[when i was younger i used to love the crap out of digimon, my two favorite digimon where of course gatomon and, yes, renamon. my love of digimon often lead to some interesting ideas. not the type ya might think. anyway. i figured. what the hey. story time x3.]

What do you do when data becomes real, when the real becomes data, when up becomes down, and down becomes up?

[Speaker: Unknown]

Another boring day come and gone, another day that i would wish that something interesting would happen to me. A sigh would come from me before i lifted my hand into the air and tried to block out the setting sun. Life had always been a bit boring and within that life i had always been left feeling, abnormal. I wasnt sure what it was about me but i always felt bored doing things that "normal" people would find joy with. maybe it was the fact that it didnt feel very challenging. I didn't know. I let out another sigh and lay my hand down so i could watch the sky and wait for the stars and moon to appear.

Noone was really expecting me home. I was twenty-four after all. I didn't have a home, just spent my time wandering while waiting for a job to come my way or i would go to the many stores around town wishing that i could buy some of what sat inside the stores. Being poor was never fun, but i always managed to do odd jobs for people for a bit of food or money so i slid through life content. Lost in my thoughts i wouldn't notice the time pass by and the moon start to rise in the night sky. There were some clouds but not enough to blot out the starry sky. I would normally feel at peace at this sight but something was different. i couldnt put my finger on it.

After a while of the feeling getting worse and worse i finally got up and looked around. seeing nothing but the trees and the nearby playground i rolled my eyes and lay back down, mumbling to myself "Jumpy tonight.." no sooner then i had lay down did i hear rustling. i jumped up quickly and looked in the direction the sound had come from, my arm moving up to a level position in front of my chest while my other arm stayed at my side, i was ready for a fight if it came. I was surprised to see, instead of a fight, a small creature pop from the bushes near a tree.

My mind would blank as i stared at it, the creature was a digimon. Almost everyone knew about the creatures after the odd holes in the sky had happened. It was weird to find one wandering alone though, normally a tamer would be with such a low level creature. I stared at it a few moments before rolling my eyes once again, it wasnt a threat. the creatures rarely attacked humans and with the size difference it wouldnt be hard to severly injure the critter. i sat down again, ignoring the creature, a small rustle a hopeful sign that the creature had just moved on.

Ever since the events that had happened quite some time ago digimon had become a public thing. Many people had since tried to become a trainer, only few managing it. The search for a tamer wasnt just meant for a human, it was meant for a digimon. there were always digimon wandering in different areas of the city, and probably the world, searching for a tamer that might help them realize their goal. Those digimon that didnt have the will to fight and be the strongest where often around for other reasons, sometimes as guardians, sometimes as companions that would help with anything the tamer wanted.

Most digimon and humans learned to live together, others not so much. I was the type that wasnt interested in the whole digimon thing. Alot of those that i saw around tended to be arrogant and full of themselves. i had actually been in a fight with a digimon a few days ago. I lifted my right arm up to look at the burn there that covered a large area between my wrist and elbow. oddly. i had won. the digimon was low level, probably rookie. the only reason i had won was because i had allowed it to hit me so that i could get in a hit, my wild swing hitting the dinosaur like creature near the throat area.

Weither the digimon was hurt or not i couldnt tell but it had run from the fight and i hadnt seen it since. i didnt notice a tamer nearby so i figured it was probably a wild digimon. I shook my head and let out one more sigh before standing up. it had felt good to win the fight against a digimon, even if it was just luck. I took a look around and blinked once i saw a digimon standing there in the shadows. a fox. the same fox that had deemed it appropriate to annoy me after the sun had gone down. I rolled my eyes and turned around walking the other direction, pretending i hadnt seen her.

I heard a kind of scoff sound before hearing heavy footsteps following after me, i balled my fists but kept walking "What do you want raza?" raza had been the name i had given her, at first she had found it annoying and stopped coming around but after a while the name raza had a opposite effect and now she bugged me more. She wore a loin cloth that hung down past her knees. on her right thigh were two brown bands that connected to a small scabbard which housed a six inch dagger like weapon. her top, if you could call it that, was just two pieces of cloth that looked like they had been cut hastily and slapped together to make a outfit. the cloth covered both her breasts and connected at her waist where two gold O rings where embedded into the loin cloth, a similar O ring sitting a few inches below her neck where the two strips of fabric would meet. i didnt get a good enough look but it had seemed that bits of leather had been tied not only around her neck, where the O ring was at, but also near her chest just below her breasts. me figuring that the leather strips acted as a anchor so the fabric wouldnt move when she did.

Despite the creatures clothing and the fact that she was a kind of fox i was never able to make anything else out about her, except for the fact that she was in fact a digimon. with that thought in mind i continued to walk, heading for the exit to the park, raza following a few feet behind me as i walked "You know, if you just stopped and talked to me human we could finally end this cat and mouse game. I came here for a reason, and i wont always come back so stop and hear me out." I scoffed at her comment and stopped but remained silent and turned away from her, i knew that she did indeed have a reason to keep coming back, why else would she not leave me alone? after a few moments of silence i hear her mutter something then "felt" her leave. i smirked and shook my head before continuing to walk.

As the night went on i found myself near the outskirts of town, standing in the middle of a baseball field. I wasnt sure why i was there but i had felt something drawing me in that direction. I was about to leave when i suddenly felt a strong feeling overtake my body, i didnt know what it was but it felt heavy and made it hard to breath. after a few moments and me about passing out the feeling lifted. once i caught my breath and looked around i saw what might have caused the feeling. it was a digimon. a large one. I told my body to move but it wouldnt. i was frozen in place. Fear? i didnt feel afraid. i just couldnt move.

i watched as it turned towards me. it was a virus type digimon. i had seen it around before. i didnt remember the name but it was some weird goblin creature with a skull and crossbones on it as a tattoo. i couldnt help but smile, the creature was said to be incompetant and weak. weither it was, i didnt know. i grinded my teeth and tried to force my body to move, failing a second time. by the time i managed to move my fingers the digimon turned around and noticed me sitting there.

i could hear it talking but it was all a echo, i didnt realize the alien feel to my body untill i started to feel like i was floating. i felt like i was watching a tv through someones window. i wasnt in control anymore. something else was. i was just watching. i heard myself say something and i felt my right hand get a strong magnetic feeling that soon burst out from my hand. i saw a flash of light and heard a feral yell that was soon followed by the sense that i was running, a few moments would pass and i felt myself jump. in what felt like minutes only seconds had past and when i finally had control and could see what was going on i turned to see the digimon vanishing into data, i looked down at my right hand and saw a glimmer of what looked like a blade. after seeing that i felt a sudden weakness come over me and soon felt myself falling, my mind going blank moments before i would feel someone catching me, a voice following that echoed with no words
