-Idea popped into my head tonight and decided to run with it. Less of a very sexual story and more of a fable of sorts, though yeah there's sex in there ;). Featuring everyones favorite dragon Sithen. Sorry for the rough draft, wrote it at work and lost all drive to do edits. I suck as a writer that way.-

The heat of the desert sent rippling distortions of the air over the sand, the sun punishing the earth until not even those who sent out the great caravans dared it to ensure their wares reached the trade cities in more plentiful lands. The great river that had filled it's banks with life and green splashes of growth had trickled down to a mere arm span of water, and then even that faded into muddy wallows where crocodiles and wildlife gathered desperately to sustain their life. The once lush green banks withered and died, fading into nothing more then a memory of what once was.

Within the great palaces and homes, the thick mud walls kept the worst of the heat out. Just enough to live by, just enough hint of coolness that those that stayed could survive and remember. The breasts within the temple sacrificed their starving animals, the slit throats spraying dark ruby red blood on the altars of their gods. Praying for mercy, for relief, for hope, for the clouds to swell the air and once again cast down the life giving rains over their temples. Silence was their answer, they were left with the question. What does one do when the gods themselves are silent?

In the oldest parchments in the temples, a story, a myth, a legend, an ancient cult began to appear as they looked for a time when the gods had taken away the rains to punish their people. What had been done to sooth their anger and rage and allow them to send down the rich rains. It told of a time when the river had been lost, baked into hard clay. Beast and human alike had suffered under it, falling dead in the sleep. The bodies too many for the embalmers to take away to proper rest, and it seemed as if the gods sucked the life from them as the pounding sun and dry air hardened their bodies and mummified them.

Deep in the desert, in the heart of the Valley of the Dead, nestled among the great pharaoh's final resting places was an expanse of untouched sand. White and gleaming, yet even the lowliest of apprentices knew it was forbidden to enter those sands. The parchments told of curses and death, of those who had disappeared when trying to take jugs full of the sand to make fine glass with. Though the further they read, the more apparent it was that the land did not belong to any people or Temple. There lay sleeping was a creature only described as scaled and immense, feminine and the bringer of life through her awakening.

Another creature too was referenced, a creature of storms and rains, who's wings brought forth the crack of thunder and lightening and nourished the earth. How he had grown weak and old in his duties, somnolent and had not roused for two seasons to bring back the rain. Pining after his lost one of the earth until the people had roused her. It was their the priest found the ritual, Osirus, Horus, Re and Hathor all called upon to rouse their creature to take up her duties again and bring forth the rains from their passions. They envisioned the creatures of rain, wind and earth joining, a rumbling a crack of thunder. So long had the people forgotten that their gods created beings of flesh, avatar's to rouse to their duties at the call of their people.

--

The sands were soft and hot, her form lay within it while her mind spun free. Kiting the world from thought to thought, she was Shishin. Born from the gods themselves from an egg made of solid gold when the hairless apes that were their followers were little more then hut dwelling creatures that survived season to season with little care for the future. Like fleas on the face of the earth, she felt them tilling the soil and growing exotic spices. Bast, Horus, Isis, Osiris, Anubis, Seth, Thoth, Hathor, Re, they made up names for the gods and goddesses that had birthed the world. Their temples raised with their images carved in the stone and painted lovingly.

Yet even as Shishin listened to their chatter, their lives go on above her, her mind longed for freedom again. Her claws sunken into the sands to feel the tremors of the earth around her, all the way to the fiery heat of the molten core, locked in this place by her duties and oaths to the Ones who made her. Above her soared her counterpart, the being that had been given reign over the heavens above and every year he called to her.

At first it was bellows, the earth trembled with his demands that she rise to meet him! He was to claim her, take her, have her! His wings cracked his sides lightening the golden sands in beauty while the skies swirled and churned under each beat. Until he had to give into her, mark her, want her and his release came forth across the skies seeding not her womb but the clouds themselves. And the rain scented of his need fell to the earth to enliven it again. So the gods had demanded, they would always be separate, her body a part of the earth to give it the seeds of life for their worshippers. And he, he let his seed spill through the clouds to claim the dry soil and swell the rivers again and bring forth rich green life.

