Family Life: It's Time

By: DarkSerpent

I was at work my phone resting on my desk .The nine months mark was here and any day now I soon would see the three fruit of my loins. I was on edge at every moment and today I was planning on speaking with Mr. Ligeron about his gifts. He was on his way here from his office across the sea. I tapped on the keys of my office keyboard glancing at my phone every few seconds.

After a moment the elevator door opened and I looked up. The muscular half breed stepped off the elevator and moved down the hall to my desk. "You wanted to speak with me," He pulled a chair up across from me. "Yes," I nodded and he sat down. "What about?" He leaned back. "Alright what's the game you're playing, out of nowhere you come in and say you want to be friends with my family then you give us a house," I explained and he shrugged. "Just being kind, like I said I want to be close to your family, I can help your kids with coping with being half breeds," He continued. As we talked the boys sat at home just doing house work.

"I hate folding clothes," Glenn sat up folding a shirt and setting in apart. "Well it's better than dusting," Matt sprayed the TV lightly with cleaner before wiping it off. Adam moved up the stairs slowly not feeling well. "You alright?" Matt looked at him. "Yeah just an upset stomach," He rubbed his large belly. "You think it might be time?" Glenn pushed himself up slowly. "I think it might be," He grabbed the phone dialing me. "Drew...I think it's time for me, ok I'll be ready," He hung up the phone and sat down.

Glenn and Matt moved over to him as he held his stomach. "Ah!" He yelled and held tight to the cushions. "Easy there," Glenn took his hand feeling the same problem with his stomach. Matt gulped and took his other hand also starting to go into labor. Each boy was starting to feel the contractions of there temporary wombs. They'd soon be delivering as time passed. I arrived home with Ligeron following. Rushing inside each of my boys sat on the steps holding there bellies in pain. "All three?" I asked a little flabbergasted. They nodded and I started leading them out on by one. Matt and Adam in the back and Glenn up front next to me. "Can I help in anyway?" The half-breed asked and I looked at him. "Yeah call whoever it is you have at the hospital and tell them they've got three pregnant men on the way," I shifted into drive and zoomed off.

I vanished down the road. "Go faster!" Adam kicked the back of the seat. "I can't I'm going as fast as the car will go," I explained with the petal forced to the floor. My tires squealed as we rounded a turned. With the hospital in sight I turned up the hill curving almost hitting a car. I slowed to a stop shifting into park. Suddenly from the door rushed out doctors and nurses with wheelchairs. "Well he held up his end of it," I stepped out as the doctors whisked them away.

I rushed inside and ran after them as they were put into the same room. With all the commotion I was completely oblivious and as if by a blink they were each in a bed. "Ok Mr. Mills" The giraffe from before moved up and gave me a seat. "Now they have started going into labor, it may take a while so you have plenty of time to wait," He calmed me down and I let out a soft sigh. Once he left I moved to Adam's bed. "You ok?" I asked and he nodded placing my hand on his stomach. "I'm fine, good thing I called huh?" He laughed a little and winced at another contraction.

I whipped over to Matt's side and he kissed my cheek. "Don't worry it'll all be fine," He smiled. "Yeah were gonna be ok," Glenn took my hand softly in the bed next to his. Slowly over the next few hours I let everyone else know that they'd deliver soon. The nurses would come in periodically and check the boys to see how they were. They expected that Adam would be the first to deliver while Matt would be the last. I didn't care about the order I'd be in the room with them for each one. I couldn't let them do this completely by themselves.

"God this is so painful, waiting and all," I yelled and they all gave me looks. "You think you're in pain?" Adam grumbled. "Imagine pushing out of your ass," Matt mode changed to angry very fast. "Ok ok I know it's harder for you all I'm just anxious is all," I smiled back out not wanting to be ganged up on. Suddenly Adam let out a small groan and water ran off the side of his bed. "My water broke!" He yelled and his belly shrunk in size. "Nurse!" I yelled and they rushed in. "Alright Adam your ready, here we go!" They rushed him out and I followed.

