#5 of Healing a Doctor

Nathan burst angrily through the door. They had just got back from an uneventful patrol, and Davis was being his usual self.

"I'm going to shoot Davis in the face!" Nathan exclaimed, now beginning to pace back and forth.

"Just calm down," Brian began as he closed the door, "Don't let him get to you."

"How could you hang out with him in high school," Nathan replied, "He's just... ugh."

Brian laughed and took off the top layer of his uniform, leaving his torso covered in a white muscle shirt. He lay back on the bed, closing his eyes.

"I know how to calm you down Nathan," Brian said as he lazily gestured to him.

Nathan huffed and stormed over, sitting down beside him. "Let's see it," Nathan said.

Brian sat up and began to rub Nathan's back. Nathan relaxed, a breathy moan escaping his lips. Brian laughed and continued the back rub, kneading slow circles into his brown furred shoulders.

"You good?" Brian asked as he removed his paws a half hour later.

"Yeah," Nathan sighed, "I had fun last night."

"I didn't know you were so flexible," Brian replied and then pulled Nathan down onto the bed with him.

"I used to do a lot of stretching," Nathan began, "Are you ready for the weekend?"

"Just one more day," Brian replied, "I really hope that Davis doesn't spoil it for us."

"I'll say I have a patient with an extremely contagious disease," Nathan said, "That should keep that son of a bitch out."

"I don't think you can scare him off with that," Brian began, "That son of a bitch is lucky they have a cure for gonorrhea, he must have got it ten times in high school."

"Maybe he'll get it again," Nathan said, "I might have to do "corrective surgery."

Nathan made a cutting gesture with his fingers. Brian snorted and the two burst into a fit of laughter. Nathan snuggled up against Brian's chest, head resting in its usual spot.

"Brian," Nathan began as he began to rub Brian's chest.

"What Nathan?" he replied.

"I have a great time with you," Nathan said, planting a kiss on his cheek.

"Me too baby," Brian replied, kissing his love on the nose.

They both sat up and mashed their lips together, Brian's tongue fighting against Nathan's black lips. He opened them, allowing the pink muscle to probe the inside of his muzzle. Nathan's hand slowly moved down to Brian's fly, unzipping it and pulling his pants down.

Brian leaned Nathan over so that the coyote was underneath him. Brian broke the kiss long enough to pull down Nathan's pants, then returned joyfully to the warm confines of his mouth. Brian pulled down his underwear, his dog-hood already risen to the occasion. He lined up and prepared for the first thrust into Nathan, but was cut off by an urgent knocking.

"Saya perlu dokter," a feminine voice said from behind the door.

Nathan sighed and got out from under Brian. He pulled his pants back up, and began to slowly walk to the door.

"Get off of the bed Brian," Nathan said, "Pull your pants up too."

The fur knocked again more urgently this time, a masculine voice sounded off this time in perfect English.

"Hurry," The masculine voice began, "This kid is hurt."

Nathan stepped up the pace and opened the door. There were three furs on the curb, a gecko dressed in a military uniform, a female dressed in Muslim clothing, and in her arms, a young leopard with a dirty bandage around his neck.

"Jesus," Nathan began, "Set him down on the table over there."

The gecko said something in urgent Indonesian and the woman rushed over to lay the child down. Nathan pulled over a table with some surgical tools and slid on some gloves.

"What happened?" Nathan asked as he lifted up the dirty bandage to examine the red gushing wound underneath.

"He got caught in a crossfire," the gecko replied, "Can I help in any way?"

"You can keep our lady friend in the know. Brian come over here and put pressure on the wound."

Brian nodded and complied, pressing the dirty bandage tight against the young feline's skin. Nathan reached for a pair of tweezers then paused.

"Did it go through?" Nathan asked, holding the tweezers with one paw.

"I don't think so," the gecko replied.

Nathan ran over and shoved Brian out of the way. He ripped off the bandage and began to probe around the wound. He found a fragment of bullet and removed it, setting it to the side of him on the table.

