Put this together as a project for myself when I felt a keen lack of writing focused around my kobold characters antics. It also borrowed the character of Radasus with his permission

"And for the first time in three seasons, we have a total victory! Let's hear it for our talented winner!" The excited, lilting voice of the suited cobra woman called out.

Lights flashed, confetti rained from on high and the audience cheered for Eshri, the blue scaled kobold who stood on the stage. Only one figure in the entire gallery was upset, the fellow who had made the convoluted contraption that was the forefront of the show.

The program's premise was simple, volunteering contestants would be restrained in complex and difficult bindings and equipment. Each season had a unique setup but all contestants faced their season's traps the same way. They were given an hour to escape and every restraint they shed gave them a cash prize, which they would claim in full if they were free by the end. Naturally the final parts were the most difficult and had a bounty to reflect that.

In all, no one had escaped the last three steps, which had kept the show very profitable but someone daring to win? It angered Chips, given that the prize was ludicrously large, it would devour the profits of the last six shows! All to one kobold!

It was supposed to be impossible. The squirrel had tested it with many people of many body sizes and strengths, the best time that had been clocked was more than two hours. He excused himself from the show's proceedings, a foul temper having taken over his thoughts as he left.

His presence wouldn't be missed, after all the show itself was centered around its presenter, implying that she was the one behind it all. It also wasn't her money being paid out. The rest of the season continued apace but Chips was fixated on that one night, it plagued his thoughts so much that he was driven to distraction while supposedly designing the rig for the next series.

The fact someone had won the contest was truthfully marvelous for the show, it brought in a wealth of new hopefuls and hooked in more viewers. If it was truly possible then it was worth trying!

Chips was blind to it, he deluded himself into thinking that kobold had ruined him. His reputation and his funds were all fully intact but he saw them as lacking, not to mention the blow to his pride. No, he tinkered in private, others were led to believe he was working as expected but he'd actually designed something new. Something with a very particular test subject in mind.

Given that some of the items he required were also frequently associated with subjects that were taboo to the everyday audience, he'd also grown a list of contacts from before he'd managed to turn his show into a franchise. A few calls, a down payment and he was all ready to get back on top.

Their target was a single kobold, one whose skills wouldn't help her before they were done. The crew weren't even subtle about it, sure they wore fake uniforms alleging them to be plumbers but anyone would have felt suspicious seeing four, stronger than average figures marching together.

They'd knocked on Eshri's door in broad daylight.

Eshri had been in her bedroom, still dressed quite warmly despite what she was getting up to. She looked up at the sound of the knock, turning to the other kobold who shared the room with her. "Of all the times. It's probably nothing." she said, trying to get back into the mood as she straddled on top of the softly wrapped up form of Radasus.

The knocking continued, louder and more insistent. She grunted, reaching to loosen the clipping collar around his neck. "In case you want to get out, I'll go see who it is. Hopefully I'll be back in a second."

Radasus mumbled in disgruntled jealousy, wanting to be the focus of the attention mostly because of the situation he was in.

Eshri shut the door behind her, locking it just in case it was someone nosy who couldn't be sent away.

The kobold had opened up to see who it was and had been immediately thrust back as the two large figures at the front barged in. She squealed in shock, turning to retreat but a strong arm hooked over her chest and pulled her back. A heavy hand pressed over her mouth as the four figures entered her home, two immediately checked every other room in case she wasn't alone.

The two with Eshri used duct tape to silence her from shouting, then used simple zip-ties on her wrists to tie them behind her back. They were more than strong enough to force her into one of their 'tool bags'. The bag was padded to give it shape and stop it standing out, it was hollow and empty, with more than enough room for a kobold. Her heart was pounding, in her fight she'd dropped the key.

"Hey, this door's locked!" One of them yelled.

"Quiet you idiot, if there's someone there they'll know we're looking now." One of the two had said. She noticed a key on the ground and tossed it to the caller when they popped their head back. "Try this."

Meanwhile she turned back to the bag, locking the zipper at the top to stop it coming loose. It wouldn't hold an escape artist for too long but they didn't need security to get from here to their van.

