I'm a pawslut. I have been for a long time. Godzilla 1998 is what got me into the fandom. So, it's safe to say I've been around for a while and seen some stuff. To that end, today's microfiction collection is entirely focused on feet.I wrote one story per hour to go through some furry fandom history. No, really. Here are twenty-five microfics: One is being posted to my Telegram channel every hour today, and a bonus fic is included for those who are reading this on my gallery.

I'm a pawslut. I've been in the fandom for over two decades. What better time than [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) to show those facts off? As such, today, I'll be posting every hour with microfics that go through some of the history of foot-focused smut in the fandom, including a few pictures that some newcomers to the fandom may never have seen before.
To start, however, I'm going to show myself off. Sovrim's soles are a thing of beauty, after all. They're modeled after those of an actual chameleon, complete with three foretoes and two smaller hindtoes. It's a configuration that, in nature, allows chameleons grasp branches and hold tightly onto them. As a nine-foot-tall anthro, however, Sovrim's capable of holding onto you in much the same way, if the hybrid so desires.
An anthro's feet need to support walking upright, and with the unusual toe configuration, Sovrim's feet are instead much wider than normal to allow their weight room to settle. Even while the lizard's feet are resting on their heels, those fleshy surfaces have plenty of give to them, perfect for indulging a pawslut's desire to be smothered.
If you are feeling bold, you are welcome to tend to Sovrim's feet yourself in the same way the lizard has tended to so many others. Just know that you'll be held to their standards, and they have many years of experience worshipping feet. Be prepared to be judged accordingly.

For [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) let's go way back into the archives, shall we? This picture by Teaselbone was one of the first I remember seeing on the Internet, back when Digimon was still airing on network television. Even back then, I wondered why the Digimon even needed their so-called tamers. Turns out, they probably don't. Davis is certainly learning that lesson beneath Exveemon's feet, having made a poorly-considered joke about the Digimon being unnecessarily large.
What exactly does that insignificant human hope to accomplish beneath a champion-level Digimon like Exveemon? That foot alone is bigger than his entire body. The only reason it hasn't smashed down yet is because Exveemon's having too much fun taunting Davis. Even in the digital world, this feels entirely too real to the human trembling under that weight, with a mix of foot and crotch musk corrupting the air Davis breathes. All he can do is hope Exveemon relents before he's compressed into the ground like just another obsolete file.

Ahastar was another early influence in the fandom. Allosaur Playgrounds was among the first micro trampling animations made by a furry, for other furries to enjoy. Of course, a Compsognathus being stomped by an Allosaurus is not going to be enjoying that nearly as much as we pervs are, but isn't that part of the appeal?
Compies are naturally small, so surely they had to watch the steps of much larger dinosaurs. If a dinosaur were actively trying to fuck them up, though, there's nothing that they could do about it. A malevolent allosaur, for instance, could easily kick a compy into some mud, where the soft ground would allow it to take more than a single stomp. This allosaur has experience, too; its first stomp was onto one of the compy's legs, resulting in another pained scream from the insignificant thing and the removal of its ability to flee. With the maimed creature unable to escape, the allosaur can simply stomp with reckless abandon. Each stomp is followed by a wet *schllrk* as his foot is lifted from the mud again, dragging the compy's flattening body with it. Each heavy impact flattens the victim further into the ground. That broken skeleton may not even leave a fossil worth examining.

While many of my early influences in the fandom were stompy and violent, not all of them were. Tyrnn, for instance, did a wide range of things, some of them comparatively wholesome. The Dinosorceror, founder/owner of Lava Dome Five, was into a wide range of things as well. Sure, the weesaur was best known for being a millimeter in size--at the time, by far the smallest micro I knew--but sometimes he'd size up enough to be perceived at someone's feet, whether for a [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) portrait or just to ensure he was felt for a change.
Emerald dragon feet aren't just meant to be feared. They're meant to be appreciated and enjoyed, too. A weesaur leaning against them for a picture is just one example of that. The toe crotch that he learned against was somewhere between hide and scales; that thick, leathery surface provided ample protection for a giant's feet and just enough give for a micro to lean against. The dragon was perfectly capable of delivering a gentle toe-hug to a creature scarcely larger than those toes, and it would always get a smile from anyone lucky enough to receive such a snug. It's just a way to be friendly to those so much smaller, because sometimes, size differences can be wholesome too.

