In Good Time

Matts, a brave hero, finds himself in a predicament. Captured by an ancient and wise creature, can he hold out long enough to find an escape before he succumbs to her training?

A commission for Mattswolf!

Matts gripped the hilt of his sword as he strode into the town.

It was just as he was told. Houses with their doors left hanging ajar, an entire town seemingly abandoned. The cool mist that blanketed his surroundings thickened as he strode deeper and deeper into the silent town, until finally he reached the town square.

There, the villagers stood, each slouching and swaying softly, all of their eyes fixed on one central figure.

Matts drew his sword.

"This ends. Now." He announced, as he pushed his way past the docile townsfolk. None reacted to him as he made his way through the crowd, each one perfectly transfixed on the silhouetted figure up ahead.

Matts finally pushed through their lines and warily met the gaze of the town's center of attention. Or, at least, he was pretty certain he did.

The masked, white bunny that stood in the center of town wore a mask of tree bark that hid her eyes in dark holes, but as soon as he became visible, she turned her head towards him and began to silently walk in a wide arc in front of him, as if she were trying to circle him.

Matts, being the combat expert he was, also began to circle her, keeping her at range at all times. She wore no armor - no anything, really. Just thin vines wrapped around her pale, soft, furred body. She was so exposed, it might have been difficult not to stare, if not for the intimidating mask she wore keeping his eyes on her hidden face.

Her mouth was visible beneath the piece of bark, slowly curling up into a smile as she studied him.

"You are correct." She finally noted.

Matts tilted his head. Correct about what?

"About this ending now." She answered, making Matts jolt.

A mind reader. This would be difficult. He'd have to rely on his instincts if he wanted to stand a chance. That, or think very, very fast.

"You're perfect." The rabbit said, warmly. "I have no need to continue. You will come with me."

"I-" Matts began, only for his eyes to suddenly unfocus as a smell hit his nose. He looked down, confused, only to find that little flowers had sprouted beneath him.

Looking around the square, he realized a circle of them had appeared, in little clusters along their path, like-

Footprints.

Matts' vision swam as he looked back up, instinctively taking another deep breath through his nose and sending his mind reeling.

"Good. You understand." She said. "Sword down."

His sword clattered onto the cobblestone of the town, and he jolted awake. No!

He scrambled to pick it back up and held it once more, alert and determined not to-

"Sword down." She instructed again, and once again he dropped it. He blinked slowly, his thoughts slowing to a crawl as he continued to breathe the intoxicating smell of the flowers at his paws. He'd dropped his sword again. He needed to-

The masked bunny was closer now. She'd walked right up to him. He- there was something he had to do, but-

She placed a single finger on his chin, and his whole body went rigid. He looked down at her. She was so short. A whole head shorter than he was. Why was that so surprising?

She abruptly pushed her finger up, and Matts' chin with it. He tumbled backward, his whole body lifting off the ground and into free fall, tumbling head over heels, over and over, through empty space.

He couldn't keep up. It was all so confusing. Why was he falling? He couldn't be falling. Hadn't he just been standing in the middle of... somewhere?

Abruptly, his paws found ground, and he felt his mind lurch forward to catch up.

He looked around, heart pounding as he felt very much awake. Adrenaline coursed through him as he looked around his surroundings, and searching for his weapon.

He was standing in a misty field of grass and leaves. The mist around him was so thick, it was like a wall only a few paces away in every direction. The ground beneath him and the starry, purple night sky above him were the only relief from the silvery mist all around him.

He realized with a gasp that he was completely nude. He reached down to cover himself instinctively, getting another dose of adrenaline as he tried to think back to when he could possibly have been stripped of all his equipment. He could hardly remember anything past arriving in the town square, and then-

Someone cleared their throat behind him. He turned, defensively, and met the gaze of the masked rabbit, too close for comfort.

And yet, as Matts tried to step away, she seemed to stay just the same distance from him. It was as if she was part of the mist, and no matter how far he moved, she would always be in the same place relative to him. After a few more failed steps away, he finally stopped, and just watched her, warily.

