The explosian rocked the aircraft, knocking the young German Sheapord against the wall as his friend tried to keep the aircraft stable. With a shout the Persian feline tried to wake his friend to no avail.

Seeing that the craft was a lost cause as the other motor began to smoke and flame, the athletic young male locked the controls and grabbed the single parachute, then wrapped his arm around the unconcious dog, lugging him to the door in the back of the plane and kicking it open. He wasnt about to let his friend die in there.

Quickly he slipped his friends arms through the straps and jumped out into the void of free fall. Scrambling he wrapped his legs and tail around his charge and worked to strap the clasps shut as they fell. One look at the strap tag told him enough.

Weight limit: 300 pounds.

Disregarding this, he clung tight to his friend and pulled the release for the chute. As it sprung open and the jerk of air filling it jogged him, he sighed in relief. His friend was safe, thats all that mattered. They were still several thousand feet in the air.

A small ripping sound made its way to the Persians ears and he looked down. The stitching was overloaded on the shoulder straps and it was tearing. He knew he only had a few moments before the chute became useless and fell apart. So closing his eyes, he reached for his phone and turned on the camera.

After a few minutes of recording he kissed his friends forehead, slipped the phone in the chutes pocket, and let go. He watched as he fell, his friend slowing quickly as he fell faster. His only regret was that he couldnt have spent more time with him. At least it would only hurt for a second... A whisper left his lips as the ground rushed toward him. "I am sorry...."

****************

Lechian woke up screaming and sobbing, sitting straight up.

Why... why had Raal let go...

Lechian slowly swung his legs over the side of his bed and sat there sobbing with his head in his paws. It had been a year since their accident, and he still bore the pain that his friends death had caused in him.

Slowly standing, the young dog walked to his computer and sat down, searching his folders for the video. In silence he sat there watching his friends last words as they fell. Suddenly he was racked with another wave of pain and tears.

"I miss him so much...."

This is a concept story i came up with for a later date. Currently one of my two mates is working on editing and adding his own to it for fun and i may upload that here later. Tell me what you think.