"It only hit one artery," Nathan said with relief, "We just need to stop the bleeding and he'll be fine."

Nathan reached inside with a gloved paw. He found the artery and began to close it off.

"I guess it was a ricochet that hit him," Nathan began, "There's only a couple of pieces in here."

Nathan suddenly gasped, the young leopard twitched violently. The broken artery spraying crimson blood everywhere. He continued to twitch, fending off the attempts Nathan made to save his life. He held him down, trying to pinch off the artery, but the young fur's thrashing kept it out of his reach.

"Shit!" Nathan exclaimed, trying to hold down the artery.

The young leopard lay still, tongue hanging out of his mouth grotesquely. Nathan slumped, head held down in defeat.

"You guys should leave," Brian replied, "I'm sorry for your loss but the doctor's going to need to recover, come back tomorrow."

The female began to cry, the gecko casting a comforting arm around her.

"What went wrong?" He asked as he tried to console the sobbing woman.

"I don't know," Brian began, "It looked like he had a seizure or something."

"Well, thank you for trying," The gecko said and then led the grief stricken female out of the clinic.

Nathan laid a sheet over the dead feline and walked over to the sink. He turned the water on, and began to wash his bloodstained face and hands. Brian sat down wearily in a chair, staring at the blood soaked sheet.

"What happened?" Brian asked.

"I don't fucking know," Nathan snapped, "The son of a bitch started twitching out on my operating table."

"I'm not accusing you of anything," Brian quickly replied, "I just want to know what went wrong."

Nathan hit the counter and growled. He hit it again with more force this time.

"FUCKING GOOKS," Nathan yelled, punching a hole in the cabinet above the sink.

"I know," Brian said, trying to calm Nathan down, "It's not right what they did, but shit like this happens."

Nathan slumped against the counter, clutching his paw. He set his head down again, sobbing.

"I should have been faster," Nathan said between sobs, "It's my fault."

"It's not your fault," Brian said as he got up out of the chair. He then lifted Nathan up and said, "You tried and that's all that matters."

"There is no trying in surgery," Nathan began as buried himself into Brian's arms. Brian slowly walked the two to their bed in the back.

"I know what will cheer you up," Brian began, sneakily moving a paw down to Nathan's fly.

"Let's see it," Nathan began.

Nathan gasped as Brian's paw slid into his fly. He slowly pulled Nathan's canine member out, and brought his head down to it.

"Brian," Nathan began, "Can I tell you an embarrassing story."

Brian sat up beside him and replied, "You can tell me anything babe."

"My high school girlfriend was sucking me off one time, and she wasn't too good at it. She ended up biting me, bad. I had to go to the emergency room to get stitches and everything. So I get a little nervous whenever someone wants to, uh you know."

"I'm not going to bite you," Brian scoffed, "You know it'll make you feel better."

"It's not against you Brian, but I'd rather not," Nathan said.

"Whatever you want," Brian began, "I have something else that'll make you feel better."

"What is that?" Nathan asked.

"You just sit tight and I'll grab it," Brian replied standing up from the bed and running into the clinic.

He returned a short time later, a small blue disc in his paw. He set it on the table and turned off the lights.

"That's nice," Nathan began, "But what does it do."

"Just watch," Brian said as he sat down beside him.

All of a sudden, a blue light flared from the disk, casting the entire room in its glare. Images began to pop up along the walls, scenes from nature, busy streets, movie clips.

"You've got the whole world on here," Brian began, "Just say what you want to see, and it'll show you."

"Anything I want to see?" Nathan asked grabbing Brian's hand.

"Dreams, people, places, anything," Brian replied.

"Haley," Nathan stated, watching as the images melded into one.

There was a young coyote, wearing a pink dress, running through a park. She ran through a cluster of dandelions, the fluffy white seeds floating around her. A laugh escaped her lips, pure and sweet as a mountain stream. Nathan stared, a look of wonder crossing his face. A butterfly fluttered past her, she giggled and shrieked, now sitting down on the ground and trying to catch the beautiful insect.

