Hybrid - Shadows of a Former Self

[This story holds little to no yiffing, if you are looking for "Yiff" stories you should look elsewhere. This story contains violence, very graphic violence, and a hope for plotline. Raven Alfadir Melbourne is my character, he has been my character for over Five years, and I intend to keep it that way, do NOT ever use him without my permission.]

The scent in the air was thick, full of blood. Raven's heart was pounding as if some freight train was always going through his heart. He could feel the bloodlust rising in him, and to make matters worse, that damn sword was screaming in his mind. "KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL KILL" It was never ending. Raven was on his knee's holding his head between his hands, constantly shaking. What was going on? Where was he going? Where was he at now? Tears fell from the man's face, hitting the dirt road. Suddenly, everything vanished, leaving him drained. Breathing was heavy, his chest heaved as he slowly stopped shaking. "You failed again..." He spoke weakly into his mind. "I might not have won the battle...but I'm closer to winning the war...You know that all to well..." The sword was laughing in his face. What was wrong with Raven?

A few miles down the road later Raven was back to walking, his cloak wrapped tight around his body. He was in some new city that had constructed. "Have I really been away from civilization for so long?" The town that had once been so quiet, was a now bustling rather large city, Morphs of all different types walked around, humans as well. Hybrids where still nowhere to be seen although. "I suppose some things never change do they..." His hood drawn tight over his body, his right hand clenched the scaled monster of a left arm tightly. Of Course, Sheshmere was wrapped in bandages tied to his back. He got a few odd looks here and there, but not as many as he did years back. A large man carrying a heavy sword on his back and walking like it's nothing often did cause alarm of some kind. However nobody seemed to approach him. "Times have changed..." he thought to himself again.

Meanwhile, in the tavern, a large dragon-anthro was being rather frisky with the Bunny-Maid, his hand firmly groping her rear end with a glint of lust in his eyes. "So...Natalya...You feel up for another round tonight?" His grin was ear to ear almost, he was quite possibly the strongest in the whole city as far as underground fighting went, he only needed his fistcuffs to win and every woman swooned to bed with him. "Ira!" A winded mouse had ran into the tavern, bending over just in the doorway panting for breath "What is it Vic? Why are you out of breath every time I see you?" Panting, the mouse made his way towards the Dragon and Bunny, sitting down as he motioned for Natalya to move away. "You're tired of fighting the same faces right? " Ira tilted his head lightly, giving Natalya's rear a firm squeeze he swatted it to send her off. "And if I am?" Victor's face brightened then. "What if I told you there was a new face in town...And he's a lot bigger then you sporting some weird sword wrapped in bandages..." Ira's eyes narrowed. "Who is he?" Victor shrugged at the question. "No one knows, Ol' Man Balro said he saw the same man walk into town over sixty years ago just to buy a new cloak...Other then that we don't' even know his name, he always paid in gems though...Never gold or coin....Always gems...and he overpaid every time." Ira's face twisted into a grin. "So...He's loaded, and is old...This could be fun alright...Tell the boys to set it up, right now. Find out where he is, and tell me, I'll fight this one in the streets.".

Raven moved through the crowds effortlessly. "No glaring looks...no questions...No guards telling me to hurry up and leave...It's a new world..." Raven was silently smiling to himself. Every time he came to this place he went somewhere new to get his cloaks made. He decided this time to go to a rather poor district. He found the shop he wanted and entered, once inside he found the place smelled horribly, animal skins on the wall which haven't exactly been dried right. He saw the owner, a rather poor looking Goblin. "What you want! Goki is busy! Goki must work!" The small creature turned, looking at the large figure, nearly flipping backwards "YOU COME ROB GOKI, GOKI KNOWS THIS! GOKI WILL FIGHT BACK GOKI WILL NOT LET YOU STEAL HIS STUFF!" Raven simply blinked as he tossed a flawed Ruby at the Goblin, it thumped the creature right in the forehead causing it to shriek in terror. "GOKI NEVER SURR- Ruby? What you pay for? Goki not have you customer..." Finally, Raven spoke "Blue Cloak, Six feet three inches in length, arms twenty four inches. I'll expect it done in four hours." The Goblin blinked a few times. "Goki understand, Goki finish in two hours!"

Raven left the small building hefting a sigh. "Since when did Goblins own their own shops? Whatever...What else is new in this pla---" he turned a club had just missed his right ear. He came face to face with his attacker, a rather vicious looking face, a wicked snarl on his face. "Ira wants a fight with you..." Raven's eyes narrowed. "Do I look like I care what you people want?" Raven took a step back his left eye looking off to the side.

Ira was watching, he didn't like having to use dirty play to win his fights, but this person's movements were too swift for someone of that size. Grimore and Kassadin was told to wear him out, but not to hit him in any vital areas. "Show me something... Anything that will give me even the slightest advantage..."