Each season Shishin listened to his cries, Sithen's masculine bellows and demands became entreating and frantic. Her mind sank deeper and deeper into torpor, letting it brush the minds of others and only stirring to rumble the earth beneath their feet when the skies started to spill her mates seed. Yet each season he was not greeted with her, as the centuries passed he grew tired, so tired, his bellows only rumbles as he started to seek within himself. To forget her, to forget his pain and suffering, forget all that had made him love and lust. The rains never came, one season and then another, the fertile life she sent into the earth dried up and shriveled away.

Yet this season her body longed and wanted, but so long in the earth had made her unable to find her way to her own body completely. She was the fallow field and the hardened clay, the earth built temples and huts, the seeds that held the potential of continuing the cycle of life held dormant inside of her. Dragging the last hint of his rains into her trying desperately to spring forth life once more! Within the sands the gods creature despaired with her lover, there would be no way out, his life and love had been extinguished.

Far away, yet so close she could feel each foot, people gathered. Above her, around her, surrounding where she slept and the voices started to raise up in chant. The names they had given their gods and her despair changed to disgust, they had to name everything, they could not be content with what they were given. To know they were the Chosen of their gods! No they must name them, imagine them, constrain them into boxes with their worship not encompass all of the greatness that they truly were! The chants changed, her name, her name was being called out.

"SHISHIN! SHISHIN! Golden one! Earth-tombed queen! Child of the gods!" They called out until she stirred and remembered her own name. "SHISHIN! SHISHIN!"

The massive beast twisted and churned in the earth as if being stung by a wasp at her name, why would they not leave her go, let her sink into her memories again and the earth. Memories of Sithen, memories of how the world started, yet each time she took a mental breath to dive back down into such memories they forced her up again with their calling of her name. She would kill them! Shake the earth until her jaws closed around the small creatures for daring call her name! She was not a dog to be called upon, did they dare near her sands.

The earth shuddered under hundreds of sandaled feet, heaved as if being turned from below and some voices faltered and struggled to hold each other upright. The voices changed calling out Sithen's name, "SITHEN! SITHEN! Sky-lord, serpent of the rain and stars!" The creature beneath the sands felt a pang of sorrow and then fury that they would say that name, that creatures of only a few years would dare to call out to him! The gods had charged her to keep the earth, they had not charged her to keep their people, she would teach them! Until her very name and her lovers were never spoken again!

From deep within the sands the earth churned again, rocks along the edges tumbled down as it started to move and the priests who recited the prayer devoutly watched the white sands roll down as if into a pit. The younger acolytes falling back with shouts of fear, soon joined by the high priests and priestesses as the sands parted and a great scaled shoulder pushed upwards. Yells and screams as the shoulder rose up and then the large supple head tossed back, pulling herself from the earth as if emerging from the egg again Shishin rose to their calls.

Massive, the creature measured over a hundred feet from nose to tail. The plated scales were every color of gold, from the pure gleaming near white of her belly, to the darker burnished coloration along her muzzle and legs, her long form serpentine yet she held legs like a lizard. No lizard was no word for this creature, the spines on her head rose up as turned her head to look at those gathered and opened her jaws. Eyes as blue as the Mother River swirled regarding those that had pled for her, and serrated teeth yawned from the dark red of her mouth. Here was beauty, here was terror! Her tail coiled behind her as she reared back on her hind paws and her cast back to shriek to the skies.

Shishin's voice raised higher and higher, screaming out her rage and sorrow to the blue that rivaled the glitter of her eyes. Sucking in her first breath of air in nearly a thousand years before screaming again, the small two legged creatures scattered around her, screaming in babbling terror. Yet some stood transfixed at the beast that had risen from the heart of the earth, close enough to see the ruby red of her claws, shot through with a fiery orange. No color, the lava rolled from her talons to hit the sands scorching it into bubbled black glass. How dare they call her awake again, her massive wedge shaped head dropped down to regard them. Not even a mouthful, but she could let loose the fires of the earth to destroy them and engulf them. Her jaws spread wider and her tongue felt the burn of it rising against the back of her throat.

