Finn reached up and knocked quickly on the door to Vulcan's house, bouncing on their paws happily as they did. They'd sent him a text just a minute ago that they were about to arrive, so it was only a few moments before the door swung open, the large body of their date looking down at them with a massive smile. Their face instantly lit up at the same time as Vulcan's their twin tails spinning quickly behind themselves at the sight of him.

Near instantly, the big typhlosion bent down and scooped the little buizel up into his arms in a massive hug, holding them close in his tight grip. They immediately hugged him back, nuzzling into him closely, feeling a big kiss from the typhlosion holding them.

"Happy anniversary, dear!" Vulcan said excitedly, the buizel's muzzle still buried in his chest, slowly letting them back down onto the ground, a massive smile stretched across both of their faces.

"Happy anniversary, Vulcan..." they responded, laughing to themselves, overflowing with happiness. They smoothed out their shirt a bit from where it had wrinkled when Vulcan picked them up. They wore an unbuttoned dress shirt over a simple colored t-shirt, and a pair of dark jeans underneath it, hiding the diaper underneath. They'd gotten much more comfortable with wearing diapers out in public thanks to Vulcan helping them do it more and more often, though it still always gave them a little bit of a thrill to do.

Of course, the typhlosion was padded as well, with much less shame about it too - he usually wore comparatively poofier diapers even for his size when he went out, not caring about people noticing. He always teased Finn about how worried they got sometimes about people noticing, promising that only people who were looking, and who knew what to look for, would ever notice. Of course, Finn was able to easily see the outline of the bulky diaper beneath the typhlosion's own jeans, giving them even more of a blush as they looked at it. He had on a grey jacket above that, over his own t-shirt.

"Well, are you all ready to head out?" the typhlosion asked with an excited smile, clearly looking forward to the day ahead of the two of them. "Need a change first?" he teased, only causing Finn to squirm a bit more on the doorstep of his house.

"No, I'm good, I only just put this on before coming here..." they said, shifting in place as they felt the bulk between their legs. Vulcan chuckled above them, stepping out of the door and shutting it behind himself, ruffling Finn's hair before putting a handpaw on the buizel's shoulder.

"Then let's head out!" he said with a smile, stepping down the stairs, reaching down for Finn's handpaw, holding it gently as they walked across the driveway together. Vulcan always loved to hold hands when they were out, and it always made Finn feel even more embarrassed - with their height difference, they had to reach their paw up a bit to hold onto Vulcan's making them feel extra little - being led around outside by their daddy... it felt really nice.

The pair of them walked down the sidewalk along with the many other pokémon taking walks today, whether with a destination in mind or not. They held onto each other, always close - their paws always linked, occasionally leaning slightly over to gently bump against the other, just to feel them there. Walking in big crowds usually made Finn a bit nervous, but ever since they'd started going out with Vulcan, it was always so much easier. Feeling the comfort and security of a big, warm paw holding onto theirs, and knowing that he was always there to keep them safe and happy... the love always drowned out the anxiety.

And the comfort of being swaddled in some padding underneath their clothes helped with the comfort too. Feeling safe, warm and protected.

Before too long, they stepped out of the crowded sidewalk and onto the path that they'd walked a few times before, and which they'd first walked a year ago on their first date. The dirt of the forest path beneath Finn's paws was so much better than the concrete, and they immediately felt even more at ease. With a few steps into the park, the sounds of the commute faded away, replaced by the gentler sounds of nature.

It was only a few steps in that Finn let out a hefty sigh, feeling so much better already - not realizing that they'd been holding it in for a while. Being out here in the comfort of nature always felt so much better. As they reached up and stretched their arms above their head, they heard a gentle, warm giggle from Vulcan, who couldn't help but smile at their immediate reaction to stepping out of the street. Feeling a little bashful as they always did, Finn smiled back, leaning into his fur. With an arm happily wrapped around their back, the two of them walked in a bit further, following the side trail of the nature park.

A short bit into their walk, the sight of the café came into view once more, still standing just as it had one year prior. They'd made a point to come here each time they walked through the park, and occasionally Finn even felt brave enough to mix up their order a bit... so long as Vulcan was there to encourage them to try something new. Today was a day for comfort, though, and as they approached the stand, Vulcan smiled at the mienshao inside, who gave a quick nod to the two of them, having seen them both come by plenty. He rattled off each of their favorite drinks, and leaned against the counter as they waited for them to be made, nobody else in line behind them. It was only a few minutes before their cups were handed over, and they made their way off.

Though Finn stopped for a moment in confusion as Vulcan kept walking forward, past the outdoor seating where they usually stopped to drink their tea and enjoy each other's company. With a few quick steps to catch back up as Vulcan stopped for them to follow, they looked up at him with confusion, glancing back at the tables and chairs set up in front of the café stand.

