Paw Prints In The Snow

We began our adventure,

Very lost and unsure,

Not knowing our location,

Or our destination,

Leaving paw prints in the snow.

We felt alone at first,

Close to our worst,

But then we found each other,

And went forth together,

Leaving paw prints in the snow.

We ran and walked,

And sometimes stopped,

But always began again,

With a new idea and plan,

Leaving paw prints in the snow.

We climbed the tallest mountains,

Played in the fanciest fountains,

And slept under the open night sky,

Dreaming we could fly,

Leaving paw prints in the snow.

Now the adventure ends,

With us the best of friends,

Time comes for us all,

Whether we are big or small,

Leaving paw prints in the snow.

The conclusion of one journey,

But do not worry,

A new trip will begin,

And I hope we meet again,

To leave paw prints in the snow.