The trumpeting bellow cracked like thunder to the earth, snapping across the cloudless skies and echoing in the bowl. He had heard her in his despair, held within the stars arms so high above the earth that all was darkness and light together, the blue of the skies faded from his memory. Faded with the memory of her golden earth clad form beneath him taunting him with her silence, only the murmured words of the Dieties that dwelled in darkness kept him from death. From pining himself away into their hands, to forever reside at the feet of them and let their power push away the memories of love from him. Push away the pain.

The shriek had given him hope, roused him as the years had not until it had come again, the pain rattled through his bones. Her voice rough with disuse, yet he knew her. He would know her a thousand life times from now, should they be the little brown creatures of the earth, he would know her! His bellow erupted from his throat, deeper, masculine, the rumble caught on the skies as he fell from the stars towards his lover, his partner, his mate.

The priests and acolytes fell back, the pharaoh and his guard held frozen as they watched what their supplications had roused. From the skies fell a storm cloud, no, no storm cloud gleamed like this. The sun glinted off his scales, from the black coloration of the heaviest and brutal storms to the white- grey that brought down a mere sprinkling of wetness the male bellowed towards the golden female. His wings snapped open, beating above the earth until the sands began to raise up in a cloud, the Lord of Storms almost touching the earth. Held back by his gods, his promise, his Creators, the sand storm only built to scour the scales of the female beneath him.

Shishin stared at her mate as he came closer, bringing not the rains of the sky but the brutal attack of painful sand against her body. Reminding her that she had dreamed of wings, had she dreamed, arching like a cat she spread golden wings wide, flashing silver white, gold, red. They spread wide enough to stop the brutal assault on the little two legged ones, her rage forgotten at the sight of him bellowing for her. The ground-bound creatures could only watch and cower as her glorious form pushed up from the earth. The muscles along her haunches rippling before her wings caught the air beneath them and shoved it to the ground.

She rose steadily, more sands spraying out beneath her, the screams of the dying left behind as those not quick enough were left to be buried, to drown in the sand that quickly flooded the nose and lungs. Blood leaking from their torn skin to leak into the thirsty earth and even then she felt the leash snap, the life giving blood, a plea to the gods to bring back to rains. That they would give their lives so that the creatures could come together again. Even in her exaltation at being free of the earth she felt pity for them, poor little bugs. They only had so few breaths, and so many had given their lives so she could be free.

She rose swiftly into the air, her lighter body being forced into the cloudless sky, rising up to almost brush herself against her lover before craning her head back under a foreleg to look back at him. Her tail snapping near his muzzle as she bugled out her challenge to the male, to prove himself still worthy of her body, to remind her why she was his. The crystal clear sound rose up into the heavens, the earthen-creature's lusts soon attracting wisps of clouds, a scattering of white against the blue as she rose up towards the gold of the sun.

The remaining priests and priestesses were scattered, hidden within the confines of tombs, of cracks in the rock, the carnage spilled out in front of them terrifying to behold. Dead and dying lay over the place that had once housed Shishin, their bodies flung to the earth from the sandstorm. The ruby blood beading against the edges of it, being sucked down into the starved earth while they stared upwards. Two dots in the sky were rapidly growing fainter, what had they released back into the world? Were the gods truly cursing them, to give them the 'answer' that would only release to massive creatures that would hunt and slaughter all in their path?

Sithen chased after the golden beauty with a rumbling croon, thunder in his voice as he watched her move. His wings spread over his body almost like a glider, straining open wide to catch each currant beneath him as his mate arrowed towards the sun. She was beauty, she was all that was female, all that was life, all that was his and his alone! The swirling storm cloud eyes moved faster as the churning of his wings hit through the wisps of clouds, making them fall in on themselves and start to grow as his larger body was a length behind her.