Raven shifted finding that the Coyote and Canine seemed to attack rather well together, however, Raven and his elf-like agility kept him from getting hit. Each hit they attempted to make kept missing. Finally Raven spoke. "This is boring... This has no use neither of you will ever hit me..." With a last drastic effor, the Coyote Kassadin and the Canine Grimore both made combined attacks, Kassadin brought his left leg up, aiming a kick for the Hybrid's head while Grimore punched straight towards Raven's gut. Easily, Raven ducked while stepping back, causing the Coyote to kick it's comrade straight in the face knocking the Canine out cold.

Ira sighed "Damnit...I guess I have to fight him without knowing anything about his skills..." Stepping into the now-formed circle of on-lookers "My turn...Hope you're warmed up stranger, I'm Ira Sophrosyne Black Dragon fighter.' The nude Dragon smiled boldly, holding up his fist-cuffs. "No holds barred, knock-out, death, or first blood? Whats your poison?"

Sighing, Raven looked over at the dragon. "Why do I always get targeted by the idiots... " Raven eased back a little from the dragon, blue eyes narrowing. Slowly bringing up his hands in front of him. "I don't want to fight...Leave me alone..."

Ira snickered "You don't wanna fight but you're purty damn good at it aren't cha'? Without a sweat or effort you bested the best of the best in dual fights...I'd suggest you're a veteran, if not a legend in the fighting community...What's your name?"

Raven had narrowed his eyes at this point. "My name is Nobody, from nowhere." Raven eased his hands down. Backing away slowly. "If you don't want to be humiliated, leave me be..." In a sudden burst of light, his hood was pulled off his head. Revealing pale flesh, elongated ears, deep blue braided hair slung over one shoulder but still hidden under the cloak. Blue scales covering the left side of his face, this harbored many gasps and covered mouths in the area.

Ira's eyes widened. That explained quite a bit...He looked heavy but moved swifter then any feline. Graceful, lethal, and deadly...all rolled into one package. "This looks bad..." Ira thought to himself, however he made it his reputation to never back down. He began advancing on the obviously older and more experienced foe.

Raven's face was stoic, however there was a deep anger burning inside of him. The coyote had made a quick pull at his cloak and shown what he really was. Raven was in no real stance, his arms at his side. His right hand came up, gripping Sheshmere and stabbing the still covered blade into the ground, which had been pure stone, cracking it in several places. "Remember, you asked for this..." Raven eased his shoulders back, letting the cloak fall from his shoulders, more blue scaled climbed down his left arm the claw-like left hand formed a fist, the sound of scraping scales went into the air, Raven gripped his braided pony-tail with his right hand, wrapping it around his neck a few times, not only did this keep his hair from swinging around and letting the opponant get a chance to grab it, but also it kept his throat safe, as if his hair was some kind of padding that would take the blunt of most blows sent towards him.

Ira had enough waiting, right after Raven had finished wrapping his hair around his neck, the Dragon busted into motion, his arms moving like cobra's, quick silent strikes being made at the torso area of the Hybrid in front of him. Each of his attacks was defleted, one by one Ira would either feel flesh, or scales against his arms. "How is he so fast? I can barely even follow his movements!" His mind was getting flustered and Raven had began to let Ira to push forwards, making him look like he was doing good to onlookers. Finally, Ira pushed back, bringing his legs out in front of him, his arms going down, hitting the ground under the full of his weight as he suddenly pushed himself towards Raven, his body spinning in the process wings wrapping around himself as the screw connected. "YESS!" Ira thought to himself.

Raven up to this point had been waiting and watching each movement to each strike, memorizing them. However he was caught off guard when the dragon dashed back and then suddenly started spinning and kicked with both legs towards him, his arms crossed taking the blunt of the blow as Raven was sent into the stone wall of a building. His body flatted out, sinking into the thick rock a few inches. He remained motionless for a few moments while the Anthro stood up, brushing himself off "You ain't so tough!" Sighing, Raven slowly pulled himself out of the wall. "That hurt kid...My turn.." His left fingers all straightened out as a flow of elements began to flutter across his claw-tips in the form of electric shock. "My turn..." Raven dashed forwards, his hand hitting bones as he began making rapid horizontal slahes hitting the Dragon's arms intentionally, the first few strikes did little to no harm however there was a sudden "CRACK" sound and a yelp of pain from the dragon as thick red blood began to coat his claw-tips. Raven's eyes took on a deeper glow as the slashes soon became thrusts.

Ira's eyes where closed, he was being driven back and soon his back was against a wall his arms up in front of his face in a Boxer's block style he could feel that claw breaking scales and flesh, he could feel his life force dripping down his forearms and off his elbows onto the ground. His arms seered with burning pain, strangely there was no pain from the shocking electricity jolting from the Hybrid's fingertips.

Raven's anger was consuming him, chunks of the Dragon's scales began falling from his arms, leaving the "top" of his forearms bloodied and broken, in some places, bone could be seen, finally, Raven backed off a little, his fingers straightened and locked. A feral growl escaped his lips as he swung his arms, his fingertips cutting and breaking through bone slicing the dragon's arms off completely in the middle of his forearms.. It was at this time, he heard the voice finally. "I win..." He felt the eye of Sheshmere in the back of his mind, glaring at him in a state of bloodlust. "I didn't even need to provoke you..."
