#4 of Great Tales of Antaris: The Lady of Luck

Hey you know I really have no idea what I write. I'm serious this will be the fourth story I've written and I've spent only what 6 days writing them. Well this is a story and you are the reader enjoy but this one will be on a darker note than the others don't know why but I feel it.

LADY OF LUCK 4

"The storms around the Blacklands are not natural as all creatures know; they warn back those who might be foolish enough to seek the favor of the dark lord who resides there. Though many have tried to gain power from this dark lord all end their life serving him in the darkness awaiting his call to wreak death and mayhem amongst the civilization they spurned for a chance at power."

Peter was sitting across from the old storyteller listening to him recite the tales of Antaris, many were tales of heroes who fought many monsters, others were tales of tragedy but all carried a warning of power unrestrained and unlimited.

"There is a story of a hero who has yet to come to this time it is said that he will destroy the darkness or this world he will have unlimited power and the choice to save or to sunder, he will try to save the one he loves but he will fail for it is his destiny to and no man can change his fate nor escape it."

The old storyteller groaned as he raised himself from were he had sat for the better part off a day and night telling tales to his willing audience but strangely enough the lady wolf with him seemed to be untouched by his tales.

The storyteller tottered off to his bed leaving Dawn and Peter sitting by the fire alone in each others company, "Never heard those tales before" Peter said finally

"Wouldn't of expected you to from your time" Dawn replied

"Wait how do you know about my time" Peter asked

"Wake up to yourself lad" came the voice of the storyteller from his tent "she's the Goddess".

"You're the Goddess of luck" Peter exclaimed "You know I've been worshipping you for years"

"I know and its been just lovely" Dawn replied

Dawn made some motions behind Peter's back, Peter suddenly felt awfully tired he stood up walked over to his bed the laid down and went to sleep. Then Dawn stalked over to the storyteller's tent and found that the storyteller wasn't in fact a storyteller, it was her brother.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Dawn whispered at Sokl

"Just making sure that your friend isn't totally inept in this time period" Sokl replied untouched by his sister's fury "You know just so he lasts more than five minutes against Shadow"

"For your information Peter killed three Genthre assassins only suffering an arrow wound and he has incredible magic skills" Dawn spat back

"Oh very impressive what do you think will happen now that your friend has killed three of the Genthre chief's sons and that Shadow now knows that Peter can use magic" Sokl spoke back a calm wall against his sister's anger "Shadow is probably going to continue to send killers for your friend here" making a gesture at Peter slumped form "until you can reach the Cloud's Reach" referring to a hiding place Dawn thought only she knew of.

Dawn slumped visibly as she digested the information that her brother had brought to her "isn't there anywhere we can hide on the way" Dawn pleaded asking her brother for help

Sokl sat there thinking for quite a while until he said "there is only one safe place on the way where you could stop but you'll be running the rest of the way if you do, My Temple."

Dawn was stunned allowing her into his temple was amazing; 'Sokl must really be worried if he is willing to allow me and Peter into his temple', Dawn thought.

Allowing another God into one's temple was suicide if the God wished you harm the other god being able to kill your high priest thereby removing your voice on Antaris.

"Are things rally that serious Sokl there must be-"

"No there is not Shadow has gathered forces that never should have been woken in the first place, he has started a war that neither of us can leave or we risk total nullification"

"What kind of word is nullification?"

"Well nothing really describes what will happen if Shadow wins that is why neither of us can fail!"

Then Sokl turned walked out of the tent and vanished, Dawn looked around Sokl was gone and so was his tent damn she hated it when he did that.

In the morning Peter awoke as Dawn hit him "Get up already or you'll have wasted the entire day"

Peter groaned and sat up.

"So you really are the Goddess of Luck" Peter said tentatively

"Amazing you remembered" Dawn said snippily

"Be nice" Peter replied

"Well let's get going" Dawn shouted after Peter had dressed

"But I haven't had any breakfast" Peter called after her

"Poor baby, well we can eat and then run from those assassins even faster after you eaten"

"There's more of them" Peter asked face blanching visibly

"Most definitely since you just killed their lord's sons"

"Suddenly I'm not hungry lets go" Peter said quickly grabbing his gear

Peter and Dawn walked on unaware of the eyes that were watching them intently, watching their every move getting read to report back its master and from what it saw it knew the master wouldn't be pleased.

Shadow cursed loudly at what he saw and then his face turned deathly white as he heard the approaching footsteps of one of the Genthre not that they could kill him but they could make his life vastly more unpleasant.