"God I miss her," Nathan said, watching the wall with tears in his eyes.

"How old is she?" Brian asked, watching the touching scene.

"Five or six now," Nathan replied and then laughed as she caught the butterfly and shrieked as it crawled up her arm, "I can remember when she was a baby, she'd scream and fuss all night and keep me and Clarissa up. One day, we bought her a stuffed butterfly, she'd sleep like an angel, but that butterfly always had to be right beside her or she'd throw a fit."

"She has your eyes," Brian replied and then shut the disc down.

"Thank you Brian," Nathan said, as he snuggled up to Brian again.

All of a sudden, the door slammed open. A voice called out.

"Hey faggots, you in here."

The two groaned and walked out into the clinic. Davis was standing there, a cocky smile on his face. Nathan grabbed a scalpel and concealed it, standing in front of the wolf.

"What the fuck happened in here?" Davis asked noticing the covered up body in the corner.

"A patient," Nathan replied.

Davis walked over to the body and scoffed, "Jesus, What are you a doctor or a butcher?"

"Fuck you Davis," Brian began, "Kid got shot, there was nothing we could do."

"Fuck me?" Davis asked in mock indignation, "You would want to, faggot."

"If you're gonna fucking..." Nathan began, slowly advancing on Davis.

Davis clucked his tongue and said, "If you want this to keep under wraps, then I suggest you deal with it."

"I shouldn't have to deal with it," Nathan began, "This is a bad time, come back later."

"No, sorry," Davis said, "I don't care if you two want to fuck."

Nathan growled and hit the table, "You listen you fucking prick. It's a bad time because a fucking kid just died in here. I am not in the mood for your bullshit."

"What are you going to do," Davis began, "You don't have a fucking chance against me murderer."

Nathan erupted with anger, rushing at Davis with the scalpel outstretched. Davis lashed out, catching Nathan on his temple and sending him to the floor. Davis kicked his hand, sending the blade spinning across the tile. He pulled out his own knife and held it to Nathan's throat.

"Mine's bigger bitch," Davis spat, "You have nothing on me, I suggest you treat me with more respect before some choice people hear about how close you two are. I could keep you two separated until you meet up in hell."

Nathan tried to get up, Davis's heavy paw keeping him pinned to the floor. During the struggle, neither of the two noticed that Brian had his pistol out. He walked up to him and pressed the barrel to Davis's skull.

"Get the fuck off of him," Brian snarled, pushing the wolf off of Nathan.

"Brian," Davis began, "You need to calm down."

Brian slammed Davis into the wall, gun pointed at his head. Davis fought to get free, his knife now on the floor next to Nathan.

"You're crazy!" Davis exclaimed.

"You don't know the half of it," Brian replied through gritted teeth, "Now I'm about to lose my temper, I don't think you want to be here when that happens. Now get the fuck out."

Brian let Davis off of the wall. He walked back towards Nathan and helped him off the ground.

"I'm going to leave and forget this happened," Davis began as he picked up his knife, "Anything like this happens again, the cat's out of the goddamn bag.

He stormed out of the door, slamming it shut with a loud bang. Brian lifted Nathan up to the chair and set him there. He grabbed a cotton ball and some hydrogen peroxide and began to nurse Nathan's wounds.

"It's just a bruise," Nathan said, grimacing as the liquid disinfected the wound.

"What were you thinking?" Brian began and then kissed Nathan on the cheek, "Davis used to be a fighter, he could have killed you easy."

"I didn't, I was just pissed," Nathan replied.

Brian set down the peroxide and the cotton ball. He got in the chair with Nathan and pulled the coyote close to him. Brian kissed the top of his head, the groan of pain alarming him.

"You okay?" He asked, loosening his hold on the coyote.

"I just hit my head on the ground," Nathan replied, "I should be fine."

"It's a quarter till eight; want to catch some zs?" Brian asked.

"Yeah, go get the bed warm, I'll be right there," Nathan replied as he slowly stood up.