Markie was one of the most prolific macrofurry artists of the early-mid 2000s and worthy of a [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) tribute. He was also among the first to focus primarily on dragonesses--as opposed to dragons--back in an era when the fandom was overwhelmingly gay men. Markie also worked with a wide range of sizes, from a single knight being pressed underfoot to an entire army being annihilated by a single bare-pawed dragoness.
Being part of the crowd beneath a dragoness would be a nightmarish experience, too. With so many people around you, your view would be severely limited. You could look up, but why would you want to? Well, because you might at least catch a glimpse of that dragoness' sole before it comes down to destroy you too. The foot is already covered in blood and bits of viscera from the hundreds of other knights she's already erased. Those sole scutes will protect her from anything you can hope to throw at her; swords, spears, and arrows will bounce harmlessly off her body. The sky grows dark as her foot descends upon you. Make your peace now because there won't be enough left of you to bury after her foot impacts the earth.

Anyone else remember when DDR was a big deal? It was definitely a big thing in the mid-2000s, at least to some of us. It certainly made an impression on both myself and Ahastar, though I dare say Shira has made far more of an impression on the dinosaur, and one he'll be feeling well past [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay).
Some of those songs were very intense, too. A run of left-down-right-down-left translates to Ahastar's left hand being squished under one of Shira's feet, while his face and tail alternately get smashed in perfect rhythm by hir other foot. A twist in the pattern results in hir grinding some part of his body beneath hir, in a motion akin to a cigarette being snuffed out. Jump-heavy step charts lead to Shira trampoline jumping onto the deinonychus beneath hir. With each new song, Shira inflicts further damage onto hir 'dance partner' below. Shi's broken teeth, ripped out feathers, and burst internal organs. All Ahastar can pray for is that shi doesn't earn that extra stage.

While Diablo the Rex is well-known for his animations, he's also been around for a long time. This pic from early 2006 is proof of that and part of this [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) history tour. He might also be the first artist that I can recall drawing a worm's-eye perspective of a feral dinosaur.
When you're looking up at the raised foot of a dinosaur, you'd notice all those details of the foot. His pads are only in the locations where his weight settles. His sole pad is wrinkled, just slightly, where his foot flexes with the effort of stepping into the air. You've already seen the way his toes splay when he steps down, given the way his right foot landed just next to you; now you're seeing his toes come together as his right foot leaves the ground. His foot moves through the air effortlessly, which speaks volumes of the strength such a giant predator must possess. It's a good thing you were at this part of his stride, or you might experience being under his feet as well.

The mid-2000s were dominated by forums. This was after the time of e-mail lists, but before sites like FurAffinity were well-established and before social media really existed. RipRoarRex was one of those who came to prominence during that time, especially for the thick, meaty dinosaur feet he drew.
While most of his artwork focused on classic macro sizes of a few hundred feet, this picture of Rexar holding the planet between his toes seems fitting for a [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) tribute, given the outsized influence he had on some of us. For one, just look at how thick and wide those dinosaur feet are; the width of a paw is something not many artists played with at the time unless they were drawing a chunky-pawed anime character. Those soles have just enough detail to imagine how that weight would settle as he steps down; they're perfect for smothering if he's being gentle or delivering a bad end if he's not. Beyond the feet, though, that smug look from above is a trope that became more popular over time: He knows you (and the rest of the world) are looking, and he has all the time he wants to enjoy the power trip of having so many lives at his feet.

While many of the artists I remember from the early-mid 2000s focused on macro, Chaswari tended to focus on micros. Sometimes the creatures were small thanks to a potion or similar. Sometimes they were just naturally tiny. Whatever the case, however, they would always encounter a horrifically bad end when any of Chaswari's characters happened to find them. Because for some, [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) is a day of remembrance and fear.
This isn't even the most gruesome example of it, but it's certainly the closest view one can have of those feet without being destroyed by them. That one wolf has escaped for now, but so many others have not. While he isn't looking back, he can still hear all the sounds those paws are causing behind him. Those micros are defenseless beneath the bare feet of someone big enough to matter, and those pawpads aren't of any help either. That weight is going to settle onto the ground and their bodies are going to be destroyed by it. They're being snuffed out by a Sadist in a setting where their deaths are unremarkable. Whatever's left of them will be washed off in the shower and forgotten by the world. Only that one wolf will remember, assuming he survives the day, and he'll wish he hadn't.

