#27 of Hypnosis stories

I wrote this story inspired by something a friend usually does! Plus, I think I got the idea from one of the first hypnosis stories I read. It was a short hypnosis story featuring mostly somebody's hypnotic transformation into a dog. I wanted to give it a try myself, and this is what I got! I really like how it turned out.

Hope you guys enjoy it!

"Imagine a dog."

Pet...

Pet...

Pet...

Cody had been gone long before the request came.

Imagining things was easy when in autopilot mode. Normally, the process was like building a campfire - easy for some, difficult for most, requiring a variable quantity of effort. But right there, right then, Cody was in the right state that the wood they had gathered was soaked in gasoline and would ignite simply by being exposed to the tiniest spark. It worked like magic.

A dog.

Pet, pet, pet. Gentle hand on its head.

"You can go into as much detail as you want. It can be a generic mutt or it can be a specific breed. You can think about its ears, or its tail, or its muzzle, or its joyful sparkling eyes. Or you can choose not to think about any of that. Just a dog."

Just a dog.

Cody could see it now. Tail wagging. Tongue lolling out. Soft fur all around. Happy, happy, happy.

"And the more you listen to my voice, the more you allow yourself to sink deeper into trance, the easier it is for you to just see yourself as that dog. Feeling that mental image mixing with the loose idea of yourself you have in your mind. Imagine the dog you are and feel it taking over."

The dog Cody was. Taking over. His toes curled slowly as he imagined his feet becoming paws. The tingling sensation of growing fur spread all over his body. A back and forth phantom movement as he felt that tail wagging at his back. Pointy, fluffy ears. And between them?

"As I pet your head, I want you to think of the sounds a dog makes. Dogs don't use words, do they? They can't form sentences. No words, no sentences - only noises a dog would make."

Pet, pet, pet. Just woofing and barking instead.

"What is your name?"

"Wroof!" Cody.

"And what are you?"

"Woof." A dog.

"That's a good dog. Now, the thing is, no words and no sentences means that you can't say those, not even inside your head. Do you understand?"

"Awoo?"

"No human thoughts either. No human impulses. You're a dog, so there's no reason you'd have those. Does that make sense to you?"

"Wrrrrooff!" Wrrrrooff!

"What are you?"

"Woof woof!" Woof woof!

"I have a feeling that's much, much better. Isn't it, doggy? Of course it is, just look at your face. Dropping on all fours now, letting me clasp this collar around your neck. Isn't that much better?"

Pet, pet, pet. As many as Cody could get.

"Woof!"

"Walking around, feeling your paws against the floor, the tail wagging at your back. Mouth open, so very happy."

Happy, happy, happy.

"And in a moment, I'm going to ask you to sleep. And you've been very good at following my commands so far, so that means you know what's going to happen when I do, right?"

"Woof woof!"

"Of course you do. Shake, boy. That's a good boy!"

"Wroof!"

"And right before you go to sleep, you'll forget I've been training you so that next time it hits you just as hard, won't you, boy?"

Pet, pet, pet. Obey, sleep and forget.

"And sleep. Just like that. Drop deep for me, Cody."

One, two, three. And Cody just plunged onto sleep.