Before I knew it he was on all fours on the bed laying his upper body on a soft pad. "Is this how it's supposed to be done?" I asked and the giraffe reassured me as we washed up. The nurse but gloved on us and he moved in. "Ok Adam I want you to take a deep breath," Adam did as he was told. "No push," He ordered and Adam pushed hard. Liquid seeped from him as I watched him open. It took a lot to hold in everything that had been eaten earlier. "Ok good now let's try again," The giraffe continued. "Usually it takes only a few tries to deliver, it's the difference between males and females," He explained to me as Adam relaxed.

"Now when it happens everything will come out, the temporary uterus and everything so don't be alarmed," He patted my back. I nodded and Adam took another deep breath and started to push again. This time the baby started to crown. I watched amazed as a few doctors took pictures of this rare event. Soon two small ears flopped out as more of the baby slid out. The doctor smiled and supported the babies head pulling gently. With one more strong push the baby slid out and everyone clapped. Adam relaxed and I cut the cord with a soft snip. Adam groaned in pain as his body naturally expelled the womb leaving him the exact size he was before he got pregnant.

The doctor handed the baby to a nurse who cleaned him up and used and enema bulb to pull the liquid from the baby's lungs. With a small smack to his bottom to start the nerves firing the baby let out a loud cry. Everyone relaxed as the doctor slowly turned Adam onto his back. The nurse told me the weight and everything as she wrapped him in a blue blanket. Adam gasped and smiled watching as the nurse handed me a large blue bundle. I smiled seeing the cream colored bunnies nose twitch up toward me. I smiled and slowly brought him over to his mother. "It's our baby," I smiled and Adam started to cry softly taking the baby into his arms. "Hi there, I'm your mommy," He smiled and kissed his forehead. "And this is your daddy," He moved slightly as the baby opened its eyes slowly. With us being the first two it saw he instant imprinted on us. "You rest baby the hard parts over," I kissed Adam and he smiled.

Adam exhausted and in pain leaned back and the nurse picked the baby up slowly. "What name should I put on his crib?" She smiled. "Andy, short for Andrew Junior," Adam whispered just before dozing off to sleep. I nodded and she carried him away slowly. They wheeled Adam away slowly to recover while I stepped out pulling off my gloves. I followed Adam back to the room where Glenn and Matt sat up waiting. "Well how did it go?" Matt asked. "A baby boy, Andy, eight pounds, nine ounces," I smiled and they both clapped. "He's gonna have a little soreness sitting down for a while, and no sex for at least two weeks," The nurse patted my shoulder and walked past us.

"How's he looking?" Matt asked and I moved over. "He's beautiful, my color but a perfect little bunny," I smiled. "Glenn?" The doctor popped his head in. "We'll have to take you back early since you are a marsupial your process will require some special procedures," he smiled and they started wheeling him back. I gave Matt a kiss and followed Glenn holding his hand. "I'm gonna kill you if this hurts a lot," He smirked up at me and I smiled. "You can kill me all you want after it's done," I kissed him and we entered a different delivery room.

"What's different doctor?" I asked and he smiled. "Well you see, usually a marsupials baby is very small, the baby instinctively crawls to the mothers pouch where their feed and the mother naturally cleans it off, so we'll have to get it our weight it then let it naturally find it's way to moms pouch," He explained. The doctor inserted his finger feeling the mucus plug starting to give way. He pulled his finger out and a second later Glenn jumped as he water broke. His large belly shrunk and with lightning speed they shifted him onto his hands and knees. He cried slightly feeling the baby pushing against his new cervix demanding exit.

"Ok go ahead and push Glenn," The doctor positioned himself behind him. The baby crowned within the first push and Glenn gritted his teeth in pain. He pushed harder and more of the baby started to emerge the doctor repeating the process as before. The baby started to cry immediately coughing out the fluid immediately. "There we are," The doctor smiled and pulled the small kangaroos long legs out of his mother. The womb followed quickly and I cut the cord. Glenn was back to his naturally fit self with a baggy pouch hanging open.

They quickly weighed the baby as he started to move slowly. A quick clean to dry him off finished her work with him. After that she quickly brought him back over to Glenn who was now lying on his back. She placed the baby on top his pouch and he started to crawl forward. Glenn smiled gently directing the baby up onto his chest before turning him slowly. The baby instinctively crawled down into its room curling up in a ball. Glenn smiled and leaned back relaxing. Andy had a lot of his mother except for my colors. This baby had two small nubs for horns and powerful arms like me already. He was a good mixture of me and his mother.