Already the slit from his scales started to spread open, the scoop shaped tip sliding free until the splatter of thick pre-cum started to leak downwards along the edges, splattering free to brush the clouds. Where the female flew all was light and beauty and behind her the aroused male started to bring in the darkness, the wisps of clouds thickening, darkening beneath his wing as he bellowed again a moment before she arched her back and pulled her head in tight against her chest. For a moment the vision of her form was outlined in the azure sky, arching and straining, before the wings snapped to her side and he was forced to side slip to the side as she fell.

Shishin shrieked again, no pain in her voice only defiance and lust fueled her body. The sun and her own wing beats warmed her again, fueling her until she grew brighter as the blood pumped through her. She had forgotten she had had wings, forgotten flight, forgotten the feel of the air rushing around her and the height it took to draw in a breath so cold it could freeze the lungs. She reached a claw out for the sun as she stopped her ascent, feeling the brush of the Divine run through her, They watched. They celebrated with their avatar's, celebrated as lustily and coupled as needily. Her wings folded down against her sides and she let herself fall.

The golden dragon found herself facing roiling dark clouds beneath her, like a cape that spread from the drake it extended over the skies. It started out as a light grey but as his pre splattered over the thick fluffy stuff it darkened and boiled growing into a green-black that echoed the need of his own body. She was not immune, her own slit had grown enflamed with her need, plush and glittering, as hot as the earths core and her stomach churned with her desires. She fell into the clouds, the moist brush of them rubbing against her, wrapping around her body and the faint taste and scent of her lover upon them.

She kited through the storm clouds, her wings making them churn about her as she bugled out her challenge, Sithen's body seen in darts and hints. A scaled wing near her own and she pulled away to the side with a hiss, his tail lashing as he strained to catch her. From below the skies darkened almost to the night sky, those remaining humans stumbled into the tombs, trusting the dead to protect them. Yet all watched, they saw the clouds shift and move in the winds. A flash of gold too bright and metallic to be the sun, a part of the cloud emerging as the wings of the male as he snarled his need to his mate.

Sithen waited, his shaft soon slipping against his stomach full and heavy, the ridges standing out and the precum spilling out in thick strands to scatter over the clouds. Seeding them even as he would seed his mate, letting them grow as swollen as his need had grown for her. Her form was outlined in the clouds, stroked by them, they slid along her belly until he dipped down and came up again, spying the flash of darker flesh between her haunches, the taste of fertility on the air. His jaws gaping before he powered himself upwards with a burst of energy coming up higher above his female before snapping his wings against his body.

He dropped from the heavens above her, surprising her as she tried to flare her wings to brake and evade him. Hissing out her challenge to him before suddenly the weight crashed against her back and her golden wings hit against his stomach and back, his claws gripping at her shoulders and his jaws spreading open to let out a cracking roll of thunder before a bolt of blue edge lightening crackled out from them. Leaping from his maw to the clouds and flashing the earth below. That first bolt of lightning breeding more, chasing itself from cloud to cloud, blue and purple, white and orange. Flashing colors that were echoed in the swirling depths of his eyes.

He stared into the azure eyes of his lover and wrenched her form beneath him. His wings strained and burning with the ache of taking her weight. Somewhere he found the strength to force her about, his tail coiling itself around her own, from the base to the tail tip and his foreclaws gripping her own. His scaled pressed against her and his long serpentine neck twined around hers, brushing her spines and breathing in her scent once again. Heat and earth, clay and ripe growing things, fertility and lust. She spread her own wings, twisting their flight together as the length of his shaft rubbed up along her belly leaving a slippery trail behind.

Shishin stared up into those storm flecked eyes, letting herself go, she remembered. Gods above and below she remembered what it was to live again! To be a creature of flesh and desire, her wetness growing along her inner folds, glittering there as his shaft slid down her body until the scoop shape of the tip pushed up against her outer lips and his hind legs tightened, claws scraping over her scales hard enough to score him. Her body arching up as she shrilled out her pleasure as he dropped his wings and let them start to drop down towards the earth.

