Kalan's eyes, they where shinning quicksilver, he'd never seen anything like it. Kalan turns and waits for the following guard. After a few ours wait they ran round the corner. Halting a few hundred metres away. Standing in the middle of the tunnel they couldn't help but notice Kalan's quicksilver eyes. Standing there a light began to emanate from his armour. Slowly forming into two dozen orbs, these orbs stretched and twist forming themselves into his wild counterparts. The wolves stood on the ground facing the guards. They stood there, dumbfounded by this sudden show of power. Some stood dazed by the pale blue light reflecting down the hall. Kalan raises his clawed hand, rising as a fist. One out straight he flicks a single claw out and points to the guards. The wolves charge down the tunnel, howling and snarling the whole way. As the first wolf hit the guards he tore through the captain, taking with him a pale white light, which he swallowed and prepared to attack the next one. As he leapt forward the captains body falls lifelessly to the ground, barely making a sound as it hits the ground. Once it did time seemed to slow, the guards charged forward for attack, their weapons passing through the wolves harmlessly. Each wolf taking a life with each strike.

After a few minutes the last guard's body hits the ground. The old man stood behind Kalan, his eyes bulging at what he witnessed. Staring at Kalan with a new found respect. The wolves then turned and charged back passing through Kalan, dispersing as they went through. The alpha of the hunting pack stood in front of him and tilted his head to the side. Waiting only a few moments after the last one, before leaping through. As the final wolf passes through; Kalan falls to the ground unconscious but still very much alive.