"What's this little guy's name mommy?" I asked and rubbed his pouch softly seeing the baby stick its nose out. "I like Curt," Glenn kissed me sleepily. "Then Curt it is," I looked down seeing the babies bright green eyes staring back at us. I moved my hand touching his nose slightly and he pulled back into his home.

"You rest baby we've both had a rough day," Glenn smiled and started to drift away. Putting him on a clean bed they wheeled him back to the room. "Is he ok?" Matt grunted going through another contraction. "Yes little baby curt is fast asleep in his pouch," I smiled and Matt peeked over to get a glimpse. The baby was far down in his home out of sight from peering eyes. I sat next to Matt and kissed his cheek softly. "Guess there's only one other person left to have their baby," I nuzzled him softly. "Yes I think he's going to have a lot of his daddy in him," He smiled rubbing his big belly.

"Would you like to go back now Matt?" The doctor patted his shoulder. "I guess, I better get ready for when it happens," He smiled. They wheeled him back to the first room since they had cleaned it up. I got cleaned up and Matt prepared himself. His water broke and they started. He began his first push and nothing happened. "What's wrong?" I asked and the doctor looked at me. "Like I said it takes a few tries," He smiled and Matt pushed again still nothing happened. Ten minutes of this and still the baby was no closer to coming out. "Ok this isn't normal, Mr. Mills I'm going to need you to step out of the room," The doctor spoke and before I could interrupt I was pushed out of the room. A nurse stopping me from going back in.

I stood in the hallway hearing Matt's small squeaks of discomfort. I felt so helpless knowing that when this happened with women it usually led to the death of either of them. I stood in that waiting room for an hour pacing no one arriving. The nurse stepped in with a look on her face. "Mr. Mills the doctor told me to inform you that there are some complications with the baby being born, but were trying everything we can," She spoke and quickly walked away. I was alone and no one could get here to at least tell me it was ok. It was then I resorted to my last thought. I fell to my knees and crossed my hands. "I don't talk to you much, but I guess we've gone against your plan, but if you could see it fit to spare them...I've been a good soul I don't cheat, I love my boys, please spare Matt and his baby from your wrath," I spoke softly into my hands terrified.

Another hour passed....

"Mr. Mills," I looked up suddenly seeing the doctor staring back at me. "Doctor? What happened is everything ok?" I asked worried and the doctor patted my shoulder. "Well good news and bad news, good news is you're the proud father of a ten pound one ounce baby boy, Bad news there's two stitched in Matt's bottom so it's gonna be a little uncomfortable for him to sit for a while," He smiled and I smiled. With a small sigh I looked up and nodded.

"Where are they?" I asked and he led me back to the room. Adam and Glenn still fast asleep and hanging from the ceiling. His wings wrapped around himself as he slept soundly. "He said that was easier than sitting, his bottom should be fine in a day or two, the baby has wings and they were getting caught on the way out which is why it took so long," The doctor stepped out and I kissed Matt gently.

I followed the doctor to a large window looking into a room. Lots of cribs along the entire floor with little Andy lying silently sucking his thumb in one crib. I looked around and an elephant nurse walked in with a new bundle she sat it down in a crib before me. She wrote on the tag blocking my view and when she moved I saw my last baby. A pudgy baby with big green wings stretched out to the sides of the crib. Two small arms bent up along his wings. His feet being small hooves with black stripes along his wrists, arms, and hips. A completely white underbelly leading up to his pointed upward nose. A bat face smiling in his sleep with a small flickering tail.

"I like the name he picked out," The doctor walked away slowly. I looked down at the name tag seeing the name Luke written across it. "My babies," I smiled and felt a sense of content deep in my chest. I felt hands touch my shoulders. My parents, Mr. Simmons, and Ligeron stood on each side of me looking into the glass. I took pictures of both babies with my phone and Glenn's sending them to his parents.

Mr. Simmons revealed to me that if we moved I'd be given a better higher paying job. Ligeron told me that if I moved he would let his private jet bring the expecting grandparents to the island whenever they wished. But that was in the back of my mind at the time. All I cared about right now was my sleeping babies and wives. I now had a real family and I couldn't wait to get them home just so I could be with them.