The girth shoved inside of her, the tip spreading and straining her inner walls and greeted her furrow with a sudden hot rush of his pre spraying into her, marking her body with his own arousal. The weight of gravity forced her up tighter against him as he let himself drive into her, straining her wider and wider, her inner walls soon clamping down around him. Her own wetness being sluiced off around him, hot and slick as it trailed against her hind legs sliding free to splatter into the clouds that wrap around them. She felt his muscles tensing up a moment before the wings snapped open again and his girth pulled back, bugling a sound of pleasure as his ridges plucked out of her.

His next thrust drove into her harder, prying her open until she struggled and twisted in his grasp. Each movement sending a contraction rolling down her walls to massage around him, pulling, thirsting for him as the earth awaited the fall of the rains. His precum spilling out constantly, rushing into her body and being forced outwards again as he begain to work inside of her. The beating of their wings timing it right as the hard ridges pulled back against the sensitive inner walls and then slammed forward again. The thinner part of his tip soon slamming up against the opening to that fertile egg chamber within her making her score her claws down his wides and snap her jaws. Oh how it ached, her body felt as if it were about to be ripped in two but the pleasure over road any other feeling.

Sithen felt that first clenching grip of her walls with a hiss of pleasure, his wings burned and caught the wind that their very mating summoned up. The lightening snapping around the pair of them and brewed the clouds until they looked deadly to those below, the sun was a distant memory, he was the Lord of Storms and Darkness, Stars and Winds. He had claimed her for his own and his thrusts were sharp and hard, prying his tip right against that tender opening while he snarled his pleasure and clutched her harder to stop her struggles.

Each beat down of his wings pulled his hips upwards, letting his glans just rest inside of her before thrusting forward again, the slippery spill of their mingled wetness soon spilling out constantly as the slams inwards tried to burrow past that opening. He knew instinctively what lay beyond that, her body was flooded with the potential for his seed to take root and he wanted entirely in. To invade her womb itself and he began to work harder, the ridges glittering in the light from the slickness of her body, molding around him and feverishly hot.

Below the people watched, fascinated horror on their faces as the conjoined pair could be made out when the lightning struck across the sky. The snarling beasts twined together in primal mating with an indulgence that neither cared that others watched or tried to stop them, gold and black-grey the sounds of them floated downwards as cracks of thunder and rumbles. The air itself seemed to have an electric feel to it and the heat no longer was dry enough to suck the air from the lungs. It was thick and swollen with humidity, the promise of an end to their drought.

Shishin let out muffled sounds, clinging to the male that drove against her cervix, hitting harder and harder until his claws dug in against her back. Tearing against her scales until glittering red drops of blood spilled out to mark his talons and slowly the slender bottle neck was forced to open up wider to her lover, the taut opening snapping down around his girth as he plunged into her completely and his scales grated against her belly. His wings started to work on either side of him, forcing them both up higher through the clouds. The lightening snapping from his wings, it crackled and strummed her body with jolts that made her spasm. Her jaws spread and tongue rasping against his neck as her wings worked in time with his own.

They burst out of the clouds and into the world above, the light flaring around them as they rose towards the sun itself. The coupling pair flaunting themselves before the gods that created them, knowing the deities were themselves joining together. To revel in their servants coming together before Sithen's roar vibrated her body and his shaft grew swollen, her body writhing against him as the pulses ran up along her passage and the tip thudded against her with his heart beat. She screamed out and twined her neck more tightly around him as her orgasm rocked through her.

Down the dragons fell from the world of clear light and blue skies, tearing violently into the storm clouds and lightening as Sithen's roar grew into a crack of thunder that vibrated the earth below. The first hot wash of his seed spilling out of him into the fiery fertile womb of his mate, rushing out of him in thick strands that felt as if lava were being poured into her belly! The golden female twisted and shrieked out her pleasure as her walls clenched and milked down around him, pulling to feel the pressured geyser within her, the splatter of it felt hitting inside of her and spreading the warmth outwards as she clawed against his side.

The clouds enveloped the climaxing pair, his girth plunging in short strokes inside of her, thick ropes forcing until her belly rounded out trying to hold it all. Her milking silken channel suckling around him to try and coax each drop he has, swallowing all that lust and desire into her. Her own thick wetness spilling out around him, marking his inner thighs and over his belly in a slimy coating of her nectar, so hot it steams in the coolness of the rain heavy clouds.

