Warming the lizard
#7 of SFW Short Stories
You are up late at night again, doing random shit on the computer like usual after losing track of time. So engrossed in the episodic, yet completely unrelated content of the internet, everything from cat videos to DIY carpenting guides. None of it was particularly useful, yet it was entertaining nevertheless.
By the time ten o'clock rolled around, sleepiness eased itself over your consciousness, yet you didn't feel enclined to turn everything off yet; at least, that was until you felt a presence close behind.
Over your shoulder is a reptilian muzzle, black in color with a white chin and spots, and glowing orange eyes. Quickly after you feel a pair of arms wrap around your torso, clawed hands poking out of pink, fuzzy warm pajamas. It really wasn't difficult to make out who had suddenly invaded your space.
"Kai?" A feminine hum reached your ears.
"Mmm, Anon it's late," She whispered while squeezing your torso gently, and pressing her cheek against yours. "Will you join me?" When you glance at the clock on your computer, you realize how late it was indeed.
Smiling, you reach up and caress her other cheek.
"Give me a second to turn everything off, alright?" You reassure by giving her an affectionate peck on the side of her jaw.
While you would like to say snuggling with Kai was only a comfy endeavor, the komodo dragon was cold blooded and would find it difficult to get up at all in the morning without warmth. So, cuddles would be in order every night, but you hardly minded. Not only did she wear some fuzzy warm pajamas, but there was just enough squish to her slender form to be very comfy to sleep with.
While temporarily disappointed that she had let you go, you set to work closing everything down and turning off the computer. Standing up, you enter your bedroom and briefly change into your own pajamas. Kai laid atop your queen sized bed and were already under the covers, staring intently for you to join her. With no reason not to, you crawl into bed with the ecdothermic reptile.
A pair of limbs immediately grasped onto and pulled you close, your head resting just below her chin as you wrap your own arms around her back. Even with the reptilian 'mammaries' pressing against your chest, you didn't feel the temptation of arousal, just a loving warmth by providing her the body heat she needed.
"I love you Anon, thank you." She whispered in genuine appreciation, pulling over the covers properly.
"Love you too Kai." You reply back softly, briefly kissing the loose scaly skin of her neck. "Goodnight." With a hum of gratitude, you feel her arms gently caress your back as she drones out a reply of her own.
Evidently, your lizard lover was out like a light not five minutes later, the slow rise and fall of her chest and meager heart beat tell tail signs of lost consciousness.
It took a bit longer for you to follow, but the reassuring and secure hold she had, put you at ease. Everything else from the day faded together to black as you dozed off in the comfort of her arms.
