A VERY short story starring blatantalt 's character Percy being oddly fascinated by vinyl-dragon 's character Sal's lava lamp.

Very, very fascinated.

For blatantalt as a prize for winning poker night!

"What... is it?" Percy asked, staring in wonderment at the brilliantly bright, orange glow, its reflection filling in his wide eyes.

"It's an Ovis 231." Sal said from behind him, flipping his fancy new yo-yo around with practiced ease. "Super lightweight, designed for experienced users only. Check this out, it's so light that I can-"

"Not that." Percy said with a dismissive handwave. "This." He said, staring in awe.

"...It's a lava lamp." Sal said, slightly deflated. He'd invited Percy over to his new place to show off his birthday present, a fancy high-end yo-yo. Instead, Percy seemed to be hyperfixated on the lava lamp he'd bought from a thrift store shoftly after moving in.

Percy cocked an eyebrow, not that Sal would know, since he didn't dare take his eyes off the mesmerizing lamp. "You're telling me there's lava in this lamp?"

"Not like, literal lava." Sal said. "It's just called that 'cause it looks like lava." He paused. "I think." He added, quieter.

"It's amazing." Percy said, breathlessly. He lifted his hands up, slowly, reaching out to touch this wonderful object.

"Hey! Careful, don't touch it, it's hot." Sal said, quickly hopping over and pushing Percy's hands back down. "Just look, don't touch."

Percy nodded, uncharacteristically compliant. Sal blinked, and studied the expression of his chameleon friend. He watched as Percy's eyes slowly followed the rising and falling globs of lava lamp liquid, looking in different directions as he watched them.

"Percy, are you watching carefully?" Sal asked.

"Mhm." Percy replied, eyes fixed.

"You're watching the liquid in the lava lamp, slowly drifting up, and up?" Sal continued. "Until it reaches the top, and hovers there, slowly cooling, getting heavier and heavier as it sits there, until..."

Sal leaned in slightly.

"It starts to sink. It starts to sink, down, and down. Slowly, sinking down. So heavy, that it sinks." He said.

Percy's eyes fluttered slightly and his jaw fell a little slack.

"So heavy. Sinking down and down, all the way to the bottom." Sal said. "Good. Good boy, Percy." He said.

There was a long pause, Percy blissfully watching the lava lamp with a dumb smile on his face.

Sal cleared his throat, awkardly shifting his legs to handle his erection, and then spoke up again.

"Now, Percy, you're very interested in my yo-yo. The lava lamp is wonderful, but you're equally excited by my new yo-yo. You're going to ask me a lot of questions about it right after the next blob of lava lamp liquid reaches the top. Nod if you understand."

Percy nodded.

"Good." Sal said, waiting patiently for the blob to heat and then slowly start to rise again.

"There it is. Follow it, follow it up. Rising up a little with it, not all the way up. Just enough that you're lucid enough to follow my suggestions. Following it, and following it, and..." Sal trailed off.

Slowly, Percy turned his head, and looked at Sal. His eyes looked a little unfocused, and there was a thin stream of drool running down his chin.

"Can I see your yo-yo now too?" He mumbled, clearly still deep in trance.

Sal huffed out his nose.

Fuck. Aaaagh.

Alright, just one quick BJ and he'd wake him up none the wiser.