Brian went into the back to get ready for bed while Nathan walked over to the dead leopard on the table.

"I'm sorry," Nathan said placing a paw on the sheet, "It's my fault, but I tried."

He then walked to the sink and looked into the mirror. He examined the bruise above his eye, gently prodding it with a claw. He grimaced, Davis would pay for this. He walked into the back room, slowly stripping off his clothes as he went. He climbed into bed beside Brian.

"You ok?" Brian asked, wrapping an arm around the coyote.

Nathan nodded and rested his head on Brian's chest. A lazy paw rubbed over Nathan's chest, trailing down to his junk. Nathan leaned back for a kiss, the two's muzzles colliding in an expression of pure ecstasy.

Seeing as they were both already naked, Brian rolled on top of Nathan. Their kiss deepened, their tongues moving against the backs of the other's muzzles. Nathan arched his hips up into Brian's, savoring the warm contact. Brian broke the kiss to spit on his hand and rub it against his rod.

"Not so fast this time," Nathan pleaded.

Brian nodded as he began to slowly push into Nathan's inner sanctum. The coyote gasped as Brian's dog hood invaded inch by inch. Brian pulled most of the way out and gently thrust back in. Again and again, he slammed into Nathan, his hips working to prolong the tender contact.

Nathan's paws found their way to Brian's ears, scratching behind them as the powerful golden retriever rutted his love. They moaned and groaned together in ecstasy, the bed bouncing with the fervor of their lovemaking. Nathan began to squirt out pre cum with every thrust in, coating Brian's fur.

Brian thrust in hard and fast, breaking the sensual rhythm the two had been keeping up. The force of the thrust pushed Nathan forward, slamming his head against the head board. Brian stopped his movements and in between gasps managed to ask.

"Are you ok?"

"It's just my head," Nathan said rubbing the spot where it had hit the ground.

"We could stop," Brian replied, laying there half inside of Nathan.

"We just need a position change," Nathan replied as he slid out from under Brian, "Flip over."

Brian obeyed, lying on the bed with his large, pulsating penis standing straight upright, the knot puffed out to attention. Nathan straddled Brian, and began to lower himself onto him. Brian began to push up, rocking the riding coyote.

"You really are good with your hips!" Nathan exclaimed breathlessly.

Brian tried to laugh as a reply, but was too busy thrusting to comment. Brian grabbed Nathan's hips now, bouncing him up and down wildly. The tight ring of Nathan's anus slowly began to allow Brian's huge knot in and out. Nathan growled and bent down, kissing his love on the lips. Brian gave a final heave with his hips, jamming the huge knot deep inside Nathan, tying them.

Brian came, moaning into Nathan's mouth and bucking his hips deeper into the slender coyote. He slumped back against the bed, Nathan following him, his head resting on Brian's chest.

"Did you get off?" Brian asked.

"No, but it's okay though," Nathan said as he slumped against the golden's chest.

"Bullshit it's okay," Brian mumbled, reaching a paw down to stroke Nathan's hard member.

He wrapped his paw around it, slowly sliding it up and down. He began to add more variety to his motions now, tickling the head and the knot with his claws as they slid up and down. Nathan threw his head back as he came, bellowing out his orgasm into the night. He slumped down to Brian's chest again, arms snaking around his lover, holding him close.

"I'm feeling much better now," Nathan said around gasps for breath.

"I'm glad," Brian replied, "Anything you want to talk about?"

"Nothing," Nathan began, then added on, "Actually, there's something I want to ask you."

"What is it?" Brian asked, lifting his head so he was leaning against the headboard.

"Out of all the furs on that boat, you chose me, why?" Nathan asked.

"That's a stumper," Brian began, "You needed a friend, and if you weren't gay, so what, I'd get a friend out of the deal."

"You mean it didn't have anything to do with looks," Nathan joked.

"It also helped that you were one of the sexiest canines I've ever laid eyes on," Brian finished, "I have a question to ask you."