"Your emotions are distressing you." She observed. "None of that. We need to begin your training."

Matts barely had enough time to repeat the word in his head before his emotions suddenly softened. His pounding heart slowed, and his breath returned to normal. He knew, logically, that he should be terrified, but he couldn't feel it at all.

"You will not cover yourself. You are to be observed, freely, by anyone who wishes to." She explained, calmly.

"No." He said. "Explain yourself. Why am I here?" Matts growled, though his heart wasn't in it. Even his anger felt... emulated. Like an imitation based on his memory of what he would act like if he really was angry.

"I have chosen you to be my familiar to an upcoming gathering." The creature explained. "It is very important that, as a familiar, you meet the expectations of everyone there. As such, for your sake, I will instruct your behavior and teach you how to behave."

"Familiar? Like... like a pet?" Matts asked.

"If it is easier to think of yourself as my pet, you will do so." She said. "Now, cease covering yourself."

"No." Matts said, again. "I don't wish to be your familiar, or your pet."

"But you do." She said, with a calm smile. "Perhaps you'd like me to refresh your memory."

She bent down and plucked a single flower from the grass. Matts watched it, feeling phantom dread as she lifted it up and gave it a gentle sniff.

Then, she held it toward him. "Go on. You know you wish to."

Matts shook his head.

"Very well." She said, and tossed the flower aside.

The moment it hit the grass, it erupted into a colorful cloud of petals. Matts watched, placidly, as each petal sprouted a new flower, which also released petals, and more brightly colored flowers sprouted in response.

In seconds, the entire area he could see was covered blooms. Matts took a breath, and his head began to swim.

"Very good. Another deep breath, Pet." The rabbit instructed.

Matts obeyed, before he could stop himself. The smell filled his mind, and he felt weak, dizzy. Small, even.

"You will not cover yourself." The creature explained. "You are to be observed, by anyone who wishes to observe you."

Matts removed the hand covering his crotch, and put his hands at his sides. His tail wagged slightly as a warm feeling washed over him. It felt good to obey.

"Good. You will address me as 'Mistress.' This is my title, and it signifies my ownership of you." She said.

"Yes, Mistress." He said, his tongue feeling heavy in his mouth. He began to pant, drool dripping from his tongue as she smiled in approval.

"Very good." She said.

She stepped around him, running her fingers through his hair and making his head feel fuzzy and warm. She placed her hands on his shoulders and stood behind him, gently rubbing her hands into his back.

"Your body is a treasure. One that belongs to me." She said, calmly, rubbing small circles into his shoulders. "If I should wish to display you, you will accommodate me."

"Yes, Mistress." Matts answered. It made sense, he thought distantly in the tumbling wash that was his brain.

"Kneel." She ordered, pushing his shoulders down. He sank down to his knees, creating another puff of pollen in the sea of color beneath him and sending his mind tumbling down and down.

The scent was everywhere. It was so heavy, so warm, it weighed down his thoughts so much they couldn't surface in the sea of warm pleasure.

"When I instruct you to show yourself to me, you will assume this position first." She instructed, her hands still on his shoulders, still gently rubbing. The constant, reassuring pressure made it easy to focus on her and her instructions.

"You will then spread your knees." She instructed, reaching around in front of him and rubbing gently under his chin. Gods, he loved her touch. Her fur was unbelievably soft, and her fingers seemed to know just the right places.

Obediently, he spread his knees. It was a very exposed position, one that stirred the fighter in Matts just a little. He felt vulnerable. For the briefest moment, he questioned what he was doing.

Mistress walked a small circle around him, studying his posture and stirring up the flowers as she did so. The overpowering scent returned in full force, and Matts felt his entire body sink into the warm, fuzzy feeling.

"Now, you will become aroused." She instructed, finding her position behind him once more and returning her hands to his shoulders. It was a simple instruction, but one that filled Matts with a strange sense of... doubt. Did she really expect his body to just respond to her commands?

