Heh. This log number is the same as James Bond's signature number.

I probably shouldn't have started with that, due to the graver tone of this log.

A body was discovered in the facility.

It was a security guard, shot twice in the stomach. Apparently suicide is the current theory as to how he died, but aside from the gun laying beside his corpse, there is no evidence to support this.

Anyway, I never really got a chance to sit and write up a log amid all of the chaos that surrounded the event, so that's why it's been so long.

The main thing that troubles me about this event is that everything moved on so quickly. Despite it being the only thing workers talked about, it felt that the company wasn't really taking much action in response to the death. Another thing that made me a bit concerned is that the Protogens seem to be trying to tell me something about the event, but are too scared to mention it directly. By that I mean that they keep attempting to tell me things on confidence, hinting that it is related to the death. However, they seem to change their minds and try to avoid the subject. This is overall suspicious behaviour, but I do not believe that this is due to them knowing that they have done something wrong. Rather, I think that it may be because they are scared or telling the truth.

Oh yeah, the name of the security guard was Dasha, by the way. We joined the company at the same time, so we knew each other relatively well. We hadn't had a chance to talk since 372's creation. It is very sad knowing that he is no longer there. He was a good friend.

I always used to look up to him, not necessarily because he was a great deal better than me in personality or qualities, but more of how others viewed him. I know that he especially had a lot of people with feelings for him, heh. He just never knew, unfortunately. Probably he would've eventually, but I guess now we'll never know.

Briefly on the topic of my personal 'experiment', we have been trying together to figure out exactly what happened to Dasha. So far we have ruled out the current 'suicide' theory, mostly based around the fact that Dasha never had any mental health issues, which we knew for a fact. He was probably the most mentally secure guy around this place. The only issue now is that we have no idea what else it could be, since all security feed from the day was corrupted (conveniently for the killer, if there was one). The only person registered in the area at the time was Dasha himself.

Again, this points the the popular theory, however, there is one other piece of evidence that we do have.

Since she works near the area where the event happened, _____* could hear the gunshots. However, she allegedly also heard one other thing:

Two raised voices.

This could be interesting.

*yes, I will keep her name omitted from these logs for confidentiality reasons.