Sithen screamed out, finally untwining his neck and freeing his tail from his lover, the golden dragon pushing herself back and squealing out as his hardened ridges tore from her body. The rough exit leaving her folds spread open as his tip popped free and a thick strand of his seed splashed out against her before spilling out against the clouds. Filling them until the storm finally broke, opening the heavens up as sheets of rain pounded down towards the earth. So heavy one could barely see the hand out stretched in front of him.

It washed clean the blood stained sands of Shishin's home, flooding it while she used her wings to slow her plummet. Watching the male arching into the lightening that was called to his body, outlined in the white crackling energy that ran from nose to tail, the ridges of his still hard cock standing out as another hot rush of seed hit the clouds.

Shishin drank in that last long look of the proud male before her body was drawn back towards the earth, the heaviness of her oath pulling her down while her wings folded towards her back. Ignoring the bellows of demand from behind her, the screams of protest that she would leave, the blood had left her home. The blood had allowed her to free herself for such a brief time, anchoring the earth to the spirits of those little two legged creatures, now it was gleaming and pale once more as she dropped down.

Her paws sank into the sands as the water scented with her mates seed splattered against her sides and back, dripping from her claws and nose and she was so cold. So very cold, the only warmth was that which was churning inside of her stomach, almost boiling as the thick gouts of his seed rolled down her inner legs in white streaks, splashing towards the earth and pooling in the sands. It started to run down the slope of the hill, still steaming from the intense heat of the pair of creatures, mingled well with her own arousal. In time it would turn into a rivulet and then a stream, the birth of a new river to spread the fertility throughout the land.

She pushed herself down into the sands, the bodies of the priests, acolytes and priestesses tumbling in around her forepaws as she begain to wallow into it. The heat starting to warm her paws, if only she could get down further. Ignoring the frightened faces that peered out from their hiding as one of the gods' creations turned her swirling blue eyes to look around and wriggle deeper. Sinking and dropping into the earth's embrace as above the storm raged with fury as Sithen roared down towards his lover. Pleading, demanding, furious and magnificent in his rage as he watched the golden scaled form disappear into the heart of the earth again, away from his eyes and touch.

The priests watched as the storm drake slowly wore his fury away, and shot up and into the sky keening out a heart breaking cry to the heavens as once again the gods forced the pair apart by a boundary of earth and sky. They slowly started to come out, gathering their wounded as the rain flooded the parched earth, being soaked up as greedily as Shishin had pulled in her lovers seed. They formed a straggling line home, less then half their number. The gods had spoken, blood and life had been the price of bringing back the rain, of releasing their creatures.

Deep within the earth the golden form of the dragon queen slumbered, her mind casting out amused to find the little two legged ones forming a temple built for the draconic lovers. They sought to appease them as gods to keep them from erupting again to claim lives in their lusts for each other, and to keep the rains flowing over their arid land. Within her body the thick seed had pooled in her womb, sparking life as an egg was slowly growing within her, swelling her body so that the rains brought a fruitful harvest. Grain and fruits flowed down the Mother River and filled the pharaoh's palace, jewels and exotic trade was brought to the temples and offered in sacrifice with fattened beasts.

Years would pass, centuries before she would push forth the egg that Sithen had filled her with. Several thousand years until it hatched, a creature of the storms and sky and earth and lava, melded together. Each time the rains came Sithen called and bellowed for his mate in thundercracks and lightning, releasing his seed into the clouds desperately to try and make her remember him. And she lets her thoughts flow back into the earth, awaiting each storm to draw in his seed and flood the face of the earth with thick greenery, a testament to their love.

Yet, they would never be together, not until their young hatched and grew and erupted from the earth. A violent force of nature in it's very being to make volcanoes erupt, the seas to swell and flood the land and the earth to crack open to free it's mother from it's hold. They would only be together when the world had ended and their duties fulfilled. Until that day Shishin slept a slumber of satiated pleasure and felt their young growing as the world turned into another year.