After several years of working in fast food, I was very happy to get out of that industry. Perhaps I was overly eager, but can you truly blame me for wanting to destroy a store that I'd spent far too many years working at? It doesn't take [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) to give you an excuse to stomp a place you hate.
Truthfully, I don't even remember if this was supposed to be Shira's foot or some other giant that shi had summoned to destroy hir old workplace. It also doesn't matter, since when your foot is larger than the restaurant's dining room, you're going to cause some serious damage. Given the large pieces of rubble, this may have been a slower step than an outright stomp. Destroying something like this really should be savored. The roof and ceiling gave in first, raining chunks of debris into the store. Then the walls gave in, breaking in just a few places to collapse to the ground. Most of the people made it out, but not all; they're treated to either the sole or toes of a giant foot sinking into the foundation as if it were made of damp sand. Could it continue to stomp and turn the remains to dust? Of course, but sometime a single step is all you need to send a message.

I have a surprisingly large number of pictures featuring Shira as a giantess, but hir default size was originally just two inches tall. I used to sign messages as the micro-anthro-dragoness (hyphens added for readability) because all three of those were important. However, Timanth and Tanilys were well aware of my preference for being small and were generous enough to give me what I asked for on [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) : Timanth as the artist and Tanilys as the trampler.
The exact sizes in this picture matter far less than fact that Shira is small enough to end up completely covered by those two 3-toed dragon feet stomping hir into the ground. Shi's holding up for now, thanks to some draconic magic, and is even beckoning Tanilys to lower his other foot onto hir and completely overwhelm hir with his toes or soles. It's a lot to handle, sure, but shi's an expert in these things. Shi knows how to make this hurt only as much as the trampler wants it to hurt. And right now? This is more about two friends of different sizes indulging the need for a lucky little dragoness to get stomped silly and to enjoy the experience. As that foot stomps down and the other lifts, Shira will appreciate that unrelenting pressure bashing down upon hir time and again, and shi'll have to thank the dragon afterwards for letting hir have a taste of what being flattened would be like.

Kharnak was a very prolific artist through the 2000s, including a series of three ads for 'perfumes' inspired by various bodily odors his chimera character would have. Naturally, for [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay), his foot and its scent deserve to be on full display. His description on FurAffinity comes complete with tasting notes on what he imagines the smell would be like.
To focus just on the smell, however, would be a disservice to the power and majesty of the foot emitting that stink. His feet aren't perfectly manicured, nor do they have exaggerated filth; this is them in their most natural state, a theme he's explored in much of his work. His paws are rough in the places he's walked on for so many years, and those rough spots tend to hold onto the smell longer. Other portions of his sole are tougher, almost leathery, thanks to a lifetime of supporting his steps. Though he's posing for this ad, he knows a certain kind of person would enjoy this view and the look he's giving to the camera: the gaze of a chimera who is waiting for you to stop staring and start sniffing like you so obviously want to do.

Even though RipRoarRex has also written a story to explain the four-page sequence this picture is from, I wanted to highlight this image, specifically, on [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay). It wasn't just an enormous step up in quality from his previous art, nor an enormous step for a mega digimon; it pushed the standard of quality for the entire macrofurry fandom to another level.
Just look at the incredible details on Wargreymon's sole. There are a few drops of sweat showing the tremendous exertion he's undertaken just to lift it off the ground. There are some stray bits of dirt, including some larger clumps he's recently stepped on and the more diffuse remains of dirt he's gradually worked into the texture of his feet. The parts of his sole that bear his weight are the dirtiest, but the arch of his sole and the space beneath his toes remain comparatively clean. Rather than being dirty, those non load bearing parts of his foot have a natural sheen of sweat; sweat that has slowly built up over the course of a hot day. His foot flexes as he wiggles his toes, providing one last tease before he stomps down onto the viewer and brings this fantasy to its natural, inevitable conclusion.

Though I have focused mostly on macro content so far, I'd be remiss if I ignored foot fetish artists known for their non-macro things on [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay). Zen the Tiger, for instance, was drawing some wonderful paw-fetish artwork in the late 2000s. For example, a fennec may have some big paws to go along with his big ears, and such paws absolutely deserve to be loved.
He's lucky to be that flexible, isn't he? He's able to lean far enough forward to tend to his own feet and savor them in every way. Those dark pads are perfectly well-groomed, yes, but a pawslut is always going to indulge in the opportunity to worship such lovely things. It's not just about cleaning when it comes to licking a foot; it's about the sensory play too. His tongue really digs into his pads as he slurps them. Does he enjoy the way his paws feel against his tongue, or is his enjoyment from the way his tongue feels against those paws? Whatever the case, he's certainly enjoying it given that his dick's peeking forth from his sheath. For now, however, his focus is entirely on indulging in those delicious paws of his.

