#93 of Quickies

Hey just a quick message from me to you all. First off I hope you all have a good holiday and a happy new year. Thanks to everyone for reading and those of you that have supported me at all, either here or over on twitch. I'm posting the full story instead of just the preview today so I hope you enjoy it. Hopefully next year will be better in terms of me being consistent with my weekly posts.

Around this time of year Cryotix gives his kobolds a week off but a lot of them continue to stick around him anyways especially since this is one of the only times he allows the kobolds to sleep next to him. At least it makes it easy to get a snack if he wakes up hungry.

The winter solstice was probably the time of year most of Cryotix's kobolds looked forward to since the dragon let them all take a week off. It was also one of the only times in the year the dragon let them sleep next to him. Despite being free to do whatever they wanted, a lot of the kobolds still did their daily routine with the dragon. Though the thing most looked forward to was the gift the dragon gave, often doing his best to fulfill each one. Rankings weren't allowed as a gift however since then there'd be too many Ko-1s. Most tended to be rather easy to fulfill for Cryotix since he did his best to give them all they needed throughout the year.

On the eve of the solstice, Cryotix would wake up before the sun was even up and listened to all the noises the kobolds made in their sleep. Part of the fluff dragon wanted to get up and get out of the building before they woke up but he knew moving at all would cause a domino effect and wake all but the heaviest sleeper. This was definitely part of why he didn't let them sleep next to him for most of the year. Honestly part of him wished more of the kobolds would take this week to get out in the world.

He wanted to go back to sleep but he was fully awake so that would be difficult. Not only that but he also felt a bit hungry and it was tempting to eat a few of the kobolds near his muzzle. Cryotix contemplated the idea for only a moment before he felt the emptiness in his belly, only making him hungrier. Knowing the kobolds they would likely enjoy waking up to sliding down his throat. He wondered how many he should have though since he didn't want to ruin his appetite for later. Probably limit it to just a few, a small snack in bed wouldn't hurt.

The dragon's light blue tongue made its way out of his muzzle, immediately coming in contact with one of the kobolds sleeping in front of it. Hearing a small giggle from the kobold as the tip of his tongue pressed against their belly. Not wanting to wake them quite yet since one kobold yipping would surely lead to all of them doing the same. Slowly moving the tip of his tongue down between their legs, gently lifting them up as the tongue slid underneath them. Only stopping once the tip of his tongue reached their head. At which point the tongue started to retract back into his muzzle, the sleeping kobold completely unaware of what was about to happen.

While the kobolds were also ice cold, they were nowhere near as cold as Cryotix, making them feel a bit warm in his mouth. Still there was a bit of icy freshness to them as he swore some of them used a mint flavored shampoo to make them more desirable as a treat for him. He wanted to savor the sweet kobold in his mouth a bit longer, feel their fluff get matted down by his saliva against his tongue. The dragon's hunger had other ideas though and he'd lift his tongue and head slightly to have the kobold slide down along it to his throat. Upon feeling their little tail and paws touch his throat, Cryotix swallowed and felt them vanish down inside of him. With their size difference the kobold wouldn't even make a bulge in his throat as they were squeezed down through it.

At some point the kobold had woken up or at least started to stir awake while they were swallowed. Feeling some movement in his throat while they were swiftly pulled down through his body. They most definitely were awake once they reached his stomach as he felt their little paws push and rub against the inside of his stomach. It always felt good to feel his kobolds inside of him once more and for their souls to stay trapped within him until he brought them back later in the day.

One kobold would hardly be enough to satisfy him however so he immediately went for another. The next set of kobolds closest to his muzzle were actually cuddling and so Cryotix only felt it was appropriate to send them down together. Though it was certainly trickier to get them both at the same time without waking them up. Only getting their legs and tails on his tongue this time before pulling them back into his muzzle. Likely startling them awake when he suddenly lifted them up sharply with his head. Feeling them fall to the back of his throat before swallowing them down together. Since there were two of them it was possibly someone might have been able to notice the small bulge traveling down his neck. Though the fluff definitely would have made that difficult.

Out of the corner of his eye, Cryotix noticed a kobold had woken up and was watching. When he turned his gaze to them however, they immediately shut their eyes and acted like they were asleep. Maybe they hoped they would be eaten next if they continued to act like they didn't know what was coming. This just gave the dragon an idea however as he slurped up the kobold laying next to the one acting like they were asleep. Making sure they got a good look in his jaws and the sleeping kobold resting on his tongue before swallowing. Letting them see their fellow kobold vanish down his throat with no effort at all.

He wouldn't stop there however, even though the fake sleeper should have been next in line, Cryotix skipped over them and slurped up the one after. This time making sure his tongue slurped along the side of the fake sleeper as it lifted his next meal to his muzzle. When he heard a small whine it brought a smile to the dragon's face, taking quite a lot of pleasure in teasing them. After swallowing them down, Cryotix let out a satisfied sigh, a bit of icy mist that smelled like the other kobolds the ones he swallowed. Just to tease the fake sleeper a bit more as that icy breath washed over them.

