I felt like I had to say somthing...anything...but i didn't know what to say...so i wrote this...enjoy...i guess...

I felt the sensation of moving faster than the speed of light as was discharged from the pokeball. The world created itself around me, in a bright red. My body started to feel heavy as I began to become affected by gravity, and then the world slowly faded to its natural colours. The whole process seemed to take a few minutes but I knew it was almost instantaneous

I looked at my surroundings. Everywhere I looked there were trees. The morning air smelled crisp and clean, and there were a few birds chirping.

Must be Eternal forest I thought to myself

"Hi there" came a voice

I turned around and saw a young boy. He couldn't be more than 15, maybe 16. He was wearing dark blue jeans, an unzipped black sweater with a blue shirt underneath that was the same colour as his jeans, an all black backpack on his back and black sneakers with white laces. His hair was a dark blonde and his eyes were a light green.

"My name's Cyrus" he said, in a friendly tone. I just stared at him.

He moved to the side and behind him I saw a Pidgeot, a Meganium, and a Ninetales. The Meganium looked at me, then simply nodded and continued eating.

"That's Phoenix" Said Cyrus, pointing at the Pidgeot. He moved his finger to point at the Meganium, "That's Leviathan" finally he gestured to the Ninetales "That's Blaze"

Cyrus pulled off his backpack and dug around inside, he pulled out an empty food bowl.

"I'm going to call you Crystal" he said, writing my new name on it.

Cyrus smiled and put the bowl down in front of me. He then reached into his backpack again and pulled out a bag.

"Hungry?" he asked

I shook my head. I hadn't eaten for a couple days, but for some reason I didn't feel hungry...I didn't feel anything. It was as if this wasn't my life. As if I was looking through the eyes of someone I've never met. It was odd.

Cyrus put the bag of food back into his backpack and pulled out a yellow ribbon. He started to move towards me with it in his hands, instinctively I backed away.

"Hold still" he said

He wrapped it around my neck and tied it. When he was done he backed away and smiled. He pulled out a small mirror from his pocket and showed me my reflection. The ribbon was tied in a bow on the front of my neck.

"What do you think?" he asked

I look like a damn idiot I thought to myself.

I lifted my paw in front of his face, claws bared. Then without taking my eyes off of him I moved it over my neck and in one fluid motion sliced the ribbon. I allowed the pieces to fall to the damp ground.

He stared at the cut ribbon on the ground.

"Alright" he said "You don't have to wear it if you don't want to"

He walked over to Phoenix, Leviathan and Blaze, picked up their bowls and put them in his bag.

"We should get moving" he said

I waited for him to return me to my pokeball, but he just started walking. I stood there confused.

"Hi" came a voice

I turned around. It was Phoenix. I simply nodded at her. She continued walking, I walked alongside her.

"I know what you're thinking" she said, "You never wanted to be captured, you think that Cyrus took away your freedom. Am I right?"

"Far from it" I said

She looked confused

"I belong to another trainer" I explained, "Well, I use to anyways"

"What happened?" she asked

"What do you mean what happened?" I asked, I really didn't want to talk about this.

"Did he abandon you" she asked

I didn't say anything, I just continued walking. This seemed to be enough of an answer for her.

"I'm so sorry" she said

I made no response.

The rest of the trip made in silence, except for the occasional laugh from Leviathan or Blaze, who were walking alongside Cyrus.

This is going to be a long day I thought to myself

* * *

"You ok?" Phoenix asked

"Yeah" I said, the sun had finally started to set and Cyrus had finally decided to stop for the night. I had no objections; all I wanted to do was lie down and rest my aching paws. The only time we had stopped walking was when he decided to stop for lunch. It made me feel weak, since the others didn't seem at all tired. Jake had never let us travel outside of our pokeballs.

I lay down and watched as Cyrus put down his backpack, started a fire, and took out their...our...bowls, set them down and filled them with food. Phoenix, Leviathan and Blaze ran over and started to eat. I didn't move.

I was starting to get a bit hungry, As I had refused to eat when we stopped for lunch, but I wasn't going to give in and accept food from this strange trainer, then he'd win...right?

I didn't know what I was trying to prove. Whether starving myself was actually doing anything, I didn't know. But I just didn't want to eat. Maybe if I...

My thought was cut short as something touched my arm. I automatically lifted my head up. It was my food bowl. I looked over and saw Cyrus walking back to the fire.

I looked back at my food bowl. I was tempted to eat it. Maybe this trainer cared about me, maybe he didn't. All I knew was that I didn't want...I sighed. I didn't even know what I wanted anymore. I...I just wanted to go to sleep and never wake up. And again I was brought to the conclusion of killing myself.

I shook the thought out of my head. Maybe I should give this trainer a chance. Maybe...Just maybe...I'll be able to call this trainer...friend.

Only time will tell I thought to myself