"Ask away," Nathan began, still gleaming from the complement.

"Why didn't you fight to get your daughter back?" Brian asked, the happy gleam in Nathan's eyes replaced by the blank stare that over took him on the boat.

"I just..., I just figured it was a lost cause," Nathan began, sighing as he remembered the details, "Her grandmother's filled her head with lies, she wants nothing to do with me."

"How do you know that?" Brian asked, his paw reaching out to touch Nathan's, "How do you know that she wants nothing to do with you?"

"I talked to her on the phone," Nathan began, "She said that grandma said that I was a bad man who didn't love her," A sob broke his voice, "That I didn't love her and that I was a monster."

"When you get back to the States, you should go find her, let her make her own opinion of you," Brian replied, "You need to fight for her."

"We'd be parents then, right?" Nathan asked, a smile creeping on his face.

"Yeah, I guess we'd be," Brian replied.

Nathan slid off of Brian's front, Brian turning to the side to accommodate the new position. He slung his arm around the coyote and began to kiss his back and shoulders.

"I just want to lie here with you forever," Nathan said, grabbing Brian's paw, "I love you."

"I love you too," Brian replied, "We should go to sleep, we need to be well rested to deal with Davis."

"Shit, I forgot we had to see that asshole again," Nathan said angrily, "That fuck nut better not pull any shit."

"Just don't bait him and we'll be fine," Brian began, "Now then, I'm exhausted and want to go to sleep."

"Remember in the locker room on the boat? The three things about you deal," Nathan asked, pushing back against Brian to further envelop himself in his warmth.

"I guess I do, why?" Brian replied as he nuzzled his muzzle against Nathan's shoulder.

"I love going for moonlit walks on the beach, sleeping in on Sundays, and a big plate of Belgian waffles covered in strawberries and whip cream for breakfast," Nathan said, and then rubbed the top of Brian's head affectionately, "What about you stud?"

"Let me see," Brian began, "I love to go clubbing, I play the piano, and I love... to tickle coyotes!" He finished with a mischievous grin on his face as he began to ruthlessly tickle the coyote beside him.

The squirming coyote yelped in surprise. He soon began to laugh, pleading for Brian to stop at the same time.

Brian stopped and kissed the still laughing coyote on the cheek. Nathan turned his head and quickly pecked Brian on the lips.

"That was cute," Nathan said.

"You know how good that felt on my knot right," Brian whispered in to Nathan's ear making it twitch.

"Probably pretty damn good," Nathan laughed, "I'm glad, this means we could be stuck together longer."

"Good night love,' Brian said and then kissed Nathan's forehead.

Nathan nodded and curled his head and neck against the golden retriever's fluffy chest. The two laid there, spooning, as the sweet blanket of sleep wafted over them.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Brian," A ghostly voice whispered.

Brian's eyes shot open. The sleeping coyote snorted and slowly rolled over. Brian slid out from under the covers, making sure to not to disturb Nathan's slumber. He walked into the clinic, looking around warily.

"Under here Brian," the voice called out again, this time from under the bloodstained sheet.

Brian walked over and threw the sheet off. He gasped; the child was no longer there, and in his place, James.

"Hello Brian," James said coolly, slowly sitting up.

Brian collapsed backwards, James extending a paw to him.

"Let me help you up," he said as he pulled the dumbfounded golden retriever to his feet. "What is it with you and dating smokers Brian?" James asked.

"I don't..." Brian began as the wolf pulled out a cigarette from his pocket.

"Does it remind you of me and Kris," The wolf said, he then walked into the room where Nathan was still sleeping, "He is cute."

"What are you doing here?" Brian asked, leaning against the doorjamb.

"I thought you'd be happier to see me," James said, now walking over to brush a hand along Nathan's side, "I'm sorry by the way."

"You fucking raped me," Brian spat out, "I don't want to see you ever again."

The wolf ignored Brian's angry outburst and said, "Your boyfriend has an interesting past. A deadly fire."