Cryotix decided they needed one last push before he'd let them be eaten and so moved his muzzle over their body, resting it atop of them as he snatched up the last kobold around them. Already he could feel them wiggling against the underside of his muzzle while his tongue worked on pulling yet another kobold inside of it. Laying his head down completely atop of them once his next kobold snack was ready to be swallowed. Letting the fake sleeper feel the muscle in his muzzle and top of his neck move as he swallowed his latest treat. With how pressed up against it they were, they could even feel them move down through it briefly.

Now he had teased them enough and would let them take the trip down his throat to join the others. Unlike the others however, he wanted to feel this kobold climb into his jaws and push down his throat. Pulling his muzzle back just enough to rest it at the kobolds paws, wide open for them to stare into. It would take a few moments before they dropped the act but Cryotix would feel those small paws start to push against his tongue. Sliding their body along his tongue and pulling themself completely into his muzzle.

At which point the large fluff dragon would close his jaws and lift the tip of his tongue up to ever so slightly nudge them towards his throat. Cryotix had enough of a snack at this point that he could take his time to toy with this one. The kobold's movements felt a lot like rubbing as they tried to crawl towards the throat. Pushing and sliding along his tongue, they'd rub their flavor into it, making the dragon salivate more and drench them in his drool. Eventually forcing him to swallow the drool once it built up in his muzzle, inadvertently teasing the kobold inside as the throat opened up slightly showing them where they'd be going.

He almost swallowed the kobold himself just to speed up the process right before they finally pushed at his throat. Relaxing the muscles in his throat the best he could as he felt that small paw push into his throat, all too eager to dive in and become one with the dragon for a short time. Once their paw slipped down, Cryotix would lift his head and tilt it back. Forcing the kobold against the back of his throat more and letting gravity help in slowly sliding them down into his throat. Not that he'd be able to resist swallowing for long, pulling them swiftly down it and into his stomach.

By this point a few other kobolds had been stirred awake and soon most of the ones on the bed had been. Many of which stared at him and wanted to be eaten as well. This was definitely part of why he normally didn't let them sleep with him too often. He could eat a few more but he'd have to figure out a way to select only a few at random.

"Ko-1," Cryotix said as he sat up and looked over the kobolds for him.

One of the kobolds then spoke up, jumping as they did so. "Lord Cryotix, Ko-1 is not here! He returned to the mountain for his week off."

"Ko-2 then."

Another one of the kobolds then spoke up. "She is with him."

Of course they aren't here, if only he wasn't so bad at remembering who all actually took their vacation. "Who is present then?"

Cryotix watched as the kobolds whispered amongst themselves to see who was the highest ranking one there. "Ko-3 and Ko-4 were here but they seem to be missing." Probably ate them a few minutes ago. "Ko-9 is here though and at your service Lord Cryotix."

"Okay then Ko-9 I guess start a drawing and whichever four wins can be eaten." The dragon sighed internally and wondered why he was even doing this. He could just leave after all it wasn't like any of them could argue if he did.

Without a word all the kobolds that wished to be eaten immediately pulled out their phones. Seconds later four kobolds were jumping up and down excitedly. "We have our four winners but it seems I was not lucky today."

The dragon sat there, trying to process what just happened for a moment. "Why were you all ready for this? What else have you been using that for?" At least they were efficient but Cryotix wasn't sure how he felt about them having something ready for just this occasion. Now he had to wonder if they had been doing a raffle everyday just to decide who got to do something that day.

"Just something we use to keep things fair."

"Fine, the rest of you go to whatever you're doing today then even if it is just to sleep some more." Cryotix waited for them to start clearing out before laying on his side again. "How shall we do this then? Don't answer that, just thinking out loud. Okay group hug each other as tightly as you can and try not to let go."

This way he can at least get it over with all at once and get on with his day since he had a lot to do. Watching as the four kobolds hugged each other nice and tight just like he said. Opening his muzzle as he went to wrap his tongue around all four of them only to be interrupted.

"Do you think there will be snow outside when we come back? It hasn't snowed yet and I'd love to see it for the solstice festival." Asked one of the kobolds.

It was true that the snow had yet to fall in this area but Cryotix was hesitant to promise that there would be. He could definitely make it so that it did but he was hesitant to exert his power over the area like that. "Maybe, we'll have to see what happens."

"Thank you." He could sense just how happy the kobolds were at the idea of it and they could easily get snow if they returned to Cryotix's mountain territory. The dragon knew it wasn't the same as having it snow in the city though since the big festival was here.

Opening his jaws once more, Cryotix's tongue wrapped around the four kobolds firmly before pulling back into his muzzle. Snapping his muzzle shut around them, he began to toy with them as he thought about if he should make it snow. In truth he wanted it to snow here as well but he also didn't want a repeat of his predecessor.