The caller returned a moment later, he had a swaddled form in his arms, wrapped in several layers of nylon, like a repurposed sleeping bag. They'd reattached the collar, keeping the kobold within stuck where he was. However, now it had gone from kinky play to sudden peril, he was squealing in panic.

"What? Another one?" The leader asked in confusion.

"Our target was a kobold who lived alone. That's what we were told. Any idea which one it is?" The carrier asked.

"Not important at this point, we have to take them both or we'll be in deep shit." She responded. "Good thing we arrived when we did though, I guess!" She said. "Imagine if this little handful was in the living room watching us enter." It was lucky they'd had foresight enough to keep a second bag ready. The bundled Radasus was slipped inside and then also zipped and locked.

The two kobolds fought for all they could, spurred on by the need to save their partner but just as Eshri found a weakness to exploit in the bag she was lifted and moved. The band moved together, their exploration concluding that there wasn't a third surprise. They moved to their van, entering, closing it behind them and then placing the bags in inconspicuous, individual lockers.

The vehicle thrummed as their crime finished and they made it away without so much as a suspicious glance cast their way...

Chips was practically bouncing in excitement when he saw the van pull up. The blue scaled kobold, Eshri, was brought out by the thugs, slung under the arm of one. She'd managed to escape the ties and bag during the trip, though even more duct tape had been slathered over her muzzle as penance for removing the first patch. The squirrel's eyebrows rose questioningly as he saw the other bag being brought forth.

Radasus was still within all his layers, he'd already been tired thanks to Eshri from before he'd been tucked away.

"Why are you bringing that thing here? Just bring me the kobold." Chips jabbered as he flapped the others away.

"There were two of them, you didn't tell us which was which but you look happy with this one." The leader said, shaking Eshri. "Want us to dispose of the other?"

Chips looked up in confusion, then the colour drained from his face. He was a little out of his comfort zone with the kidnapping but the suggestion of making a possibly hapless innocent vanish was too much. He shook his head. "No no, I'll find a box or something for them. We can decide what to do about it later."

The two kobolds were brought into the workshop, it was hidden in the woods outside of town. While not completely off the grid, it was subtle enough that Chips had kept it as the main centre for his trap designs. They were always kept a secret, every tester and supplier had to sign non-disclosure agreements so that no one could cheat on the show. While it wasn't the best idea for him to conduct his revenge in a place that could be tied to him, it was the most secretive place he had access to.

He'd inspected Radasus' predicament and surmised that he was more than helpless already. He sent the covered up kobold to be stored in a padded box that had been used to transport some of his equipment here. The soft lining worked well to muffle all his outraged shouts and grunts so that Chips could focus.

Eshri was brought out after that and held up by two of the figures in front of the squirrel. She glared at him as he preened, sauntering slowly forward and raising his hand to tear off the tape.

"Ah!" She grunted. "Who are you!? What do you want?"

The squirrel chuckled. "Oh, you might not know me but I know you. Eshri, the kobold who destroyed my career. Ring any bells?"

Eshri looked at him with no recognition on her face. He smirked, that would work in his favour maybe. "Well, I've been dying to get my hands on you ever since you escaped. And now, it's time for you to be my latest tester, we'll see if you can squirm your tiny lizard way out of this!"

His words still left Eshri clueless, in fact her own assumptions were way off base. She'd ended up captive to several nefarious fellows before, this squirrel could be serving any of them.

"Bring it on, creep." She snarled at him.

Chips flinched, he didn't think of himself as a creep, this was simple payback! Again he shook his head to clear the thoughts, lest they ruin his momentum. He gestured the thugs forward. "You'll find my staff are a bit more rough handed than the ones you had last time." He said, grinning.

He gave them his instructions which they followed quickly with little care for their target. Stripping her down to just her underclothes was the first step. Her face flushed with embarrassed humiliation, though it was tempered by relief that she wasn't being totally bared.

Next they dragged her over to a padded table and she was pinned in place while they brought out rolls of durable bandage which were immediately introduced to her legs and face. Seemingly the priority at her head was silencing her, as they wrapped all the way down her muzzle, then sideways behind her head and over the lips. The one in charge wove that solidly into place three layers thick before her thighs were even fully coated in one layer. Her eyes winced at how tight the result was, pinning her jaws and pressing into her lips.