James stuck his paw out over Nathan, the cigarette dropping and engulfing the bed in orange flame. The coyote screamed as the fire began to cover him. He thrashed about on the bed as the skin and fur burned.

"Stop," Brian said and then dropped to his knees.

The wolf watched coldly as the coyote thrashed once more and laid still. The fire dying and leaving a perfectly white skeleton behind.

"Abuse," the wolf continued, the skeleton replaced with the living coyote.

Nathan flew across the room, his head striking the wall. A series of invisible blows rained down upon him, his body becoming bruised and bloodied. The blows stopped and the coyote tried to breathlessly crawl towards Brian. The wolf stepped in front of him and kicked him across his muzzle, knocking him to the floor.

Brian was crying now, "Please stop."

"Stop," The wolf began, leaving the body of Nathan on the floor, "Bitch I have just started."

"Why are you doing this," Brian asked standing up now.

"Just to do it," the wolf scoffed, snapping his fingers and returning the coyote to the bed.

"I would never hurt Nathan like I did you," Brian whimpered, slowly moving to stroke the sleeping the coyote's face.

"Yes you would," James scoffed.

He snapped his fingers, and a spider, the size of a dinner plate, began to crawl onto Nathan's face. The mouth and the eyes, humongous and blood-red, contrasted to its shiny black body. Brian brought a fist down to smash it. The wolf snapped his fingers and the spider disappered, Brian's fist stopped inches away from Nathan's muzzle.

"I could make you hurt him, I could make you rip him apart if I wanted to," James said then stood in front of him laughing.

"You're not real," Brian stated, backing into the clinic.

"I'm not real?" James began, "But I am, you did this to me Brian."

"You're not real," Brian cried out louder now, "You're just in my head."

The wolf laughed a cruel raspy sound. He walked to Nathan's operating table and grabbed the scalpel.

"If I'm in your head, you'd better let me out," James said, slowly walking towards Brian with the blade.

He grabbed it, and Kris and Tyler walked out from the back. Their faces horribly maimed from the bullet holes. The wounds began to bleed now, the red liquid dropping to the floor.

"Do it," their disembodied voices chanted over and over again.

Brian backed into the counter; he slumped down to the tile floor. He then slowly brought the blade to his temple. Brian broke the skin, bringing the scalpel across his forehead. The blood from the cut staining his golden head fur a rusty brown.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Nathan heard Brian's cries of, "You're not real." And shot out of bed. He ran into the clinic just in time to watch the scalpel pierce his skin. Nathan cried out and ran to him, knocking the blade out of his hand before he did too much damage. Brian's eyes were glassed over, dully reflecting the light of the moon outside.

"Brian," Nathan sobbed, "You're okay now."

"Stay away... Nathan," Brian murmured his voice weak and distorted.

"Why?" Nathan said, gazing into the glassy gaze of Brian.

"They want to get you," he sobbed, "I don't want them to; I don't want you in my head too."

He reached for the knife again, Nathan kicking it from reach.

"Did you take your medicine?" Nathan asked urgently.

Brian nodded, "This morning, I'm not supposed to take it at night."

Brian eyes went back to normal, the brown eyes shining with vigor once again.

"I saw them," Brian sobbed, reaching out for a hug.

Nathan enclosed Brian in his arms standing him on his feet.

"You gave yourself a pretty bad cut there, let me patch it up." Nathan said, turning to grab needle and thread.

Nathan went about closing and bandaging Brian's wound. He washed the fur, returning it to its luxurious golden hue. The golden retriever's eyes dimmed yet again. Nathan finished and Brian hid his head in his paws.

"He's standing behind you," Brian sobbed, peaking through the cracks of his fingers.

"There's no one there," Nathan said soothingly, "Let's get you to bed."

Nathan half carried half dragged the bigger golden retriever awkwardly to the bed. He laid him down and slid in beside him, throwing an arm around him. Nathan slowly entered an uneasy sleep but Brian sat up and warily stared around the clinic with glassy eyes. He would stay that way the entire night.