By the late 2000s, FurAffinity had established itself as a hub for most furry things, including the macrofurry community. From this point forward, my personal archive is rather incomplete, so I'll be focusing on some older pieces from FurAffinity for this part of the history lesson. It's the [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) art dumps by xtreme7 that motivated me to do a large writing dump of my own, so it seems fitting to showcase one of their older drawings as well.
Perhaps notable is that xtreme7 was among the first furry artists to occasionally post alternate versions of images with varying levels of filth. This picture, for instance, also comes in a clean and dirty version, rather than the filthiest variant here. There just is something, however, about that vile toejam. It clings to the toes as they splay, carrying a sickening squelch to the city below. It's a mix of congealed sweat, dirt, and whatever she's stepped on so far, all mashed into a disgusting grime that will entomb some of those humans she's about to step on. It's a truly demeaning and degrading end, as that unnaturally thick filth is their resting place, and yet she still thinks the humans are getting a treat for being trapped in her toe sap. While the humans might disagree, if they attempt to scream at her, that toejam will silence them as it forces itself into their mouth and makes them regret ever attempting to plead with her.

Diablo is well known for his animations starring Ahastar, but did you know his earliest 3D animations were from 2010? Dras, his deinonychus, was perfectly suited to the art of trampling, with his simple curves and flair for the dramatic. Both Dras the character and Diablo the animator understood that a trampling show can be art worthy of a [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) celebration.
This screenshot is from early in the show when Dras is just setting the scene for the show. Several bones broke when he stood on the fragile human, but that was only the beginning. The human was screaming; screams that were somewhat lost in the music of the club. Then, when Dras aggressively gestured to the human, he went silent. Perhaps he knew his fate was sealed. Everyone was here to watch him be trampled beneath a dinosaur. His death was to be part of the show as those roughly-padded soles ground against his face, crunched through his bones, and left him as a gory mess on the stage for some unfortunate crew member to mop up after the show. But this moment? This was a demonstration of his power over a human, where even a gesture was enough to trigger silence. It would ensure that his death could be heard by anyone who wanted to hear it.

Tan was among the first artists I can remember whose contributions to foot fetish artwork revolved primarily around birds. I, for one, think an anisodactyl bird foot--a foot with three foretoes and one hindtoe--is a perfectly legitimate contribution to [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay), especially when he's offering you the opportunity to lick.
So, would you? Would you take on the challenge of tending to an eagle as strong as he is? Clearly he's happy to have you staring at him and his feet, but you're expected to do so much more than that. It takes a lot of work to maintain that physique, and after a workout his feet badly need a massage. You'll have to watch for his talons, but perhaps that's a risk worth taking to touch the feet of a bird of prey. He'll be watching you closely the whole time, using his eagle eyes to confirm that you haven't missed a spot. The reward for satisfying him, with a massage, however, is the privilege of licking those feet. You'll have your work cut out as you slurp at his sole and between his toes, but such work its own reward. If you're brave, you could even suck his talons and feel those hard surfaces against your soft flesh. Whatever you choose to do, however, you'll remain at his feet until he's happy. You best get started.

Macros have different ways of showcasing their power over the creatures beneath them. Goddess Violet, however, relishes in the fact that just the stink and grime from her feet are fatal. To call it musk would be an understatement; a stomp into a city is like deploying a chemical weapon of mass destruction. Her victims might not even touch her paws on [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay); they might die from the noxious fumes before she even touches them. She was one of the first dragoness' I knew who leaned heavily into the smell being the primary focus and such thoughts have stuck with me in much the same way her stink would cling to the city she's stepping into.
Those who are caught directly beneath her foot are rewarded with a quick death. The rest of the city isn't nearly so lucky. The downdraft of her foot brings with it the overwhelming stench of a Goddess who hasn't cleaned her feet in ages. The stench along brings with it a horrific fog that chokes anyone unfortunate enough to inhale it... much like the several million people in the city who are going to die beneath her tonight. It's both corrosive and poisonous, resulting in a caustic nightmare that attacks the human body in several ways at once. By the time this fog clears, there will be nothing left but the skeletons of buildings and people alike, as the entire city will have been wiped out by the mere presence of her foot.