"The Lord wishes to speak with you, Shadow" came the voice of the Genthre who stalked his halls "He is most displeased about what has occurred" The Genthre's voice was harsh and guttural carrying definite hints of what the Genthre Lord was going to express.

"I will be there soon" Shadow replied steeling his face and soul for showing weakness amongst these things was tantamount to suicide even for a God. 'This was going to be most unpleasant' Shadow thought as he approached the halls of the Genthre Lord, the Lord was volatile at the best of times this could require a demonstration of power if he wasn't careful and he didn't want to kill all of his best assassins, yet.

As Shadow predicted the Genthre Lord was in a total rage as Shadow walked in the Lord rose from his chair and swore at him, in most societies this wouldn't be serious but in Genthre society this was almost a gladiatorial challenge and most uncommon. Shadow blinked as the curse faded from the room it was far more serious than he thought.

"Move it" shouted Dawn as Peter struggled behind her then Dawn ran back to Peter" maybe we should wait for the assassin it would be quicker" Peter made a sound that signified that he found the remark utterly lacking in humor. Dawn laughed and sped off ahead to wait for Peter after a while she sat down and began to plan their race for safety they would have to pass through what two villages on the way that was bad but what worse was the last part of their race would be through the mountains which was dominated by thin passes and bandits, oh yes this would be interesting.

Finally Peter staggered up to Dawn "Try going a little slower this time I am the one carrying most of the gear"

"Well we'll have to do something about that won't we, if we continue at this rate we might as well just waltz over to the Blacklands and walk into Shadow's castle."

"Who's Shadow" Peter asked

"He would be my brother and the one who is trying to have you killed" Dawn replied

"Why does he want me dead?"

"Because he wants to rule Antaris"

"So just where are we going?"

"As far from my brother's powers as possible, we have a little time until he realizes his assassins are dead but after that we'll have to run for your life"

"Great so I have a megalomaniac trying to kill me oh by the way what the hell were those assassins they sure as hell weren't anything I've ever seen before?"

"They are the Genthre and they definitely don't exist in your time they are humans who have been transformed by cursed magic and my brother has evidently managed to buy their loyalty, for now."

"So I'm fighting cursed humans assassins as well just keeps getting better doesn't it?"

"Well we have one safe point on our way to Cloud's Reach my brother's temple"

"Are you insane you're talking about walking into Shadow's temple?" Peter asked tensely

"No, not Shadow's temple my other brother Sokl" Dawn replied giving a long suffering sigh "Well we'd better get going or we'll never get there" Peter moaned and pulled himself upright and walked after Dawn.

Dawn and Peter walked on until Dawn felt that they had covered enough ground for the day, "Gods I feel like I could sleep for a week" Peter moaned.

"No, at the most a day and a half" Dawn replied in mock seriousness

Peter slowly began set up camp shrugging his shoulders to release the muscles as Dawn started the fire and chucked some food in the pot to make a stew for their dinner "How long will it take to reach Cloud's Reach, Dawn?" Peter asked

"No more than a month we should make it there before winter hits" Dawn replied

After they had eaten Peter set up the bed, he never did find his bed after the first night, and he and Dawn lay down together. Peter cuddled up to Dawn and began nibbling on her neck and caress the fur on her back "Not so tired now Peter" Dawn asked mockingly as she rolled over to kiss her love.

"Never when I'm with you" Peter replied breathlessly

Dawn allowed her hand to slip down to Peter's sheath teasing the tip of his cock out her other hand slid up to Peter's head pulling him deeper into the kiss in barely constrained lust. Dawn moaned around Peter's lips as he caressed her treasure her lower hand gripped Peter's cock and slowly jerking on it. Peter involuntarily humped forwards into Dawn's hand at her grip; Dawn slowly guided his cock to her pussy and rubbed it against the lips of her sex lubricating Peter's cock in her fluids.

Peter groaned as he thrust forwards with his hips entering Dawn's tight passage pressing forward until he hilted himself within her making Dawn break the kiss desperate for breath panting with lust. Peter slowly withdrew then thrust in again slowly building up speed till he was pounding away within Dawn, Dawn gripped desperately at Peter's back as he humped into her quickly bringing her to orgasm.

Dawn lets loose with a scream of pleasure as her orgasm hit her, her muscles milking Peter's cock pushing him over the edge. Peter gave a howl as he came inside Dawn as her muscles milked his cock as she came both their orgasm mixing together, their howls breaking the night.

Dawn and Peter collapsed together both exhausted by the hike and each other they soon fell asleep in each others arms caressed by the sounds of the night. Neither heard the assassin breaking into the camp nor did they hear him enter the tent. The assassin drew his blade silently then with a shout of triumph brought the blade whistling down.