"Are we... going somewhere different this time?" they asked, a hint of curiosity in their voice, getting a warm chuckle back from the typhlosion, his warm paw resting on their back.

"I've got something in mind, if you'll humor me," he responded, giving a wink to Finn, walking back onto the path with them. Not sure what he was planning, but wanting to experience whatever he was thinking about for their anniversary, they happily followed along behind, their brain running to try to figure out what it might be. It wasn't long through before they were caught off guard again, Vulcan turning to them in the middle of a trail, beckoning them towards him, and stepping off of it into the grass.

Confused but quite curious at this point, Finn followed, walking through the grass behind them. While the taller typhlosion had to gently duck under or move some tree branches along the path, Finn just followed in his wake, unaffected by the trees above them. They took a look at the ground below the two of them, seeing no signs of an old trail that had been forgotten, or of a new one that anyone had started forming, though as they glanced back up, their eyes lit up at the sight ahead of them.

In a small clearing sat a picnic blanket, hammered into the ground with a stake at each corner, keeping it from blowing away. In the center of it sat two objects - a picnic basket, of course, as well as a bouquet of flowers, all bundled up together. Vulcan stepped to the side to let Finn enter the clearing, the small buizel looking around with wide eyes, tears starting to form in them as they turned to the typhlosion. Wordlessly, he grabbed their paw and brought them over to the blanket, sitting down on it in one motion, and motioning for them to do the same.

They slowly brought themselves down onto the mat, reaching out for the bouquet of flowers, picking it up and looking over it. A small tag attached to it read "With love, from Vulcan", with a heart drawn on it - half in red ink, and half in orange. Unable to hold back any longer, the buizel leaned over onto Vulcan's chest and hugged him tightly, a few tears escaping from their eyes.

"I... I didn't expect... this..." they said, slowly pulling away, gingerly setting the bouquet on the ground. "How long have you been planning this?"

"Since you came up with the idea to have our date be a walk in the park, silly," the typhlosion responded, playfully batting them on the shoulder. "I wanted to make it special, and I know you love spending time in nature, so... why not eat out here? Now, let me get the food..." he said, opening up the stocked picnic basket and pulling out the plates he'd put inside previously. He spread the food out across the picnic blanket, tons of different berry dishes that he'd likely cooked himself, all of which smelled quite nice together. Finn's mouth couldn't help but start watering, and as it was all placed around them, Vulcan chuckled, motioning for him to dig in.

Finn grabbed a plate of food, looking like he was about to chow down, before noticing Vulcan, sitting with his arms open wide and his lap empty. Smiling bashfully at him, the buizel climbed up, snuggling into his chest for a moment before getting right into eating. Vulcan chuckled once more, grabbing some food for himself to eat, the two of them happily stuffing themselves together. Occasionally, one of them reached to the other's plate to either steal a bite for themselves, or to feed their partner, either eliciting a giggle and some teasing as they ate.

As the eating slowed, Finn let out a satisfied sigh, closing their eyes and leaning against Vulcan's chest. It felt wonderful just to be here with him, to hold him close - one ear pressed against his chest to hear his heartbeat, the other open to listen to the quiet sounds of nature around them. It felt warm and comfortable right here with him, and they truly never wanted to leave.

With the larger pokémon finishing his larger portion, Vulcan made a satisfied sound, one paw moving to rub his stuffed belly, and the other wrapping around the buizel on his lap, who was already curled up against him cutely. He pet their back, his other paw moving to gently run over the fur on their head, getting a smile from them. He closed his eyes for a moment to steady himself and build up a bit of courage, finding his voice, before he was finally able to speak.

"Finn..." he started, getting the buizel's attention, their eyes opening curiously and staring up at him from his lap. A gentle smile fell over their face as they looked up at him from below, and he couldn't help but mirror it back at them.

"I... I've been wanting to ask you something important, and it's difficult... and you can always say no if you aren't ready. You know that, right...?" he asked, vaguely, getting a reassuring nod from Finn. His paws continued to run over their back, the other down their arm, the feeling of their fur under his paws feeling so comforting and wonderful, giving him the courage he needed to finally ask.

"Would... would you like to move in with me?" he asked, taking all of his strength to finally ask them the question that he'd been wanting to ask for months now. They'd been spending so much time at his house, and it was always so much better when they were there... and he really wanted to make it all of the time. His worry played over his face as he looked down at Finn, who slowly sat up from where they'd been reclining against his arm, looking up at him in the eyes.

"I... I've been dreaming that you'd ask me that..." they said, a blush on their face, one quickly mirrored on Vulcan's. The two of them looked at each other for a moment with hope in their eyes, a dream playing through their minds, and in front of them at the same time.

It only took a second for Vulcan to kiss them.