It was a precise bandage wrapping to be sure. They overlapped the bandages enough that her squirming was kept to a minimum by the tightness. Her legs were bound into one as the cool cloth was pushed over and around the knees, then down the shins. The small kobold was simple for the larger figures to push around as they wanted. No matter how she pushed back or tried to scratch and claw, they easily evaded her.

The last hint of her leg's blue scales vanished under the white cloth before they turned attention to her upper body. Her arms were pinned across her chest, hands to the opposite shoulders and they started this wrap from the neck down until it met the hips.

Even with no one holding her legs the entire affair was too tight for her to pull loose from. That same tightness was being constructed mercilessly around her upper body, too. "Mnngh, phhhhmnph!" She tried to mumble in angry defiance at their pushing and pulling. They lifted her shoulders up to turn on the head as their final target.

Chips scurried forward now it was safe, poking her firmly on the arms. "I'm sure the great Eshri could get out of this in a few minutes but we've got to get you really comfortable first. Remember, leave one eye." The squirrel said to those binding the kobold. "And you, come with me."

He left with one in tow as more bandages came out. Eshri's face was swamped by the thick cloth, over each of her horns, her head and indeed the one eye. Her nostrils were covered too, making her breath feel hot and close but it was sufficient to get through. They pulled out one large, longer and thicker roll of bandage than any of the others, which they started to wrap from her toes, then upwards. Building a single, even layer over the top of the massed weave. It even pinned her tail down the back of her legs.

She was lifted off the table in one hand as they tucked it under and over her again and again. Eshri could only mumble in outrage as soon enough her whole form was snared over, just the area around her left eye spared.

A metal clang alerted her to Chips' return, between him and his helper they'd borne a round barrel over. Clouded, viscous liquid with a strong chemical scent rested within.

The wrappers lifted Eshri up without ceremony and took her over to it before plunging her neck deep into the barrel! She was held there while they let the fluid soak into the bandage, Chips himself stepped forward with a thick brush that he dipped into the liquid and painted over the bandages at her head. "In case you hadn't picked up by now, this is my new, special glue."

Eshri's brows twisted up in concern at that. "Oh, careful what expression you pull, this stuff is far stronger than that prop-stuff we used to just keep things neat on the show."

The hints were starting to pile up to the point Eshri had sussed out that this was no crime-lord she'd crossed but rather something to do with when she'd escaped on tv? It made no sense given how the contest runners had been perfectly sincerely charming.

After the glue had been slathered over her head-wrap, Chips nodded toward his cronies and they pulled her up and out of the barrel.

"While I try to make my tests one-size-fits-all. This one is most specifically for you, as this next piece will show." He said as they brought out a stretchy black fabric bag of some kind. The thing had been sewn together with a very specific purpose, the cloth reminded Eshri of nylon tights at a first glance but even when stretched it was still thick and nearly opaque.

Chips' words also proved true, it had been built with enough room for her legs and tail, pinched around the hips snugly, yet the most telling part was the head. The opening to the one-piece bag had been at the head piece, which had tiny pockets for each of Eshri's horns, as well as being fitted to match her snout's shape.

The figures were all wearing gloves as they squeezed, smoothed and patted down the cloth on its way up, making sure it got well coated in the glue. They pulled it into place and the pressure was all encompassing, leaving just that same eye visible.

"If I was being totally fair I'd have left both eyes, which I will for future testers. If I was being truly cruel I'd have covered both but I just want to see the defeat in your gaze when you lose and have to give up, kobold." Chips said, sneering haughtily.

"Now for the next part." He said, making Eshri wilt. If this was connected to this show she had plenty to go through...

It was so trivial for them to lift the slight shape of the kobold that it stung Eshri's pride. Slung over a shoulder, she couldn't even wiggle loose of the light grip. There was another stroking along her whole body as they made sure the glue hadn't seeped through any further than it was meant to.

Another bag had been prepared for her, this one made out of sturdier cloth, blackened canvas with an eye-catching sheen to it. It was rolled tightly over Eshri's body, even through those layers she felt the edge squashing her as it was cinched at the neck. Leather straps had already been woven into it and the bag was secured with a thick one at her neck. Two more ran over the chest, so that they added pinning pressure at her elbows and at her wrists, respectively.