Looking around the room as he played with the four kobolds, surprised they were able to keep that hug together. Taking a deep breath as he prepared himself for the swallow, icy mist enveloping the kobolds and escaping out his muzzle between his teeth when he exhaled. Tilting his head back, feeling them hit the back of his throat before swallowing. Unlike the kobolds earlier however, they made a decent bulge in his throat since he swallowed all four together. He could even feel it with one paw as they made their way down. Once they passed his collar bone however, there was not a single trace of them and they soon joined the others in his belly.

With his breakfast done, Cryotix went to take a shower to clean up while he thought about calling Storm or not. He never got the impression that the old dragon liked him. Well most didn't he was sure, most were still the original for their domain while he was a replacement. Storm seemed the nicest to him at least so maybe it could work.

After his shower, Cryotix changed to his wolf form and looked at his phone for a few minutes before giving in and giving Storm a call. Honestly he half expected it to go straight to voicemail since it was a bit early still.

"The great stormy one is eating, why are you calling ice one?" Asked what was likely one of Storm's kobolds.

"Hey, I need a small favor from Storm and I'll try and make it up to him. Just give him the phone," Cryotix said while flopping down onto a couch.

"What's the favor?" Asked Storm before munching on something loudly.

"I need a small storm over the city so that it can snow. I can make it cold enough to make it snow instead of rain but well I can't conjure a storm. Just thought it would be nice for the festival and I'll pay you back somehow."

There was an awkward silence for a minute while Storm finished eating. "Fine I'm sure I can think of something, I'll meet you at the waystone in ten."

Before he could respond Storm hung up and Cryotix stood back up and made his way up to the roof. Streets were too narrow for his dragon form so he had to get on the roof to start flying. Cryotix wished he had more than ten minutes but he wasn't going to argue. The flight to the waystone was short but with the festival it was super crowded. It definitely kept the kitsune busy though as well as his kobolds that agreed to help despite having time off. Now he just had to chill in his wolf form while he waited for him to arrive.

He didn't have to wait long before he saw a cheetah with blue accents appear by the waystone though they looked younger than he expected. "Hey Storm, you're looking good," Cryotix greeted the cheetah and did a quick wave.

The cheetah looked at him confused before replying, "You have the wrong cheetah, I am Sky and if you don't mind I must be on my way."

Sky immediately walked away before he could get another word in and looked at them again as they walked away. They really looked like and gave off the same aura as Storm too, maybe he's still out of it from waking up. Less than a minute later three golden furred kobolds appeared followed by a cheetah with blue accents again. While Cryotix was sure it had to be Storm this time he wasn't completely sure now. "Storm?"

They looked at him confused before responding, "Who else would it be?"

One of the kobolds even spoke up, "How dare you not recognize the great Storm!"

"Well I just saw another cheetah who looked just like you and gave off..."

Before Cryotix could finish his sentence Storm instantly appeared beside him, covered his muzzle and whispered in his ear. "Not another word, that is your repayment." That didn't make it suspicious at all. "Now let's leave this place the opposite way they did." He had a feeling that Storm was an awful father.

"Okay, deal and I'll forget what I saw." Cryotix said as he pulled away from Storm before walking towards an exit.

"Let's get this over with, I need to get out of here before I run into someone." Storm saying that just made Cryotix want to pry into why but getting a snowstorm was more important.

Cryotix motioned over one of his kobolds and watched them run over immediately, almost tripping over themself. "Be careful. Please clear some space outside so we can transform and take off." The kobold then immediately ran off and gathered others to help clear an area. "So anything you want to talk about?"

"Nope," Storm immediately replied.

A bit disappointing but not unexpected with how his conversations with other dragons typically go. At least he tried but it still didn't make it any less awkward to be around. When they got outside Cryotix remembered that he still had a ways to go with Storm still being quite a bit bigger than him. Watching the older dragon take off into the sky and he'd follow soon after.

High up in the air, Storm would start to conjure a storm while Cryotix helped give the area that extra push to make it cold enough to snow. His actions would certainly upset many in the city he was sure but hopefully the joy of having it snow would outweigh the others. Clouds filled the sky while Storm crackled with electrical energy, the old dragon's breath could then be seen signifying Cryotix had dropped the surrounding temperature.

Rain started to fall high above before freezing and turning to snow, a smile appeared on Cryotix's face as he felt the snow land on him. For a moment he could have sworn he saw Storm smile but then he turned away and descended back to the ground. He followed down after him, turning back into his wolf form when he landed.

Before going back inside the building Storm stopped and said, "You're gentle and kind like she was." That was probably the nicest thing he had ever said. "Don't let it get you killed." And of course it was followed up by something like that.

He honestly wasn't sure how to respond to that if there even was a good way to. "Thanks for the help today." With that Storm gathered his kobolds and vanished back through the waystone to his home.

With that out of the way, Cryotix went into the backroom the kobolds used and concentrated on bringing the ones he ate earlier back. Exhaling an icy mist charged with his magic and their souls, reforming their bodies. Giving them time to gather the spare clothes in there before sending them outside to enjoy the festival. Smiling to himself when he saw their faces light up upon seeing the snowfall.