Thaz has long shown a smug superiority to micros at his feet. This picture is from 2014 but the theme is one he still draws today: It features a micro tending to Thaz's feet and, perhaps, regretting that decision. The micro is realizing this isn't just a [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) commitment, but one of long-term servitude to his new owner.
Pictures like this do a lot to show the sheer variety of ways a micro can be overwhelmed by feet and footwear. Sure, at the moment, his focus is entirely on the foot he's chained to. He's going to spend a long time licking the grime from Thaz's body. Some of it will be licking up sweat; some of it will be choking down toejam or dirt. All the while, the pungent scent of those toes saturates the air, a stink that builds with every breath and one that a micro could never hope to get used to. The micro's entire vision is taken up by just part of the dragon's sole, with a glimpse of the worn-out sneaker behind it. He's going to get well acquainted with the subtle differences in texture between the parts of Thaz's foot before he's done tonight, and he's going to get far more acquainted with the rest of Thaz's foot and footwear before Thaz finds a new slave to put in his place.

Ahastar has a way of bringing out the very worst in people who have sadistic tendencies and I, clearly, am no exception. Things with him tend to escalate rapidly and there's no chance of him surviving [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) if it's up to me. He doesn't even get a real chance to beg of mercy, given that Sovrim's already kicked the raptor's teeth out of his muzzle and left the bitch incapable of speaking. It's probably for the best; anything a dinosaur like him wants to say isn't worth listening to anyway, and deep down, he knows it too.
Even though Ahastar's been allowed to remain close in size to Sovrim and Shira, he is far beneath them in every other way. When Shira steps onto Ahastar's crotch, the dinosaur is rendered impotent in more ways than one; he can't even fight back with Sovrim holding his arms down. Once the dragoness finishes savoring the feeling of hir victim's genitals collapsing beneath hir, Sovrim breaks Ahastar's jaws by planting one foot directly on his neck and gripping his snout with the other, pulling it apart and making room for those feet to inflict further abuses later on.
Though this is the first page of a three-part set, this one does a lot to show how, even if you're close in size to a partner, your feet can do a lot of damage when you know what you're doing. And, much to the delight of Ahastar's player and the horror of Ahastar the character, Sovrim, Shira, and their author know far too much.

Pen has done a lot of foot related things over the year as she's explored different art styles. For [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay), though, I'm going back to the very beginning. To her traditionally-drawn work featuring monstrously beefy men who want nothing more than for you to get off on their powerful, smelly feet.
Machamp was just one of the monsters from the 80s and 90s she used in her lewd footjob doodles. His punches are powerful enough to knock you into next week, but the strength of his foot stink isn't far behind. Still, if you're the kind of pawslut who can endure that ripe toe-pit, you're going to get rewarded by a monster who aims to please. He'll even let you slide your dick into some thin stirrups so he can more easily squish, grind, and tease your dick into making a mess on his soles. MagPi has been among the strongest influences on my work in recent months. Her enthusiasm for creating art--and making a space where others want to be creative--has helped get me back into writing on a regular basis. So, as a final [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) post, it seems fitting to pay tribute to her most unapologetically powerful character: Apothem.
Where did he come from? How big is he? None of those questions matter to the mites who have this view right now. The next city over has already been destroyed, and it's possible he's obliterated far more than that. And yet, despite him being many miles tall, you'd swear he's looking right at you. Or, perhaps, right through you, as if his gaze is piercing your soul. When he speaks, it's as if the sound comes from everywhere and nowhere; his command to worship hammers against both the outside and inside of your skull. Some people obey by prostrating themselves before him, appearing as meek as they can in the presence of a superior power. Others resist at first, but soon the imposing stare from above breaks down their will and they, too, bow beneath him. His beak contorts into a smug smirk as he watches so many intelligent creatures realize they're hopelessly outmatched by him. Birds are above them, and he is the archetype of that fact of the universe.

Many of the sites from the early days of the macrofurry fandom have long since ceased to be. Even I don't remember where exactly this picture is from, only that the artist has long since stopped drawing macrofurry smut. This (now-removed) pic from 2001 is notable on [#PawDay](2023%5CDaily%20Writing%202023%5C05%20-%20May%5C2023-05-20%20Paw%20Day%20Collection%5Cindex.html#PawDay) both for its sheer brutality and as a reminder to save artwork you find hot in case you can't find it again in the future.
This is, perhaps, a more violent take on that scene from Zilla '98. This is what a giant lizard walking down the street might really look like. Cars wouldn't just get knocked harmlessly aside; they'd be damaged, flipped, crumpled, and generally go from a means of escape to an obstacle for the fleeing crowd to work around. Not everyone in the street will get away to safety, either. This tegu isn't large enough to consistently crush entire people in a single step. Instead, those deaths are going to be slower and more painful. Having your head crushed might be merciful; having your legs crushed and torso impaled would be a far more gruesome end. Still, what can you do except to run for your life? You're clearly not outrunning the giant, but perhaps you'll luck into a hiding space where you won't be snuffed out.