Another pair at the thighs was finished off with a final solitary strap at her ankles. Already this was leagues beyond what the game contest had thrown at her and yet they still weren't stopping!

Solid, dark-blue dyed ropes were brought out. The first strand was tied over her neck, threaded down to cross her torso. She squealed out pitifully for them to stop, as they were pulled until they visibly bit into the layers. The ends were lashed around her waist and then her legs were tied in that same net-like shape.

The loose strands at her legs were braided together before the helpless kobold was carried over to an open cage. It was cramped, think, barely big enough to fit her into it. Two hooks hung from the top. The rough hands had to really pull to get the ropes up enough to fit the slender metal, then that braided leg rope was tied into a ring at the floor, forcing her to be stiffly stretched out.

Chips felt powerful, the most vexing person he'd ever met in his life and he had her tied and fully at his mercy. He suppressed the urge to slam the cage door, instead dropping it downward and then locking it in place with a hefty bolt.

"So, the rules are a little different, my sweet." He said, cruelty dripping in his voice. He stepped a few paces back and fished out a remote. He pushed a button and a metal hatch in the floor slid open. The space itself was just as cramped as the cage, fear building in Eshri as she stared at what she suspected was the 'last step'.

"Since the restraints are a bit harder, we'll give you a few more minutes to get out. If you succeed, well, congratulations. If not..." He pushed the button again and the door clanged shut with sudden speed. "...then you'll be spending the night in the floor. Maybe we'll get you out before lunch time but I wouldn't bet on it. And we do have so many other things to test on you..."

The door was opened once again and the entire cage was lifted and rotated backwards so that Eshri was face up. Even with gravity changing the hooks at her toes and shoulders were so taut that she hung in the same position, the panic in her eye only made Chips chuckle more, he already knew he'd won. Eshri was placed down into the cell, her vision diminishing as the walls rose around her sides.

Chips climbed up onto the cage itself when it was in place, looking down at the face of his captive and smirking at her evident fright. He mocked the televised show's intro, doing his best impression of the cobra host as he said "Contestant, you may staaaart, nooow~."

He hopped away, laughing to himself with his back turned.

"Don't you wanna watch?" One of the henchmen asked at his side.

Chips looked at him as though he'd said something insane. "I don't care about that, as long as they can't get out, that's all that matters."

"Want us to keep guard and push her back in if she does flee?"

The squirrel chuckled. "Oh, a delightful idea for next time but no, she won't be going anywhere. Did you see how deep in she was? I think she'll be 'volunteering' with us for a long time."

To Eshri, he was already too far away for the rest to be heard, the kobold was left utterly alone in her tight, squeezing, gravity defying prison. Her fingers were buried deep in her palms and she did her best to scratch and scrape the bandages. Her often overlooked tail tugged as strongly as she could yet even that was incapable of moving away from her heels. Were it just the bandages or even the first sack over the top, she was sure she'd have felt the tiniest bit of progress, however the glue, the thicker cloth and all that had been layered above was crafted in such a way that it spread the pressure of her attempts away from any point.

The kobold focused on every single joint in her body, testing them all but even twenty minutes later she'd not figured out a way to budge even a fraction further than she started... it really was hopeless. A tear welled in her eye as she thought of how bad this was looking, not just for her but also poor Radasus, he was likely scared out of his wits at this point and there was nothing she could do to comfort her lover.

Such thoughts gave her a short-lived second wind, before she fell back, she had to will herself not to accept that she was defeated. Even if she could get out, there was no way she would make it before that hatch sealed her in.

Through her leaking eye, she saw a shape. One of the guards came back to mock her, or watch her perhaps. She turned her head away, not wanting to acknowledge them.

The cream-furred watcher was not dissuaded, kneeling down, his fingers went to the cage's lowest bars and after tinkering, tugging and working at them, they popped open. Claws and teeth descended on the lowest rope, slipping Eshri's anchored legs loose at that point.

The sudden shift which made her fall backward also prompted her eye to open and her attention to focus.

Her spirits soared in joy, it was Radasus!