And yet, the results spoke for themselves. Matts felt his tail wag behind him and his breath turn to needy panting as waves of arousal began to build up within him. He felt himself throbbing and stiffening up, as she stood over him, watching approvingly.

Finally, he stood at full mast, throbbing gently between his thighs as his Mistress rubbed at his shoulders.

"Very good. That's enough for today." She said. "You've earned a treat, my Pet."

Without a word, she stepped in front of him. For just a moment, Matts was just at eye level with her slit, and he felt his heart rate spike. Was she going to...?

Abruptly, she gave him a push, and he tumbled backwards and into the flowers. The smell was all around him, heavier and thicker than ever before. His tongue lulled out of his mouth as it soaked into his fur.

Matts was alone again. The flowers were gone, wilted and faded into the grass beneath him. He wasn't sure how long the lesson had lasted.

He paced around the soft floor of this realm while trying to think rationally about his escape.

He was still himself. He would only obey the strange creature while under the influence of her flowers. If he just continued to resist, eventually, someone would notice he was missing. One of his friends would probably know what quest he was sent on, and they'd be able to track him.

He knew some talented spell casters. By his estimates, being generous, it wouldn't be longer than a few weeks before they knew exactly where he was. And after that, not another week more before they'd devise a way to follow him here and rescue him from this strange creature.

He just had to hold out.

He'd lost track of the days. It had been... well, there was no day or night here. He tried to count, but always found himself losing his place, distracted momentarily by something and then stirring himself awake after an unknown amount of time.

He didn't need to eat or sleep here. Property of the realm. Or perhaps, during the rabbit's visits, she was feeding him. If she was, he had no memory of it.

The sessions were getting easier to remember. That, too, worried him.

She would appear, smile, and give him a simple command. Each time, he resisted, and each time, by the end of it, he was obeying her every word. He was pretty sure she was still using the flowers, but even as her instructions seemed to linger in his mind, her methods did not.

He had to stay strong, he reminded himself.

"Hello, Pet." He heard from behind him, and he flinched.

He turned to face her, and she approached him, calmly, smiling gently as she always seemed to.

"You were wondering how much time has passed since you were brought here, Pet." She said. "That is normal for beings like yourself. I will accommodate you."

"...Oh?" Matts replied, uncertain.

"In this realm, it has been... one moon cycle." She said. "It feels for you like thirteen days."

"In this realm?" Matts asked.

"Yes. I brought you here to accelerate your training. Time flows very slowly here." She answered. "Now-"

"Wait - how long has it been in my realm?" He asked, panic edging into his voice.

The creature smiled serenely. "Seconds, I suppose. I haven't visited since I found you. Now-"

"Seconds!?" Matts asked, bewildered. "That-"

"You will not speak to me out of turn." She reminded him, and Matts felt his jaw stiffen. "Now, kneel." She instructed.

He fought the urge. He could still resist her. He still could.

"Kneel. Now." She repeated. He grit his teeth and kept his heels planted.

After a few moments of straining against his own impulses, she bent down, and plucked a flower from the grassy floor.

Seconds. He kept repeating that word in his mind, over and over and over. Seconds.

It couldn't be true. It couldn't be. Seconds?

If it was... he was...

Doomed. To stay here. To become the familiar she wished him to be.

It was better than being dead, he remarked, grimly.

She could have been lying, but, somehow, he knew that she wasn't. She didn't lie. It wasn't in her nature.

Seconds. That meant if he wanted to be rescued, he'd have to resist her lessons for years to come. Lessons he already was succumbing to.

His mind kept going back to how it felt when he finally did kneel, and he kept having to stop himself.

Maybe - maybe it would be better if he stopped resisting. Maybe that meant she would finish his "training" and he'd be taken somewhere else. Somewhere he could be rescued from.

"Pet." He heard, and he felt the dread wash over him.

He had been sitting in the grass, and she was now standing over him.

"Kneel." She instructed.

