"Birth"
What is it about people that drive them to create the most dangerous of machines? Is it lust for power or merely for the money that they get for developing there creations? On the island of Okinawa there lives a scientist that goes by the name of Professor David Gorso, he had been the lead scientist for many years and had created many great tools that revolutionized society, there's just one thing he was really missing, a family. He had been in development of this invention for several years and after many months of working out the bugs he had finally created the one thing that both, his city and himself needed.
It was November 29, 2010 when it was announced that Professor Gorso was to be unveiling his new creation, they said it was going to reduce the crime rate in Okinawa and keep the people safe from any harm. The outside breeze felt good as he slipped into his lab coat. He knew everyone would be amazed at what he built.
"Professor, its about time." said his partner Querski.
Querski had been David's partner for ten years now, but he still had much to learn. He was young but he was not stupid, he was the guy that brought to the table the idea for the invention that was about to be revealed.
"Alright, let me get my papers together and I shall be ready."
He gathered up his research and pen and walked out the door to stage where reporters and students from other schools where waiting. Unlike in the past were humans rules there were also hybrids of animals that acted and looked almost like humans. Querski was standing by the podium waiting for the professor to come forth.
"Hello all my fellow humans and animals, today is a great day in our city's history. We have had many troubles with crime in this city, but no more. After today the criminals will run in fear at the sigh of out newest invention."
As he pointed to the sheet that covered up the invention who comrades started pulling up the sheet. As it was pulled up they could see something very familiar about the so called invention.
"It's just a human teenager!" yelled out one of the reporters.
The boy soon opened his eyes, his blue pupils shining in the sun and walked out beside David like a normal human would.
"Oh no I assure you he isn't, His name is C-1 or Chase as he call him."
David could hear knickers in the crowd so he had to resort to plan B. He spotted a young feline with long pink hair and tan fur and pointed to her.
"Young lady would you please step forward." he said keeping Chase at his side.
She meeped before walking through the crowd up to the stage.
"What is your name young lady?" he asked holding the microphone to her face.
"Naomi." she said shyly.
She looked into his eyes but couldn't see anything technical about him.
"What's up Naomi." he said without warning.
She jumped a bit, not expecting him to speak let alone smile.
"I-I'm good."
"I've got a present for you."
He reached down to the bottom of his leg, instantly it started to shift until a small compartment became visible. He pulled out a rose out and presented it to her. It made her blush a bit seeing the rose.
"It's for you."
Everyone gasped, not thinking they would ever see a being like this.
"He looks, feels, and thinks just like us, but he is not human in the least." said David putting his hand around Chase's shoulder, Chase looking back at him with a smile.
"What is he made of? All metal I presume."
"No, his skin is made of a fabric that feels just like human skin but can regenerate of lost. Chase her has the personality of a young teen and all the emotions of humans. He can feel pain, he can cry, he can be happy. Anything we can do he can do."
"Professor, it's a nice invention, but how exactly is a human robot going to help with crime?"
"Ah, we have a visual example of that. We have released one criminal into the street, but my son here can lock onto anyone with a prison chip in there skull and track them down."
Naomi watched as Chase's eyes started to glow bright blue and small symbols scattered around.
"Dad, he's here." said Chase.
Everyone started to look nervous knowing the criminal could be right next to them.
"Everyone calm down, Chase can you see where he is at?"
He turned around and pointed to the camera man.
"Right there."
Chase stepped forward and confronted him.
"So you think you can stop me from getting free from this cities boundary?" the camera man said pulling out a knife from his pocket.
"Nice knife." Chase said reaching down to his left leg, another compartment opened up and he pulled out a large black knife with a dragon on the blade.
"Mine's bigger than yours." he said.
The prisoner threw the knife, but before it could reach his chest Chase grabbed it.
"Heh heh heh nice try."
He then threw both blades at the prisoners knees. It hit bull's-eye and the criminal went down.
"Nice try, but you can't beat me." Chase said walking back over to his creator.
Everyone stood opened mouthed as they witnessed what had just happened. The reporters had dropped there notepads and were staring at the professor. The new age started then, Okinawa was now under the watch of a teenage robot.