The furred corgi-kobold had been abandoned in the box, out of sight and almost immediately out of mind. When he'd managed to regain some energy he'd put his all into his own escape artistry, struggling out of the suit Eshri had left him in. The thing was secure so long as one didn't want to damage it but urgency for their joint safety had let Radasus sum up the courage to force his way out.

He'd waited for it to be quiet before popping out of the box, losing only a few more minutes in search of Eshri and now he was here. He gave her a snuggling hug of gratitude and relief, though she mumbled in grumpy urgency. She wanted to escape with him, not end up with him stuck in the hatch too!

Radasus got the message quickly, slipping Eshri off the hooks and hurriedly, though neatly, removing the ropes and straps. The canvas bag was soon discarded and Radasus brought his lover out of the hole.

Eshri visibly relaxed, letting out some of the tension she'd felt and rose her chin to invite some firm kisses and snuggles. Radasus plunged to it, his tail wagging though he kept it short. His efforts turned back to the lighter cloth sack, glued as it was. It took some tearing effort to get it going but another facet of the stuff revealed itself.

It was obviously designed to be hard to struggle out of, however an external force could almost peel it, if one had the sufficient strength. This was a perk that Radasus had in excess, his strength was unusually great for his stature, allowing him to pull her out of it all.

Eshri's arms came free, immediately wiping away the tears that had built up, then starting to help him with her freedom. Soon the cold air kissed the kobold's skin and she warded the chill away with a warm hug around Radasus. "Oh, my dear Rada, thank you so much." She whispered. "Come on, let's get out of here."

"Wait up." Radasus said back, looking at the discarded wrapping and the empty cage. The two kobolds shared a look and smirked as they arranged the wrapping neatly within the box. "There's also one more thing I want to show you." He said, taking Eshri a few metres over to a stack of crates. One of them was labeled with some less than complimentary words pertaining to the blue scaled kobold, peeking inside it earlier, Radasus had spotted several pieces of customised gear that were enough to make even him get blushing.

Eshri let out a sigh, even having escaped a nearly joint peril, her lover was already thinking about the bright side of this gear. She had a momentary shudder when she considered how it would be if the deranged squirrel of his cronies forced that gear on. But imagining it in safety with her lover had an allure that broke through the recent tension. "Take what you can carry quickly and let's leave." She whispered.

Minutes later, the two kobolds had fled into the night.

Chips couldn't remember the last time he slept that well. His dreams danced but all shared the same theme; his bitter adversary, helplessly captive to his whims. When he woke up, he honestly wondered if he would keep her. His plan had always been to get her to confess defeat to at least five of his set-ups and then he'd have let her go.

The idea of a pet appealed to him though... He clicked his fingers. He'd set it as the wager, if she couldn't break a single one of his traps, she would be his to keep. Oh how fun it would be.

The squirrel hummed a jaunty tune as he stepped toward the hatch, a skip in his step that was not matched by the paid help who just trudged along behind him. "Wakey wakey, little lizard." He shouted as he reached the remote, tapping the button and opening the hatch. His joy vanished, his face falling away.

She'd escaped. There wasn't a single sign of her within the confines, only the now empty restraints...

Chips fell back on his rump, stunned and deaf to the cries of alarm from the cronies surrounding him.

Eshri and Radasus went to a place they knew they'd be safe before making calls. Their story soon reached the ears of journalists who in turn called the company who ran the show with interrogative questions.

The show then got in contact with Eshri, stating how absolutely mortified and apologetic they were for what she'd gone through. They identified Chips for who he was, saying that his actions were entirely out of their contract and thus all ties were cut and his behaviour condemned.

The next thing the kobolds heard about the squirrel was that he'd been arrested as a result of turning himself in. Apparently he'd been so shocked at his defeat that his spirit had been the one to break.

He admitted his actions, took responsibility and would soon face punishment. Eshri and Radasus were happy to settle without charges being brought against the show, though one of their terms was to be gifted the remaining items that had been tailored to fit Eshri.

It was a fraught, unnerving day but the pair of lovers bounced back from it and had something to show for their time. Eshri even gave Radasus the choice of reward and his request was simple.

"I want you to tie me up like they did to you." He said simply.

Eshri smirked. "I'm going to assume without the glue, though." She quipped back and naturally she'd block both his eyes. After all, she knew he'd find that far more fun.