He looked away. Fighting wasn't an option.

Hesitantly, he moved himself into a kneel before her.

"Very good." She praised, and Matts felt a rush of pleasure wash over him. He flinched slightly as he felt a set of fingers run down his back, gently scratching him and sending pleasureful chills through his body.

"Eyes on me." She instructed, and Matts obeyed. He looked meekly up at her as she stepped closer, so that his muzzle was just between her legs.

He realized he could smell the flowers again. Stronger than ever before.

"Recite your mantra." She instructed.

He reacted automatically.

"I am Mistress's familiar from the mortal realms. I am called Pet. How may I serve you?" He spoke, slowly and clearly.

"Lick." She said.

His tongue dragged up her soft folds, and he was rewarded with the feeling of her scent washing over his mind. The flowers were nothing compared to this. They were an understated imitation of her own natural scents, and any resistance he might have had to them was long forgotten in the face of something so magnificently intoxicating.

And yet, he couldn't have another lick. Not until he was told.

"Good. Show yourself." She instructed.

Matts felt his cock begin to harden. Automatically, he spread his knees slightly, and panted as waves of arousal swept through him. As he leaned back, his Mistress stepped forward to ensure his muzzle was still between her legs.

Finally, he stood fully erect, his hands at his sides, his tail wagging behind him.

"Very good. Lick." She instructed.

The reward was heavenly. He gave her another long, wet lick, and made sure to take a deep breath of her scent.

Two phantom fingers pushed their way up into his relaxed asshole and he whimpered softly.

His Mistress smiled.

"That noise - the other guests delight in those. Very good." She praised. "Lick."

Matts eagerly licked again, savoring her flowery taste and mind-melting smell. She idly rubbed at herself to keep her smell potent as the phantom fingers in his rear sank another knuckle in.

He made a show of whimpering and whining in pleasure at the sensation, and Mistress rewarded him with another lick.

"You're enjoying this very much." She said. Matts could only nod. How could he deny it to one who could hear his thoughts?

She hummed her approval and pulled his muzzle into her slit. She gave no instruction, simply letting him breathe in its smell and stare longingly at it.

Gods how he wanted to lick. He wanted to push his tongue as far as it could go, and savor the taste for as long as he could, but he knew that the only way he'd get to was to behave.

He was supposed to be fighting this, a part of himself reminded him.

He had never been more certain about ignoring that part.

Finally, Mistress spoke.

"Very well. You've earned a treat, Pet." She said. "Lick as you please."

Excitement coursed through him. He couldn't believe his ears, his luck.

"Not luck." She said.

Not luck, he quickly agreed. It was the benevolence of his Mistress, who saw fit to reward him.

Matts didn't hesitate any longer. He pressed his muzzle against her soft flesh and pushed his tongue as deep as it could go, savoring the tight hold her body had of his tongue as her scent was rubbed into his nose.

He pulled his muzzle back, just a little, so he could give her some proper licks, dragging his long, wet tongue over her delicious entrance over and over again as her flavor coated every taste bud in his mouth.

This was heaven, he thought to himself, as the sensations became too much for his mind to comprehend. He buried his tongue in her once more, and rolled his eyes up as she placed a hand on the back of his head.

Matts followed happily behind Mistress as she led him through the strange place. Creatures of all shapes and sizes surrounded him, often intermingled with submissive creatures like himself. Mistress spoke in strange tongues, and he made sure to recite his mantra and make the noises she liked when the other guests looked him over.

If he had to guess, he'd say he was quite popular. A few of the other creatures like him were told to touch him, but he always got to be on top. Mistress told him with a smile that was a very good thing.

The little voice in his head that told him to resist had long since been converted. Mistress hadn't just stopped training him when he'd started to ignore it. She'd turned him into an eager familiar with no will other than to please her, just for another taste of the magic between her legs.

He whimpered softly at the thought and nuzzled at her thigh. She ran a hand through his hair, and guided his muzzle between his legs for a taste.

He had been being very good, after all.
