== LOG #010 ==

First milestone: 10 logs written.

Still no sign of the subject of my experiment. I... I'm very concerned. Especially with all that has been going on lately.

I talked with Sergeant A. Shiro... he tried to take 372 down to a federal holding facility for further interrogation... I asked Henro, since he would have to give permission before the LAPD could do anything. It doesn't really feel right that he is able to stand in the way of the police...

Anyway, he said that the LAPD could not under any circumstances take 372 out of the Pro-Tech facility, but instead allowed the LAPD to have higher authority in the facility, allowing them to interrogate without needing Henro's permission. 372 is in a detention cell in the maintenance area currently. I led Shiro in to speak with 372, and I haven't seen either of them since.

I am getting really nervous... I know that 372 is innocent - ALL of the Protogens are innocent. But if neither myself or 372 can prove it to the LAPD... then it could be the end of the Protogen project...

Also, previously stable Protogens have for some reason started failing for unknown reasons... who am I kidding... they are DYING. More than 10 died within a day! That's not natural! At least, not for these previously healthy Protogens. Henro delivered a briefing stating that this was happening due to a malware infection, but every time anyone has conducted a post-mortem evaluation there has been no trace of any kind of malware! There is something seriously wrong happening here. I just have no idea what.

All of my coworkers are trying to find new jobs. I don't think that they want to be involved in whatever is going on in this place any longer. Maurice, a fellow researcher, just packed his things and drove off as fast as he could.

The other Protogens are also faring poorly. Some have begun banging on the glass separating them from the outside world, yelling to be let free. Others just sit in the corners, despairing.

We need to do something to save these people. And I'm not just gonna sit around and watch it play out.

I'll bring this up at a meeting.
